In this paper, a numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media will be discussed. For the solution of FPDEs, we developed a numerical collocation method using an algorithm based on two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation, which is proposed for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media. By implementing the partial Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative operators, two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation and its operational matrix along with collocation method are used to convert FPDEs first into weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations and then converted weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations into system of algebraic equation. Some results concerning the convergence analysis and error analysis are obtained. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique. In this article, the sub‐equation method is presented for finding the exact solutions of a nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. For this, the fractional complex transformation method has been used to convert fractional‐order partial differential equation to ordinary differential equation. The fractional derivatives are described in Jumarie's the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. We apply to this method for the nonlinear time fractional differential equations. With the aid of symbolic computation, a variety of exact solutions for them are obtained. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this work, we present numerical analysis for nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation which involve Caputo‐type fractional derivatives for . The proposed method is based on utilization of fractional B‐spline basics in collocation method. The scheme can be readily obtained efficient and quite accurate with less computational work numerical result. The proposal approach transform nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation into a suitable linear system of algebraic equations which can be solved by a suitable numerical method. The numerical experiments will be verify to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for solving one‐ and two‐dimensional multi‐term time fractional differential equation.  相似文献

In this article, numerical study for both nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger equation and the coupled nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger system is presented. We offer here the weighted average nonstandard finite difference method (WANSFDM) as a novel numerical technique to study such kinds of partial differential equations. The space fractional derivative is described in the sense of the quantum Riesz‐Feller definition. Stability analysis of the proposed method is studied. To show that this method is reliable and computationally efficient different numerical examples are provided. We expect that the proposed schemes can be applicable to different systems of fractional partial differential equations. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This article is concerned with ?‐methods for delay parabolic partial differential equations. The methodology is extended to time‐fractional‐order parabolic partial differential equations in the sense of Caputo. The fully implicit scheme preserves delay‐independent asymptotic stability and the solution continuously depends on the time‐fractional order. Several numerical examples of interest are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2010  相似文献

This paper presents numerical solutions for the space‐ and time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries equation (KdV for short) using the variational iteration method. The space‐ and time‐fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. The iteration method, which produces the solutions in terms of convergent series with easily computable components, requiring no linearization or small perturbation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to space‐ and time‐fractional KdV equations. The method introduces a promising tool for solving many space–time fractional partial differential equations. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2007  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a two‐dimensional multi‐term time‐fractional Oldroyd‐B equation on a rectangular domain. Its analytical solution is obtained by the method of separation of variables. We employ the finite difference method with a discretization of the Caputo time‐fractional derivative to obtain an implicit difference approximation for the equation. Stability and convergence of the approximation scheme are established in the L ‐norm. Two examples are given to illustrate the theoretical analysis and analytical solution. The results indicate that the present numerical method is effective for this general two‐dimensional multi‐term time‐fractional Oldroyd‐B model.  相似文献

In this paper, we compared two different methods, one numerical technique, viz Legendre multiwavelet method, and the other analytical technique, viz optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM), for solving fractional‐order Kaup–Kupershmidt (KK) equation. Two‐dimensional Legendre multiwavelet expansion together with operational matrices of fractional integration and derivative of wavelet functions is used to compute the numerical solution of nonlinear time‐fractional KK equation. The approximate solutions of time fractional Kaup–Kupershmidt equation thus obtained by Legendre multiwavelet method are compared with the exact solutions as well as with OHAM. The present numerical scheme is quite simple, effective, and expedient for obtaining numerical solution of fractional KK equation in comparison to analytical approach of OHAM. Distributed-order differential equations have recently been investigated for complex dynamical systems, which have been used to describe some important physical phenomena. In this paper, a new time distributed-order and two-sided space-fractional advection-dispersion equation is considered. Firstly, we transform the time distributed-order fractional equation into a multi-term time-space fractional partial differential equation by applying numerical integration. Then an implicit numerical method is constructed to solve the multi-term fractional equation. The uniqueness, stability and convergence of the implicit numerical method are proved. Some numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. The method and techniques can be extended to other time distributed-order and space-fractional partial differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a high‐order finite difference scheme for the solution of a time fractional partial integro‐differential equation with a weakly singular kernel. The fractional derivative is used in the Riemann‐Liouville sense. We prove the unconditional stability and convergence of scheme using energy method and show that the convergence order is . We provide some numerical experiments to confirm the efficiency of suggested scheme. The results of numerical experiments are compared with analytical solutions to show the efficiency of proposed scheme. It is illustrated that the numerical results are in good agreement with theoretical ones.  相似文献

In this paper, an effective numerical approach based on a new two‐dimensional hybrid of parabolic and block‐pulse functions (2D‐PBPFs) is presented for solving nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations of fractional order. Our approach is based on 2D‐PBPFs operational matrix method together with the fractional integral operator, described in the Riemann–Liouville sense. The main characteristic behind this approach is to reduce such problems to those of solving systems of algebraic equations, which greatly simplifies the problem. By using Newton's iterative method, this system is solved, and the solution of fractional nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations is achieved. Convergence analysis and an error estimate associated with the proposed method is obtained, and it is proved that the numerical convergence order of the suggested numerical method is O(h3) . The validity and applicability of the method are demonstrated by solving three numerical examples. Numerical examples are presented in the form of tables and graphs to make comparisons with the exact solutions much easier.  相似文献

