The photoluminescence spectra of a series of 5‐substituted pyridyl‐1,2,3‐triazolato PtII homoleptic complexes show weak emission tunability (ranging from λ=397–408 nm) in dilute (10?6 M ) ethanolic solutions at the monomer level and strong tunability in concentrated solutions (10?4 M ) and thin films (ranging from λ=487–625 nm) from dimeric excited states (excimers). The results of density functional calculations (PBE0) attribute this “turn‐on” sensitivity and intensity in the excimer to strong Pt–Pt metallophilic interactions and a change in the excited‐state character from singlet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) to singlet metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (1MMLCT) emissions in agreement with lifetime measurements.  相似文献

We prepared enantiomers of chiral PtII complexes, Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN (pppbH=1‐pyridyl‐3‐(4,5‐pinenopyridyl)benzene), and measured their CPL (circularly polarized luminescence) spectra for excimer and trimer emission. The contribution of the pinene moiety to CPL was considerably low for the π–π* emission of the monomer but large for MMLCT (metal‐metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer) of the excimer and trimer which had a helical structure induced in a face‐to‐face stacking fashion. The trimer CPL for (+)‐Pt(pppb)Cl was larger in intensity than that of excimer CPL; on the other hand, that for (+)‐Pt(pppb)CN was opposite in sign compared with that of excimer CPL. We conclude that differences in the excited‐state structure of the aggregate between Pt(pppb)Cl and Pt(pppb)CN account for the variation in the CPL spectra. By the aid of TD‐DFT calculations it was predicted that the dihedral angle θ(Cl‐Pt‐Pt‐Cl) was 50–60° or 110–140° for Pt(pppb)Cl aggregates and 160° for Pt(pppb)CN aggregates.  相似文献

The complexes [Pt2L2(μ-dppm)](ClO4)2 (1) and {[Pt2L2(μ-dppm)Li(CH3CN)2](ClO4)3}n (2), where HL is 6-[4-(diethoxyphosphorylmethyl)phenyl]-2,2′-bipyridinyl and dppm is bis(diphenylphosphino)methane, have been synthesized and characterized. In complex 1 the platinum(Ⅱ) center adopts a distorted square planar coordination geometry. The polymer 2 exhibits a "stairstep" configuration with one-dimensional Pt(Ⅱ)N^N^CPO- Li(Ⅰ)-OPC^N^ NPt(Ⅱ) mixed-metal units which are linked through dppm. Both complexes have metal-metal interaction with Pt- Pt distances of 3.325(2) and 3.1432(9) A, respectively, and display strong metal-metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MMLCT) triplet state emission. The density-functional-theory calculation was used to interpret the absorption spectra of the complexes.  相似文献

