The local existence and local asymptotic stability of nontrivial p-periodic solutions of p-periodically forced discrete systems are proven using Liapunov-Schmidt methods. The periodic solutions bifurcate transcritically from the trivial solution at the critical value n=ncr of the bifurcation parameter with a typical exchange of stability. If the trivial solution loses (gains) stability as n is increased through ncr , then the periodic solutions on the nontrivial bifurcating branch are locally asymptotically stable if and only if they correspond to n>ncr (n ncr ).  相似文献

The existance of nontrivial (x=0( periodic solutions of a general class of periodic nonlinear difference equations is proved using bifurcation theory methods. Specifically, the existance of a global continuum of nontrivial periodicsolutions that bifurcates from the trivial solution (x=0) is proved. Conditions are given under which the nontrivial solutions are positive. A prerrequisite Fredholm and adjoint operator theory for linear periodic systems is developed. In this paper, we study the existence of multibump solutions for discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations with periodic potentials. We first reduce the existence of multibump homoclinic solutions to the existence of an isolated homoclinic solution with a nontrivial critical group. Then, we study the existence of homoclinics with nontrivial critical groups for both superlinear and asymptotically linear discrete periodic nonlinear Schrödinger equations, and we provide simple sufficient conditions for the existence of homoclinics with nontrivial critical groups in the positive definite case. As an application, we get, without any symmetry assumptions, infinitely many geometrically distinct homoclinic solutions with exponential decay at infinity.  相似文献

A periodic predator–prey-chain system with impulsive effects is considered. By using the global results of Rabinowitz and standard techniques of bifurcation theory, the existence of its trivial, semi-trivial and nontrivial positive periodic solutions is obtained. It is shown that the nontrivial positive periodic solution for such a system may be bifurcated from an unstable semi-trivial periodic solution. The main result of the paper concerns the existence of nontrivial exponentially decaying solutions to periodic stationary discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations with saturable nonlinearities, provided that zero belongs to a spectral gap of the linear part. The proof is based on the critical point theory in combination with periodic approximations of solutions. As a preliminary step, we prove also the existence of nontrivial periodic solutions with arbitrarily large periods.  相似文献

In this paper, the flip bifurcation and periodic doubling bifurcations of a discrete population model without delay influence is firstly studied and the phenomenon of Feigenbaum’s cascade of periodic doublings is also observed. Secondly, we explored the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation in the delay population model (two-dimension discrete dynamical systems) and the unique stable closed invariant curve which bifurcates from the nontrivial fixed point. Finally, a computer-assisted study for the delay population model is also delved into. Our computer simulation shows that the introduction of delay effect in a nonlinear difference equation derived from the logistic map leads to much richer dynamic behavior, such as stable node → stable focus → an lower-dimensional closed invariant curve (quasi-periodic solution, limit cycle) or/and stable periodic solutions → chaotic attractor by cascading bubbles (the combination of potential period doubling and reverse period-doubling) and the sudden change between two different attractors, etc.  相似文献

We study a nonlinear periodic problem driven by the p(t)-Laplacian and having a nonsmooth potential (hemivariational inequalities). Using a variational method based on nonsmooth critical point theory for locally Lipschitz functions, we first prove the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions under the generalized subquadratic and then establish the existence of at least one nontrivial solution under the generalized superquadratic.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the optimal model reduction for linear discrete periodic time-varying systems and digital filters. Specifically, for a given stable periodic time-varying model, we shall seek a lower order periodic time-varying model to approximate the original model in an optimal H 2 norm sense. By orthogonal projections of the original model, we convert the optimal periodic model reduction problem into an unconstrained optimization problem. Two effective algorithms are then developed to solve the optimization problem. The algorithms ensure that the H 2 cost decreases monotonically and converges to an optimal (local) solution. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the computational efficiency of the proposed method. The present paper extends the optimal model reduction for linear time invariant systems to linear periodic discrete time-varying systems.  相似文献

In this paper, the bifurcation of nontrivial periodic solutions for an impulsively perturbed system of ordinary differential equations which models an integrated pest management strategy is studied by means of a fixed point approach. A biological control, consisting in the periodic release of infective pests, and a chemical control, consisting in pesticide spraying, are employed to maintain susceptible pests below an acceptable level. It is assumed that the biological and chemical control act with the same periodicity, but not in the same time. It is then shown that if the constant amount of infective pests released each time reaches a certain threshold value, then the trivial susceptible pest-eradication periodic solution loses its stability, which is transferred to a newly emerging nontrivial periodic solution.  相似文献

In this paper, a biochemical model with the impulsive perturbations is considered. By using the Floquet theorem, we find the boundary-periodic solution is asymptotically stable if the impulsive period is larger than a critical value. On the contrary, it is unstable if the impulsive period is less than the critical value. The problem of finding nontrivial periodic solutions is reduced to showing the existence of the nontrivial fixed points for the associated stroboscopic mapping of time snapshot equal to the common period of input. It is then shown that once a threshold condition is reached, a stable nontrivial periodic solution emerges via a supercritical bifurcation. Furthermore, influences of the impulsive input on the inherent oscillations are studied numerically, which shows the rich dynamics in the positive octant.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a stochastic SIQR epidemic model with periodic parameters and media coverage. Firstly, we study that the stochastic non-autonomous periodic system has a unique global positive solution. Secondly, by using the Khasminskii''s theory, we prove that this stochastic periodic system has a nontrivial positive periodic solution. Then, we obtain the sufficient condition for extinction of the disease. Finally, numerical simulations are employed to illustrate our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The modelling of the spread of infectious disease is carried out for time t on a measure chain T. Our approach unifies the continuous case and the discrete case . The model is described by the integral equation
where x(t) represents the proportion of the population infected at time t, f(t,x(t)) denotes the proportion of the population newly infected per unit time, and τ is the length of time an individual remains infectious. Using the measure chain calculus, we shall develop criteria for the existence of a nontrivial and nonnegative periodic solution for the modelling equation. The criteria can be implemented numerically, for this we shall give an algorithm as well as illustrative examples.  相似文献
