The dissociation of the hydroxymethyl radical, CH(2)OH, and its isotopolog, CD(2)OH, following excitation in the 4ν(1) region (OH stretch overtone, near 13,600 cm(-1)) was studied using sliced velocity map imaging. A new vibrational band near 13,660 cm(-1) arising from interaction with the antisymmetric CH stretch was discovered for CH(2)OH. In CD(2)OH dissociation, D atom products (correlated with CHDO) were detected, providing the first experimental evidence of isomerization in the CH(2)OH ? CH(3)O (CD(2)OH ? CHD(2)O) system. Analysis of the H (D) fragment kinetic energy distributions shows that the rovibrational state distributions in the formaldehyde cofragments are different for the OH bond fission and isomerization pathways. Isomerization is responsible for 10%-30% of dissociation events in all studied cases, and its contribution depends on the excited vibrational level of the radical. Accurate dissociation energies were determined: D(0)(CH(2)OH → CH(2)O + H) = 10,160 ± 70 cm(-1), D(0)(CD(2)OH → CD(2)O + H) = 10,135 ± 70 cm(-1), D(0)(CD(2)OH → CHDO + D) = 10,760 ± 60 cm(-1).  相似文献

The OH-stretch overtone spectroscopy and dynamics of the hydroxymethyl radical, CH(2)OH, are reported in the region of the second and third overtones, which is above the thermochemical threshold to dissociation to H+CH(2)O (D(0)=9600 cm(-1)). The second overtone spectrum at 10 484 cm(-1) is obtained by double resonance IR-UV resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectroscopy via the 3p(z) electronic state. It is rotationally resolved with a linewidth of 0.4 cm(-1) and displays properties of local-mode vibration. No dissociation products are observed. The third overtone spectra of CH(2)OH and CD(2)OH are observed at approximately 13 600 cm(-1) by monitoring H-atom photofragments while scanning the excitation laser frequency. No double resonance REMPI spectrum is detected, and no D fragments are produced. The spectra of both isotope analogs can be simulated with a linewidth of 1.3 cm(-1), indicating dissociation via tunneling. By treating the tunneling as one dimensional and using the calculated imaginary frequency, the barrier to dissociation is estimated at about 15 200 cm(-1), in good agreement with theoretical estimations. The Birge-Sponer plot is linear for OH-stretch vibrations 1nu(1)-4nu(1), demonstrating behavior of a one-dimensional Morse oscillator. The anharmonicity parameter derived from the plot is similar to the values obtained for other small OH containing molecules. Isomerization to methoxy does not contribute to the predissociation signal and the mechanism appears to be direct O-H fission via tunneling. CH(2)OH presents a unique example in which the reaction coordinate is excited directly and leads to predissociation via tunneling while preserving the local-mode character of the stretch vibration.

The unimolecular decomposition processes of ethylene glycol have been investigated with the QCISD(T) method with geometries optimized at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level. Among the decomposition channels identified, the H(2)O-elimination channels have the lowest barriers, and the C-C bond dissociation is the lowest-energy dissociation channel among the barrierless reactions (the direct bond cleavage reactions). The temperature and pressure dependent rate constant calculations show that the H(2)O-elimination reactions are predominant at low temperature, whereas at high temperature, the direct C-C bond dissociation reaction is dominant. At 1 atm, in the temperature range 500-2000 K, the calculated rate constant is expressed to be 7.63 × 10(47)T(-10.38) exp(-42262/T) for the channel CH(2)OHCH(2)OH → CH(2)CHOH + H(2)O, and 2.48 × 10(51)T(-11.58) exp(-43593/T) for the channel CH(2)OHCH(2)OH → CH(3)CHO + H(2)O, whereas for the direct bond dissociation reaction CH(2)OHCH(2)OH → CH(2)OH + CH(2)OH the rate constant expression is 1.04 × 10(71)T(-16.16) exp(-52414/T).  相似文献

