Quadratic residue codes have been one of the most important classes of algebraic codes. They have been generalized into duadic codes and quadratic double circulant codes. In this paper we introduce a new subclass of double circulant codes, called duadic double circulant codes, which is a generalization of quadratic double circulant codes for prime lengths. This class generates optimal self-dual codes, optimal linear codes, and linear codes with the best known parameters in a systematic way. We describe a method to construct duadic double circulant codes using 4-cyclotomic cosets and give certain duadic double circulant codes over $\mathbb{F}_{2}$ , $\mathbb{F}_{3}$ , $\mathbb{F}_{4}$ , $\mathbb{F}_{5}$ , and $\mathbb{F}_{7}$ . In particular, we find a new ternary self-dual [76,38,18] code and easily rediscover optimal binary self-dual codes with parameters [66,33,12], [68,34,12], [86,43,16], and [88,44,16] as well as a formally self-dual binary [82,41,14] code.  相似文献

Known upper bounds on the minimum distance of codes over rings are applied to the case of ${\mathbb Z_{2}\mathbb Z_{4}}$ -additive codes, that is subgroups of ${\mathbb Z_{2}^{\alpha}\mathbb Z_{4}^{\beta}}$ . Two kinds of maximum distance separable codes are studied. We determine all possible parameters of these codes and characterize the codes in certain cases. The main results are also valid when ?? = 0, namely for quaternary linear codes.  相似文献

We consider the spaces A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) of functions f on the m-dimensional torus $\mathbb{T}^m $ such that the sequence of Fourier coefficients $\hat f = \{ \hat f(k),k \in \mathbb{Z}^m \} $ belongs to l p (? m ), 1 ≤ p < 2. The norm on A p ( $\mathbb{T}^m $ ) is defined by $\left\| f \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} = \left\| {\hat f} \right\|_{l^p (\mathbb{Z}^m )} $ . We study the rate of growth of the norms $\left\| {e^{i\lambda \phi } } \right\|_{A_p (\mathbb{T}^m )} $ as |λ| → ∞, λ ∈ ?, for C 1-smooth real functions φ on $\mathbb{T}^m $ (the one-dimensional case was investigated by the author earlier). Let $\mathbb{K }$ be a field of characteristic zero. We describe an algorithm which requires a homogeneous polynomial $F$ of degree three in $\mathbb{K }[x_{0},x_1,x_{2},x_{3}]$ and a zero ${\mathbf{a }}$ of $F$ in $\mathbb{P }^{3}_{\mathbb{K }}$ and ensures a linear Pfaffian representation of $\text{ V}(F)$ with entries in $\mathbb{K }[x_{0},x_{1},x_{2},x_{3}]$ , under mild assumptions on $F$ and ${\mathbf{a }}$ . We use this result to give an explicit construction of (and to prove the existence of) a linear Pfaffian representation of $\text{ V}(F)$ , with entries in $\mathbb{K }^{\prime }[x_{0},x_{1},x_{2},x_{3}]$ , being $\mathbb{K }^{\prime }$ an algebraic extension of $\mathbb{K }$ of degree at most six. We prove that a planar $C^1$ -smooth map $f:D\longrightarrow \mathbb{R }^{2n}$ , where $D\subseteq \mathbb{R }^{2n}$ is a convex open set, is injective if $\mathbb{R }\cap \mathrm{Spec}(df)_z=\emptyset $ for all $z\in D$ . We continue by showing that the triangulability of the differentials $(df)_z$ , $z\in D$ , ensure the global injectivity as well.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda}$ be a generalized flag variety of a simple Lie group G embedded into the projectivization of an irreducible G-module V λ . We define a flat degeneration ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ , which is a ${\mathbb{G}^M_a}$ variety. Moreover, there exists a larger group G a acting on ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ , which is a degeneration of the group G. The group G a contains ${\mathbb{G}^M_a}$ as a normal subgroup. If G is of type A, then the degenerate flag varieties can be embedde‘d into the product of Grassmannians and thus to the product of projective spaces. The defining ideal of ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda}$ is generated by the set of degenerate Plücker relations. We prove that the coordinate ring of ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ is isomorphic to a direct sum of dual PBW-graded ${\mathfrak{g}}$ -modules. We also prove that there exists bases in multi-homogeneous components of the coordinate rings, parametrized by the semistandard PBW-tableux, which are analogs of semistandard tableaux.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that every lax generalized Veronesean embedding of the Hermitian unital ${\mathcal{U}}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(2,\mathbb{L}), \mathbb{L}}$ a quadratic extension of the field ${\mathbb{K}}$ and ${|\mathbb{K}| \geq 3}$ , in a ${\mathsf{PG}(d,\mathbb{F})}$ , with ${\mathbb{F}}$ any field and d ≥ 7, such that disjoint blocks span disjoint subspaces, is the standard Veronesean embedding in a subgeometry ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{F})}$ (and d = 7) or it consists of the projection from a point ${p \in \mathcal{U}}$ of ${\mathcal{U}{\setminus} \{p\}}$ from a subgeometry ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ of ${\mathsf{PG}(7,\mathbb{F})}$ into a hyperplane ${\mathsf{PG}(6,\mathbb{K}^{\prime})}$ . In order to do so, when ${|\mathbb{K}| >3 }$ we strongly use the linear representation of the affine part of ${\mathcal{U}}$ (the line at infinity being secant) as the affine part of the generalized quadrangle ${\mathsf{Q}(4,\mathbb{K})}$ (the solid at infinity being non-singular); when ${|\mathbb{K}| =3}$ , we use the connection of ${\mathcal{U}}$ with the generalized hexagon of order 2.  相似文献

