A new dioxime ligand, (2E,3E)-3-[(6-{[(1E,2E)-2-(hydroxyimino)-1-methylpropylidene]amino}-pyridin-2-yl)imino]butan-2-one oxime, (H2Pymdo) (3) has been synthesized in H2O by reacting 2,3-butenedione monoxime (2) with 2,6-diaminopyridine. Mono-, di- and tri-nuclear copper(II) complexes of the dioxime ligand (H2Pymdo) and/or 1,10-phenanthroline have been prepared. The dioxime ligand (H2Pymdo) and its copper(II) complexes were characterized by 1H-n.m.r., 13C-n.m.r. and elemental analyses, magnetic moments, i.r. and mass spectral studies. The mononuclear copper(II) complex of H2Pymdo was found to have a 1:1 metal:ligand ratio. Elemental analyses, stoichiometric and spectroscopic data of the metal complexes indicated that the metal ions are coordinated to the oxime and imine nitrogen atoms (C=N). In the dinuclear complexes, in which the first Cu(II) ion was complexed with nitrogen atoms of the oxime and imine groups, the second Cu(II) ion is ligated with dianionic oxygen atoms of the oxime groups and are linked to the 1,10-phenanthroline nitrogen atoms. The trinuclear copper(II) complex (6) was formed by coordination of the third Cu(II) ion with dianionic oxygen atoms of each of two molecules of the mononuclear copper(II) complexes. The data support the proposed structure of H2Pymdo and its Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

A new ligand incorporating a dioxime moiety, (2E,3E)-3-[(2-{[(1E,2E)-2-(hydroxyimino)-1-methylpropylidene]amino}phenyl)imino]butan-2-one oxime, (H2Phmdo) (3) has been prepared by reacting 2,3-butanedionemono-{O-[4-(1-methyl-2-oxo-propylideneaminooxy)-2,3-bis-(1-methyl-2-oxo-propylideneaminooxy-methyl)-but-2-enyl]-oxime} (2) with 1,2-phenylenediamine. Mono-, di- and trinuclear copper(II) and/or nickel(II) complexes of H2Phmdo were characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic moments, 1H-n.m.r. and 13C-n.m.r., i.r. and mass spectral studies. The mononuclear copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes of H2Phmdo were found to have a 1:1 metal:ligand ratio. Elemental analyses, stoichiometric and spectroscopic data of the metal complexes indicated that the metal ions are coordinated to the oxime and imine nitrogen atoms (C=N). In the dinuclear complexes, in which the first Cu(II) or Ni(II) ion was complexed with nitrogen atoms of the oxime and imine groups, the second Cu(II) ion is ligated with dianionic oxygen atoms of the oxime groups and are linked to the 1,10-phenanthroline nitrogen atoms. The data support the proposed structure of H2Phmdo and its complexes.  相似文献

A new binucleating ligand incorporating four oxime groups, butane-2,3-dione O-[4-aminooxy-2,3-bis-(2-hydroxyimino-1-methyl-propylideneaminooxymethyl)-but-2-enyl]-dioxime, (H4mto), has been synthesized and its dinuclear cobalt(III), copper(II), and homo- and hetero-tetranuclear copper(II)–manganese(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized by 1H- and 13C-n.m.r., i.r., magnetic moments and mass spectral studies. Elemental analyses, stoichiometric and spectroscopic data indicate that the metal ions in the complexes are coordinated to the oxime nitrogen atoms (C=N) and the data support the proposed structure for H4mto and its complexes. Moreover, dinuclear cobalt(III) and copper(II) complexes of H4mto have a 2:1 metal:ligand ratio.  相似文献

This article describes the synthesis of a new (2E,3E,6R,9E,11E)-6-isopropenyl-3,6,10-trimethyl-5,8-dioxa-4,9-diazadodeca-3,9-diene-2,11-dione dioxime (H2hmdm), and its mono-, homo, and heterodinuclear copper(II)/nickel(II) complexes. Elemental analyses, stoichiometric and spectroscopic data of the metal complexes indicated that the metal ions are coordinated to the oxime and imine nitrogen atoms (C=N). The Cu(H2hmdm), molecule coordinates to the second copper(II) ion through the oximate oxygens to afford a binuclear structure doubly bridged by the oximate groups in the cis arrangement. In the dinuclear complexes, in which the first CuII ion was complexed with nitrogen atoms of the oxime and imine groups, the second CuII ion is ligated with the 1,10-phenanthroline nitrogen atoms. Ligand and its mononuclear copper(II), homo and heterodinuclear copper(II)–nickel(II) complexes of (H2hmdm) were characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic moments, 1H-n.m.r. and 13C-n.m.r., i.r., and mass spectral studies. The data support the proposed structure of H2hmdm and its complexes.  相似文献

