In this paper, heat wave propagation and coupled thermoelasticity without energy dissipation in functionally graded thick hollow cylinder is presented based on Green–Naghdi theory. The material properties are supposed to vary as a power function of radius across the thickness of cylinder. The cylinder is considered in axisymmetry and plane strain conditions and it is divided to many sub-cylinders (layers) across the thickness. Each sub-cylinder is considered to be made of isotropic material and functionally graded property can be created by suitable arrangement of layers. The Galerkin finite element method and Newmark finite difference method are employed to solve the problem. The time history of second sounds and displacement wave propagation are obtained for various values of power function. Computed results agree well with the published data.  相似文献

通常假设二维材料为连续介质薄膜,然后采用连续介质薄膜的研究方法进行二维材料力学性能研究,其中气压鼓泡法是一种主要测试方法.但实验观测发现,悬空石墨烯并非处于气压鼓泡测试分析模型中假设的固支边界条件,而是处于一种粘附边界条件:靠近孔壁边界处,有小部分材料通过范德华吸引粘附在基底柱形孔的侧壁上,而且粘附部分可以在极小载荷作用下剥离.这导致石墨烯悬空部分的实际半径大于基底孔半径,即鼓泡实验中的石墨烯是一种松弛薄膜,而非通常认为的预拉伸薄膜.通过有限元数值模拟研究发现,可基于含有名义松弛应变的鼓泡分析模型获得处于粘附边界条件下的石墨烯弹性模量.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to analytical and numerical studies of global buckling of a sandwich circular plate. The mechanical properties of the plate core vary along its thickness, remaining constant in the facings. The middle surface of the plate is its symmetrical plane. The mathematical model of the plate is presented. The field of displacements is formulated using the proposed nonlinear hypothesis that generalizes the classical hypotheses. The equations of equilibrium are formulated based on the principle of stationary total potential energy. The proposed mathematical model of the displacements considers the shear effect. The numerical model of the plate is also formulated with a view to verify the analytical one. Numerical calculations are carried out for the chosen family of plates. The values of the critical load obtained by the analytical and numerical methods are compared. The effects of the material properties of the core and the change of the plate radius on the critical load intensity are presented.  相似文献

Summary A numerical method based on the assumption of a generalized plane strain (GPS) state is presented for calculating the stress and strength ratio distributions of the rotating composite flywheel rotor of varying material properties in the radial direction. The rotor is divided into many rings and each ring has constant material properties. All the rings are assumed to expand and have the same axial strain. A three-dimensional finite element method is then used to verify the accuracy of the present method. This method gives a better solution for most of the rotors than other methods of a plane stress or plane strain state. After verification, the effects of material properties on the total stored energy (TSE) of the composite flywheel rotor are investigated. For this purpose, the material properties of the rotor, i.e. circumferential and radial Young's moduli, ply angles and mass densities are expressed by power functions of the radius, and the rotor is analyzed. The analysis shows that TSE can be most effectively increased by changing the circumferential Young's moduli along the radius, which amounts to over 300% of TSE of the constant material properties. The variation of ply angles along the radius can increase TSE by about 30% at most. The method of changing the mass densities along the radius could be also effective but its effects are not so noticeable in the rotor where the circumferential stiffness is properly arranged. An axisymmetric electroelastic problem of hollow radially polarized piezoceramic cylinders made of functionally graded (FG) materials is analyzed. For the material properties of power-law profile, a closed-form solution is derived. For a general gradient variation, an analytic approach is suggested, which reduces the problem to a Fredholm integral equation. Solving the resulting equation, the response of the electroelastic field can be determined. No severe limitation is required for varying material properties in this method. Numerical results of a cylindrical FG piezoelectric tube with PZT-5H as the inner surface ceramic are evaluated, and the distribution of the radial and circumferential stresses as well as the electric potential for piezoelectric sensors and actuators are presented graphically under electric and mechanical stimuli, respectively. Our results indicate that the electroelastic response in an FG piezoceramic tube with material properties decreasing when the radius increases becomes more obvious than that with material properties increasing. Moreover, the gradient index strongly affects the stress distribution and electric response. The obtained results are helpful for the design of annular cylindrical FG piezoelectric sensors/actuators.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamical cavitation behavior is analyzed for a sphere composed of a class of transversely isotropic incompressible hyper-elastic materials, where there is a pre-existing micro-void in the interior of the sphere. A second-order non-linear ordinary differential equation that governs the motion of the initial micro-void is obtained by using the boundary conditions. On analyzing the qualitative properties of the solutions of the differential equation, some interesting conclusions are proposed. It is proved that the number of equilibrium points of the differential equation depends on the values of the material parameters, and that the phase diagrams of the equation are closed, smooth and convex trajectories. For any prescribed surface tensile dead-loads, the motion of the initial micro-void undergoes a non-linear periodic oscillation. The dependence of the periodic motion of the initial micro-void on material parameters and the radius of the initial micro-void is examined, and numerical results are also provided. It is worth pointing out that the conclusions in this paper can be used to describe approximately the physical implications of the dynamical formation of a cavity in the sphere.  相似文献