The complex series [Ru(pap)(Q)2]n ([ 1 ]n–[ 4 ]n; n=+2, +1, 0, ?1, ?2) contains four redox non‐innocent entities: one ruthenium ion, 2‐phenylazopyridine (pap), and two o‐iminoquinone moieties, Q=3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐N‐aryl‐1,2‐benzoquinonemonoimine (aryl=C6H5 ( 1+ ); m‐(Cl)2C6H3 ( 2+ ); m‐(OCH3)2C6H3 ( 3+ ); m‐(tBu)2C6H3 ( 4 +)). A crystal structure determination of the representative compound, [ 1 ]ClO4, established the crystallization of the ctt‐isomeric form, that is, cis and trans with respect to the mutual orientations of O and N donors of two Q ligands, and the coordinating azo N atom trans to the O donor of Q. The sensitive C? O (average: 1.299(3) Å), C? N (average: 1.346(4) Å) and intra‐ring C? C (meta; average: 1.373(4) Å) bond lengths of the coordinated iminoquinone moieties in corroboration with the N?N length (1.292(3) Å) of pap in 1 + establish [RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)2]+ as the most appropriate electronic structural form. The coupling of three spins from one low‐spin ruthenium(III) (t2g5) and two Q.? radicals in 1 +– 4 + gives a ground state with one unpaired electron on Q.?, as evident from g=1.995 radical‐type EPR signals for 1 +– 4 +. Accordingly, the DFT‐calculated Mulliken spin densities of 1 + (1.152 for two Q, Ru: ?0.179, pap: 0.031) confirm Q‐based spin. Complex ions 1 +– 4 + exhibit two near‐IR absorption bands at about λ=2000 and 920 nm in addition to intense multiple transitions covering the visible to UV regions; compounds [ 1 ]ClO4–[ 4 ]ClO4 undergo one oxidation and three separate reduction processes within ±2.0 V versus SCE. The crystal structure of the neutral (one‐electron reduced) state ( 2 ) was determined to show metal‐based reduction and an EPR signal at g=1.996. The electronic transitions of the complexes 1 n– 4 n (n=+2, +1, 0, ?1, ?2) in the UV, visible, and NIR regions, as determined by using spectroelectrochemistry, have been analyzed by TD‐DFT calculations and reveal significant low‐energy absorbance (λmax>1000 nm) for cations, anions, and neutral forms. The experimental studies in combination with DFT calculations suggest the dominant valence configurations of 1 n– 4 n in the accessible redox states to be [RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)(Q0)]2+ ( 1 2+– 4 2+)→[RuIII(pap0)(Q.?)2]+ ( 1 +– 4 +)→[RuII(pap0)(Q.?)2] ( 1 – 4 )→[RuII(pap.?)(Q.?)2]? ( 1 ?– 4 ?)→[RuIII(pap.?)(Q2?)2]2? ( 1 2?– 4 2?).  相似文献

A novel fluorescent (p‐phenylene ethynylene)‐calix[4]arene‐based polymer ( CALIX‐PPE ) has been successfully synthesized by cross‐coupling polymerization of bis‐calix[4]arene 1 with 1,4‐diethynylbenzene. The polycondensation was carried out in toluene/NEt3 at 35 °C for 24 h, using PdCl2(PPh3)2/CuI as the catalytic system, furnishing CALIX‐PPE in excellent isolated yields (higher than 95%, several runs). The yellow polymer is freely soluble in several nonprotic organic solvents. The GPC trace of the isolated polymer showed a monomodal distribution and a number‐average molecular weight of 23,300 g mol?1 (Mw/Mn = 2.05). No evidence was found in the structural analysis (FTIR and 1H/13C NMR) regarding the formation of alkyne homocoupled segments along the polymer chain. For comparative purposes, the synthesis of an analogous poly(p‐phenylene ethynylene) containing pt‐butyl‐phenoxymethyl side chains ( TBP‐PPE ) was also undertaken. A great similarity was found between the photophysical properties of CALIX‐PPE and TBP‐PPE in solution (UV–vis and laser induced luminescence), clearly demonstrating their unique dependence on the structure and conformation of the conjugated PPE backbone. The fluorescence spectra of polymers are of nearly identical shape, displaying their maximum emission around 420 nm. The calculated solution photoluminescence quantum yields of CALIX‐PPE and TBP‐PPE are of similar magnitude (?F( CALIX‐PPE ) = 0.43; ?F( TBP‐PPE ) = 0.51). © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A heteroleptic bis(tributylphosphine) platinum(II)‐alkynyl complex ( Pt‐1 ) showing broadband visible‐light absorption was prepared. Two different visible‐light‐absorbing ligands, that is, ethynylated boron‐dipyrromethene (BODIPY) and a functionalized naphthalene diimide (NDI) were used in the molecule. Two reference complexes, Pt‐2 and Pt‐3 , which contain only the NDI or BODIPY ligand, respectively, were also prepared. The coordinated BODIPY ligand shows absorption at 503 nm and fluorescence at 516 nm, whereas the coordinated NDI ligand absorbs at 594 nm; the spectral overlap between the two ligands ensures intramolecular resonance energy transfer in Pt‐1 , with BODIPY as the singlet energy donor and NDI as the energy acceptor. The complex shows strong absorption in the region 450 nm–640 nm, with molar absorption coefficient up to 88 000 M ?1 cm?1. Long‐lived triplet excited states lifetimes were observed for Pt‐1 – Pt‐3 (36.9 μs, 28.3 μs, and 818.6 μs, respectively). Singlet and triplet energy transfer processes were studied by the fluorescence/phosphorescence excitation spectra, steady‐state and time‐resolved UV/Vis absorption and luminescence spectra, as well as nanosecond time‐resolved transient difference absorption spectra. A triplet‐state equilibrium was observed for Pt‐1 . The complexes were used as triplet photosensitizers for triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion, with upconversion quantum yields up to 18.4 % being observed for Pt‐1 .  相似文献

