Excitation of low-lying nuclear collective states upon scattering of heavy ions with energies of several tens of MeV/nucleon has been studied. The interaction potential leading to excitation is chosen in the form of a derivative of the microscopic (or semimicroscopic) nucleus-nucleus double-folding optical potential. Elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections have been calculated within the high-energy approximation; the inelastic scattering amplitude was obtained in the first order in the deformation parameter. The cross sections are compared with the experimental data on scattering of 17O from a series of nuclei with excitation of the 2+ level.  相似文献

Cross sections of inelastic scattering of π-mesons from Si, Ni, and Pb nuclei at energy T lab = 291 MeV are calculated using the distorted wave approximation. The microscopic direct and transition optical potentials are determined by specifying the pion-nucleon scattering amplitude and the nuclear density distribution, where we use the in-medium πN amplitude parameters obtained earlier by analyzing the elastic scattering data for the same nuclei. The cross sections are calculated on the basis of the relativistic wave equation. The deformation parameters of the nuclei are obtained by comparing inelastic scattering cross sections with the appropriate experimental data.  相似文献

The elastic scattering of 16O + 12C at various collision energies is discussed in the framework of the optical model with repulsive core nucleus-nucleus potential. The cross sections on backward angles are strongly raised due to repulsive core. It is shown by using the near-side/far-side decomposition method that the near-side component of the scattering amplitude mainly contributes to the elastic scattering cross sections on forward and backward angles. The repulsive core of 16O + 12C potential takes place at distances R ≲ 3 fm.  相似文献

用统计擦碎模型计算了140AMeV40,48Ca+9Be和58,64Ni+9Be弹核碎裂反应产物的截面.通过对碎片截面计算结果和实验测量结果的比较发现,采用自由空间的核子-核子反应截面计算时,对非中心反应产物的截面拟合很好,而对中心反应产物的截面有较大高估,而采用饱和密度相关的核子-核子反应截面计算时,对非周边反应产物的截面拟合较好,而对周边反应产物的截面有一定程度的低估.在统计擦碎模型中,对核子-核子反应截面进行细致的介质密度关联,可能会改进计算值与实验值的符合程度.  相似文献

The (semi)microscopic double-folding nucleus-nucleus optical potentials are suggested for consideration of inelastic scattering with excitation of collective nuclear states by using the adiabatic approach and the elastic scattering amplitude in the high-energy approximation. The analytical expression for inelastic scattering amplitude is obtained keeping the first-order terms in the deformation parameter of a potential. Calculations of inelastic cross sections for the 17O heavy ions scattered on different nuclei at about hundred MeV/nucleon are made, and the acceptable qualitative agreement with the experimental data is obtained without introducing free parameters. The differential cross section of deuteron-deuteron elastic scattering at Pd=5.76 GeV/c is calculated based on the Glauber multiple scattering theory in nucleus-nucleus collision. The theoretical result is compared with the experimental data and the agreement is satisfactory. In addition, the influence of the input amplitude is discussed.  相似文献

We have calculated the total cross sections for relativistic nucleus-nucleus scattering in the Glauber theory and conclude that there will be no factorization, due to the short-range nature of nucleon-nucleon interaction as compared to the sizes of the colliding nuclei.  相似文献

Kaon-nucleon forward scattering amplitudes have been calculated from dispersion relations using recent experimental data on the total cross sections. In the unphysical region the analytical continuation of theK ? p effective range theory has been done and for the asymptotic behaviour of the total cross sections a parametrization, suggested by the Regge-pole models, has been used. The calculated real parts of the scattering amplitude are compared with the existing experimental values, as found by the optical theorem and the extrapolation of the angular distribution to the forward direction.  相似文献

The elastic proton-deuteron scattering cross sections at back angles have been calculated in the light of Kerman-Kisslinger model, using a generalised baryon transfer mechanism on the assumption that theN *'s exist (with a probability~1 %) in the deuteron and that the backward peak is caused by their exchange. The effect of numerous competing open inelastic channels at intermediate energies on the elastic cross section is computed in a particularly simple model of Sopkovich. The resultant damping of the back scattering amplitude is expressed directly in terms of the forward angle elastic scattering data. The results are compared with the experimental cross sections in the energy range of 1.5–2.5 GeV.  相似文献

In order to clear up the sensitivity of the nucleus-nucleus scattering to the nuclear matter distributions in exotic halo nuclei, we have calculated differential cross sections for elastic scattering of the 6He and 11Li nuclei on several nuclear targets at the energy of 0.8 GeV/nucleon with different assumed nuclear density distributions in 6He and 11Li.  相似文献