The reactions of C2-, C4-, and C6- with D2O and ND3 and of C4- with CH3OH, CH4, and C2H6 have been investigated using guided ion beam tandem mass spectrometry. Hydrogen (or deuterium) atom transfer is the major product channel for each of the reactions. The reaction threshold energies for collisional activation are reported. Several of the reactions exhibit threshold energies in excess of the reaction endothermicity. Potential energy calculations using density functional theory show energy barriers for some of the reactions. Dynamic restrictions related to multiple wells along the reaction path may also contribute to elevated threshold energies. The results indicate that the reactions with D2O have the smallest excess threshold energies, which may therefore be used to derive lower limits on the C-H bond dissociation energies of the C2nH- and C2nH (n = 1-3) linear species. The experimental lower limits for the bond dissociation energies of the neutral radicals to linear products are D0(C2-H) >or= 460 +/- 15 kJ/mol, D0(C4-H) >or= 427 +/- 12 kJ/mol, and D0(C6-H) >or= 405 +/- 11 kJ/mol.  相似文献

A full-dimensional, ab initio based potential energy surface (PES) for CH(5)(+), which can describe dissociation is reported. The PES is a precise fit to 36173 coupled-cluster [CCSD(T)] calculations of electronic energies done using an aug-cc-pVTZ basis. The fit uses a polynomial basis that is invariant with respect to permutation of the five H atoms, and thus describes all 120 equivalent minima. The rms fitting error is 78.1 cm(-1) for the entire data set of energies up to 30,000 cm(-1) and a normal-mode analysis of CH(5)(+) also verifies the accuracy of the fit. Two saddle points have been located on the surface as well and compared with previous theoretical work. The PES dissociates correctly to the fragments CH(3)(+) + H(2) and the equilibrium geometry and normal-mode analyses of these fragments are also presented. Diffusion Monte Carlo calculations are done for the zero-point energies of CH(5)(+) (and some isotopologs) as well as for the separated fragments of CH(5)(+), CH(3)(+) + H(2) and those of CH(4)D(+), CH(3)(+) + HD and CH(2)D(+) + H(2). Values of D(0) are reported for these dissociations. A molecular dynamics calculation of CH(4)D(+) dissociation at one total energy is also performed to both validate the applicability of the PES for dynamics studies as well as to test a simple classical statistical prediction of the branching ratio of the dissociation products.  相似文献

The reflected shock tube technique with multipass absorption spectrometric detection of OH radicals at 308 nm (corresponding to a total path length of approximately 4.9 m) has been used to study the dissociation of methanol between 1591 and 2865 K. Rate constants for two product channels [CH3OH + Kr --> CH3 + OH + Kr (1) and CH3OH + Kr --> 1CH2 + H2O + Kr (2)] were determined. During the course of the study, it was necessary to determine several other rate constants that contributed to the profile fits. These include OH + CH3OH --> products, OH + (CH3)2CO --> CH2COCH3 + H2O, and OH + CH3 --> 1,3CH2 + H2O. The derived expressions, in units of cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), are k(1) = 9.33 x 10(-9) exp(-30857 K/T) for 1591-2287 K, k(2) = 3.27 x 10(-10) exp(-25946 K/T) for 1734-2287 K, kOH+CH3OH = 2.96 x 10-16T1.4434 exp(-57 K/T) for 210-1710 K, k(OH+(CH3)(2)CO) = (7.3 +/- 0.7) x 10(-12) for 1178-1299 K and k(OH+CH3) = (1.3 +/- 0.2) x 10(-11) for 1000-1200 K. With these values along with other well-established rate constants, a mechanism was used to obtain profile fits that agreed with experiment to within <+/-10%. The values obtained for reactions 1 and 2 are compared with earlier determinations and also with new theoretical calculations that are presented in the preceding article in this issue. These new calculations are in good agreement with the present data for both (1) and (2) and also for OH + CH3 --> products.  相似文献

The complex potential energy surface and reaction mechanisms for the unimolecular isomerization and decomposition of methyl-nitramine (CH3NHNO2) were theoretically probed at the QCISD(T)/6-311+G*//B3LYP/6-311+G* level of theory. The results demonstrated that there are four low-lying energy channels: (i) the NN bond fission pathway; (ii) a sequence of isomerization reactions via CH3NN(OH)O; (IS2a); (iii) the HONO elimination pathway; (iv) the isomerization and the dissociation reactions via CH3NHONO (IS3). The rate constants of each initial step (rate-determining step) for these channels were calculated using the canonical transition state theory. The Arrhenius expressions of the channels over the temperature range 298-2000 K are k6(T)=1014:8e-46:0=RT , k7(T)=1013:7e-42:1=RT , k8(T)=1013:6e-51:8=RT and k9(T)=1015:6e-54:3=RT s-1, respectively. The calculated overall rate constants is 6.9£10-4 at 543 K, which is in good agreement with the experimental data. Based on the analysis of the rate constants, the dominant pathway is the isomerization reaction to form CH3NN(OH)O at low temperatures, while the NN bond fission and the isomerization reaction to produce CH3NHONO are expected to be competitive with the isomerization reaction to form CH3NN(OH)O at high temperatures.  相似文献