The 1‐cyclopropyl‐6‐fluoro‐1,4‐dihydro‐4‐oxo‐7‐(piperazin‐1‐yl)quinoline‐3‐carboxylic acid (=ciprofloxacin; 1 ) undergoes low‐efficiency (Φ=0.07) substitution of the 6‐fluoro by an OH group on irradiation in H2O via the ππ* triplet (detected by flash photolysis, λmax 610 nm, τ 1.5 μs). Decarboxylation is a minor process (≤5%). The addition of sodium sulfite or phosphate changes the course of the reaction under neutral conditions. Reductive defluorination is the main process in the first case, while defluorination is accompanied by degradation of the piperazine moiety in the presence of phosphate. In both cases, the initial step is electron‐transfer quenching of the triplet (kq=2.3⋅108M −1 s−1 and 2.2⋅107M −1 s−1, respectively). Oxoquinoline derivative 1 is much more photostable under acidic conditions, and in this case the F‐atom is conserved, and the piperazine group is stepwise degraded (Φ=0.001).  相似文献

Water‐soluble alkynylplatinum(II) terpyridine complexes appended with guanidinium moieties, [Pt(tpy)(C?C?Ar)][OTf]2 (tpy=terpyridine; OTf=trifluoromethanesulfonate; Ar=C6H4‐{NHC(?NH2+)(NH2)}‐4 ( 1 ), C6H4‐{CH2NHC(?NH2+)(NH2)}‐4 ( 2 )), and [Pt(tBu3tpy)(C?CC6H4‐{NHC(?NH2+)(NH2)}‐4)][OTf]2 ( 3 ; tBu3tpy=4,4′,4′′‐tri‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine), have been synthesized and characterized. The photophysical properties of the complexes have been studied. Based on the results of UV/Vis absorption, resonance light scattering, and dynamic light scattering experiments, in aqueous buffer solutions complexes 1 and 2 undergo aggregation in the presence of citrate through strong and specific electrostatic and hydrogen‐bonding interactions with citrate. The emergence of a triplet metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (3MMLCT) emission in the near‐infrared (NIR) region brought on by the induced self‐assembly of complex 1 has been demonstrated for proof‐of‐principle detection of citrate with good sensitivity and selectivity over other mono‐ and dicarboxylate substrates in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle as well as phosphate and lactate anions. Such a good selectivity toward citrate has been rationalized by the high charge density of citrate under physiological conditions and specific interactions between the guanidinium moiety on complex 1 and citrate. Extension of the work to citrate detection in fetal bovine serum and real‐time monitoring of the activity of citrate lyase by the NIR emission of complex 1 have also been demonstrated.  相似文献

