The Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ (0≤y≤0.20) phosphors were synthesized at 1100 °C in air by the solid-state reaction route. The as-synthesized phosphors were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoluminescence excitation (PLE), photoluminescence (PL) spectra and thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. The PLE spectra show the excitation peaks from 300 to 400 nm due to the 4f-4f transitions of Dy3+. This mercury-free excitation is useful for solid-state lighting and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The emission of Dy3+ ions on 350 nm excitation was observed at 480 nm (blue) due to the 4F9/26H15/2 transitions, 575 nm (yellow) due to 4F9/26H13/2 transitions and 660 nm (red) due to weak 4F9/26H11/2 emissions. The PL results from the investigated Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ phosphors show that Dy3+ emissions increase with the increase of the Na+ codoping ions. The integral intensity of yellow to blue (Y/B) can be tuned by controlling Na+ content. By the simulation of white light, the optimal CIE value (0.328, 0.334) can be achieved when the content of Na+-codoping ions is y=0.2. The results imply that the Ca2.95−yDy0.05B2O6:yNa+ phosphors could be potentially used as white LEDs.  相似文献

Ce3+ and Dy3+ activated Li2CaGeO4 phosphors were prepared by a solid-state reaction method, and characterized by XRD (X-ray diffraction) and photoluminescence techniques. The characteristic emission bands of Dy3+ due to 4F9/26H15/2 (blue) and 4F9/26H13/2 (yellow) transitions were detected in the emission spectra of Li2CaGeO4:Dy3+. Ce3+ broad band emission was observed in Li2CaGeO4:Ce3+ phosphors at 372 and 400 nm due to 5d→4f transition when excited at 353 nm. Co-doping of Ce3+ enhanced the luminescence of Dy3+ significantly and concentration quenching occurs when Dy3+ is beyond 0.04 mol%. White-light with different hues can be realized by tuning Dy3+ concentration in the phosphors.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the spectral results of Dy3+ and Pr3+ (1.0 mol%) ions doped Bi2O3-ZnF2-B2O3-Li2O-Na2O glasses. Measurements of X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) profiles of these rare-earth ions doped glasses have been carried out. From the DSC thermograms, glass transition (Tg), crystallization (Tc) and melting (Tm) temperatures have been evaluated. The direct and indirect optical band gaps have been calculated based on the glasses UV absorption spectra. The emission spectrum of Dy3+:glass has shown two emission transitions 4F7/26H15/2 (482 nm) and 4F7/26H13/2 (576 nm) with an excitation at 390 nm wavelength and Pr3+:glass has shown a strong emission transition 1D23H4 (610 nm) with an excitation at 445 nm. Upon exposure to UV radiation, Dy3+ and Pr3+ glasses have shown bright yellow and reddish colors, respectively, from their surfaces.  相似文献

Structural, morphological and optical properties of rare earth ions (RE3+=Sm3+ or Dy3+) activated Ca3Ga2Si3O12 (CaGaSi) phosphors synthesized by the sol-gel method are reported. XRD results confirmed the cubic phase structure of RE3+:CaGaSi phosphors. From the SEM images of RE3+:CaGaSi phosphors, it is observed that the particles are agglomerated. Photoluminescence spectra of Sm3+:CaGaSi phosphors have shown bright orange red emission at 598 nm (4G5/26H7/2) with an excitation wavelength of λexci=401 nm. In the case of Dy3+:CaGaSi phosphors bright yellow emission has been observed at 574 nm (4F9/26H13/2) with λexci=451 nm. From the PL spectral results, the rare earth ion concentration of CaGaSi phosphors is optimized.  相似文献

Long afterglow Sr3MgSi2O8: Eu, Dy phosphor with high brightness was prepared by sintering at high temperature and weak reductive atmosphere. The luminescent properties of this photoluminescent pigment were studied systematically by investigating concentration effects. The analytical results indicated that the main emission peaks appear at 482 nm. The excitation and emission spectra of this phosphor show that both of them are broadband. This is ascribed to the 4f7→4f65d1 transition of Eu2+ in the pigment matrix, which is in good agreement with the calculated value of 470 nm, and implies that luminescent centers Eu2+ occupy the deca-coordinated Sr2+ sites with the host of Sr3MgSi2O8.  相似文献