The bicoordinated dihydroxyphosphenium ion P(OH)2+ (1+) was generated specifically by charge-exchange dissociative ionization of triethylphosphite and its connectivity was confirmed by collision induced dissociation and neutralization-reionization mass spectra. The major dissociation of 1+ forming PO+ ions at m/z 47 involved another isomer, O=P-OH2+ (2+), for which the optimized geometry showed a long P-OH2 bond. Dissociative 70-eV electron ionization of diethyl phosphite produced mostly 1+ together with a less stable isomer, HP(O)OH+ (3+). Ion 2+ is possibly co-formed with 1+ upon dissociative 70-eV electron ionization of methylphosphonic acid. Neutralization-reionization of 1+ confirmed that P(OH)2* (1) was a stable species. Dissociations of neutral 1, as identified by variable-time measurements, involved rate-determining isomerization to 2 followed by fast loss of water. A competitive loss of H occurs from long-lived excited states of 1 produced by vertical electron transfer. The A and B states undergo rate-determining internal conversion to vibrationally highly excited ground state that loses an H atom via two competing mechanisms. The first of these is the direct cleavage of one of the O-H bonds in 1. The other is an isomerization to 3 followed by cleavage of the P-H bond to form O=P-OH as a stable product. The relative, dissociation, and transition state energies for the ions and neutrals were studied by ab initio and density functional theory calculations up to the QCISD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p) and CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVTZ levels of theory. RRKM calculations were performed to investigate unimolecular dissociation kinetics of 1. Excited state geometries and energies were investigated by a combination of configuration interaction singles and time-dependent density functional theory calculations.  相似文献

We use a combination of crossed laser-molecular beam experiments and velocity map imaging experiments to investigate the primary photofission channels of chloroacetone at 193 nm; we also probe the dissociation dynamics of the nascent CH(3)C(O)CH(2) radicals formed from C-Cl bond fission. In addition to the C-Cl bond fission primary photodissociation channel, the data evidence another photodissociation channel of the precursor, C-C bond fission to produce CH(3)CO and CH(2)Cl. The CH(3)C(O)CH(2) radical formed from C-Cl bond fission is one of the intermediates in the OH + allene reaction en route to CH(3) + ketene. The 193 nm photodissociation laser allows us to produce these CH(3)C(O)CH(2) radicals with enough internal energy to span the dissociation barrier leading to the CH(3) + ketene asymptote. Therefore, some of the vibrationally excited CH(3)C(O)CH(2) radicals undergo subsequent dissociation to CH(3) + ketene products; we are able to measure the velocities of these products using both the imaging and scattering apparatuses. The results rule out the presence of a significant contribution from a C-C bond photofission channel that produces CH(3) and COCH(2)Cl fragments. The CH(3)C(O)CH(2) radicals are formed with a considerable amount of energy partitioned into rotation; we use an impulsive model to explicitly characterize the internal energy distribution. The data are better fit by using the C-Cl bond fission transition state on the S(1) surface of chloroacetone as the geometry at which the impulsive force acts, not the Franck-Condon geometry. Our data suggest that, even under atmospheric conditions, the reaction of OH with allene could produce a small branching to CH(3) + ketene products, rather than solely producing inelastically stabilized adducts. This additional channel offers a different pathway for the OH-initiated oxidation of such unsaturated volatile organic compounds, those containing a C=C=C moiety, than is currently included in atmospheric models.  相似文献