In this work, we use the spectral Galerkin method to prove the existence of a pathwise unique mild solution of a fractional stochastic partial differential equation of Burgers type in a Hölder space. We get the temporal regularity, and using a combination of Galerkin and exponential‐Euler methods, we obtain a full discretization scheme of the solution. Moreover, we calculate the rates of convergence for both approximations (Galerkin and full discretization) with respect to time and to space.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to propose a multigrid method to obtain the numerical solution of the one‐dimensional nonlinear sine‐Gordon equation. The finite difference equations at all interior grid points form a large sparse linear system, which needs to be solved efficiently. The solution cost of this sparse linear system usually dominates the total cost of solving the discretized partial differential equation. The proposed method is based on applying a compact finite difference scheme of fourth‐order for discretizing the spatial derivative and the standard second‐order central finite difference method for the time derivative. The proposed method uses the Richardson extrapolation method in time variable. The obtained system has been solved by V‐cycle multigrid (VMG) method, where the VMG method is used for solving the large sparse linear systems. The numerical examples show the efficiency of this algorithm for solving the one‐dimensional sine‐Gordon equation. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a backward problem for a space‐fractional partial differential equation. The main purpose is to propose a modified regularization method for the inverse problem. The existence and the uniqueness for the modified regularized solution are proved. To derive the gradient of the optimization functional, the variational adjoint method is introduced, and hence, the unknown initial value is reconstructed. Finally, numerical examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, time‐splitting spectral approximation technique has been proposed for Chen‐Lee‐Liu (CLL) equation involving Riesz fractional derivative. The proposed numerical technique is efficient, unconditionally stable, and of second‐order accuracy in time and of spectral accuracy in space. Moreover, it conserves the total density in the discretized level. In order to examine the results, with the aid of weighted shifted Grünwald‐Letnikov formula for approximating Riesz fractional derivative, Crank‐Nicolson weighted and shifted Grünwald difference (CN‐WSGD) method has been applied for Riesz fractional CLL equation. The comparison of results reveals that the proposed time‐splitting spectral method is very effective and simple for obtaining single soliton numerical solution of Riesz fractional CLL equation.  相似文献

In this paper, a variable-order fractional derivative nonlinear cable equation is considered. It is commonly accepted that fractional differential equations play an important role in the explanation of many physical phenomena. For this reason we need a reliable and efficient technique for the solution of fractional differential equations. This paper deals with the numerical solution of class of fractional partial differential equation with variable coefficient of fractional differential equation in various continues functions of spatial and time orders. Our main aim is to generalize the Chebyshev cardinal operational matrix to the fractional calculus. Finally, illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the presented technique.  相似文献

In this paper, a new numerical method for solving the fractional Bagley‐Torvik equation is presented. The method is based upon hybrid functions approximation. The properties of hybrid functions consisting of block‐pulse functions and Bernoulli polynomials are presented. The Riemann‐Liouville fractional integral operator for hybrid functions is introduced. This operator is then utilized to reduce the solution of the initial and boundary value problems for the fractional Bagley‐Torvik differential equation to a system of algebraic equations. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, the homotopy analysis method is applied to solve nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. On the basis of the homotopy analysis method, a scheme is developed to obtain the approximate solution of the fractional KdV, K(2,2), Burgers, BBM‐Burgers, cubic Boussinesq, coupled KdV, and Boussinesq‐like B(m,n) equations with initial conditions, which are introduced by replacing some integer‐order time derivatives by fractional derivatives. The homotopy analysis method for partial differential equations of integer‐order is directly extended to derive explicit and numerical solutions of the fractional partial differential equations. The solutions of the studied models are calculated in the form of convergent series with easily computable components. The results of applying this procedure to the studied cases show the high accuracy and efficiency of the new technique. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel collocation method based on Genocchi wavelet is presented for the numerical solution of fractional differential equations and time‐fractional partial differential equations with delay. In this work, to achieve the approximate solution with height accuracy, we employed the operational matrix of integer derivative and the pseudo‐operational matrix of fractional derivative in Caputo sense. Also, based on Genocchi function properties, we presented delay and pantograph operational matrices of Genocchi wavelet functions (GWFs). Due to operational and pseudo‐operational matrices, the equations under this study can be turned into nonlinear algebraic equations with the unknown GWF coefficients. For illustrating the upper bound of error for the proposed method, we estimate the error in the sense of Sobolev space. In addition, to demonstrate the efficacy of the pseudo‐operational matrix of fractional derivative, we investigate the upper bound of error for the mentioned matrix. Finally, the algorithm based on the proposed approach is implemented for some numerical experiments to confirm accuracy and applicability.  相似文献

In this paper, the ‐expansion method is proposed to establish hyperbolic and trigonometric function solutions for fractional differential‐difference equations with the modified Riemann–Liouville derivative. The fractional complex transform is proposed to convert a fractional partial differential‐difference equation into its differential‐difference equation of integer order. We obtain the hyperbolic and periodic function solutions of the nonlinear time‐fractional Toda lattice equations and relativistic Toda lattice system. The proposed method is more effective and powerful for obtaining exact solutions for nonlinear fractional differential–difference equations and systems.
