Two noncentrosymmetric quaternary tin chalcoarsenates, Cs(2)SnAs(2)S(9) (1) and Cs(2)SnAs(2)Se(9) (2), were synthesized by the polychalcoarsenate flux method. Compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pmc2(1) with a = 7.386(3) A, b = 14.614(5) A, c = 14.417(5) A, and Z = 4. Compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1) with a = 7.715(5) A, b = 17.56(1) A, c = 7.663(5) A, beta = 115.86(1) degrees, and Z = 2. Both structures contain the same tin-centered molecular cluster anions [Sn[AsQ(2)(Q(2))][AsQ(Q(2))(2)]](2)(-) (Q = S, Se) separated by Cs cations. The Sn(4+) ion is in a distorted octahedral environment coordinated by two different pyramidal-shaped tridentate ligands, [AsQ(2)(Q(2))](3)(-) and [AsQ(Q(2))(2)](3)(-). These compounds absorb visible light at energies above 1.98 and 1.45 eV for 1 and 2, respectively. Differential thermal analysis revealed that 1 melts at 350 degrees C and on cooling gives a glass. The glass recrystallizes at 268 degrees C upon subsequent heating. Compound 2 melts at 258 degrees C.  相似文献

An alkali-metal sulfur reactive flux has been used to synthesize a series of quaternary rare-earth metal compounds. These include KLaP(2)S(6) (I), K(2)La(P(2)S(6))(1/2)(PS(4)) (II), K(3)La(PS(4))(2) (III), K(4)La(0.67)(PS(4))(2) (IV), K(9-x)La(1+x/3)(PS(4))(4) (x = 0.5) (V), K(4)Eu(PS(4))(2) (VI), and KEuPS(4) (VII). Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with the cell parameters a = 11.963(12) A, b = 7.525(10) A, c = 11.389(14) A, beta = 109.88(4) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.066(6) A, b = 6.793(3) A, c = 20.112(7) A, beta = 97.54(3) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound III crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a= 9.141(2) A, b = 17.056(4) A, c = 9.470(2) A, beta = 90.29(2) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound IV crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam with a = 18.202(2) A, b = 8.7596(7) A, c = 9.7699(8) A, and Z = 4. Compound V crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ccca with a = 17.529(9) A, b = 36.43(3) A, c = 9.782(4) A, and Z = 8. Compound VI crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam with a = 18.29(5) A, b = 8.81(2) A, c= 9.741(10) A, and Z = 4. Compound VII crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 16.782(2) A, b = 6.6141(6) A, c = 6.5142(6) A, and Z = 4. The sulfur compounds are in most cases isostructural to their selenium counterparts. By controlling experimental conditions, these structures can be placed in quasi-quaternary phase diagrams, which show the reaction conditions necessary to obtain a particular thiophosphate anionic unit in the crystalline product. These structures have been characterized by Raman and IR spectroscopy and UV-vis diffuse reflectance optical band gap analysis.  相似文献

The reaction of Mn and Cd in alkali metal polythioarsenate fluxes afforded four new compounds featuring molecular anions. K(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (I) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2/n with a = 9.1818(8) A, b = 8.5867(8) A, c = 20.3802(19) A, and beta = 95.095(2) degrees. Rb(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (II) and Cs(8)[Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)] (III) both crystallize in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.079(3) A, b = 9.197(3) A, c = 11.219(4) A, alpha = 105.958(7) degrees, beta = 103.950(5) degrees, and gamma = 92.612(6) degrees for II and a = 9.420(5) A, b = 9.559(5) A, c = 11.496(7) A, alpha = 105.606(14) degrees, beta = 102.999(12) degrees, and gamma = 92.423(14) degrees for III. The discrete dimeric [Mn(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) clusters in these compounds are composed of two octahedral Mn(2+) ions bridged by two [AsS(4)](3-) units and chelated each by a [AsS(4)](3-) unit. Rb(8)[Cd(2)(AsS(4))(2)(AsS(5))(2)] (IV) crystallizes in P1 with a = 9.122(2) A, b = 9.285(2) A, c = 12.400(3) A, alpha = 111.700(6) degrees, beta = 108.744 degrees, and gamma = 90.163(5) degrees. Owing to the greater size of Cd compared to Mn, the Cd centers in this compound are bridged by [AsS(5)](3-) units. The [Cd(2)(AsS(4))(4)](8-) cluster is a minor component cocrystallized in the lattice. These compounds are yellow in color and soluble in water.  相似文献