We present the results of our product branching studies of the OH + C(2)D(4) reaction, beginning at the CD(2)CD(2)OH radical intermediate of the reaction, which is generated by the photodissociation of the precursor molecule BrCD(2)CD(2)OH at 193 nm. Using a crossed laser-molecular beam scattering apparatus with tunable photoionization detection, and a velocity map imaging apparatus with VUV photoionization, we detect the products of the major primary photodissociation channel (Br and CD(2)CD(2)OH), and of the secondary dissociation of vibrationally excited CD(2)CD(2)OH radicals (OH, C(2)D(4)/CD(2)O, C(2)D(3), CD(2)H, and CD(2)CDOH). We also characterize two additional photodissociation channels, which generate HBr + CD(2)CD(2)O and DBr + CD(2)CDOH, and measure the branching ratio between the C-Br bond fission, HBr elimination, and DBr elimination primary photodissociation channels as 0.99:0.0064:0.0046. The velocity distribution of the signal at m/e = 30 upon 10.5 eV photoionization allows us to identify the signal from the vinyl (C(2)D(3)) product, assigned to a frustrated dissociation toward OH + ethene followed by D-atom abstraction. The relative amount of vinyl and Br atom signal shows the quantum yield of this HDO + C(2)D(3) product channel is reduced by a factor of 0.77 ± 0.33 from that measured for the undeuterated system. However, because the vibrational energy distribution of the deuterated radicals is lower than that of the undeuterated radicals, the observed reduction in the water + vinyl product quantum yield likely reflects the smaller fraction of radicals that dissociate in the deuterated system, not the effect of quantum tunneling. We compare these results to predictions from statistical transition state theory and prior classical trajectory calculations on the OH + ethene potential energy surface that evidenced a roaming channel to produce water + vinyl products and consider how the branching to the water + vinyl channel might be sensitive to the angular momentum of the β-hydroxyethyl radicals.  相似文献

CH and OH bond dissociation energies were calculated by the spectroscopic and quantum-chemical methods for aldehydes, ketones, acids, and alcohols. The spectroscopic values of CH and OH bond dissociation energies were obtained from the fundamental absorption bands by the variational method in an anharmonic approximation using the Morse-anharmonic basis set. Quantum-chemical calculations were carried out using the 6-311G(3df,3pd)/B3LYP basis set. It is discussed how the bond dissociation energies change with the structure of the molecule.  相似文献

The dissociative photoionization of energy selected methanol isotopologue (CH(3)OH, CD(3)OH, CH(3)OD and CD(3)OD) cations was investigated using imaging Photoelectron Photoion Coincidence (iPEPICO) spectroscopy. The first dissociation is an H/D-atom loss from the carbon, also confirmed by partial deuteration. Somewhat above 12 eV, a parallel H(2)-loss channel weakly asserts itself. At photon energies above 15 eV, in a consecutive hydrogen molecule loss to the first H-atom loss, the formation of CHO(+)/CDO(+) dominates as opposed to COH(+)/COD(+) formation. We see little evidence for H-atom scrambling in these processes. In the photon energy range corresponding to the B[combining tilde] and C[combining tilde] ion states, a hydroxyl radical loss appears yielding CH(3)(+)/CD(3)(+). Based on the branching ratios, statistical considerations and ab initio calculations, this process is confirmed to take place on the first electronically excited ?(2)A' ion state. Uncharacteristically, internal conversion is outcompeted by unimolecular dissociation due to the apparently weak Renner-Teller-like coupling between the X[combining tilde] and the ? ion states. The experimental 0 K appearance energies of the ions CH(2)OH(+), CD(2)OH(+), CH(2)OD(+) and CD(2)OD(+) are measured to be 11.646 ± 0.003 eV, 11.739 ± 0.003 eV, 11.642 ± 0.003 eV and 11.737 ± 0.003 eV, respectively. The E(0)(CH(2)OH(+)) = 11.6454 ± 0.0017 eV was obtained based on the independently measured isotopologue results and calculated zero point effects. The 0 K heat of formation of CH(2)OH(+), protonated formaldehyde, was determined to be 717.7 ± 0.7 kJ mol(-1). This yields a 0 K heat of formation of CH(2)OH of -11.1 ± 0.9 kJ mol(-1) and an experimental 298 K proton affinity of formaldehyde of 711.6 ± 0.8 kJ mol(-1). The reverse barrier to homonuclear H(2)-loss from CH(3)OH(+) is determined to be 36 kJ mol(-1), whereas for heteronuclear H(2)-loss from CH(2)OH(+) it is found to be 210 kJ mol(-1).  相似文献