Übersicht Es wird das vom Ortsradius und von der Zeitvariablen abhängige Geschwindigkeitsfeld von Strömungen im Ringraum zwischen zwei konzentrischen Kreiszylindern nach plötzlichem Abbremsen des Innenzylinders bestimmt und für einige Durchmesserverhältnisse angegeben. Der Grenzfall mit verschwindendem Durchmesser des Innenzylinders wird näher untersucht. Für diesen werden neben dem Geschwindigkeitsfeld die wesentlichen mechanischen Größen der Strömung, wie Wirbelstärke, Spannungen, Kräfte sowie Arbeiten bzw. Energien, berechnet und zu denen des Hamel-Oseen-Wirbels in Beziehung gesetzt.
Summary The velocity field dependent on position and time is predicted for the flow between two circular cylinders of various radius ratios when the inner cylinder is suddenly brought to rest. A detailed study is made of the limiting case where the radius of the inner cylinder approaches zero. For this special case some important flow characteristics, such as vorticity, strain, force, shear work, kinetic energy and dissipation energy are calculated. These values are compared with corresponding values from the so called Hamel-Oseen-vortex.

Based on the surface elasticity theory of Gurtin-Murdoch, thermo-elastic fields within rotating nanoshafts with varying material properties subjected to a thermal field are explicitly examined. Accounting for the surface energy effect, the nonclassical boundary conditions are enforced in the cases of fixed-free and free-free conditions. The effects of variation of material properties, temperature of the envi-ronment, angular velocity, and radius of the outer radius on the radial displacement, hoop and radial stresses are investi-gated. In all performed studies, the role of the surface effect on the thermo-elastic field of the nanostructure is methodi-cally discussed.  相似文献

The elasto-plastic finite element analyses for an interface crack indissimilar material,based on the crack energy density(CED)concept,are investigatedin mode Ⅰ loading condition.It is confirmed that the values of CED almost remainstable when the notch radius ρ is sufficiently small,both in elastic and elasto-plasticcase.Numerical results for both elastic and elasto-plastic cases show that under themode Ⅰ loading condition,when the crack propagates to the more stiff material with asmall angle,the total CED will become larger than that along the interface.If thecrack heads into the more compliant material,the CED will become less than that alongthe interface.  相似文献

采用统一强度理论并考虑材料拉伸与压缩弹性模量的差异性,建立均匀内压作用下双层厚壁圆筒的应力表达式,获得了其内压相应的弹性极限解答、塑性极限解答,并分析拉压强度比、拉压模量系数、统一强度理论参数、半径比及分层半径对弹性、塑性极限内压的影响规律.研究结果表明:弹性、塑性极限内压随拉压强度比的增加而减小,但随统一强度理论参数、半径比的增加而增大;弹性极限内压随分层半径的增加呈现先增大后减小变化,随拉压模量系数的增加而一直减小;塑性极限内压与拉压模量系数、分层半径无关.应用于实际工程时,可根据所得结果选择合理的壁厚及分层半径,再根据材料特性确定其他参数,以便更加准确地计算结构的受力状况.  相似文献