The white-light long-lasting phosphors Y2O2S:Tb3+, Sr2+ or/and Zr4+ were prepared and studied. The white-light afterglow emission after the irradiation with 254 nm UV are composed of the blue light emission and the yellowish-green light emission, originating from the transitions of 5D37F5, 5D47F5 in Tb3+ when the Tb3+ concentration is not higher than 0.3 at%. The codoped Sr2+ and Zr4+ ions act as trap-creating ions. The afterglow can last over 21 min in the dark for Y2O2S:Tb3+0.3%, Sr2+4%, Zr4+4% after irradiation by 254 nm ultraviolet light. Y2O2S:Tb3+ may be a promising material for the development of white-light long-lasting phosphor since the Tb3+ has a high luminescent efficiency and the dominant excitation band of 4f →5d is located at 220-300 nm.  相似文献

The shift of the emission band to longer wavelength (yellow-orange) of the Ba2MgSi2−xAlxO7: 0.1Eu2+ phosphor under the 350-450 nm excitation range has been achieved by adding the codoping element (Mn2+) in the host. The single-host silicate phosphor for WLED, Ba2MgSi2−xAlxO7: 0.1Eu2+, 0.1Mn2+ was prepared by high-temperature solid-state reaction. It was found experimentally that, its three-color emission peaks are situated at 623, 501 and 438 nm, respectively, under excitation of 350-450 nm irradiation. The emission peaks at 438 and 501 nm originate from the transition 5d to 4f of Eu2+ ions that occupy the two Ba2+ sites in the crystal of Ba2MgSi2−x AlxO7, while the 623 nm emission is attributed to the energy transfer from Eu2+ ions to Mn2+ ions. The white light can be obtained by mixing the three emission colors of blue (438 nm), green (501 nm) and red (623 nm) in the single host. When the concentrations of the Al3+, Eu2+ and Mn2+ ions were 0.4, 0.1 and 0.1 mol, respectively, the sample presented intense white emission. The addition of Al ion to the host leads to a substantial change of intensity ratio between blue and green emissions. White light could be obtained by combining this phosphor with 405 nm light-emitting diodes. The near-ultraviolet GaN-based Ba2MgSi1.7 Al0.3O7: 0.1Eu2+, 0.1Mn2+ LED achieves good color rendering of over 85.  相似文献

Eu,Ti co-doped Y2O2S:0.03Ti,0.03Eu phosphors and single Eu or Ti doped Y2O2S phosphors were prepared and their luminescent properties were investigated in detail by photoluminescence (PL) spectra, long afterglow spectra and thermoluminescence spectra measurements. The results showed that Y2O2S:Ti,Eu phosphors possess orange-red afterglow color with afterglow time above 5 h. The reddish afterglow color, which corresponds to a set of linear Eu3+ emissions at low-energy range (540-630 nm), was demonstrated to come from the energy transfer process from yellow Ti afterglow emissions, the proposed energy transfer mechanism may well explain the Eu3+ afterglow emission.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the photoluminescence properties of Pr3+-, Sm3+- and Dy3+-doped germanate glasses and glass ceramics. From the X-ray diffraction measurement, the host glass structure was determined. These glasses have shown strong absorption bands in the near-infrared (NIR) region. Compared to Pr3+-, Sm3+- and Dy3+-doped glasses, their respective glass ceramics have shown stronger emissions due to the Ba2TiGe2O8 crystalline phase. For Pr3+-doped glass and glass ceramic, emission bands centered at 530 nm (3P03H5), 614 nm (3P03H6), 647 nm (3P03F2) and 686 nm (3P03F3) have been observed with 485 nm (3H43P0) excitation wavelength. Of them, 647 nm (3P03F2) has shown bright red emission. Emission bands of 4G5/26H5/2 (565 nm), 4G5/26H7/2 (602 nm) and 4G5/26H9/2 (648 nm) for the Sm3+:glass and glass ceramic, with excitation at 6H5/24F7/2 (405 nm) have been recorded. Of them, 4G5/26H7/2 (602 nm) has shown a bright orange emission. With regard to the Dy3+:glass and glass ceramic, a bright fluorescent yellow emission at 577 nm (4F9/26H13/2) has been observed, apart from 4F9/26H11/2 (667 nm) emission transition with an excitation at 454 nm (6H15/24I15/2) wavelength. The stimulated emission cross-sections of all the emission bands of Pr3+, Sm3+ and Dy3+:glasses and glass ceramics have been computed based on their measured full-width at half-maxima (FWHM, Δλ) and lifetimes (τm).  相似文献