The pion-nucleon forward scattering amplitude has been calculated from new data of the total cross sections, using several assumptions on the energy dependence above 20 GeV. The results are presented as complex diagrams of the forward amplitude, which are of interest for the discussion of the nucleonic resonances and the non-resonant background scattering. In addition the predictions for the elastic forward cross sections are given as well as the contributions of the real parts to this quantity. A comparison with the new Saclay data of the charge exchange forward cross section leads to the estimate αρ≈0.6, if a Regge behaviour is assumed above 20 GeV. There are indications in favour of a new\(T = \tfrac{1}{2}\) resonance at the total c.m. energyW≈2.8 GeV.  相似文献

Abstract

The problem of electromagnetic wave scattering by a slightly rough interface in an arbitrarily layered medium is solved by a small-perturbation method. The bistatic amplitude of scattering as well as the scattering cross sections for statistically rough surfaces are calculated for linear polarized waves. Along with scattering into up-going waves in a homogeneous medium and scattering cross sections in down-going waves into a layered medium, scattering amplitudes from a rough interface in the arbitrarily layered medium are obtained.  相似文献

The previously presented relations between inclusive cross sections for nucleus-nucleus, nucleon-nucleus and nucleon-nucleon scatterings with largep T production were generalized to include effects of large momentum tail of nucleons inside the nucleus. Simple numerical estimations show that these effects are likely to dominate the inclusive cross section for nucleus-nucleus collisions at very largep T.  相似文献

The folding-model optical potential is generalized in such a way as to apply it to calculating the cross sections for inelastic scattering of π ±-mesons on 28Si, 40Ca, 58Ni, and 208Pb nuclei at the energies of 162, 180, 226, and 291 MeV leading to the excitation of the 2+ and 3? collective states. In doing this, use is made of known nucleon-density distributions in nuclei and the pion–nucleon scattering amplitude whose parameters were obtained previously by fitting the elastic scattering cross sections for the same nuclei. Thus, the values of quadrupole (β 2) and octupole (β 3) deformations of nuclei appear here as the only adjustable parameters. The scattering cross section is calculated by solving the relativistic wave equation, whereby effects of relativization and distortion in the entrance and exit scattering channels are taken exactly into account. The cross sections calculated in this way for inelastic scattering are in good agreement with respective experimental data. The importance of the inclusion of in-medium effects in choosing parameters of the pion–nucleon amplitude is emphasized.  相似文献

The method of relativistic optical potential is applied to studying elastic scattering of electrons by europium and ytterbium atoms in a wide range of collision energies up to 2 keV. The angular dependences of the scattering differential cross sections and the energy dependences of the scattering integral (total, elastic, momentum transfer, and viscosity) cross sections are calculated in both spin-polarized and spin-unpolarized approximations. It is shown that the spin-polarized approximation should be used to calculate the scattering cross sections at energies below 10 eV for a europium atom. The low-energy scattering of an electron by a europium atom is characterized by P-, D-, and F-wave shape resonances. For an ytterbium atom, the calculated cross sections are in good agreement with available experimental data and with those obtained by calculation in terms of the relativistic convergent close-coupling method.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for elastic pion scattering on a number of nuclei at energies between 130 and 290 MeV are calculated. For this purpose, use is made of a microscopic optical pion-nucleus potential that was obtained on the basis of the Glauber theory of high-energy scattering and which is determined by the density distribution of pointlike target nucleons and by the pion-nucleon scattering amplitude. The calculation of the cross sections in question is based on solving the respective relativistic wave equation. Three parameters of the pion-nucleon amplitude are fitted in performing a comparison with experimental data. These are the total cross section for pion-nucleon scattering, the ratio of the real to the imaginary part of the forward pion-nucleon scattering amplitude, and the slope parameter. The resulting values of these parameters are then compared with their counterparts for scattering on free nucleons. The character of nuclear-matter-induced changes in these parameters is studied.  相似文献

Measurements of open charm hadro-production from CERN and Fermilab experiments are reviewed, with particular emphasis on the absolute cross sections and on their A and √s dependences. Differentialp T andx F cross sections calculated with thePythia event generator are found to be in reasonable agreement with recent data. The calculations are scaled to nucleus-nucleus collisions and the expected lepton pair yield is deduced. The charm contribution to the low mass dilepton continuum observed by the CERES experiment is found to be negligible. In particular, it is shown that the observed low mass dilepton excess in S-Au collisions cannot be explained by charm enhancement.  相似文献