A series of dinuclear cycloplatinated(II) complexes with general closed formula of [Pt2Me2(C^N)2(μ‐P^P)] (C^N = 2‐vinylpyridine (Vpy), 2,2′‐bipyridine N‐oxide (O‐bpy), 2‐(2,4‐difluorophenyl)pyridine (dfppy); P^P = 1,1‐bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm), N,N‐bis(diphenylphosphino)amine (dppa)) are reported. The complexes were characterized by means of NMR spectroscopy. Due to the presence of dppm and dppa with short backbones as bridging ligands, two platinum centres are located in front of each other in these complexes so a Pt…Pt interaction is established. Because of this Pt…Pt interaction, the complexes have bright orange colour under ambient light and are able to strongly emit red light under UV light exposure. These strong red emissions originate from a 3MMLCT (metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer) electronic transition. In most of these complexes, the emissions have unstructured bell‐shaped bands, confirming the presence of large amount of 3MMLCT character in the emissive state. Only the complexes bearing dfppy and dppa ligands reveal dual luminescence: a high‐energy structured emission originating from 3ILCT/3MLCT (intra‐ligand charge transfer/metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer) and an unstructured low‐energy band associated with 3MMLCT. In order to describe the nature of the electronic transitions, density functional theory calculations were performed for all the complexes.  相似文献

The trans‐Pt(PBu3)2Cl2 complex reacts with 1 equiv. of 2,6‐diethynyl‐ AQ and 2 equiv. of 2‐ethynyl‐ AQ ( AQ = anthraquinone) to form the polymer (trans‐Pt(2,6‐diethynyl‐ AQ )2(PBu3)2)n, 1 , and the model compounds, 2 , trans‐Pt(PBu3)2(2‐ethynyl‐ AQ )2 (in a 20:1 ratio as trans‐( 2a ) and cis‐( 2b ) rotational isomers), respectively. These redox‐active and luminescent materials have been characterized by gel permeation chromatography, thermal gravimetric analysis, X‐ray crystallography, electrochemistry, photophysics, and DFT computations (B3LYP). The typical π,π* T2→S0 phosphorescence centered on the trans‐Pt(PBu3)2(aryl)2 chromophore, [Pt] , generally encountered for the analogous polymers (trans‐Pt(PBu3)2(aryl)2‐acceptor)n (acceptor = quinonediimine, QN2 ; anthraquinone diimine, AQN2 ), for which the CT T1→S0 emission is silent, has been completely annihilated and replaced by a red‐shifted T1→S0 emission in 1 and 2a , which arise from a triplet charge transfer excited state [Pt] → AQ .

A new turn on fluorescent probe for ferric ion based on poly(m‐phenyleneethynylene salicylaldimine) ( PPE‐IM ) has been developed. The preparation of PPE‐IM involves post‐polymerization functionalization of the corresponding polymeric amine, PPE‐AM , via the condensation with salicylaldehyde. The degree of polymerization of both PPE‐IM and PPE‐IM is 17 with polydispersity index of 1.5. In aqueous solution, the polymeric PPE‐IM is highly stable unlike its small molecule analog which is gradually hydrolyzed. The weak fluorescence of initial PPE ‐ IM (λem = 470) is greatly enhanced by 300 folds upon the addition of Fe3+. The 1H NMR reveals that the fluorescence enhancement is caused by Fe3+‐induced hydrolysis of the imine group. The sensing system shows a detection limit of 0.14 μM of Fe3+. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Chem. 2018 , 56, 1155–1161  相似文献

Four derivatives of the titled compounds, (8‐hydroxyquinoline)bis(2‐phenylpyridyl)iridium ( IrQ(ppy)2 ), were prepared. Two of them were confirmed by single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses, in which solvent molecules were found to be incorporated in the crystal lattices. Their emission spectra display separated dual bands in de‐aerated solutions at about 515 and 645 nm upon excitation. These green and red emissions are attributed to the triplet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (3MLCT) and triplet ligand centered (3LC) transitions in Ir(ppy)2 and IrQ, respectively. It is suggested that such a multiple emission is feasible by nearly orthogonal orientation between the ppy and quinoline ligands in the mixed‐ligand Ir‐compounds which prohibits energy transfer between the two different ligands. The electroluminescence (EL) of these compounds was examined by the fabrication of light‐emitting diodes (LEDs). Unlike the spectra in solutions, their EL spectra displayed only the red emission band. Devices displaying white light can be obtained by mixing the red emission of IrQ(ppy)2 with a compatible blue emitter (NPB) in separated layers.  相似文献

