States of 72As, excited through the 70Ge(α, np) and 72Ge(α, 3np) reactions at Eα = 30 to 55 MeV, were studied. Excitation functions, γ-ray angular distributions, γ-γ coincidences and γ-time distributions with respect to the beam bursts, were determined. Five excited states are identified with levels previously observed with the (p, n) reaction. In addition seven new levels and their decay pattern are incorporated into a level scheme. A half-life of 17 ± 3 nsec was determined for the 309.8 keV state, and evidence for the existence of a long-lived state (>100 nsec) was obtained. A simple scheme based on simple particle shell-model configurations accounts for the gross properties of the low lying levels. While definite spin and parity assignment for the upper excited states require further measurements, tentative spin values up to 7 are obtained.  相似文献

The afterglow intensity of 5 selected sections of the VUV spectrum of an Argon discharge is measured as a function of time (0–50 μs) after a discharge pulse. The decay behavior of theλ=104.8 nm andλ=106.7 nm resonance lines can be interpreted from the assumption of binary encounters of metastable Ar atoms with eachother and with other partners. Two continua nearλ=108 nm andλ=125 nm are due to decays of excited Ar2 molecular states. The observed Ly-α radiation of hydrogen is explained in terms of the model of Bertschingeret al [1]. The results contribute to a clarification of the theoretical concepts concerning gas discharges in Argon.  相似文献

In an experiment at the LISE3 facility of GANIL, we used the projectile fragmentation of a 36Ar primary beam at 95 MeV/nucleon to produce the isotope 24Si. The beta decay half-life of 24Si has been determined to be T1/2 = (140 ± 8) ms, in agreement with earlier measurements. In addition to the decay of the isobaric analog state, several proton peaks are observed for the first time allowing to identify most of the Gamow-Teller transitions to unbound states and to present a partial decay scheme for 24Si. These results are compared with shell-model predictions.  相似文献

The decay of121 g+m In to the excited states of121Sn was investigated.121In was produced by the122Sn(γ,p)121In reaction on an enriched SnO2 target. Strong indications of the isomeric transition of 321 keV to the121In ground state were found. In the beta decay of121m In excited states at 60.1, 908.9, 1101.9, 1120.4, 1403.0, 2864.1, 3119.8 and 3228 keV in121Sn withJ π values 1/2+, 3/2(5/2)+, 3/2+, 5/2+, 5/2+ and 1/2+ or 3/2+ for the three levels around 3 MeV, are fed. In the decay of the121In ground state only the 7/2+ level in121Sn at 925.3 keV is fed.  相似文献

Selective laser excitation was used to measure the radiative lifetimes of the ZnI triplet states 4sns 3 S 1(n=5–7) and 4snd 3 D 3,3 D 2 and3 D 1(n=4–6). These states were excited from the metastable 4s4p 3 P states, which were collisionally populated in an atomic beam. The values are compared with the results of other experimental methods (beam-foil, pulsed electron excitation, Hanle effect) and with theoretical calculations. The corresponding oscillator strengths are discussed with respect to the astrophysical determination of the Zn photospheric abundance.  相似文献

The optical excitation functions (OEFs) for two series of spectral lines of the Cd atom originating from the 5sns 1 S 0 (n = 6?11) and 5snd 3 D 1, 2, 3 (n = 5 and 6) levels excited by an ultramonoenergetic (ΔE 1/2 < 0.05 eV) electron beam with energies exceeding the single ionization threshold are presented. In the energy range from 10.8 to 12.9 eV, the energy dependences of the excitation cross sections of the studied spectral transitions exhibit the effect of postcollision interaction of slow scattered and fast emitted electrons. This process leads to an additional population of the initial levels of the spectral transitions due to the capture of a scattered electron into an excited atomic level. The energies and widths of the electronic decay of autoionizing states are estimated in the classical approach by two methods, namely, by the least squares method and by direct calculation. Calculations are performed using approximate formulas valid for different relations between the postcollision shifts of the OEF maxima and the binding energies of the atomic levels. The terms of the autoionizing atomic states responsible for the maxima observed in the OEFs of the spectral transitions are determined.  相似文献