Six new actinide metal thiophosphates have been synthesized by the reactive flux method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction: Cs(8)U(5)(P(3)S(10))(2)(PS(4))(6) (I), K(10)Th(3)(P(2)S(7))(4)(PS(4))(2) (II), K(5)U(PS(4))(3) (III), K(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (IV), Rb(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (V), and Cs(5)Th(PS(4))(3) (VI). Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 33.2897(1) A, b = 14.9295(1) A, c = 17.3528(2) A, beta = 115.478(1) degrees, Z = 8. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 32.8085(6) A, b = 9.0482(2) A, c = 27.2972(3) A, beta = 125.720(1) degrees, Z = 8. Compound III crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 14.6132(1) A, b = 17.0884(2) A, c = 9.7082(2) A, beta = 108.63(1) degrees, Z = 4. Compound IV crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.7436(1) A, b = 11.3894(2) A, c = 20.0163(3) A, beta = 90.041(1) degrees, Z = 4, as a pseudo-merohedrally twinned cell. Compound V crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 13.197(4) A, b = 9.997(4) A, c = 18.189(7) A, beta = 100.77(1) degrees, Z = 4. Compound VI crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 13.5624(1) A, b = 10.3007(1) A, c = 18.6738(1) A, beta = 100.670(1) degrees, Z = 4. Optical band-gap measurements by diffuse reflectance show that compounds I and III contain tetravalent uranium as part of an extended electronic system. Thorium-containing compounds are large-gap materials. Raman spectroscopy on single crystals displays the vibrational characteristics expected for [PS(4)](3)(-), [P(2)S(7)](4-), and the new [P(3)S(10)](5)(-) building blocks. This new thiophosphate building block has not been observed except in the structure of the uranium-containing compound Cs(8)U(5)(P(3)S(10))(2)(PS(4))(6).  相似文献

Four europium group XIV chalcogenides have been synthesized using the reactive flux method: K(2)EuTSe(5) (I, II) and KEuTS(4) (III, IV) where T = Si, Ge. K(2)EuSiSe(5), I, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with cell parameters a = 11.669(3) A, b = 9.844(2) A, c = 8.917(2) A, beta = 91.583(5) degrees, and Z = 4. K(2)EuGeSe(5), II, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with cell parameters a = 11.8056(3) A, b = 9.9630(1) A, c = 8.9456(1) A, beta = 91.195(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Both K(2)EuSiSe(5) and K(2)EuGeSe(5) are semiconductors with optical band-gaps of approximately 2.00 and 1.84 eV, respectively. Raman spectroscopy shows vibrations from the (TSe(5))(4-) (T = Si, Ge) unit. KEuSiS(4), III, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1) with cell parameters a = 6.426(4) A, b = 6.582(5) A, c = 8.566(7) A, beta = 107.83(6) degrees, and Z = 2. KEuGeS(4), IV, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1) with cell parameters a = 6.510(2) A, b = 6.649(2) A, c = 8.603(3) A, beta = 107.80(2) degrees, and Z = 2. Band-gap analysis shows that both compounds are semiconductors with optical band-gaps of 1.72 and 1.71 eV, respectively. The Raman spectrum of KEuGeS(4) shows the vibrations of the (GeS(4))(4-) unit. Fluorescence spectroscopy confirms the presence of Eu(III) in III and IV instead of Eu(II) as in I and II. These four crystalline products were formed under equivalent stoichiometric reaction conditions. The fact that two different products are observed can be used to understand the relationship between the oxidative and reductive potentials within these flux reactions.  相似文献

