Typically in the analysis of industrial data for product/process optimization, there are many response variables that are under investigation at the same time. Robustness is also an important concept in industrial optimization. Here, robustness means that the responses are not sensitive to the small changes of the input variables. However, most of the recent work in industrial optimization has not dealt with robustness, and most practitioners follow up optimization calculations without consideration for robustness. This paper presents a strategy for dealing with robustness and optimization simultaneously for multiple responses. In this paper, we propose a robustness desirability function distinguished from the optimization desirability function and also propose an overall desirability function approach, which makes balance between robustness and optimization for multiple response problems. Simplex search method is used to search for the most robust optimal point in the feasible operating region. Finally, the proposed strategy is illustrated with an example from the literature. A new version of an interactive NIMBUS method for nondifferentiable multiobjective optimization is described. It is based on the reference point idea and the classification of the objective functions. The original problem is transformed into a single objective form according to the classification information. NIMBUS has been designed especially to be able to handle complicated real-life problems in a user-friendly way.The NIMBUS method is used for solving an optimal control problem related to the continuous casting of steel. The main goal is to minimize the defects in the final product. Conflicting objective functions are constructed according to certain metallurgical criteria and some technological constraints. Due to the phase changes during the cooling process there exist discontinuities in the derivative of the temperature distribution. Thus, the problem is nondifferentiable.Like many real-life problems, the casting model is large and complicated and numerically demanding. NIMBUS provides an efficient way of handling the difficulties and, at the same time, aids the user in finding a satisficing solution. In the end, some numerical experiments are reported and compared with earlier results.  相似文献

决策问题是企业活动的重要组成,而决策往往是在市场信息不完备、企业自身数据收集和积累不足的情况下做出的.如何合理地进行决策,以达到优化资源配置的目的,是企业领导需解决的首要问题.出版社书号分配便是这样的一个例子.通过合理的假设,运用最优化原理和方法,确定目标函数为出版社的总收益,同时利用Excel对给出的调查问卷数据进行筛选处理,筛选出出版社编号为P 115的数据信息,即A出版社的信息,删除掉一些对结果影响不太大的数据列,留下包括课程名称在内的主要数字信息以供Matlab编程使用(课程名称里的汉字项以0替换,这项操作也在Excel里实现),然后分别对五年数据的四项满意指标进行处理,确定出对应课程满意度的评价准则.并对其他数据进行统计分析,依次确定出其他各个准则的约束条件,如准确度、人力资源限制等.其中根据专家评判给出目标权值,建立模糊综合评判模型,再由本题中书号和销售量的比例关系计算出2006年的每门课程书号所包含的成本与利润总和,由得出的结果设定优化模型的约束条件.最后利用M atlab软件处理数据,给出了较为合理的最优化模型的运行结果.总社根据这个结果对九个分社进行资源分配,以期达到最好的经济效益.本模型具有良好的可行性和通用性.并可推广到其他类似问题的求解中去.  相似文献

An integrated modeling approach to simultaneously optimizing both the location and dispersion effects of multiple responses is proposed. The proposed approach aims to identify the setting of input variables to maximize the overall minimal satisfaction level with respect to both location and dispersion of all the responses. The proposed approach overcomes the common limitation of the existing multiresponse approaches, which typically ignore the dispersion effect of the responses. Several possible variations of the proposed model are also discussed. Properties of the proposed approach are revealed via examples.  相似文献

Assume also that each C i is the fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping T i of H. We devise an iterative algorithm which generates a sequence (x n ) from an arbitrary initial x 0H. The sequence (xn) is shown to converge in norm to the unique solution of the quadratic minimization problem min xC (1/2)Ax, xx, u, where A is a bounded linear strongly positive operator on H and u is a given point in H. Response surface methodology (RSM) is a statistical-mathematical method used for analyzing and optimizing the experiments. In analysis process, experts usually face several input variables having effect on several outputs called response variables. Simultaneous optimization of the correlated response variables has become more important in complex systems. In this paper multi-response surfaces and their related stochastic nature have been modeled and optimized by Goal Programming (GP) in which the weights of response variables have been obtained through a Group Decision Making (GDM) process. Because of existing uncertainty in the stochastic model, some stochastic optimization methods have been applied to find robust optimum results. The coincidence experimental setup for studying multiple electron processes at low energies established at the Institute of Modern Physics was presented. The setup includes time-of-flight spectrometer, position sensitive detector, and multi-parameter data acquisition system. Presented were a TOF spectrum for Ar12+ on Ar collisions, a position spectrum obtained in O2+ + He collisions, and a two-dimension spectrum for Ar8+ + Ar collisions at 104 keV. The experimental results were analyzed in detail and 12 subprocesses were identified from the two-dimension spectrum.