The direct ion exchange of chloro(2,6-bis(N-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine)platinum(II) ([Pt(Me(2)bzimpy)Cl]+) and chloro(2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine)platinum(II) ([Pt(tpy)Cl]+) complexes within a zirconium phosphate (ZrP) framework has been accomplished. The physical and spectroscopic properties of [Pt(Me(2)bzimpy)Cl]+ and [Pt(tpy)Cl]+ intercalated in ZrP were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray photoelectron, infrared, absorption, and luminescence spectroscopies. In contrast to unintercalated complexes in fluid solution, which do not emit at room temperature, both intercalated materials in the solid state and in colloidal suspensions exhibit intense emissions at room temperature. A [Pt(Me(2)bzimpy)Cl]+-exchanged ZrP colloidal methanol suspension gives rise to an emission at 612 nm that originates from a lowest (3)MMLCT[dsigma*(Pt) --> pi*(tpy)] state (MMLCT = metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer) characteristic of strong Pt...Pt interactions. A [Pt(tpy)Cl]+-exchanged ZrP colloidal aqueous suspension exhibits a strong emission band at 600 nm. The accumulated data demonstrate that at high concentrations, [Pt(Me(2)bzimpy)Cl]+ and [Pt(tpy)Cl]+ ions can serve as luminescent pillars inside the ZrP framework.  相似文献

A series of luminescent cyclometalated platinum(Ⅱ)complexes,(C^N^N)Pt(C≡CR)[HC^N^N=4-(4-tolyl)-6-phenyl-2,2’-bipyridine;R=4-chlorophenyl(1),phenyl(2) and 4-tolyl(3)],were synthesized, and their spectroscopic properties have been examined. These complexes are brightly emissive both in fluid solution and in the solid state, attributed to triplet metal-to-ligand charge transfer(^3MLCT)state.The excited state energy can be tuned by ancillary acetylide ligands. The emission lifetimes in dichloromethand solution at room temperature were up to 1.64 μs and the emission quantum yields were in the range of 0.03-0.15.  相似文献

The neutral compounds [Pt(bzq)(CN)(CNR)] (R=tBu ( 1 ), Xyl ( 2 ), 2‐Np ( 3 ); bzq= benzoquinolate, Xyl=2,6‐dimethylphenyl, 2‐Np=2‐napthyl) were isolated as the pure isomers with a trans‐Cbzq,CNR configuration, as confirmed by 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopy in the isotopically marked [Pt(bzq)(13CN)(CNR)] (R=tBu ( 1′ ), Xyl ( 2′ ), 2‐Np ( 3′ )) derivatives (δ13CCN≈110 ppm; 1J(Pt,13C)≈1425 Hz]. By contrast, complex [Pt(bzq)(C≡CPh)(CNXyl)] ( 4 ) with a trans‐Nbzq,CNR configuration, has been selectively isolated from [Pt(bzq)Cl(CNXyl)] (trans‐Nbzq,CNR) using Sonogashira conditions. X‐ray diffraction studies reveal that while 1 adopts a columnar‐stacked chain structure with Pt–Pt distances of 3.371(1) Å and significant π???π interactions (3.262 Å), complex 2 forms dimers supported only by short Pt???Pt (3.370(1) Å) interactions. In complex 4 the packing is directed by weak bzq???Xyl and bzq???C≡E (C, N) interactions. In solid state at room temperature, compounds 1 and 2 both show a bright red emission (?=42.1 % 1 , 57.6 % 2 ). Luminescence properties in the solid state at 77 K and concentration‐dependent emission studies in CH2Cl2 at 298 K and at 77 K are also reported for 1 , 1·CHCl3 , 2 , 2' , 2·CHCl3 , 3 , 4 .  相似文献