Vicinal carbonyl oxime (HL1) and oxime-imine (H2L2) ligands and their mononuclear Ru(III) and Cu(II), heterodinuclear Ru(III)-Mn(II), Ru(III)-Ni(II), Ru(III)-Cu(II), and heterotrinuclear Ru(III)-Cu(II)-Ru(III) chelates were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, IR, ESR, ICP-OES, magnetic moment measurements, and thermal analyses studies. The free ligands were also characterized by 1H NMR spectra. The carbonyl-oxime ligand coordinates through the oxygen of =N-OH to form a six-membered chelate ring. The quadridentate tetraaza ligand (H2L2) obtained by condensing of the bidentate ligand 1-p-diphenylmethane-2-hydroxyimino-2-(1-naphthylamino)-1-ethanone (HL1) with 1,2-phenylenediamine coordinates with Ru(III) through its nitrogen donors in the equatorial position with the loss of one of the oxime protons and concomitant formation of an intramolecular hydrogen bond. Stoichiometric and spectral results of the metal complexes indicated that the metal: ligand ratios in the mononuclear complexes of the ligand (HL1) were found to be 1: 2, while these ratios were 1: 1 in the mononuclear complexes of the ligand (H2L2). The metal: ligand ratios of the dinuclear complexes were found to be 2: 1, and this ratio was 3: 2 in the trinuclear complex. The article is published in the original.  相似文献

Abstract

New metal complexes of Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Mn(II), Fe(III), Ru(III), UO2(II), and VO(II) with the Schiff base, 2-(5-((2-chlorophenyl)diazenyl)-2-hydroxy- benzylidene) hydrazine-carbothioamide (H2L) have been prepared and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, FT-IR, UV–Vis, mass spectra, 1H-NMR, and ESR as well as conductivity and magnetic moments measurements. The IR spectra showed that the ligand acts as neutral tridentate, neutral bidentate or monobasic tridentate ligand. The geometries of metal complexes were either octahedral or square pyramidal. The ESR spectra of the solid copper(II) complexes indicated an axial symmetry type of a d(x2-y2) ground state with considerably ionic or covalent environment. The effect of the presence of an azo group on the biological activity of the ligand was investigated. The ligand and its complexes are biologically inactive due to the presence of azo group.

A new series of hexacoordinate cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes of 5-(2-carboxyphenylazo)-2-thiohydantoin HL having formulae [LM(OAc)(H2O)2] · nH2O (M = CoII, CuII and NiII), [LMCl(H2O)2] · nH2O (M = CoII and NiII), [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O, [LCu(H2O)3](ClO4) and [LCu(HSO4)(H2O)2] were isolated and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivities and magnetic susceptibilities, and by i.r., electronic and e.s.r. spectral measurements, as well as by thermal (t.g. and d.t.g.) analyses. The i.r. spectra indicate that the ligand HL behaves as a monobasic tridentate towards the three divalent metal ions via an azo-N, carboxylate-O and thiohydantoin-O atom. The magnetic moments and electronic spectral data suggest an octahedral geometry for CoII complexes, distorted octahedral geometry for both NiII and CuII complexes with a dimeric structure for [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O through bridged chloro ligands. The X-band e.s.r. spectra reveal an axial symmetry for the copper(II) complexes with unsymmetrical Ms = ± 1 signal and G-parameter less than four for the dimeric [LCuCl(H2O)]2 · 2H2O. The thermogravimetry (t.g. and d.t.g.) of some complexes were studied; the order and kinetic parameters of their thermal degradation were determined by applying Coats–Redfern method and discussed.  相似文献

A new potentially octadentate N2O6 Schiff base ligand, H2L derived from the condensation of 2,2′-(1,1′-binaphthyl-2,2′-diylbis(oxy))dianiline and o-vanillin, along with its copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes, is synthesized and has been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–vis, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, as well as conductivity measurements. H2L forms mononuclear complexes of 1:1 (metal:ligand) stoichiometry with Cu(II) and Zn(II), and conductivity data confirm the non-electrolyte nature of these complexes. The [ZnL] and [CuL] complexes display very different solid-state structures, as determined by X-ray crystallography. While the [ZnL] complex has a distorted octahedral geometry about the metal, the [CuL] complex displays a distorted square planar geometry about the copper, with long Cu–O(ether) distances of 2.667 Å.  相似文献

