Weak and strong convergence theorems are proved in real Hilbert spaces for a new class of nonspreading-type mappings more general than the class studied recently in Kurokawa and Takahashi [Y. Kurokawa, W. Takahashi, Weak and strong convergence theorems for nonspreading mappings in Hilbert spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 73 (2010) 1562-1568]. We explored an auxiliary mapping in our theorems and proofs and this also yielded a strong convergence theorem of Halpern’s type for our class of mappings and hence resolved in the affirmative an open problem posed by Kurokawa and Takahashi in their final remark for the case where the mapping T is averaged.  相似文献

The work of Hundal [H. Hundal, An alternating projection that does not converge in norm, Nonlinear Anal. 57 (1) (2004) 35-61] has revealed that the sequence generated by the method of alternating projections converges weakly, but not strongly in general. In this paper, we present several algorithms based on alternating resolvents of two maximal monotone operators, A and B, that can be used to approximate common zeros of A and B. In particular, we prove that the sequences generated by our algorithms converge strongly. A particular case of such algorithms enables one to approximate minimum values of certain convex functionals.  相似文献

In the present paper, we propose two kinds of new algorithms for a family of quasi-asymptotic pseudo-contractions in real Hilbert spaces. By using the proposed algorithms, we prove several strong convergence theorems for a family of quasi-asymptotic pseudo-contractions. The results of this paper are interesting extensions of those known results.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce some implicit iterative algorithms for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping in the intermediate sense and the set of solutions of the variational inequality problem for a monotone, Lipschitz-continuous mapping. These implicit iterative algorithms are based on two well-known methods: extragradient and approximate proximal methods. We obtain some weak convergence theorems for these implicit iterative algorithms. Based on these theorems, we also construct some implicit iterative processes for finding a common fixed point of two mappings, such that one of these two mappings is taken from the more general class of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings and the other mapping is asymptotically nonexpansive.  相似文献

Several strong convergence results involving two distinct four parameter proximal point algorithms are proved under different sets of assumptions on these parameters and the general condition that the error sequence converges to zero in norm. Thus our results address the two important problems related to the proximal point algorithm — one being that of strong convergence (instead of weak convergence) and the other one being that of acceptable errors. One of the algorithms discussed was introduced by Yao and Noor (2008) [7] while the other one is new and it is a generalization of the regularization method initiated by Lehdili and Moudafi (1996) [9] and later developed by Xu (2006) [8]. The new algorithm is also ideal for estimating the convergence rate of a sequence that approximates minimum values of certain functionals. Although these algorithms are distinct, it turns out that for a particular case, they are equivalent. The results of this paper extend and generalize several existing ones in the literature.  相似文献

We study the convergence of two iterative algorithms for finding common fixed points of finitely many Bregman strongly nonexpansive operators in reflexive Banach spaces. Both algorithms take into account possible computational errors. We establish two strong convergence theorems and then apply them to the solution of convex feasibility, variational inequality and equilibrium problems.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55] and Xu [Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004) 279–291] to the case of finite mappings. Our results also improve and unify the corresponding results of Bauschke [The approximation of fixed points of compositions of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. A new iterative method for approximating fixed points of bounded and continuous pseudocontractive mapping is proposed and a strong convergence theorem is obtained. As an application, we prove that a slight modification of our new scheme could be employed for approximating zeros of bounded and continuous accretive operators. Our theorems extend and unify most of the results that have been proved for this class of mappings.  相似文献

