A series of cyano-bridged heterotrimetallic complexes [CuL](2)Ln(H(2)O)(2)M(CN)(6).7H(2)O have been synthesized by the reactions of CuL (L(2)(-) = dianion of 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotradecane-2,3-dione), Ln(3+) (Ln = Gd or La), and [M(CN)(6)](3)(-) (M = Co, Fe, or Cr). X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that these complexes are isostructural and have a novel chain structure. The Ln(3+) ion is eight-coordinated by six oxygen atoms of two CuL and two water molecules and two nitrogen atoms of the bridging cyano ligands of two [M(CN)(6)](3)(-), while the [M(CN)(6)](3)(-) anion connects two Ln(3+) using two trans-CN(-) ligands giving rise to a chainlike structure. In the chain, every CuL group tilts toward the CN(-) ligand of adjacent [M(CN)(6)](3)(-) with the Cu-N(cyano) contacts ranging from 2.864(6) to 2.930(6) A. Magnetic studies on the CuGdCo complex (1) indicate the presence of ferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) and Gd(III). The CuLaCr (5) and CuLaFe (2) complexes exhibit ferromagnetic interaction between paramagnetic Cu(II) and Cr(III)/Fe(III) ions through the weak cyano bridges (Cu-N(cyano) = 2.930(6) A for 2). A global ferromagnetic interaction is operative in the CuGdFe complex (3) with the concurrence of dominant ferromagnetic Cu(II)-Gd(III) and minor antiferromagnetic Gd(III)-Fe(III) as well as the ferromagnetic Cu(II)-Fe(III) interaction. For the CuGdCr complex (4), an overall antiferromagnetic behavior was observed, which is attributed to the presence of dominant antiferromagnetic Cr(III)-Gd(III) coupling and the minor ferromagnetic Cu(II)-Gd(III) and Cu(II)-Cr(III) interaction. Moreover, a spin frustration phenomenon was found in complex 4, which results from the ferro-ferro-antiferromagnetic exchanges in the trigonal Cu-Gd-Cr units. The magnetic susceptibilities of these complexes were simulated using suitable models. The magneto-structural correlation was investigated. These complexes did not show a magnetic phase transition down to 1.8 K.  相似文献

A new series of oxovanadium(IV), chromium(III), manganese(II), iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes of the 3-hydrazino quinoxaline-2-one (HQO) were prepared and characterized. The ligand exhibits biambidenticity. It behaves as a bidentate ON donor in oxovanadium(IV), iron(III) and copper(II) complexes and as a bis bidentate ONNN donor in chromium(III), manganese(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes. The nature of bonding and the stereochemistry of the complexes have been deduced from elemental analyses, thermal, infrared, 1H NMR, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. An octahedral geometry was suggested for all the complexes. All the complexes show subnormal magnetic moments. The ligand, HQO, and its complexes were tested against one strain Gram +ve bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus), Gram −ve bacteria (Escherichia coli). The prepared metal complexes exhibited higher antimicrobial activities than the parent ligand.  相似文献

A series of cationic, trimetallic d/f/d complexes have been prepared which use a multidentate, macrocyclic amine phenol ligand to coordinate divalent first row d-block transition metal ions (TM) and lanthanides (Ln) ions in close proximity, desirable for magnetic studies. Isolable complexes of the d/f/d cluster compounds with the formula [Ln(TM)2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O, where H3bcn is tris-N, N', N'-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane, TM = Zn(II) and Ni(II) and Ln = La(III), Nd(III), Gd(III), Dy(III), and Yb(III), were synthesized by a one-pot sequential reaction of stoichiometric amounts of H 3bcn with the TM(II) and Ln(III) metal ions. The spontaneously formed cationic complexes were characterized by a variety of analytical techniques including IR, NMR, +ESI-MS, and EA. The [TM(Hbcn)].nH2O and [TM3(bcn)2].nH2O complexes were also synthesized to probe the building blocks of the d/f/d coaggregated species. The solid-state X-ray crystal structures of [GdNi2(bcn)2(CH3CN)2]ClO4.CH3CN and [GdZn2(bcn)2(CH3CN)2]ClO4.CH3CN were determined to be nearly identical with each TM(II) encapsulated in an octahedral geometry by the N3O3 binding pocket of the bcn (3-) ligand. The eight coordinate Gd(III) was bicapped by two [TM(bcn)](-) moieties and coordinated by two solvent molecules. Because of the isostructurality of the [LnZn2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O and [LnNi2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O complexes, an empirical approach using the LnZn2 magnetic data was utilized to remove first-order anisotropic contributions from the LnNi2 species. Ferromagnetic spin interactions were determined for the [LnNi2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O complexes, where Ln = Gd(III), Dy(III), and Yb(III), while an antiferromagnetic exchange was observed for Ln = Nd(III).  相似文献

