For every finite n > 1, the embedding property fails in the class of all n-dimensional cylindric type algebras which satisfy the following. Their boolean reducts are boolean algebras and two of the cylindrifications are normal, additive and commute. This result also holds for all subclasses containing the representable n-dimensional cylindric algebras. This considerably strengthens a result of S. Comer on CA n and provides a strong counterexample for interpolation in finite variable fragments of first order logic. We provide a new modern proof, using an argument inspired by modal logic. We construct cubic Jordan algebras over an integral proper scheme X such that 2, 3 ∈ H 0(X, 𝒪 X ), generalizing a construction by B. N. Allison and J. R. Faulkner. In the process, we obtain admissible cubic algebras and pseudocomposition algebras over X. Results on the structure of these algebras are obtained, as well as examples over elliptic curves.  相似文献

We discuss locally simply transitive affine actions of Lie groups G on finite-dimensional vector spaces such that the commutator subgroup [G, G] is acting by translations. In other words, we consider left-symmetric algebras satisfying the identity [x, yz = 0. We derive some basic characterizations of such left-symmetric algebras, and we highlight their relationships with the so-called Novikov algebras and derivation algebras.  相似文献

We develop a new method to deal with the Cancellation Conjecture of Zariski in different environments. We prove the conjecture for free associative algebras of rank two. We also produce a new proof of the conjecture for polynomial algebras of rank two over fields of zero characteristic.

It is a small step toward the Koszul-type algebras.The piecewise-Koszul algebras are, in general,a new class of quadratic algebras but not the classical Koszul ones,simultaneously they agree with both the classical Koszul and higher Koszul algebras in special cases.We give a criteria theorem for a graded algebra A to be piecewise-Koszul in terms of its Yoneda-Ext algebra E(A),and show an A_∞-structure on E(A).Relations between Koszul algebras and piecewise-Koszul algebras are discussed.In particular,our results are related to the third question of Green-Marcos.  相似文献

Pairing and Quantum Double of Multiplier Hopf Algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We define and investigate pairings of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras which are nonunital generalizations of Hopf algebras. Dual pairs of multiplier Hopf algebras arise naturally from any multiplier Hopf algebra A with integral and its dual Â. Pairings of multiplier Hopf algebras play a basic rôle, e.g., in the study of actions and coactions, and, in particular, in the relation between them. This aspect of the theory is treated elsewhere. In this paper we consider the quantum double construction out of a dual pair of multiplier Hopf algebras. We show that two dually paired regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras A and B yield a quantum double which is again a regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebra. If A and B have integrals, then the quantum double also has an integral. If A and B are Hopf algebras, then the quantum double multiplier Hopf algebra is the usual quantum double. The quantum double construction for dually paired multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras yields new nontrivial examples of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we generalize naturally graded filiform Lie algebras as well as filiform Lie algebras admitting a connected gradation of maximal length, by introducing the concept of c-graded complex filiform Lie algebras. We deal with the particular case of 3-graded filiform Lie algebras and we obtain their classification in arbitrary dimension. We finally show a link among derived algebras, graded filiform and rigid solvable Lie algebras.  相似文献

The finite dimensional tame hereditary algebras are associated with the extended Dynkin diagrams. An indecomposable module over such an algebra is either preprojective or preinjective or lies in a family of tubes whose tubular type is the corresponding Dynkin diagram. The study of one-point extensions by simple regular modules in such tubes was initiated in [Ri].

We generalise this approach by starting out with algebras which are derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra and considering one-point extensions by modules which are simple regular in tubes in the derived category. If the obtained tubular type is again a Dynkin diagram these algebras are called derived Dynkin extensions.

Our main theorem says that a representation infinite algebra is derived equivalent to a tame hereditary algebra iff it is an iterated derived Dynkin extension of a tame concealed algebra. As application we get a new proof of a theorem in [AS] about domestic tubular branch enlargements which uses the derived category instead of combinatorial arguments.  相似文献

We study the relationship of backcrossing algebras with mutation algebras and algebras satisfying ω-polynomial identities: we show that in a backcrossing algebra every element of weight 1 generates a mutation algebra and that for any polynomial identity f there is a backcrossing algebra satisfying f. We give a criterion for the existence of idempotent in the case of baric algebras satisfying a nonhomogeneous polynomial identity and containing a backcrossing subalgebra. We give numerous genetic interpretations of the algebraic results.  相似文献

We study not necessarily associative (NNA) division algebras over the reals. We classify in this paper series those that admit a grading over a finite group G, and have a basis {v g |g ∈ G} as a real vector space, and the product of these basis elements respects the grading and includes a scalar structure constant with values only in {1, ? 1}. We classify here those graded by an abelian group G of order |G| ≤8 with G non–isomorphic to ?/8?. We will find the complex, quaternion, and octonion algebras, but also a remarkable set of novel non–associative division algebras.  相似文献

In their recent paper [13], Tate and Van den Bergh studied certain quadratic algebras, called the “Sklyanin algebras”. They proved that these algebras have the Hilbert series of a polynomial algebra, are Noetherian and Koszul, and satisfy the Auslander-Gorenstein and Cohen-Macaulay conditions. This paper gives an alternative proof of these results, as suggested in [13], and thereby answering a question in their paper.  相似文献

In this note, we apply classification results for finite-dimensional Nichols algebras to generalizations of Fomin–Kirillov algebras to complex reflection groups. First, we focus on the case of cyclic groups where the corresponding Nichols algebras are only finite-dimensional up to order four, and we include results about the existence of Weyl groupoids and finite-dimensional Nichols subalgebras for this class. Second, recent results by Heckenberger–Vendramin [ArXiv e-prints, 1412.0857 (December 2014)] on the classification of Nichols algebras of semisimple group type can be used to find that these algebras are infinite-dimensional for many non-exceptional complex reflection groups in the Shephard–Todd classification.  相似文献

An inclusion of II 1 factors NM of finite index has as an invariant, a double sequence of finite-dimensional algebras known as the standard invariant. Planar algebras were introduced by V. Jones as a geometric tool for computing standard invariants of existing subfactors as well as generating standard invariants for new subfactors. In this paper we define a class of planar algebras, termed exchange relation planar algebras, that provides a general framework for understanding several classes of known subfactor inclusions: the Fuss–Catalan algebras (i.e. those coming from the presence of intermediate subfactors) and all depth 2 subfactors. In addition, we present a new class of planar algebras (and thus a new class of subfactors) coming from automorphism subgroups of finite groups.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that there are no self-extensions of simple modules over restricted Lie algebras of Cartan type. The proof given by Andersen for classical Lie algebras not only uses the representation theory of the Lie algebra, but also representations of the corresponding reductive algebraic group. The proof presented in the paper follows in the same spirit by using the construction of a infinite-dimensional Hopf algebra D(G) u( ) containing u( ) as a normal Hopf subalgebra, and the representation theory of this algebra developed in our previous work. Finite-dimensional hyperalgebra analogs D(G r ) u( ) have also been constructed, and the results are stated in this setting.  相似文献