Using the recoil distance Doppler shift method, we measured the lifetime of the 2755 keV 15/2? state in43Ca populated in the reaction28Si(180,2p n) to beΤ=39 ±5 ps. We also remeasured the lifetime of the 2751 keV 4+ state in42Ca excited in the reaction28Si(16O,2p) to beΤ=3.8±0.4ps. Effective charges derived fromE2 transition between (f 7/2)v high-spin states are discussed.  相似文献

The radiative lifetime of the 4s 5s (3S1) level in Ca was measured using two-step excitation of atoms in a beam which traverses a cold-cathode Penning discharge, where, by electron impact the atoms are excited to the metastable 4s 5p (3P2, 1, 0) states. Immediately thereafter, the beam is crossed with a pulse-modulated cw dye laser beam to populate the final state selectively. Using a pulse-modulation frequency of 0.5 MHz, a preliminary value of 12.4 ± 0.5 ns was obtained with a statistical error of 0.4%. The wide limits of systematic error reflect an assumed uncertainty in the excitation function and possible distortion in the fluorescence decay requiring further study.  相似文献

[Theg-factor ratio of the first excited 3? and 5? states in40Ca was measured to beg 3/g 5=1.01(10) employing the implantation perturbed angular correlation technique. The static hyperfine fields (SF) in Fe and Gd hosts were used. In addition the lifetime of the 5? state was measured to be τ=426(7)ps. The values of the SF in Gd and Fe hosts were deduced and compared with systematics in this element region.  相似文献

The decay of mass separated145Cs (T 1/2= 0.59 s) was studied. Singles gamma and electron spectra were investigated using Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors. A level scheme for145Ba based on the application of energy sum relations is proposed. The β-branching and logft values for the ground and excited states were deduced from the analysis of γ +ce ? intensity balances. Spin and parity assignments based on transition multipolarities are proposed.  相似文献

The excited states of 14260Nd82 have been studied using the 140Ce(α, 2nγ)142Nd and 142Ce(α, 4γ)142Nd reactions. Singles γ-ray, γ-γ coincidence spectra and angular distributions of γ-rays with respect to the beam direction have been measured. Excited states up to 6.7 MeV with spin values up to 14 are populated. The energy spacings between the lower excited states with spin values up to 8 are similar to those found in the lighter N = 82, even-Z isotones. The majority of the observed states with spin values up to 10 can be explained as two-quasiparticle states. Several of the highest-spin states can be explained qualitatively as fourquasiparticle states. Strong population of the highest excited states (at about 5.7 MeV) is noted, like in other N = 82 isotones. The observed levels in 142Nd are compared with the shell model predictions using a simple δ-force interaction between two nucleons.  相似文献

The decay of119g+m In to the excited states of119Sn was investigated.119In was produced by the120Sn(γ,p)119In reaction on an enriched SnO2 target. The isomeric transition of 311.25 keV to the119In ground state was observed. In the beta decay of119m In excited states at 23.9, 920.5, 921.4, 1089.0, 1187.9 and 1249.6keV in119Sn withJ π values of 3/2+, 3/2+, 5/2+, 5/2+, 3/2+ and 1/2+ respectively, are fed. In the decay of the119In ground state only the 7/2+ level in119Sn at 787.0 keV is fed.  相似文献

Proton gamma angular correlations through the 6.76 and 8.92 MeV excited states of B11 are measured at deuteron bombarding energies from 1.6 to 2.4 MeV. The correlations are measured at laboratory proton scattering angles 35? in both reaction and azimuthal planes. The correlation coefficientA 2 0 and the distortion parameterλ are calculated. A systematic shift of the symmetry axis from the recoil direction is observed. This shift tends to zero asE dQ. For the 8.92 MeV excited state of B11(Q=0.32 MeV) the distortion parameterλ is close to the plane wave limit. The possible values of incoming channel spins as well as gamma-ray multipole mixing ratio for the 6.76 and 8.92 MeV states are obtained.  相似文献