Synthetic methods are described that have resulted in the formation of seven heterometallic complexes, all of which contain partially deprotonated forms of the ligand triethanolamine (teaH(3)). These compounds are [Mn(III)(4)Co(III)(2)Co(II)(2)O(2)(teaH(2))(2)(teaH)(0.82)(dea)(3.18)(O(2)CMe)(2)(OMe)(2)](BF(4))(2)(O(2)CMe)(2)·3.18MeOH·H(2)O (1), [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2)Co(III)(2)(teaH)(4)(OMe)(2)(acac)(4)](NO(3))(2)·2MeOH (2), [Mn(III)(2)Ni(II)(4)(teaH)(4)(O(2)CMe)(6)]·2MeCN (3), [Mn(III)(2)Co(II)(2)(teaH)(2)(sal)(2)(acac)(2)(MeOH)(2)]·2MeOH (4), [Mn(II)(2)Fe(III)(2)(teaH)(2)(paa)(4)](NO(3))(2)·2MeOH·CH(2)Cl(2) (5), [Mn(II)Mn(III)(2)Co(III)(2)O(teaH)(2)(dea)(Iso)(OMe)(F)(2)(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(NO(3))·3MeOH (6) and [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)Co(III)(2)(OH)(teaH)(3)(teaH(2))(acac)(3)](NO(3))(2)·3CH(2)Cl(2) (7). All of the compounds contain manganese, combined with 3d transition metal ions such as Fe, Co and Ni. The crystal structures are described and examples of 'rods', tetranuclear 'butterfly' and 'triangular' Mn(3) cluster motifs, flanked in some cases by diamagnetic cobalt(III) centres, are presented. Detailed DC and AC magnetic susceptibility and magnetization studies, combined with spin Hamiltonian analysis, have yielded J values and identified the spin ground states. In most cases, the energies of the low-lying excited states have also been obtained. The features of note include the 'inverse butterfly' spin arrangement in 2, 4 and 5. A S = 5/2 ground state occurs, for the first time, in the Mn(III)(2)Mn(II) triangular moiety within 6, the many other reported [Mn(3)O](6+) examples having S = ? or 3/2 ground states. Compound 7 provides the first example of a Mn(II)(2)Mn(III) triangle, here within a pentanuclear Mn(3)Co(2) cluster.  相似文献

Five new trinuclear Cu-Ln-Cu cluster complexes have been prepared by a one-pot reaction using H3bcn (tris- N,N',N'-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) and Ln = La(III), Nd(III), Gd(III), Dy(III), and Yb(III) where the d- and f-block metal ions are in close proximity desirable for magnetic studies. The [LnCu2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O complexes possess the same stoichiometry as the previously reported [LnNi2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O and [LnZn2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O systems. Additionally, the solid state structures of the LnCu2 complexes appear to be isostructural to the LnNi2 and LnZn2 species as determined by their nearly superimposable IR spectra. The similarities in the structures of the [LnTM2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O series, where TM = Zn(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II), allow for direct comparison of their magnetic exchange. An empirical approach, removing first-order anisotropic contributions determined from the analogous [LnZn2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O was used to study the d/f/d spin interactions in the [LnCu2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O complexes. A ferromagnetic exchange was determined where Ln = Gd(III), Dy(III), or Yb(III) and an antiferromagnetic exchange for Ln = Nd(III), identical to the magnetic exchange observed for the [LnNi2(bcn)2]ClO4.nH2O complexes. An exchange integral of 3.67 cm(-1) for the trimetallic [GdCu2(bcn)2]ClO4.3H2O species was determined using a modified spin Hamiltonian. The [Cu(Hbcn)] and the [Cu3(Hbcn)2](ClO4)2 building blocks of the larger coaggregated d/f/d species were also synthesized, and their structures are reported.  相似文献

A variety of catalyst systems based on 3d transition metals, i.e., V(III), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and various stabilizing ligands, i.e., propadiene, methylacetylene, phenylacetylene, and 1,4-butadiene, were prepared. The activity of these catalytic systems towards the polymerization of a series of monomers (propadiene, methylacetylene, phenylacetylene, 1,4-butadiene, ethene, and propene) is investigated. Optimum conditions for the preparation of 1,2-polyallene, polymethylacetylene and polyphenylacetylene are given.  相似文献