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy has been employed to study the surface intermediates from the thermal decomposition of HSCH2CH2OH on Cu(111) at elevated temperatures. On the basis of the changes of the core-level binding energies of C, O, and S as a function of temperature, it is found that HSCH2CH2OH decomposes sequentially to form -SCH2CH2OH and -SCH2CH2O-. Theoretical calculations based on density functional theory for an unreconstructed one-layer copper surface suggest that -SCH2CH2OH is preferentially bonded at a 3-fold hollow site, with an adsorption energy lower than the cases at bridging and atop sites by 15.6 and 47.5 kcal x mol(-1), respectively. Other structural characteristics for the energy-optimized geometry includes the tilted C-S bond (14.1 degrees with respect to the surface normal), the C-C bond titled toward a bridging site, and the C-O bond pointed toward the surface. In the case of -SCH2CH2O- on Cu(111), the calculations suggest that the most probable geometry of the adsorbate has its S and O bonded at hollow and bridging sites, respectively. With respect to the surface normal, the angles of the S-C and O-C are 27.9 and 34.0 degrees.  相似文献

This work investigates the unimolecular dissociation of the 2-buten-2-yl radical. This radical has three potentially competing reaction pathways: C-C fission to form CH3 + propyne, C-H fission to form H + 1,2-butadiene, and C-H fission to produce H + 2-butyne. The experiments were designed to probe the branching to the three unimolecular dissociation pathways of the radical and to test theoretical predictions of the relevant dissociation barriers. Our crossed laser-molecular beam studies show that 193 nm photolysis of 2-chloro-2-butene produces 2-buten-2-yl in the initial photolytic step. A minor C-Cl bond fission channel forms electronically excited 2-buten-2-yl radicals and the dominant C-Cl bond fission channel produces ground-state 2-buten-2-yl radicals with a range of internal energies that spans the barriers to dissociation of the radical. Detection of the stable 2-buten-2-yl radicals allows a determination of the translational, and therefore internal, energy that marks the onset of dissociation of the radical. The experimental determination of the lowest-energy dissociation barrier gave 31 +/- 2 kcal/mol, in agreement with the 32.8 +/- 2 kcal/mol barrier to C-C fission at the G3//B3LYP level of theory. Our experiments detected products of all three dissociation channels of unstable 2-buten-2-yl as well as a competing HCl elimination channel in the photolysis of 2-chloro-2-butene. The results allow us to benchmark electronic structure calculations on the unimolecular dissociation reactions of the 2-buten-2-yl radical as well as the CH3 + propyne and H + 1,2-butadiene bimolecular reactions. They also allow us to critique prior experimental work on the H + 1,2-butadiene reaction.  相似文献

Using a recent, full-dimensional, ab initio potential energy surface [Y. Wang, X. Huang, B. C. Shepler, B. J. Braams, and J. M. Bowman, J. Chem. Phys. 134, 094509 (2011)] together with rigorous diffusion Monte Carlo calculations of the zero-point energy of the water trimer, we report dissociation energies, D(0), to form one monomer plus the water dimer and three monomers. The calculations make use of essentially exact zero-point energies for the water trimer, dimer, and monomer, and benchmark values of the electronic dissociation energies, D(e), of the water trimer [J. A. Anderson, K. Crager, L. Fedoroff, and G. S. Tschumper, J. Chem. Phys. 121, 11023 (2004)]. The D(0) results are 3855 and 2726 cm(-1) for the 3H(2)O and H(2)O + (H(2)O)(2) dissociation channels, respectively, and 4206 and 2947 cm(-1) for 3D(2)O and D(2)O + (D(2)O)(2) dissociation channels, respectively. The results have estimated uncertainties of 20 and 30 cm(-1) for the monomer plus dimer and three monomer of dissociation channels, respectively.  相似文献

Infrared photodissociation spectra of Al(+)(CH(3)OH)(n) (n = 1-4) and Al(+)(CH(3)OH)(n)-Ar (n = 1-3) were measured in the OH stretching region, 3000-3800 cm(-1). For n = 1 and 2, sharp absorption bands were observed in the free OH stretching region, all of which were well reproduced by the spectra calculated for the solvated-type geometry with no hydrogen bond. For n = 3 and 4, there were broad vibrational bands in the energy region of hydrogen-bonded OH stretching vibrations, 3000-3500 cm(-1). Energies of possible isomers for the Al(+)(CH(3)OH)(3),4 ions with hydrogen bonds were calculated in order to assign these bands. It was found that the third and fourth methanol molecules form hydrogen bonds with methanol molecules in the first solvation shell, rather than a direct bonding with the Al(+) ion. For the Al(+)(CH(3)OH)(n) clusters with n = 1-4, we obtained no evidence of the insertion reaction, which occurs in Al(+)(H(2)O)(n). One possible explanation of the difference between these two systems is that the potential energy barriers between the solvated and inserted isomers in the Al(+)(CH(3)OH)(n) system is too high to form the inserted-type isomers.  相似文献