混凝土的断裂韧度是重要的材料参数,本文利用含U形切口的三点弯曲梁试验结合临界距离线法来获得混凝土的断裂韧度.理论推导了含断裂韧度与不同根部半径的断裂失效方程,采用有限元法计算了切口应力集中系数.根据断裂失效方程和试验中的材料几何参数,利用最小二乘法拟合计算得到混凝土材料的断裂韧度和抗拉强度.对小切口半径情形,采用双K断裂准则分析计算了混凝土起裂韧度和失稳断裂韧度,分析结果表明:临界距离线法得到的材料断裂韧度与双K断裂准则中的失稳断裂韧度吻合,同时获得相应临界距离值.  相似文献

The shear compression specimen (SCS), which is used for large strain testing, is thoroughly investigated numerically using three-dimensional elastoplastic finite element simulations. In this first part of the study we address quasi-static loading. A bi-linear material model is assumed. We investigate the effect of geometrical parameters, such as gage height and root radius, on the stress and strain distribution and concentration. The analyses show that the stresses and strains are reasonably uniform on a typical gage mid-section, and their average values reflect accurately the prescribed material model. We derive accurate correlations between the averaged von Mises stress and strain and the applied experimental load and displacement. These relations depend on the specimen geometry and the material properties. Numerical results are compared to experimental data, and an excellent agreement is observed. This study confirms the potential of the SCS for large strain testing of material.  相似文献

采用半解析方法研究了两端简支的功能梯度夹层圆柱壳在端部扭转载荷作用下的弹性稳定性.考虑圆柱壳的里外表层为均匀材料,中间层为材料性质沿厚度方向连续变化的功能梯度材料,并且在界面处的材料性质保持连续. 基于Flügge薄壳理论,建立了位移形式的结构静态屈曲控制方程.根据边界条件将位移表示为三角级数形式,获得包含柱壳端部扭转载荷参数的近似线性代数特征值问题,并通过数值方法求得了表征结构失稳特征的临界载荷. 数值结果表明,临界载荷随着半径与厚度比的增加而减小,随着功能梯度中间层的弹性模量的平均值的增加而增加.   相似文献

研究了动态载荷下功能梯度材料中的圆币形裂纹问题.假设材料为横观各向同性,并且含有多个垂直于厚度方向的裂纹,材料参数沿轴向(与裂纹面垂直的方向)为变化的,沿该方向将材料划分为许多单层,各单层材料参数为常数,利用Hankel变换祛,在Laplace域内推导出了控制问题的对偶积分方程组.利用Laplace数值反演,得出了裂纹尖端的动态应力强度因子和能量释放率.研究了含两个裂纹的功能梯度接头结构,分析了材料非均匀性参数对应力强度因子和能量释放率的影响.  相似文献

In the present paper, bending and stress analyses of two-directional functionally graded (FG) annular plates resting on non-uniform two-parameter Winkler-Pasternak founda- tions and subjected to normal and in-plane-shear tractions is investigated using the exact three- dimensional theory of elasticity. Neither the in-plane shear loading nor the influence of the two- directional material heterogeneity has been investigated by the researchers before. The solution is obtained by employing the state space and differential quadrature methods. The material proper- ties are assumed to vary in both transverse and radial directions. Three different types of variations of the stiffness of the foundation are considered in the radial direction: linear, parabolic, and sinu- soidal. The convergence analysis and the comparative studies demonstrate the high accuracy and high convergence rate of the present approach. A parametric study consisting of evaluating effects of different parameters (e.g., exponents of the material properties laws, the thickness to radius ratio, trends of variations of the foundation stiffness, and different edge conditions) is carried out. The results are reported for the first time and are discussed in detail.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the problem of rigid cylinder turning on a linear viscoelastic orthotropic half-space with Coulomb's friction acting along the contact area. Results for extents of contact area and pressure under the cylinder are obtained using Volterra's principle. The obtained functions of viscoelastic operators are interpreted by a method based on expansion of such functions in operator continued fractions. A solution is given for the general type of resolvent viscoelastic operators expressing rheological properties of half-space material. Algebra of resolvent Volterrian operators is used to facilitate the calculations. An example is given to illustrate the results for real viscoelastic material with the rheological properties expressed by the operators of Yu.N. Rabotnov.  相似文献