Using urea as fuel, SrMgAl10O17:Eu, Dy phosphor was prepared by a combustion method. Its luminescence properties under ultraviolet (UV) excitation were investigated. Pure SrMgAl10O17 phase was formed by urea-nitrate solution combustion synthesis at 550 °C. The results indicated that the emission spectra of SrMgAl10O17:Eu, Dy has one main peak at 460 nm and one shoulder peak near 516 nm, which are ascribed to two different types of luminescent Eu2+ centers existing in the SrMgAl10O17 matrix crystal. The blue luminescence emission of SrMgAl10O17:Eu phosphors was improved under UV excitation by codoping Dy3+ ions. The SrMgAl10O17:Eu phosphors showed green afterglow (λ=516 nm) when Dy3+ ions were doped. Dy3+ ions not only successfully play the role of sensitizer for energy transfer in the system, but also act as trap levels and capture the free holes in the spinel blocks.  相似文献

The co-precipitation reaction soft chemistry method was employed to prepare fine YPO4:Dy3+ phosphor particles calcined at 950 °C. Adjusting appropriate pH and introducing lithium may greatly affect the particle size of the product and further affect the luminescence intensity. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron micrograph (TEM) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The obtained YPO4 nanocrystals appeared to be spherical with some agglomeration and their sizes ranged from 20 to 40 nm. The characteristic transitions of Dy3+ due to 4F9/26H15/2 (blue) and 4F9/26H13/2 (yellow) were detected in the emission spectra.  相似文献

This paper reports the photoluminescence and afterglow behavior of Eu2+ and Eu3+ in Sr3Al2O6 matrix co-doped with Dy3+. The samples containing Eu2+ and Eu3+ were prepared via solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction (XRD), photo luminescent spectroscope (PLS) and thermal luminescent spectroscope (TLS) were employed to characterize the phosphors. The comparison between the emission spectra revealed that Sr3Al2O6 phosphors doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ and Eu3+, Dy3+ showed different photoluminescence. The phosphor doped with Eu3+, Dy3+ showed an intrinsic f-f transition generated from Eu3+, with two significant emissions at 591 and 610 nm. However, the phosphor doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ revealed a broad d-f emission centering around 512 nm. After the UV source was turned off, Eu2+, Dy3+ activated Sr3Al2O6 phosphor showed excellent afterglow while Eu3+, Dy3+ activated phosphor almost showed no afterglow. Thermal simulated luminescence study indicated that the persistent afterglow of Sr3Al2O6: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor was generated by suitable electron traps formed by the co-doped rare-earth ions (Dy3+) within the host.  相似文献

Phosphors of nanoparticles YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ (0?X?1) have been prepared by a citrate sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra were utilized to characterize the phosphors. The results of XRD showed that a solid solution formed in YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ phosphor series from X=0 to X=1 with zircon structure. TEM and SEM studies revealed that the obtained YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ nanocrystals appeared to be spherical with some agglomeration and their sizes ranged from 30 to 80 nm. Upon short ultraviolet excitation, the optical properties of all the powder presented that the characteristic transitions of Dy3+ due to 4F9/2-6H15/2 (blue) and 4F9/2-6H13/2 (yellow) were detected. Besides this, in the system of YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+, the yellow-to-blue intensity ratio (Y/B) depended on the value of P/V greatly, with the increasing of X value and the decreased Y/B value. The phosphor found to yield white light when the value of X in the range of X=0.775-0.85, the optimum concentration for Dy3+ is 1 mol% of Y in the host, and the emission intensity increased with the annealing temperature.  相似文献