Highly excited levels of33S populated by α-particle capture in29Si have been investigated forE α=1.962 MeV to 4.287 MeV. Excitation curves measured with Ge(Li) and BF3 detectors are reported. More than fifty resonances can be identified with levels in33S. (α, γ) angular distributions measured on five strong resonances have yieldedJ π values 1/2+, 3/2 +, 5/2?, 5/2?, 5/2? and 3/2+ respectively, for theE x =10.054, 10.466, 10.523, 10.721, 10.758 and 10.776 MeV levels in33S. Elastic scattering experiments have been performed and theJ π assignments are found to be consistent with thel-values inferred from the elastic scattering data. Decay schemes from the above33S levels have been proposed. A new level at 9.245 MeV is also suggested and theJ π values for the 4.425 and 2.87 MeV states are shown to be consistent with 7/2+ and 3/2+ assignment, respectively. We have investigated the decay of123g+mIn to excited states of123Sn.123In was produced by the124Sn(y,p)123In reaction on an enriched SnO2 target. The isomeric transition to the123In ground state was not observed. In the beta decay of123m In excited states at 24, 150.9, 920.5, 1194, 2621, 3151, 3256 and 3306 keV in123Sn withJπ values 3/2+, 1/2+, (5/2+), 5/2+, 1/2+, (1/2+, 3/2+), 3/2+ and (l/2+, 3/2+), are fed. In the β decay of the121In ground state only the 7/2+ level at 1154 keV in123Sn is observed.  相似文献

Transient field precession measurements have been performed on the first excited Jπ = 2+ states of 28Si and 30Si with the IMPAC technique on recoil in magnetized iron. The results were analyzed with empirically adjusted Lindhard-Winther predictions. This yields g-factors of g = +0.56 ± 0.09 and g = +0.56 ± 0.16 for28Si and 30Si, respectively. In the present cases the influence of static hyperfine fields is negligible due to the very short mean lives for 28Si and 30Si of 0.68 and 0.35 ps, respectively. The results are compared with theoretical calculations. Previous results for 26Mg(21+) were reanalyzed with the more recent lifetime of τm = 0.72 ± 0.03 ps. The value of the g-factor becomes g = +0.82 ± 0.16.  相似文献

The decay pathways of the structured ionization region of oxygen at different momentum transfers,i.e.,0,0.23 a.u.(atomic unit),and 0.91 a.u.,are studied by measuring the ion and the scattered electron coincidently.It is found that the dipole-forbidden superexcited states of(2σu)-1(c4Σu-)npσu 3Σg-← X3Σg-decay into different channels according to the principal quantum number n.The broad ridge above 35 eV,which may be due to inner-valence excited states of(2σg)-1nλ or multiply excited states,is observed both at small and large momentum transfers,and its decay channel of O++ O is dominant.  相似文献

A fast-timing setup has been developed to measure the nuclear-state half-lives of neutron-rich nuclei. The first on-line measurements were performed on 137, 139Cs obtained from the β decay of 137, 139Xe. These neutron-rich Xe nuclei were produced by the 238U photofission induced by the 50MeV electron beam delivered by the ALTO facility. The half-lives of the first excited state in 137Cs and of six excited states in 139Cs were measured for the first time. Taking into account new information given by the deduced transition probabilities, we discuss the structure of the first excited states in 137, 139Cs : it is shown that, in both nuclei, the first excited $\tfrac{5} {2}^ +$ level corresponds mainly to the one-proton state issued from the π2d 5/2 orbital and that the most probable spin values for the states located at 289.8, 393.5, and 393.8keV in 139Cs are $\tfrac{5} {2}^ +$ , $\tfrac{3} {2}^ +$ , and $\tfrac{1} {2}^ +$ , respectively.  相似文献

The mean life of the second excited state in 42Ca (1.84 MeV, O+) was measured by a direct electronic timing technique to be 558 ± 8 ps. This result compares with a previous measurement of 480 ± 30 ps which yields a high B(E2) value. The present result gives a B(E2; 02+ 1.84 MeV → 21+ 1.52 MeV) value of 484 e2 · fm4 or 55 single-particle units; the theoretical implications of this are discussed.The accurate mean life was extracted using a convoluted function to describe both the inherent time resolution of the experimental system and the exponential decay of the state of interest.  相似文献

Two new examples of production by neutrinos and subsequent decay of charged charmed hadrons are reported. Together with two similar events reported previously they show that the lifetime of charged charmed particles is in the neighbourhood of 5 × 10?13 s, as expected from current theoretical models. One of the new events is identified as a baryon λc+ of mass 2.295 ± 0.015 GeV/c2 which undergoes the decay process λc+ → pπ+K? with a proper decay time (7.3 ± 0.1) × 10?13 s.  相似文献
