The resonant photoproduction of an electron-positron pair on a nucleus in the field of a pulsed light wave is studied theoretically. The approximation where the electromagnetic pulse duration is much longer than the characteristic time of wave oscillations is considered. The interaction of the electron and positron with the Coulomb potential of the nucleus is considered in the Born approximation. An analytical expression for the resonant differential cross section is derived for the range of moderately strong external fields. This cross section contains a resonant peak whose height and width are determined by the external pulsed wave characteristics. The resonant cross section for pair photoproduction on a nucleus in a pulsed laser field can exceed the corresponding cross section for pair photoproduction on a nucleus in the absence of an external field by an order of magnitude.  相似文献

We study the two coupling two-level single molecules driven by an external field as a photon pair source. The probability of emitting two photons, P2, is employed to describe the photon pair source quality in a short time, and the correlation coefficient RAB is employed to describe the photon pair source quality in a long time limit. The results demonstrate that the coupling single quantum emitters can be considered as a stable photon pair source.  相似文献

In this article,we consider the ratio of structure functions for heavy quark pair production at low values of The importance of this ratio for charm and beauty pair production is examined according to the Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator(HERA) data.The behavior of these ratios is considered due to the hard pomeron behavior of the gluon distribution function.The results are in good agreement with the HERA data.Expanding this data to the range of new energies underscores the importance of these measurements for heavy quarks.The ratio of charm and beauty structure functions at the proposed Large Hadron electron Collider(LHeC) is considered as a function of invariant center-of-mass energy.For top pair production this ratio is extracted with known kinematics of the LHeC and Future Circular Collider electron-hadron(FCC-eh) colliders.Comparison of the results obtained for the ratio of top structure functions in LHeC and FCC-eh are proportional to the specified inelasticity y range.  相似文献

Some Coulomb effects in heavy ion collisions are considered. Among them the process of muon and lepton pair creation, Coulomb and unitary corrections, statistics of multiple pair production. Effects of multiple photon exchange in process of lepton pair production by linearly polarized photon on nuclei are considered. This process is used for measuring the polarization of initial photon. Relativistic muon energy loss due to the light lepton pair production in the Coulomb field are calculated. Also we consider the effects of multiple photon exchange in elastic lepton scattering on unscreened atomic field and discuss the possible experimental testing.  相似文献

The problem of commuting quadratic quantum operators with a magnetic field has been considered. It has been shown that any such pair can be reduced to the canonical form, which makes it possible to construct an almost complete classification of the solutions of equations that are necessary and sufficient for a pair of operators to commute with each other. The transformation to the canonical form is performed through the change of variables to the Kovalevskaya-type variables; this change is similar to that in the theory of integrable tops. As an example, this procedure has been considered for the two-dimensional Schrödinger equation with the magnetic field; this equation has an additional quantum integral of motion.  相似文献

The problem of electron–positron pair ionization loss on different distances from its creation point in substance is considered. It is shown that together with the Chudakov effect of pair loss reduction the opposite effect of exceeding by the pair loss of the doubled value of single electron (positron) loss may take place. It is demonstrated that for pair ionization loss in the same substance where the pair is created such effect is rather small but can enhance by the order of magnitude if consider the pair loss in thin plate situated in the direction of pair motion on some distance from this substance. It is pointed out that such effect should be most significant at relatively low pair energies of several hundreds MeV.  相似文献

An equation for the effective spin Hamiltonian including the interaction of radical pair spins with vibrations in both linear and higher approximations was obtained. Even in the linear approximation, the Hamiltonian was found to be non-Heisenberg. The influence of a sound field on the probability of geminate radical pair recombination is considered in the Appendix. The results obtained can be of use for solving certain nanochemistry problems.  相似文献