We have investigated the photocatalysis of partially deuterated methanol (CD(3)OH) and H(2)O on TiO(2)(110) at 400 nm using a newly developed photocatalysis apparatus in combination with theoretical calculations. Photocatalyzed products, CD(2)O on Ti(5c) sites, and H and D atoms on bridge-bonded oxygen (BBO) sites from CD(3)OH have been clearly detected, while no evidence of H(2)O photocatalysis was found. The experimental results show that dissociation of CD(3)OH on TiO(2)(110) occurs in a stepwise manner in which the O-H dissociation proceeds first and is then followed by C-D dissociation. Theoretical calculations indicate that the high reverse barrier to C-D recombination and the facile desorption of CD(2)O make photocatalytic methanol dissociation on TiO(2)(110) proceed efficiently. Theoretical results also reveal that the reverse reactions, i.e, O-H recombination after H(2)O photocatalytic dissociation on TiO(2)(110), may occur easily, thus inhibiting efficient photocatalytic water splitting.  相似文献

The photodissociation of isotope-labeled toluene C(6)H(5)CD(3) and C(6)H(5)(13)CH(3) molecules at 6.4 eV under collision-free conditions was studied in separate experiments by multimass ion imaging techniques. In addition to the major dissociation channels, C(6)H(5)CD(3) --> C(6)H(5)CD(2) + D and C(6)H(5)CD(3) --> C(6)H(5) + CD(3), the respective photofragments CD(2)H, CDH(2), and CH(3) and their heavy fragment partners C(6)H(4)D, C(6)H(3)D(2), and C(6)H(2)D(3) were observed from C(6)H(5)CD(3) dissociation. Photofragments (13)CH(3) and CH(3), and their heavy fragment partners C(6)H(5) and (13)CC(5)H(5), were also observed from C(6)H(5)(13)CH(3) dissociation. Our results show that 25% of the excited toluene isomerizes to a seven-membered ring (cycloheptatriene) and then rearomatizes prior to dissociation. The isomerization pathway competes with direct C-C bond and C-H bond dissociation. The significance of this isomerization is that the carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms belonging to the alkyl group are involved in an exchange with those atoms in the aromatic ring during isomerization. The dissociation rate of toluene at 193 nm is measured to be (1.17 +/- 0.1) x 10(6) s(-)(1).  相似文献

The potential energy surface (PES) of the CH3OH system has been characterized by ab initio molecular orbital theory calculations at the G2M level of theory. The mechanisms for the decomposition of CH3OH and the related bimolecular reactions, CH3 + OH and 1CH2 + H2O, have been elucidated. The rate constants for these processes have been calculated using variational RRKM theory and compared with available experimental data. The total decomposition rate constants of CH3OH at the high- and low-pressure limits can be represented by k infinity = 1.56 x 10(16) exp(-44,310/T) s-1 and kAr0 = 1.60 x 10(36) T-12.2 exp(-48,140/T) cm3 molecule-1 s-1, respectively, covering the temperature range 1000-3000 K, in reasonable agreement with the experimental values. Our results indicate that the product branching ratios are strongly pressure dependent, with the production of CH3 + OH and 1CH2 + H2O dominant under high (P > 10(3) Torr) and low (P < 1 atm) pressures, respectively. For the bimolecular reaction of CH3 and OH, the total rate constant and the yields of 1CH2 + H2O and H2 + HCOH at lower pressures (P < 5 Torr) could be reasonably accounted for by the theory. For the reaction of 1CH2 with H2O, both the yield of CH3 + OH and the total rate constant could also be satisfactorily predicted theoretically. The production of 3CH2 + H2O by the singlet to triplet surface crossing, predicted to occur at 4.3 kcal mol-1 above the H2C...OH2 van der Waals complex (which lies 82.7 kcal mol-1 above CH3OH), was neglected in our calculations.  相似文献