A method is presented for the quantitative separation of the trivalent rare earths plus Sc(III) as a group from Al(III), Ga(III), In(III), Tl(III), Fc(III). Ti(IV), U(VI), Be(II). Mn(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II). Zn(II). and Cd(II). These elements can be eluted from a cation-exchange column with 1.75 N HCl, while the rare earth group elements are retained. Numerous other elements not investigated have low distribution coefficients in 1.75 N HCl and therefore should be separated by the same procedure; Th(IV) is retained by the column when the rare earths are elutcd with 3.0 N HCl. The only elements which partially accompany the rare earths plus Sc(III) are Zr(IV), Hf(IV), Sr(II), and Ba(II) ; these have to be separated by special procedures. The method is suitable for accurate reference analysis over a wide range of concentrations.  相似文献

The thin layer chromatographic behavior of U(VI), Th(IV), lanthanides(III), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) on silica gel H with di(n-butyl) and di(iso-butyl)dithiophosphoric acids as complexing agents in the organic mobile phase has been investigated. The results obtained show that the dithiophosphate anion has a substantial effect on the migration of these metal ions. The presence of electron-donor solvents in the mobile phase increases retention, especially for U(VI), Th(IV), and lanthanides(III). The effect is explained on the basis of greater solubility of the metal chelates of the dithiophosphoric anions in the organic mobile phase, because of a solvation process. Separation was investigated for three groups of metal ions — actinides, lanthanides, and d transition metals. By choice of an appropriate organic mobile phase, separation of the pairs Th(IV)-U(VI), Pr(III)-Sm(III), Sm(III)-Gd(III), and Gd(III)-Er(III) was achieved, as was separation of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) from each other. A complex separation mechanism based on adsorption-desorption, cation exchange, and extraction is suggested.

Abstract

Dark colored chelates of p-dimethylaminoanil of 3-benzoyl-methylglyoxal bidentate ligand with Sb(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), ZrO(II), Y(III), La(III), Pr(III), Nd(III) Sm(III), Gd(III) and Dy(III) have been chromatographed on starch bound silica gel thin layers. New correlations of I.R. with Rf (resolving solvent) have been used to ascertain the colored spots.

Among various mixtures resolved qualitatively a few typical ones have been alanysed quantitatively. Errors in determinations and maximum separation limits have also been deduced.  相似文献

Vanadium(III) solutions can be used in direct titrations of iron(III), copper(II), thallium(III), molybdenum(VI), uranium(VI), vanadium(V), chromium(VI) and manganese(VII) in milligram amounts. The titrations are done at 70-80 degrees for iron(III), copper(II), thallium(III), molybdenum(VI) and at room temperature for vanadium(V), chromium(VI) and manganese(VII). Uranium(VI) is titrated at 70-80 degrees in presence of iron(II). The vanadium(III) solution is prepared by reduction of vanadium(V) to vanadium(IV) with sulphur dioxide, followed by addition of phosphoric acid and reduction with iodide, and is reasonably stable.  相似文献

Chrome Azurol S (CS) was mobilized on an strongly basic anion-exchange resin (Dowex 2 x 4, in Cl(-) form) by batch equilibration. The modified resin was stable in acetate buffer solution and in 0.1 M HCl and H(2)SO(4), but it was readily degraded with 2-6 M HCl and HNO(3). Retention of Ba(II), Sr(II), Ca(II), Mg(II), Al(III), Cr(III), Zn(II), Fe(III), Ti(IV), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) was studied using the batch equilibration method. The uptake and recovery yields were determined by using inductively-coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (for Mg, Al, Cr, Ti, Fe, Mn, Ni, Zn, Cu, Cd and Pb) and atomic absorption spectrophotometry (for Ba, Sr, Ca and Co). The optimum pH value was established for performing a selective separation of Al(III) from the other metal ions. The sorption capacities of the CS-loaded resing for Al(III), Cr(III), Mg(II) (at pH 6), Fe(III) (at pH 5) and Ti(IV) (at pH 4) were 14, 2.9, 0.3, 3 and 3.9 mumoles g(-1) respectively. On this basis a method for separating Al(III) from other cations was established.  相似文献

The properties of zinc, cadmium, and mercury complexes of 3-methyl-1,2-cyclopentanodione dithiosemicarbazone and the optimal conditions for their formation are described. The complexes were used with success in the photometric determination of traces of zinc, cadmium, and mercury. Seven procedures are proposed for the accurate analysis of Zn(II)-Cd(II), Zn(II)-Hg(II), Zn(II)-Bi(III), Cd(II)-Hg(II), Cd(II)-Bi(III), Hg(II)-Bi(III), and Zn(II)-Cd(II)-Hg(II) mixtures. Satisfactory results were obtained.  相似文献