Tetraalkylammonium cations, (NR4)+ (R = C3H7, C4H9, and C5H11), have been used as templates to form a new family of [M(dca)3]- [M = Mn and Ni; dca = dicyanamide or N(CN)2(-)] salts. The tetrapropylammonium (TPrA) salts possess a perovskite-type anion structure. (TPrA)[Mn(dca)3] (1) crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P42(1)c, with a = 16.2945(8) A, c = 17.4321(8) A, and V = 4628.4(6) A(3) at T = 298 K. At room temperature, (TPrA)[Ni(dca)3] (2) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnna, with a = 17.171(2) A, b = 22.992(2) A, c = 22.750(2) A, and V = 8981(2) A3, but undergoes a first-order phase transition within the temperature range 150-220 K to the tetragonal space group P42(1)c, with a = 16.0985(7) A, c = 17.0287(8) A, and V = 4413.2(5) A3 at T = 160 K. At 110 K, 2 returns to the Pnna space group with a = 17.116(2) A, b = 22.800(3) A, c = 22.641(3) A, and V = 8835(3) A3. The tetrabutylammonium (TBA) salts possess a triple rutile structure. (TBA)[Mn(dca)3] (3) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2, with a = 16.0107(6) A, b = 16.0114(6), c = 21.5577(8) A, and V = 5526.4(5) A3. (TBA)[Ni(dca)3] (4) also crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2, with a = 15.6842(5) A, b = 15.6841(6) A, c = 21.1551(8) A, and V = 5204.0(5) A3. The tetrapentylammonium (TPnA) salts crystallize with a LiSbO3 structure type, space group Pnna. Lattice parameters for (TPnA)[Mn(dca)3] (5) are a = 13.2236(6) A, b = 11.6300(6) A, c = 20.3176(9) A, and V = 3124.6(4) A3, and for (TPnA)[Ni(dca)3] (6), a = 12.9380(4) A, b = 11.6233(4) A, c = 19.8038(7) A, and V = 2978.1(2) A3. Long-range antiferromagnetic ordering has been observed in the manganese salts below 2.1 K, as indicated by alternating current susceptibility measurements. Magnetic susceptibility data for the nickel salts do not show evidence for long-range magnetic ordering but can be described using an S = 1 zero-field splitting model with the exchange Hamiltonian H = -J sigma(S(i)S(i+1)) + D sigma((S(i)z)2) + g mu(beta)B sigma(S(i)), giving absolute value(D)/kB values that range between 1.98(1) K and 3.20(2) K.  相似文献