A new class of high‐temperature dipolar polymers based on sulfonylated poly(2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐phenylene oxide) (SO2‐PPO) was synthesized by post‐polymer functionalization. Owing to the efficient rotation of highly polar methylsulfonyl side groups below the glass transition temperature (Tg≈220 °C), the dipolar polarization of these SO2‐PPOs was enhanced, and thus the dielectric constant was high. Consequently, the discharge energy density reached up to 22 J cm?3. Owing to its high Tg , the SO2‐PPO25 sample also exhibited a low dielectric loss. For example, the dissipation factor (tan δ) was 0.003, and the discharge efficiency at 800 MV m?1 was 92 %. Therefore, these dipolar glass polymers are promising for high‐temperature, high‐energy‐density, and low‐loss electrical energy storage applications.  相似文献

A molecular design to high-performance red and near-infrared (NIR) organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) emitters remains demanding. Herein a series of dinuclear platinum(II) complexes featuring strong intramolecular Pt???Pt and π–π interactions has been developed by using N-deprotonated α-carboline as a bridging ligand. The complexes in doped thin films exhibit efficient red to NIR emission from short-lived (τ=0.9–2.1 μs) triplet metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MMLCT) excited states. Red OLEDs demonstrate high maximum external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of up to 23.3 % among the best PtII-complex-doped devices. The maximum EQE of 15.0 % and radiance of 285 W sr?1 m?2 for NIR OLEDs (λEL=725 nm) are unprecedented for devices based on discrete molecular emitters. Both red and NIR devices show very small efficiency roll-off at high brightness. Appealing operational lifetimes have also been revealed for the devices. This work sheds light on the potential of intramolecular metallophilicity for long-wavelength molecular emitters and electroluminescence.  相似文献

Neutral binuclear ruthenium complexes 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 of the general formula [{RuCl26p‐cym)}2 μ‐(NN)] (NN = bis(nicotinate)‐ and bis(isonicotinate)‐polyethylene glycol esters: (3‐py)COO(CH2CH2O)nCO(3‐py) and (4‐py)COO(CH2CH2O)nCO(4‐py), n =1–4), as well as mononuclear [RuCl26p‐cym)((3‐py)COO(CH2CH2OCH3)‐κN)], complex 9 , were synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis and electrospray ionization high‐resolution mass spectrometry, infrared, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies. Stability of the binuclear complexes in the presence of dimethylsulfoxide was studied. Furthermore, formation of a cationic complex containing bridging pyridine‐based bidentate ligand was monitored using 1H NMR spectroscopy. Ligand precursors, polyethylene glycol esters of nicotinic ( L1 · 2HCl– L4 · 2HCl and L9 · HCl) and isonicotinic acid dihydrochlorides ( L5 · 2HCl– L8 · 2HCl), binuclear ruthenium(II) complexes 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 and mononuclear complex 9 were tested for in vitro cytotoxicity against 518A2 (melanoma), 8505C (anaplastic thyroid cancer), A253 (head and neck tumour), MCF‐7 (breast tumour) and SW480 (colon carcinoma) cell lines. A series of assembled PtII complexes comprising N-heterocyclic carbene and cyanide ligands was constructed using different substituent groups, [Pt(CN)2(R-impy)] (R-impyH+=1-alkyl-3-(2-pyridyl)-1H-imidazolium, R=Me ( Pt-Me ), Et ( Pt-Et ), iPr ( Pt- i Pr ), and tBu ( Pt- t Bu )). All the complexes exhibited highly efficient photoluminescence with an emission quantum yield of 0.51–0.81 in the solid state at room temperature, originating from the triplet metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MMLCT) state. Their emission colors cover the entire visible region from red for Pt-Me to blue for Pt- t Bu . Importantly, Pt- t Bu is the first example that exhibits blue 3MMLCT emission. The 3MMLCT emission was proved and characterized based on the temperature dependences of the crystal structures and emission properties. The wide-range color tuning of luminescence using the 3MMLCT emission presents a new strategy of superfine control of the emission color.  相似文献
