The low temperature susceptibility of the local moment system Fe has been measured by the Mössbauer effect. The susceptibility for this system and for the system Fe, Fe and Fe show general agreement with the prediction of the Wilson theory.  相似文献

The electronic structures and magnetism of the half-Heusler alloys XCrAl (X=Fe, Co, Ni) and NiCrZ (Z=Al, Ga, In) have been investigated to search for new candidate half-metallic materials. Here, we predict that NiCrAl, and NiCrGa and NiCrIn are possible half-metals with an energy gap in the minority spin and a completely spin polarization at the Fermi level. The energy gap can be attributed to the covalent hybridization between the d states of the Ni and Cr atoms, which leads to the formation of bonding and antibonding peaks with a gap in between them. Their total magnetic moments are 1μB per unit cell; agree with the Slater-Pauling rule. The partial moment of Cr is largest in NiCrZ alloys and moments of Ni and Al are in antiferromagnetic alignment with Cr. Meanwhile, it is also found that FeCrAl is a normal ferromagnetic metal with a magnetic moment of 0.25μB per unit cell and CoCrAl is a semi-metal and non-magnetic.  相似文献

We have investigated the sensitivity of X-ray line intensities as a laser-plasma diagnostic by seeding Si in CH and PbO plasmas. The Si K X-ray spectrum is measured using both time-integrating and time-resolving spectrographs to investigate the effect of time averaging on the line intensities. The measured intensities are compared with theoretical estimates for an isothermal, isodensity plasma. Si line intensities vary with the Z of the plasma, as expected from simple scaling models, indicating the Si lines can be a good plasma diagnostic. The line intensities do not predict a unique temperature and density, but, instead, the inferred temperature and density vary, depending on the line ratio used. These variations are attributed to large spatial gradients of temperature and density in the plasmas. Problems in interpretation are discussed, as well as possible directions for future experiments.  相似文献

First-principles calculations are carried out on models for the Z(1)/Z(2) defects in 4H-SiC which are found in as-grown and irradiated n-type material. We show that an interstitial-nitrogen-interstitial-carbon defect is exceptionally thermally stable, bistable, and has negative-U character with donor and acceptor levels close to those attributed to the defect.  相似文献

Using the most recent data on the ft-values of the 0+ → 0+ decays 14O, 26mAl and 35Cl, the hyperon β-decays, and the Ke3+ rate, we determine the following limits (95% confidence level): Cabibbo angle sin θ > 0.226, intermediate vector boson mass MZ > 25 Gev (for four quarks with integral charges) or MZ > 110 GeV (three colored quartets), Ke3+ form factor ?+(0) < 0.98.  相似文献

We have studied the magnetic, magnetocaloric, and magnetostriction properties of LaFe11.4Si1.6 and La(Fe0.99Z0.01)11.4Si1.6 (Z=Ni, Cu, Cr, V) compounds using magnetization and strain gauge techniques. It was found that substitution of 1% of the Fe by Z-elements results in an increase in the Curie temperature (TC), and affects the magnetostriction and magnetocaloric properties of the parent compound, LaFe11.4Si1.6. A maximum shift in TC of about 11 K, and significantly smaller hysteresis losses in the vicinity of TC compared with those of the base compound, were found for Z=V. The maximum magnetovolume coupling constant was estimated to be ndd≈2.7×10−3 (μB/Fe atom)−2 for the parent compound. The changes in the volume magnetostriction, the magnetovolume coupling constant, and the magnetocaloric properties are strongly correlated with composition. The relative effects of the variation in cell parameters and electron concentration on the magnetostriction, TC, and the magnetocaloric properties are discussed.  相似文献

Resummation of the perturbative series for the amplitude of lepton pair production in nucleus-nucleus collisions is performed based on the Watson theorem and the hypothesis of infrared stability. We compute neutral Higgs and Z0-boson couplings to quarks in a model with three quark-lepton families and one mirror family. Mixing between ordinary and mirrorquarks leads to flavour-changing couplings which are negligible for the known quarks. Experiments were performed in which ultrahigh intensity laser pulses (I>5 x 10(19) W cm(-2)) were used to irradiate thin wire targets. It was observed that such interactions generate a large number of relativistic electrons which escape the target and induce multimega ampere return currents within the wire. MHD instabilities can subsequently be observed in the pinching plasma along with field emission of electrons from nearby objects. Coherent optical transition radiation from adjacent objects was also observed.  相似文献