In this article, we study the topology of real analytic germs ${F \colon (\mathbb{C}^3,0) \to (\mathbb{C},0)}$ given by ${F(x,y,z)=\overline{xy}(x^p+y^q)+z^r}$ with ${p,q,r \in \mathbb{N}, p,q,r \geq 2}$ and (p, q)?=?1. Such a germ gives rise to a Milnor fibration ${\frac{F}{\mid F \mid}\colon \mathbb{S}^5\setminus L_F \to \mathbb{S}^1}$ . We describe the link L F as a Seifert manifold and we show that in many cases the open-book decomposition of ${\mathbb{S}^5}$ given by the Milnor fibration of F cannot come from the Milnor fibration of a complex singularity in ${\mathbb{C}^3}$ .  相似文献

In this work, we investigate linear codes over the ring ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ . We first analyze the structure of the ring and then define linear codes over this ring which turns out to be a ring that is not finite chain or principal ideal contrary to the rings that have hitherto been studied in coding theory. Lee weights and Gray maps for these codes are defined by extending on those introduced in works such as Betsumiya et al. (Discret Math 275:43–65, 2004) and Dougherty et al. (IEEE Trans Inf 45:32–45, 1999). We then characterize the ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linearity of binary codes under the Gray map and give a main class of binary codes as an example of ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linear codes. The duals and the complete weight enumerators for ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linear codes are also defined after which MacWilliams-like identities for complete and Lee weight enumerators as well as for the ideal decompositions of linear codes over ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we combine separate works on (a) the transfer of infinitesimal rigidity results from an Euclidean space to the next higher dimension by coning (Whiteley in Topol. Struct. 8:53?C70, 1983), (b) the further transfer of these results to spherical space via associated rigidity matrices (Saliola and Whiteley in arXiv:0709.3354, 2007), and (c) the prediction of finite motions from symmetric infinitesimal motions at regular points of the symmetry-derived orbit rigidity matrix (Schulze and Whiteley in Discrete Comput. Geom. 46:561?C598, 2011). Each of these techniques is reworked and simplified to apply across several metrics, including the Minkowskian metric $\mathbb{M}^{d}$ and the hyperbolic metric ? d . This leads to a set of new results transferring infinitesimal and finite motions associated with corresponding symmetric frameworks among $\mathbb{E}^{d}$ , cones in $\mathbb{E}^{d+1}$ , $\mathbb{S}^{d}$ , $\mathbb{M}^{d}$ , and ? d . We also consider the further extensions associated with the other Cayley?CKlein geometries overlaid on the shared underlying projective geometry.  相似文献