Towards Lim
The paper contains an elegant extension of the Nadler fixed point theorem for multivalued contractions (see Theorem 21). It is based on a new idea of the α-step mappings (see Definition 17) being more efficient than α-contractions. In the present paper this theorem is a tool in proving some fixed point theorems for “nonexpansive” mappings in the bead spaces (metric spaces that, roughly speaking, are modelled after convex sets in uniformly convex spaces). More precisely the mappings are nonexpansive on a set with respect to only one point - the centre of this set (see condition (4)). The results are pretty general. At first we assume that the value of the mapping under consideration at this central point looks “sharp” (see Definition 6). This idea leads to a group of theorems (based on Theorem 7). Their proofs are compact and the theorems, in particular, are natural extensions of the classical results for (usual) nonexpansive mappings. In the second part we apply the idea of Lim to investigate the regular sequences and here the proofs are based on our extension of Nadler's Theorem. In consequence we obtain some fixed point theorems that generalise the classical Lim Theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings (see e.g. Theorem 26).  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We also establish a new control condition for the sequence of mappings {Tn} which is weaker than the control condition in Lemma 3.1 of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi and M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360]. Moreover, we apply our results for finding a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and an element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space, respectively. Our results are applicable to a wide class of mappings.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems to a zero of monotone mapping and a fixed point of relatively weak nonexpansive mapping. Moreover, strong convergence theorems to a point which is a fixed point of relatively weak nonexpansive mapping and a solution of a certain variational problem are proved under appropriate conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems by the hybrid method for a family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results given by Qin et al. [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Haiyun Zhou, Convergence of a modified Halpern-type iteration algorithm for quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 1051-1055], and at the same time, our iteration algorithm is different from the Kimura and Takahashi algorithm, which is a modified Mann-type iteration algorithm [Yasunori Kimura, Wataru Takahashi, On a hybrid method for a family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357 (2009) 356-363]. In addition, we succeed in applying our algorithm to systems of equilibrium problems which contain a family of equilibrium problems.  相似文献

Let X be a non-empty set and F:X×XX be a given mapping. An element (x,y)∈X×X is said to be a coupled fixed point of the mapping F if F(x,y)=x and F(y,x)=y. In this paper, we consider the case when X is a complete metric space endowed with a partial order. We define generalized Meir-Keeler type functions and we prove some coupled fixed point theorems under a generalized Meir-Keeler contractive condition. Some applications of our obtained results are given. The presented theorems extend and complement the recent fixed point theorems due to Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham [T. Gnana Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (2006) 1379-1393].  相似文献

The purpose in this paper is to prove a theorem of strong convergence to a common solution for a finite family of accretive operators in a strictly convex Banach space by means of a new iterative algorithm, which is a generalization and extension of the results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51–60], and Zegeye and Shahzad [H. Zegeye, N. Shahzad, Strong convergence theorems for a common zero of a finite family of m-accretive mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 66 (2007) 1161–1169]. Further using the result, the theorem of strong convergence to a common fixed point is discussed for a finite family of pseudocontractive mappings under certain conditions.  相似文献

In the paper “Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces” by Sedghi et al. [S. Sedghi, I. Altun, N. Shobec, Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces, Nonlinear Analysis 72 (2010) 1298-1304], a coupled common fixed point result was presented. However, our purpose is to show that this result and its proof are false. We give a counterexample and also explain how to correct this result. As a modification, we state and prove a coupled fixed point theorem under some hypotheses of fuzzy metric and t-norm.  相似文献

It is a known fact that the method of alternating projections introduced long ago by von Neumann fails to converge strongly for two arbitrary nonempty, closed and convex subsets of a real Hilbert space. In this paper, a new iterative process for finding common zeros of two maximal monotone operators is introduced and strong convergence results associated with it are proved. If the two operators are subdifferentials of indicator functions, this new algorithm coincides with the old method of alternating projections. Several other important algorithms, such as the contraction proximal point algorithm, occur as special cases of our algorithm. Hence our main results generalize and unify many results that occur in the literature.  相似文献

Let E=Lp or lp space, 1<p<. Let K be a closed, convex and nonempty subset of E. Let be a family of nonexpansive self-mappings of K. For arbitrary fixed δ∈(0,1), define a family of nonexpansive maps by Si?(1−δ)I+δTi where I is the identity map of K. Let . It is proved that the iterative sequence {xn} defined by: x0K,xn+1=αnu+∑i≥1σi,tnSixn,n≥0 converges strongly to a common fixed point of the family where {αn} and {σi,tn} are sequences in (0,1) satisfying appropriate conditions, in each of the following cases: (a) E=lp,1<p<, and (b) E=Lp,1<p< and at least one of the maps Ti’s is demicompact. Our theorems extend the results of [P. Maingé, Approximation methods for common fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 325 (2007) 469-479] from Hilbert spaces to lp spaces, 1<p<.  相似文献