Long persistent SrAl2O4:Eu2+ phosphors co-doped with Dy3+ were prepared by the solid state reaction method. The main diffraction peaks of the monoclinic structure of SrAl2O4 were observed in all the samples. The broad band emission spectra at 497 nm for SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ were observed and the emission is attributed to the 4f65d1 to 4f7 transition of Eu2+ ions. The samples annealed at 1100–1200 °C showed similar broad TL glow curves centered at 120 °C. The similar TL glow curves suggest that the traps responsible for them are similar. The long afterglow displayed by the phosphors annealed at different temperatures, may be attributed to the Dy3+ ions acting as the hole trap levels, which play an important role in prolonging the duration of luminescence.  相似文献

5 mol% of Pr3+ and Tm3+ ions activated calcium gadolinium tungstate (Ca2Gd2W3O14) phosphors were synthesized by traditional solid state reaction method. Crystalline phase structure was identified from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) profiles. From the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, we have observed the agglomeration of the particles, and average grain size is around 40-300 nm. Using the energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, identified the elements and functional groups present in the prepared phosphors. The emission spectrum of Pr3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 powder phosphors have shown an intense red emission at 615 nm with the excitation wavelength λexci=450 nm and thus these red color emitting powder phosphors are used as one of the components in the preparation of WLEDs. The excitation spectrum of Tm3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 powder phosphor has shown a ligand to metal charge transfer (W-O) band (LMCT) within the WO42− group. Emission spectrum of Tm3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 phosphors have shown blue emissions at 453 nm (1D23F4).  相似文献

Tb-doped SrSi2O2N2 phosphors with promising luminescent properties were synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction method, characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and studied by photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra. The synthesized materials exhibited a weak blue emission and a strong green emission in the region of 400-470 nm and 480-650 nm, which are attributed to 5D37Fj (j=5, 4, 3) and 5D47Fj (j=6, 5, 4, 3) transitions of Tb3+, respectively. The green emission from 5D47F5 at 543 nm showed the highest intensity under the optimized concentration of 0.1 mol, after which the quenching concentration became relevant. The quenching behavior of the emission of Tb3+ was explained by the cross-relaxation of its excited state.  相似文献

Combustion method was used in this study to prepare BaAl2O4:Eu2+ phosphors co-doped with different trivalent rare-earths (Re3+=Dy3+, Nd3+, Gd3+, Sm3+, Ce3+, Er3+, Pr3+ and Tb3+) ions at an initiating temperature of 600 °C. The phosphors were annealed at 1000 °C for 3 h. As confirmed from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, both as prepared and post annealed samples crystallized in the well known hexagonal structure of BaAl2O4. All samples exhibited bluish-green emission associated with the 4f65d1→4f7 transitions of Eu2+ at ∼500 nm. Although the highest intensity was observed from Er3+ co-doping, the longest afterglow (due to trapping and detrapping of charge carriers) was observed from Nd3+ followed by Dy3+ co-doping. The traps responsible for the long afterglow were studied using thermoluminescence (TL) spectroscopy.  相似文献

Rietveld refinements of X-ray powder diffraction data have confirmed the crystal structure of BaCa2MgSi2O8 prepared by a standard solid-state method. The final reliable factors were Rwp=10.91%, Rp=8.10%, RI=2.71%, and RF=1.14%. BaCa2MgSi2O8 crystallizes in the trigonal space group P3¯m1 (no. 164) with a=5.430(3) Å and c=6.807(2) Å. The oxide has a layered structure constructed from the unit layers built up by corner-sharing MgO6 octahedra and SiO4 tetrahedra. Ba and Ca atoms occupy the distinct crystallographic sites; Ba atom is sited in the interlayer space and Ca atom is embedded in the layer framework. This structure was not disrupted by doping of Eu2+ ions. The Eu2+-doped BaCa2MgSi2O8 exhibited an intense blue emission based on 5d-4f electron transitions of Eu2+ ions under 254 nm excitation. This emission has a sufficient chromaticity as a blue phosphor. An additional analysis of the emission spectra using an empirical formula indicates that Eu2+ is distributed into both Ba and Ca sites.  相似文献

Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors were prepared by the (aminopropyl)-triethoxysilane (APTES) co-precipitation method. Effects of synthesis temperature on the crystal characteristics, luminescent properties and afterglow performance of Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors have been discussed in detail and compared with the corresponding commercial product. The experimental results indicated that the sample could be synthesized at a relatively lower temperature and had better performance on the above-mentioned properties using the co-precipitation method.  相似文献