The dynamics of a micrometer-sized bubble pair in water near a rigid boundary under standing ultrasonic wave excitation is investigated in this study. The viscous effect in the boundary layer at the air-water interface is considered following the viscous correction model. The evolution of the bubble surface at the collapsing stage of the bubble pair is presented for different parameter sets. The field pressure near the rigid boundary, which is induced by the oscillating bubble pair, and the high-speed water jet at the collapse stage, form the main focus of the analysis. This reveals that a horizontal configuration of the bubble pair retards the strength of the bubble jet towards the boundary, whilst a vertical configuration, especially with differently-sized bubbles, can enhance the bubble collapse. This study may help to understand the interaction of multiple bubbles in an acoustic field and its application to surface cleaning.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Liquid-state theory, computer simulation and numerical optimisation are used to investigate the extent to which positional correlations of a hard-sphere fluid – as characterised by the radial distribution function and the two-particle excess entropy – can be suppressed via the introduction of auxiliary pair interactions. The corresponding effects of such interactions on total excess entropy, density fluctuations and single-particle dynamics are explored. Iso-g processes, whereby hard-sphere-fluid pair structure at a given density is preserved at higher densities via the introduction of a density-dependent, soft repulsive contribution to the pair potential, are considered. Such processes eventually terminate at a singular density, resulting in a state that – while incompressible and hyperuniform – remains unjammed and exhibits fluid-like dynamic properties. The extent to which static pair correlations can be suppressed to maximise pair disorder in a fluid with hard cores, determined via direct functional maximisation of two-body excess entropy, is also considered. Systems approaching a state of maximised two-body entropy display a progressively growing bandwidth of suppressed density fluctuations, pointing to a relation between ‘stealthiness’ and maximal pair disorder in materials.  相似文献

In the standard treatment of weak-coupling superconductors, the pair potential enters as a nondiagonal but local potential. It is shown that for a pure, weak-coupling, bulk, single-crystal superconductor the quasiparticle wave functions are then Bloch functions and the self-consistent pair potential is periodic in space with the periodicity of the crystal structure. The relation between this periodic character of the pair potential and energy gap structure is discussed, and it is pointed out that energy gap structure of the general character expected appears to have been observed. The nonlinear dynamics of a pair of unidirectionally coupled gyro-backward-wave oscillators is studied numerically. When the control parameters vary, both developed chaotic oscillations and steady single-frequency oscillations may arise in this pair. The ranges of parameters within which the pair of gyro-oscillators exhibits developed chaotic oscillations are found. The interaction of competing agents is described by classical game theory. It is now well known that this can be extended to the quantum domain, where agents obey the rules of quantum mechanics. This is of emerging interest for exploring quantum foundations, quantum protocols, quantum auctions, quantum cryptography, and the dynamics of quantum cryptocurrency, for example. In this paper, we investigate two-player games in which a strategy pair can exist as a Nash equilibrium when the games obey the rules of quantum mechanics. Using a generalized Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) setting for two-player quantum games, and considering a particular strategy pair, we identify sets of games for which the pair can exist as a Nash equilibrium only when Bell's inequality is violated. We thus determine specific games for which the Nash inequality becomes equivalent to Bell's inequality for the considered strategy pair.  相似文献

We derive, for a liquid-vapour system with pairwise interactions, an infinite set of sum rules relating the pressure and temperature to integrals over the density profile and pair correlation function. For approximate forms for the variation of the pair correlation function through the liquid-vapour interface, these sum rules reduce to equations describing the coexistence curve of the fluid. Pairing forces between nucleons in an atomic nucleus strongly influence its structure. One of the manifestations of pair interaction is the ground state multiplet (GSM) formation in the spectrum of low-lying excited states of even–even nuclei. The value of GSM splitting is determined by the value of pair interaction of nucleons; for each isotope, it can be estimated on the basis of experimental nuclear masses. The quality of this estimate is characterized by the degree of reproduction of GSM levels in the nucleus. The GSM systematics in even–even nuclei with a pair of identical nucleons in addition to the filled nuclear core is considered on the basis of delta interaction.  相似文献

A process of pair production by a circularly polarized photon in the field of an unpolarized atomic electron was considered in the Weizaecker-Williams approximation. The degree of longitudinal polarization of a positron and an electron was calculated. An exclusive cross section, as well as a spectral distribution, were obtained. We estimate the accuracy of our calculations at the level of a few percent. We show the identity of the positron polarization for the considered process and for the process of pair production in the screened Coulomb field of a nucleus.  相似文献

The relativistic two-body problem is considered for spinless particles subject to an external electromagnetic field. When this field is made of the monochromatic superposition of two counter-propagating plane waves (and provided the mutual interaction between particles is known), it is possible to write down explicitly a pair of coupled wave equations (corresponding to a pair of mass-shell constraints) which takes into account also the field contribution. These equations are manifestly covariant; constants of the motion are exhibited, so one ends up with a reduced problem involving five degrees of freedom.  相似文献