We give formulas relating the Fourier transform of a radial function in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ and the Fourier transform of the same function in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ , completing the analysis of Grafakos and Teschl (J. We construct a simply connected complete bounded mean curvature one surface in the hyperbolic 3-space ${\mathcal {H}^3}$ . Such a surface in ${\mathcal {H}^3}$ can be lifted as a complete bounded null curve in ${\rm {SL}(2,\mathbb {C})}$ . Using a transformation between null curves in ${\mathbb {C}^3}$ and null curves in ${\rm {SL}(2,\mathbb {C})}$ , we are able to produce the first examples of complete bounded null curves in ${\mathbb {C}^3}$ . As an application, we can show the existence of a complete bounded minimal surface in ${\mathbb {R}^3}$ whose conjugate minimal surface is also bounded. Moreover, we can show the existence of a complete bounded immersed complex submanifold in ${\mathbb {C}^2}$ .  相似文献

Let $ \mathbb{F} $ be a finite field of characteristic different from 2. We study the cardinality of sets of matrices with a given determinant or a given permanent for the set of Hermitian matrices $ {{\mathcal{H}}_n}\left( \mathbb{F} \right) $ and for the whole matrix space M n ( $ \mathbb{F} $ ). It is known that for n = 2, there are bijective linear maps Φ on $ {{\mathcal{H}}_n}\left( \mathbb{F} \right) $ and M n ( $ \mathbb{F} $ ) satisfying the condition per A = det Φ(A). As an application of the obtained results, we show that if n ≥ 3, then the situation is completely different and already for n = 3, there is no pair of maps (Φ, ?), where Φ is an arbitrary bijective map on matrices and ? : $ \mathbb{F} $ $ \mathbb{F} $ is an arbitrary map such that per A = ?(det Φ(A)) for all matrices A from the spaces $ {{\mathcal{H}}_n}\left( \mathbb{F} \right) $ and M n ( $ \mathbb{F} $ ), respectively. Moreover, for the space M n ( $ \mathbb{F} $ ), we show that such a pair of transformations does not exist also for an arbitrary n > 3 if the field $ \mathbb{F} $ contains sufficiently many elements (depending on n). Let ${\vartheta}$ be a measure on the polydisc ${\mathbb{D}^n}$ which is the product of n regular Borel probability measures so that ${\vartheta([r,1)^n\times\mathbb{T}^n) >0 }$ for all 0 < r < 1. The Bergman space ${A^2_{\vartheta}}$ consists of all holomorphic functions that are square integrable with respect to ${\vartheta}$ . In one dimension, it is well known that if f is continuous on the closed disc ${\overline{\mathbb{D}}}$ , then the Hankel operator H f is compact on ${A^2_\vartheta}$ . In this paper we show that for n ≥ 2 and f a continuous function on ${{\overline{\mathbb{D}}}^n}$ , H f is compact on ${A^2_\vartheta}$ if and only if there is a decomposition f = h + g, where h belongs to ${A^2_\vartheta}$ and ${\lim_{z\to\partial\mathbb{D}^n}g(z)=0}$ .  相似文献

We classify hypersurfaces of rank two of Euclidean space ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ that admit genuine isometric deformations in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ . That an isometric immersion ${\hat{f}\colon M^n \to \mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ is a genuine isometric deformation of a hypersurface ${f\colon M^n\to\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ means that ${\hat f}$ is nowhere a composition ${\hat f=\hat F\circ f}$ , where ${\hat{F} \colon V\subset \mathbb{R}^{n+1} \to\mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ is an isometric immersion of an open subset V containing the hypersurface.  相似文献

Tensor data are becoming important recently in various application fields. In this paper, we consider the maximal rank problem of 3-tensors and extend Atkinson and Stephens’ and Atkinson and Lloyd’s results over the real number field. We also prove the assertion of Atkinson and Stephens: ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{R}}(m,n,p) \leq m+\lfloor p/2\rfloor n}$ , ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{R}}(n,n,p) \leq (p+1)n/2}$ if p is even, ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{F}}(n,n,3)\leq 2n-1}$ if ${\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{C}}$ or n is odd, and ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{F}}(m,n,3)\leq m+n-1}$ if m < n where ${\mathbb{F}}$ stands for ${\mathbb{R}}$ or ${\mathbb{C}}$ .  相似文献

In this paper we look at linear codes over the Galois ring $GR(p^{\ell}, m)$ with the homogeneous weight and we prove that the number of codewords with homogenous weights in a particular residue class modulo p e are divisible by high powers of p. We also state a result for a more generalized weight on linear codes over Galois rings. We obtain similar results for the Lee weights of linear codes over $\mathbb{F}_{2^m}+u\mathbb{F}_{2^m}$ and we prove that the results we obtain are best possible.