A new Schiff base, H2L, was prepared by condensation of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol with o-phenylenediamine in molar ratio 1?:?1. The ligand reacted with copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), iron(III), zinc(II), oxovanadium(IV), and dioxouranium(VI) ions in the absence and presence of LiOH to yield mononuclear and homobinuclear complexes. The mononuclear dioxouranium(VI) complex [(HL)-(UO2)(OAc)(H2O)]·5H2O was used to synthesize heterobinuclear complexes. The ligand and its metal complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H-, and 13C-NMR, electronic, ESR and mass spectra, conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility measurements as well as thermal analysis. In the absence of LiOH, mononuclear complexes (1, 4, and 9) were obtained; in the presence of LiOH, binuclear complexes (3, 5, 7, and 10) as well as mononuclear complexes (2, 6, and 8) were obtained. In the mononuclear complexes, the coordinating sites are the phenolic oxygen, azomethine nitrogen, and amino nitrogen. In addition to these coordinating sites, the free carbonyl and phenolic OH are involved in coordination in binuclear complexes. The metal complexes exhibited octahedral, tetrahedral, and square planar geometries while the uranium is seven-coordinate. The antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of the ligand and its complexes were investigated. The ligand and the metal complexes showed antitumor activity against Ehrlich Acites Carcinoma.  相似文献

The new 2-{2-[3-(triethoxysilyl)propylthio]ethylamino}ethylamino SNN ligand, has been synthesized and fully characterized. Its donor properties towards zinc(II) and cadmium(II) have been investigated in order to simulate the metal uptake behavior in environmental applications. It reacts with ZnX2 (X = Cl, Br and I) and CdCl2 to form monomeric molecular complexes, MX2(SNN)2. Mass, i.r., 1H- and 13C{1H}-n.m.r. spectroscopies and elemental analyses reveal that, in these complexes, the metal attains its highest coordination number by linking to two nitrogen atoms of the ethylenediamine portion, and to two halogen atoms. The SNN ligand thus behaves as a bidentate four electrons donor, the thioether sulfur atom still remaining available for further coordination.  相似文献

Two new N2O2 unsymmetrical Schiff bases, H2L1 = 3-[({o-[(E)-(o-hydroxyphenyl)methylideneamino]phenyl}methyl)imino]-1-phenyl-1-buten-1-ol and H2L2 = 3-[({o-[(E)-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)methylideneamino]phenyl}methyl)imino]-1-phenyl-1-buten-1-ol, and their copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes, [CuL1] (1), [CuL2] (2), [NiL1] (3), and [NiL2] (4), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic methods. The crystal structures of these complexes have been determined by X-ray diffraction. The coordination geometry around Cu(II) and Ni(II) centers is described as distorted square planar in all complexes with the CuN2O2 coordination more distorted than the Ni ones. The electrochemical studies of these complexes indicate a good correlation between the structural distortion and the redox potentials of the metal centers. The ligand and metal complexes were also screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity.  相似文献

Anodic oxidation of cobalt and copper metals in an anhydrous acetone solution of pyridine-2-(1H)-thione-3-cyano-4-(2-bromophenyl)-5,6-ring fused cycloheptane (HL1) and its derivatives, (HL2), (HL3), (HL4), (HL5), (HL6), (HL7), (HL8), and (HL9) yields complexes of composition [M(L)2·(H2O)2]·n H2O and [M(L)2·(acetone)2], where M = Co(II) or Cu(II) and L is the ligand. Also, reaction of an aqueous ethanolic solution of Co(Ac)2·2H2O with the previous ligands was prepared. Elemental analysis, and infrared and electronic spectral data are presented to confirm the formulation of the amorphous complexes. The spectral data indicate that the ligands are coordinated to the metal via the thioenol sulfur atom and the nitrogen atom of cyano groups. The ligands reacts in the enol form through the anodic dissolution of the ligands or during the reaction with metal salts. The ligand field parameters and crystal field splitting energies, Δo, for different cobalt metal complexes were calculated.  相似文献

Six Cu(II) complexes of 2-(2-(ethylcarbamothioyl)hydrazinyl)-2-oxo-N-phenylacetamide (H3APET) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV–vis, 1H NMR and ESR) as well as magnetic and thermal measurements. The data revealed that the ligand acts as ON bidentate, ONS tridentate or ONNS tetradentate forming structure in which each copper atom is a tetrahedral or tetragonal environment. The bond length, bond angle, HOMO, LUMO, dipole moment and charges on the atoms have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and the investigated complexes. Kinetic parameters were determined for each thermal degradation stage of the Cu(II) complexes using Coats–Redfern and Horowitz–Metzger methods. Moreover, the ligand and its complexes were screened against bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Candida and fungi, Albicans and Aspergillus flavus using the inhibitory zone diameter.  相似文献

N′-(4′-Benzo[15-crown-5]naphthylaminoglyoxime (H2L) and its sodium chloride complex (H2L·NaCl) have been prepared from 2-naphthylchloroglyoxime, 4′-aminobenzo[15-crown-5] and sodium bicarbonate or sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride. Nickel(II), cobalt(II) and copper(II) complexes of H2L and H2L·NaCl have a metal–ligand ratio of 1:2 and the ligand coordinates through the two N atoms, as do most of the vic-dioximes. The BF 2 + -capped Ni(II), Co(III) and mononuclear complexes of thevic-dioxime were prepared. The macrocyclic ligands and their transition metal complexes have been characterized on the basis of IR, 1H NMR spectroscopy and elemental analyses data.  相似文献

