The level structure of 64-70Ge isotopes has been studied within the framework of the interacting boson model-3 (IBM-3). The symmetry character in the proton and neutron degrees of freedom of the energy levels has been investigated. The isospin excitation states (T>Tz) have been assigned for the 64Ge (N=Z) nucleus. Some intruder states in these nuclei have been suggested. The calculated energy levels and transition probabilities are in good agreement with recent experimental data. The study indicates that the Ge isotopes are in transition from γ-unstable to vibrational.  相似文献

The reaction 72Ge(t, p)74Ge has been investigated with a 15 MeV triton beam. Fifty energy levels of 74Ge were identified up to about 4.9 MeV excitation, eighteen of which were previously unreported. Angular distributions were measured and compared with DWBA calculations. Two low-lying states at 1.913 and 2.164 MeV have been assigned as Jπ = 0+, corresponding to the 03+ and 04+ states in 74Ge. The 42+ state has been located at 2.674 MeV, and the 24+ at 2.836 MeV. Many additional spin and parity assignments have been made. The 74Ge nucleus shows a considerably different structure of 0+ states compared with the neighboring 76Ge and 78Ge nuclei, perhaps further evidence for the shape transition suggested recently for the Ge isotopes.  相似文献

The surface and interface states of the (111) and (1?1?1?) faces of Ge and GaAs have been studied self-consistently within the tight binding approach. The surface and interface states occupation and energy levels are determined. The results obtained for the surface are compared with available experimental evidence. Those obtained for the interfaces suggest that some relaxation must occur at the interfaces between Ge and GaAs.  相似文献

Several low-lying states of 72As have been studied via the γ-rays following the bombardment of 72Ge by protons in the energy range 5.1–6.2 MeV. Gamma-ray spectra were obtained using a Ge(Li) detector, and gamma-gamma coincidences between this detector and a NaI crystal were also investigated. Besides the single previously known excited state at 46 keV, 12 additional excited states were determined in 72As at energies of 213, 242, 308, 317, 333, 343, 413, 438, 454, 512, 523 and (561) keV. The angular distributions of the γ-rays from the 213 and 242 keV levels have also been measured, and the results have been analyzed using the compound nucleus statistical model. The excited states at 213 and 242 keV were found to have spins of (2) and 3 respectively.  相似文献

The low energy states of57Fe has been studied by means of thermal neutron radiative capture. The gamma-ray spectrum below 3 MeV was measured using a Ge(Li) detector of an intrinsic volume 5.4 cm3. On making use of other experiments beside the good resolution of the Ge(Li) detector it was possible to suggest a decay scheme and to get some valuable informations. The transitions from the levels 366.7keV to the ground- and first-excited states seem to be pureM1 transitions. An evidence for the existence of a transition from the level 1725.5 keV to the 1018.6 keV with an absolute intensity 2.4% is shown.  相似文献

The properties of low-lying states in 76Ge, especially the characteristics of the mixed-symmetry states, have been investigated within the neutron-proton interacting boson model (IBM-2). By considering the relative energy of d proton boson to be different from that of neutron boson, the low-lying positive parity levels and M1, E2 transition strengths have been calculated. The IBM-2 calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data. Particularly, the mixed-symmetry states have been reproduced quite well. The calculation and systematic analysis demonstrated that the collective character of 76Ge lies closest to the SU*πv(3), with some possible Oπv(6) dynamic symmetry in IBM-2 viewpoint.  相似文献

The direct and the coincidence spectra of gamma-rays from the131Sb decay have been measured by means of different Ge(Li) detectors. The Sb sources have been prepared from mixture of235U thermal neutron fission products. The proposed level scheme of the131Te nuclei is based on the coincidence measurements, the analysis of the energy sums and the reaction data. The 49 of the total number of 64 gamma-rays observed have been placed in the present decay scheme. Properties of the some levels in131Te are compared with those observed in other oddmass Te isotopes. A probable structure of some of the excited states in131Te is discussed.  相似文献