A highly selective thiol-functionalized ionic liquid (thiol-FIL) was synthesized and characterized by FT-IR and ESI mass spectroscopy. The capability of thiol-FIL to extract Cd(II), Ni(II), Cr(III) and Pb(II) was evaluated. It is found that thiol-FIL possesses high selectivity for Cd(II), and this has led to a method for determination of Cd(II) by flame atomic absorption spectrometry that is free of interferences by up to a 1,000-fold excess of Na(I), Mg(II), Ca(II), Mn(II), Fe(III), Al(III), Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cr(III), Co(II), As(III), Pb(II), and Hg(II). With extraction equilibrium time of 1 min, a good linearity (r = 0.9998) and a detection limit of 0.39 μg?L?1 were obtained. The precision (RSD) for 11 replicate measurements of 10 μg?L?1 Cd was 1.6%. The method was validated using certified reference materials. The recoveries of cadmium in spiked real samples ranged from 97% to 102%.  相似文献

As part of an ongoing effort to deliberate synthesis of polynuclear heterometal complexes, we are exploring synthetic routes to high-nuclearity complexes using "metal oximates" as building blocks. Series of tetranuclear linear complex ions of the general types M(A)M(B)M(B)M(A), where M(A) is a trivalent or tetravalent metal ion and M(B) is a divalent metal ion, e.g., Mn(II), have been synthesized by using the dimetal(II) anionic cores, [(M(II)(B))(2)(dfmp)(3)](5)(-) as a bridging ligand for the terminal LM(A) fragments where H(3)dfmp is a dinucleating phenol-oxime ligand, 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol oxime, and L denotes a facially coordinating cyclic tridentate amine, 1,4,7-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane. The following combinations are reported here, B(III)Mn(II)Mn(II)B(III) (1), Mn(III)Mn(II)Mn(II)Mn(III) (2), Mn(IV)Mn(II)Mn(II)Mn(IV) (3), Fe(III)Mn(II)Mn(II)Fe(III) (4), and Cr(III)Mn(II)Mn(II)Cr(III) (5). The compounds have been characterized spectroscopically and by magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range 2.0-290 K at different field strengths. Complexes 1-4 have also been structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques at 100 K. The magnetic behaviors of the compounds indicate weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the manganese(II) centers in the central trisphenoxo-bridged dimanganese(II) core, whereas the coupling between the terminal M(A) and its neighboring Mn(II) center varies and is weak ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic. The relative interaction intensity in such a series of complexes is discussed. Finally, a profound influence of the charge on the terminal metal ions on the strength of the exchange coupling in the central dimanganese(II) core has been observed and discussed in relation to the covalency of the metal-ligand bonding.  相似文献

Indium can be separated from Zn, Pb(II), Ga, Ca, Be, Mg, Ti(IV), Mn(II), Fe(III), Al, U(VI), Na, Ni(II) and Co(II) by selective elution with 0.50M hydrochloric acid in 30% aqueous acetone from a column of AG50W-X8 cation-exchange resin, all the other elements being retained by the column. Lithium is included in the elements retained by the column when 0.35M hydrochloric acid in 45% aqueous acetone is used for eluting indium, but the elution of indium is slightly retarded. Ba, Sr, Zr, Hf, Th, Sc, Y, La and the lanthanides, Rb and Cs should also be retained according to their distribution coefficients. Cd, Bi(III), Au(III), Pt(IV), Pd(II), Rh(III), Mo(VI) and W(VI) can be eluted with 0.20M hydrobromic acid in 50% aqueous acetone before the elution of indium, and Ir(III), Ir(IV), As(III), As(V), Se(IV), Tl(III), Hg(II), Ge(IV), Sb(III) and Sb(V), though not investigated in detail, should accompany these elements. Relevant distribution coefficients and elution curves and results for analyses of synthetic mixtures of indium with other elements are presented.  相似文献

A method is developed for extraction of gold(III) (75–300 g) from hydrochloric acid solution with triphenylarsine oxide dissolved in toluene as extradant. Gold(III) is determined spectrophotometrically with stannous chloride. The extraction is quantitative from 1.5–1.9M hydrochloric acid with 0.25% triphenylarsine oxide and an equilibration period of 30s. The method permits separation of gold(III) from Cu(II), Pt(IV), Pd(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) and its spectrophotometric determination in ayurvedic medicines. The recovery and relative standard deviation obtained are >99.0% and <1.0%.  相似文献

Summary Anion-exchange behaviour of chromium (III) and molybdenum (VI) was studied in malonate media. They form anionic complexes with malonic acid at pH 5.6. Various eluants, such as mineral acids and their salts were tested and a selectivity scale evolved. Cr and Mo were separated from Tl(I), alkali and alkaline earth elements by selective sorption and from Co(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) by selective washing with water. They were separated from many other elements by selective elution. The sequential separation of Fe(III) V(IV), Cr(III), Mo(VI) and U(VI) was significant.  相似文献