Tridentate chelate complexes M[LX?·?2H2O], where M?=?Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) have been synthesized from the Schiff base L?=?N-[1-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole]salicylaldimine and X?=?Cl. Microanalytical data, UV-Vis, magnetic susceptibility, IR, 1H-NMR, mass, and EPR techniques were used to confirm the structures. Electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements suggest square-planar geometry for copper complex and octahedral for other metal complexes. EPR spectra of copper(II) complex recorded at 300?K confirm the distorted square-planar geometry of the copper(II) complex. Biological activities of the ligand and metal complexes have been studied on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans by the well diffusion method. The activity data show the metal complexes to be more potent than the parent ligand against two bacterial species and one fungus. The electrochemical behavior of the copper complex was studied by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Transition metal complexes of CoII, NiII and CuII with 4-(4-azidosulfophenylazo)-5-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrazol-3-oneHL1, 4-(4-azidosulfophenylazo)-5-methyl-2-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrazol-3-one HL2 and 4-(3-azidosulfo-6-methoxyphenylazo)-5-methyl-2-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrazol-3-one HL3 were prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductances and magnetic susceptibilities and by i.r., electronic and e.s.r. spectral measurements as well as thermal (d.t.a and t.g.a.) analysis. The i.r. spectra indicate that HL acts as a bidentate ligand coordinating via the azo and enolic-oxygen linkages. The electronic spectral data and magnetic moments suggest a tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry for the complexes having the formula ML2·2H2O, (M = CoII, NiII and CuII), square pyramidal geometry for CuL 2 3 H2O and tetrahedral geometry for CoL 2 3 . The X-band e.s.r. spectra of the copper(II) complexes reveal anaxial symmetry for both CuL 2 2 2H2O and CuL 2 3 H2O while CuL 2 1 O is isotropic in the solid state at room temperature. The d.t.a. curves show two exothermic peaks for all three complexes CoL 2 3 ,NiL 2 3 2H2O and CuL 2 3 H2O and one endothermic peak for the latter two aqua complexes.  相似文献

1,9-Dioxa-3,6-dithiacyclotridecane-10,12-dione (L1), and 1,4-dioxa-7,10-dithiacyclododecane-2,3-dione, (L2), two novel ligands, and their mono- and di-nuclear copper(II) and/or nickel(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, 1H- and 13C-n.m.r., i.r., magnetic moments and mass spectral studies. Elemental analyses, stochiometric and spectroscopic data on the complexes indicate that the metal ions are coordinated to the nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur atoms and the data support the proposed structure for the diones and their mono–dinuclear copper(II) complexes. Moreover, copper(II) complexes of the dione ligands have a 1:1 metal:ligand ratio.  相似文献

A new tetradentate NOOO-donor ligand, N-(salicylidene)nitrosophenylglycine (H2snpg) has been designed, synthesized and structurally characterized. Copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), manganese(II) and zinc(II) complexes of H2snpg have been prepared for the first time. The authenticities of the ligand and its metal complexes have been established on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic properties, spectral (i.r., 1H-n.m.r., u.v.–vis. and mass) studies. The i.r. spectral studies of all the complexes exhibit a similar feature about the ligating nature of the ligand to the metal ions and revealed that the ligand has coordinated through the carbonyl oxygen, azomethine nitrogen, nitroso oxygen and deprotonated hydroxyl oxygen. The molar conductance data suggest them to be non-electrolytes. The antimicrobial activity of all the compounds was studied against Escherichia coli, Bacillus cirroflagellosus, Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans. All the complexes have shown a moderate to high fungal activity compared to the ligand.  相似文献

Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloro complexes of benzilic hydrazide (BH) have been synthesized. Also, reaction of the ligand (BH) with several copper(II) salts, including NO3 ?, AcO?, and SO4 ? afforded metal complexes of the general formula [CuLX(H2O) n nH2O, where X is the anion and n = 0, 1 or 2. The newly synthesized complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectra, molar conductance, UV–vis, IR spectra, magnetic moment, and thermal analysis (TG/DTG). The physico-chemical studies support that the ligand acts as monobasic bidentate towards metal ion through the carbonyl and hydroxyl oxygen atoms. The spectral data revealed that the geometrical structure of the complexes is square planar for Cu (II) complexes and tetrahedral for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes. Structural parameters of the ligand and its complexes have been calculated. The ligand and its metal complexes are screened for their antimicrobial activity. The catalytic activities of the metal chelates have been studied towards the oxidative decolorization of AB25, IC and AB92 dyes using H2O2. The catalytic activity is strongly dependent on the type of the metal ion and the anion of Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献