The γ-ray spectrum emitted after thermal neutron capture in 41K has been measured with pair and Ge(Li) spectrometers at the ILL high-flux reactor. About 630 transitions have been assigned to the decay of 133 excited states in 42K. The level energies have been determined with a precison of 20 ppm; the neutron binding energy was determined to be EB = 7533.82(15) keV. On the basis of the many transitions to known states, several spin-parity assignments have been made. In addition, high-resolution proton spectra of the reaction 41K(d,p) have been taken at 20MeV deuteron energy with the München Q3D spectrometer. These data have been essential in establishing the newly-found levels and in differentiating between primary and secondary transitions in the (n, γ) work. A statistical analysis of the level density and relative strengths of primary transitions is given.  相似文献

The analogues of the low-lying levels in71Ge have been observed as resonances in the compound nucleus71As through proton elastic scattering on70Ge in the energy rangeE p=3.5 to 5.3 MeV. The excitation functions cover the analogue resonances corresponding to states upto 2.3 MeV excitation in71Ge. The sub-structures in the 5.06 MeV resonance, first observed by Temmer and co-workers have been confirmed in the present experiment. The present investigation reveals similar sub-structures in the 4.13 MeV resonance lending further support to the existence of intermediate structure near an isobaric analogue resonance. The resonance parameters and the spectroscopic factors (for the corresponding parent states) have been extracted. The results are compared with the information available from the70Ge(d, p)71Ge reaction.  相似文献

Synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectra taken at 100 eV photon energy have been measured to characterize the interface reactions of the metal-insulator-semiconductor systems Cu/RbF/GaAs(100) and Cu/RbF/Ge(100). In comparision, similar sequences are studied on the Cu/GaAs(100) and Cu/Ge(100) interfaces without the RbF interlayer. After Cu-deposition of 1–4 Å on RbF-covered (10–14 Å) GaAs and Ge surfaces, shoulder peaks appear on both the Ga 3d and Ge 3d core levels. The shoulder peaks are shifted 1.1 and 1.4 eV to higher binding energy for the Ga 3d and Ge 3d levels, respectively. The Rb 4p and F 2p peak positions are slightly shifted between 0.25 and 0.5 eV. The broad second Ga 3d and Ge 3d peaks can be correlated to plasmon loss of electrons from these levels in a two-dimensional Rb metal-like layer formed at the Cu/RbF interface. The excitation energy of a Rb surface plasmon in a Cu-Rb-RbF system is calculated to be 1.3 eV.  相似文献

The disintegration characteristics of 164mHo and 164gHo have been studied using a high-resolution Ge(Li) spectrometer. Radioactive samples of 164mHo and 164gHo were obtained through the (n, 2n) reaction on spectroscopically pure holmium oxide with 14 MeV neutrons. The isomeric cross-section ratio for the yields of the ground and metastable states has been estimated to be 1.0±0.25. Gamma rays of 37.7 and 56.1 keV energy have been assigned to the decay of 164mHo and 73.4 and 91.5 keV γ-rays are attributed to the decay of 164gHo by electron capture and negaton emission, respectively. The branching ratio for the electron capture decay of 164gHo to the levels in 164Dy has been estimated accurately from the analysis of X-ray intensities. The results have been incorporated into a decay scheme.  相似文献

After γ-γ coincidence analysis, 19 new γ transitions were identified and assigned to~(90)Nb. The new level scheme of~(90)Nb was established. The decay of the174Tm activity has been studied with Ge(Li) detectors and with a Ge(Li)—NaI(Tl) coincidence arrangement. Gamma ray energies and relative intensities were determined. Five new gamma transitions are reported, four of which have been placed in the decay scheme in addition to the previously observed but unplaced 1305 keV transition. Five energy levels at 1557.7, 1762.1, 1781.1, 1877.5 and 2050.1 keV not earlier reported to be populated in the decay of174Tm are suggested. Some spin and parity assignments are proposed and the intrinsic structure of several states is discussed in terms of two quasi-particle excitations. For the half-life of174Tm a value 5.4±0.1 min was measured.  相似文献

Mass excesses of short-lived A=2Z-1 nuclei (63)Ge, (65)As, (67)Se, and (71)Kr have been directly measured to be -46,921(37), -46,937(85), -46,580(67), and -46,320(141) keV, respectively. The deduced proton separation energy of -90(85) keV for (65)As shows that this nucleus is only slightly proton unbound. X-ray burst model calculations with the new mass excess of (65)As suggest that the majority of the reaction flow passes through (64)Ge via proton capture, indicating that (64)Ge is not a significant rp-process waiting point.  相似文献