The syntheses and properties of tetra- and pentanuclear vanadium(IV,V) carboxylate complexes are reported. Reaction of (NBzEt(3))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1a) with NaO(2)CPh and atmospheric H(2)O/O(2) in MeCN leads to formation of (NBzEt(3))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] 4a; a similar reaction employing (NEt(4))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1b) gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] (4b). Complex 4a.MeCN crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -148 degrees C: a = 13.863(13) ?, b = 34.009(43) ?, c = 12.773(11) ?, and Z = 4. The reaction between (NEt(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2a) and NaO(2)CPh under similar conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6a), and the use of (PPh(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2b) likewise gives (PPh(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6b). Complex 6b crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -139 degrees C: a = 18.638(3) ?, b = 23.557(4) ?, c = 12.731(2) ?, and Z = 4. The anions of 4a and 6b consist of a V(5) square pyramid with each vertical face bridged by a &mgr;(3)-O(2)(-) ion, the basal face bridged by a &mgr;(4)-X(-) (X = Cl, Br) ion, and a terminal, multiply-bonded O(2)(-) ion on each metal. The RCO(2)(-) groups bridge each basal edge to give C(4)(v)() virtual symmetry. The apical and basal metals are V(V) and V(IV), respectively (i.e., the anions are trapped-valence). The reaction of 1b with AgNO(3) and Na(tca) (tca = thiophene-2-carboxylate) in MeCN under anaerobic conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(4)O(8)(NO(3))(tca)(4)] (7). Complex 7.H(2)O crystallizes in space group C2/c with the following unit cell dimensions at -170 degrees C: a = 23.606(4) ?, b = 15.211(3) ?, c = 23.999(5) ?, and Z = 4. The anion of 7 is similar to those of 4a and 6b except that the apical [VO] unit is absent, leaving a V(4) square unit, and the &mgr;(4)-X(-) ion is replaced with a &mgr;(4),eta(1)-NO(3)(-) ion. The four metal centers are now at the V(IV), 3V(V) oxidation level, but the structure indicates four equivalent V centers, suggesting an electronically delocalized system. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data were collected on powdered samples of 4b, 6a, and 7 in the 2.00-300 K range in a 10 kG applied field. 4b and 6a both show a slow increase in effective magnetic moment (&mgr;(eff)) from approximately 3.6-3.7 &mgr;(B) at 320 K to approximately 4.5-4.6 &mgr;(B) at 11.0 K and then a slight decrease to approximately 4.2 &mgr;(B) at 2.00 K. The data were fit to the theoretical expression for a V(IV)(4) square with two exchange parameters J = J(cis)() and J' = J(trans)() (H = -2JS(i)()S(j)()): fitting of the data gave, in the format 4b/6a, J= +39.7/+46.4 cm(-)(1), J' = -11.1/-18.2 cm(-)(1) and g = 1.83/1.90, with the complexes possessing S(T) = 2 ground states. The latter were confirmed by magnetization vs field studies in the 2.00-30.0 K and 0.500-50.0 kG ranges: fitting of the data gave S(T) = 2 and D = 0.00 cm(-)(1) for both complexes, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. Complex 7 shows a nearly temperature-independent &mgr;(eff) (1.6-2.0 &mgr;(B)) consistent with a single d electron per V(4) unit. The (1)H NMR spectra of 4b and 6a in CD(3)CN are consistent with retention of their pentanuclear structure on dissolution. The EPR spectrum of 7 in a toluene/MeCN (1:2) solution at approximately 25 degrees C yields an isotropic signal with a 29-line hyperfine pattern assignable to hyperfine interactions with four equivalent I = (7)/(2) (51)V nuclei.  相似文献

Five new rare-earth metal polyselenophosphates have been synthesized by the reactive flux method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction: K(2)La(P(2)Se(6))(1/2)(PSe(4)) (I), K(3)La(PSe(4))(2) (II), K(4)La(0.67)(PSe(4))(2) (III), K(9-x)()La(1+)(x/3)(PSe(4))(4) (x = 0.5) (IV), and KEuPSe(4) (V). Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 9.4269(1) A, b = 7.2054(1) A, c = 21.0276(5) A, beta = 97.484(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 9.5782(2) A, b = 17.6623(4) A, c = 9.9869(3) A, beta = 90.120(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound III crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibam with a = 19.0962(2) A, b = 9.1408(1) A, c = 10.2588(2) A, and Z = 4. Compound IV crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ccca with a = 18.2133(1) A, b = 38.0914(4) A, c = 10.2665(1) A, and Z = 8. Compound V crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 17.5156(11) A, b = 7.0126(5) A, c = 6.9015(4) A, and Z = 4. Optical band gap measurements show that compound V has an optical band gap of 1.88 eV. Solid-state Raman spectroscopy of compounds II-V shows the four normal vibrations expected for the (PSe(4))(3-) unit. The observation of compounds I-V in several reactions has allowed the creation of a quasi-quaternary phase diagram for potassium rare-earth-metal polyselenophosphates. This phase diagram can qualitatively be separated into three regions on the basis of the oxidation state of phosphorus in the crystalline products observed and takes the next step in designing solid-state compounds.  相似文献