We report an ab initio study of the electronic properties of surface dangling-bond (SDB) states in hydrogen-terminated Si and Ge nanowires with diameters between 1 and 2 nm, Ge/Si nanowire heterostructures, and Si and Ge (111) surfaces. We find that the charge transition levels epsilon(+/-) of SDB states behave as a common energy reference among Si and Ge wires and Si/Ge heterostructures, at 4.3+/-0.1 eV below the vacuum level. Calculations of epsilon(+/-) for isolated atoms indicate that this nearly constant value is a periodic-table atomic property.  相似文献

Low-energy γ-ray and conversion electron spectra from the 133Cs(n,γ)134Cs reaction have been investigated with a bent cyrstal spectrometer, β-speetrometer, Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors. Gamma-gamma coincidence measurements were made with the Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) arrangement. Gamma-gamma delayed coincidences have been studied with the use of the Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) coincidence set-up. The decay of 2.9 h 134mCs has been investigated with the prism β-spectrometer and Ge(Li) detector. The half-lives of the 176.403 and 257.112 keV levels have been measured to be 49.7 ± 0.8ns and 12.3 ± 1.1 ns respectively. The neutron binding energy Bn have been calculated to be 6891.4 ± 1.3 keV. Spin and parity assignments have been made for almost all the levels. The possible structure of the levels deduced is discussed.  相似文献

For the purpose of exploring how realistic a cluster model can be for semiconductor surfaces, extended Huckel theory calculations are performed on clusters modeling Si and Ge(111) and GaAs(110) surfaces as prototypes. Boundary conditions of the clusters are devised to be reduced. The ideal, relaxed, and reconstructed Si and Ge(111) surfaces are dealt with. Hydrogen chemisorbed (111) clusters of Si and Ge are also investigated as prototypes of chemisorption systems. Some comparison of the results with finite slab calculations and experiments is presented. The cluster-size dependence of the calculated energy levels, local densities of states, and charge distributions is examined for Si and Ge(111) clusters. It is found that a 45-atom cluster which has seven layers along the [111] direction is large enough to identify basic surface states and study the hydrogen chemisorption on Si and Ge(111) surfaces. Also, it is presented that surface states on the clean Si and Ge(111) clusters exist independent of relaxation. Further, the calculation for the relaxed GaAs(110) cluster gives the empty and filled dangling-orbital surface states comparable to experimental data and results of finite slab calculations. The cluster approach is concluded to be a highly useful and economical one for semiconductor surface problems.  相似文献

Gamma and conversion electron spectra from the 115In(n, γ)116In reaction in the energy range 20–700 keV and 20–850 keV respectively have been measured with bent crystal and magnetic spectrometers. Gamma-gamma coincidences in the energy range 50–500 keV have been investigated with Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) arrangement. Proton spectra from the 12 MeV deuteron-induced (d, p) reaction taken at the University of Pittsburgh Tandem Van de Graaf accelerator were reanalysed. The 116In level scheme consisting of 56 levels in the energy range 0–1.4 MeV has been constructed. Parity is determined for all the levels introduced. Unique spin values are assigned to 37 levels. The information obtained was used to place limits to the J-values for the rest of the levels. The main components of the wave function are established for 23 levels, considered to be components of p-n multiplets in which the proton hole and odd neutron are in in one of the Z = 28 → 50 and N = 50 → 82 shell states, respectively. Energy splittings of p-n configurations by residual interactions taken as a combination of short range Wigner and singlet forces have been calculated. It is noted that many excited states cannot be described in the framework of two-quasiparticle configurations.  相似文献

High-spin states in 101Pd have been investigated experimentally via the 76Ge(28Si,3nγ)101Pd reaction.The previously known bands based on the d5/2 and h11/2 neutron orbitals have been extended to higher-spin states,and two new structures have been observed.Spin and parity were assigned to the levels on the basis of the experimental results of the angular distribution of γ rays deexciting the oriented states.For the ground-state band,the E-GOS(E-Gamma Over Spin) curve strongly suggests a structure transition from vibration to rotation while increasing spin.  相似文献