The first example of a mononuclear diphosphanidoargentate, bis[bis(trifluoromethyl)phosphanido]argentate, [Ag[P(CF(3))(2)](2)](-), is obtained via the reaction of HP(CF(3))(2) with [Ag(CN)(2)](-) and isolated as its [K(18-crown-6)] salt. When the cyclic phosphane (PCF(3))(4) is reacted with a slight excess of [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[P(CF(3))(2)](2)], selective insertion of one PCF(3) unit into each silver phosphorus bond is observed, which on the basis of NMR spectroscopic evidence suggests the [Ag[P(CF(3))P(CF(3))(2)](2)](-) ion. On treatment of the phosphane complexes [M(CO)(5)PH(CF(3))(2)] (M = Cr, W) with [K(18-crown-6)][Ag(CN)(2)], the analogous trinuclear argentates, [Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))M(CO)(5)](2)](-), are formed. The chromium compound [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))Cr(CO)(5)](2)] crystallizes in a noncentrosymmetric space group Fdd2 (No. 43), a = 2970.2(6) pm, b = 1584.5(3) pm, c = 1787.0(4), V = 8.410(3) nm(3), Z = 8. The C(2) symmetric anion, [Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))Cr(CO)(5)](2)](-), shows a nearly linear arrangement of the P-Ag-P unit. Although the bis(pentafluorophenyl)phosphanido compound [Ag[P(C(6)F(5))(2)](2)](-) has not been obtained so far, the synthesis of its trinuclear counterpart, [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[(micro-P(C(6)F(5))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)], was successful.  相似文献

The crystal structures and the magnetic properties of three new binary rare-earth intermetallic phases are reported. alpha-Sm3Ge5 and beta-Sm3Ge5 and Gd3Ge5 have been prepared from the corresponding elements through high-temperature reactions using the flux-growth method. The structures of the three compounds have been established using single-crystal X-ray diffraction: alpha-Sm3Ge5 crystallizes with its own type in the hexagonal space group P2c (No. 190) with cell parameters a = 6.9238(11) A, c = 8.491(3) A, and Z = 2, whereas beta-Sm3Ge5 adopts the face-centered orthorhombic Y3Ge5 type with space group Fdd2 (No. 43) and with cell parameters a = 5.8281(6) A, b = 17.476(2) A, c = 13.785(2) A, and Z = 8. The orthorhombic Gd3Ge5 with cell parameters a = 5.784(2) A, b = 17.355(6) A, and c = 13.785(5) A is isostructural with beta-Sm3Ge5. The structures of the title compounds can be described as AlB(2) and alpha-ThSi2 derivatives with long-range ordering of the germanium vacancies. Temperature-dependent DC magnetization (5-300 K) measurements show evidence of antiferromagnetic ordering below ca. 30 and 10 K for alpha-Sm3Ge5 and beta-Sm3Ge5, respectively. Gd3Ge5 undergoes two successive magnetic transitions below ca. 15 and 11 K. The temperature dependence of the resistivity and heat capacity of Gd3Ge5 are discussed as well.  相似文献

A series of new complexes, Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OR)(2)](2) (where R = Et, n-Pr, i-Pr) and Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)POGO](2) (where G = -CH(2)CMe(2)CH(2)-, -CMe(2)CMe(2)-) have been prepared by the dropwise addition of an ethanolic solution of the ammonium or sodium salt of the appropriate O,O-dialkyl or -alkylene dithiophosphoric acid, or the acid itself, to a hot aqueous solution of molybdenum(V) pentachloride. The complexes were also formed by heating solutions of Mo(2)O(3)[S(2)P(OR)(2)](4) or Mo(2)O(3)[S(2)POGO](4) species in glacial acetic acid. The Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OR)(2)](2) and Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)POGO](2) compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, (1)H, (13)C, and (31)P NMR, and infrared and Raman spectroscopy, as were the 1:2 adducts formed on reaction with pyridine. The crystal structures of Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OEt(2))](2), Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OEt)(2)](2).2NC(5)H(5), and Mo(2)O(3)[S(2)P(OPh)(2)](4) were determined. Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OEt)(2)](2) (1) crystallizes in space group C2/c, No. 15, with cell parameters a = 15.644(3) ?, b = 8.339(2) ?, c = 18.269(4) ?, beta = 103.70(2) degrees, V = 2315.4(8) ?(3), Z = 4, R = 0.0439, and R(w) = 0.0353. Mo(2)O(2)S(2)[S(2)P(OEt)(2)](2).2NC(5)H(5) (6) crystallizes in space group P&onemacr;, No. 2, with the cell parameters a = 12.663(4) ?,b = 14.291(5) ?, c = 9.349(3) ?, alpha = 100.04(3) degrees, beta = 100.67(3) degrees, gamma = 73.03(3) degrees V = 1557(1) ?(3), Z = 2, R = 0.0593, and R(w) = 0.0535. Mo(2)O(3)[S(2)P(OPh)(2)](4) (8) crystallizes in space group P2(1)/n, No. 14, with cell parameters a = 15.206(2)?, b = 10.655(3)?, c = 19.406(3)?, beta = 111.67(1) degrees, V = 2921(1)?(3), Z = 2, R = 0.0518, R(w) = 0.0425. The immediate environment about the molybdenum atoms in 1 is essentially square pyramidal if the Mo-Mo interaction is ignored. The vacant positions in the square pyramids are occupied by two pyridine molecules in 6, resulting in an octahedral environment with very long Mo-N bonds. The terminal oxygen atoms in both 1 and 6 are in the syn conformation. In 8, which also has a distorted octahedral environment about molybdenum, two of the dithiophosphate groups are bidentate as in 1 and 6, but the two others have one normal Mo-S bond and one unusually long Mo-S bond.  相似文献

Tetranuclear complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n, with unit cell parameters a = 8.284(8), b = 21.52(1), c = 11.432(3) A, beta = 105.19(2) degrees , Z = 2. Bi-dimensional complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1, with unit cell parameters a = 8.184(5), b = 8.792(2), c = 10.887(2) A, alpha = 75.65(2), beta = 76.55(3), gamma = 74.36(3) degrees , Z = 2. Tetranuclear complex 3 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1, with unit cell parameters a = 8.455(4), b = 9.114(9), c = 12.744(8) A, alpha = 104.62(8), beta = 99.86(6), gamma = 106.10(8) degrees, Z = 1. Dinuclear complex 4 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P1, with unit cell parameters a = 8.15(1), b = 8.18(2), c = 11.44(1) A, alpha = 69.39(2), beta = 80.36(2), gamma = 80.37(2) degrees , Z = 2. One-dimensional complex 5 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1), with unit cell parameters a = 20.45(4), b = 11.36(3), c = 6.43(1) A, Z = 4. The magnetic behavior of all the complexes has been checked giving a bulk antiferromagnetic coupling in all the cases with |J| values in the range 109-144 cm(-1) for 1-4. Compound 5 is diamagnetic in the 2-300 K range of temperatures. The found J values 1-5 for can be justified from the structural data taking into account the orbital countercomplementarity for 1-4 and the orbital complementarity for 5.  相似文献

A homologous series of dinuclear compounds with the bridging ligand 2-(2-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pynp) has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallographic and spectroscopic methods. [Mo(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x 3CH(3)CN (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 15.134(5) A, b = 14.301(6) A, c = 19.990(6) A, beta = 108.06(2) degrees, V = 4113(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Ru(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][PF(6)](2) x 2CH(3)OH (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 14.2228(7) A, b = 20.3204(9) A, c = 14.1022(7) A, beta = 95.144(1) degrees, V = 4059.3(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x C(7)H(8) (3) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 13.409(2) A, b = 21.670(3) A, c = 13.726(2) A, beta = 94.865(2) degrees, V = 3973.9(8) A(3), and Z = 4. A minor product, [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)][PF(6)] x 2CH(3)CN (4), was isolated from the mother liquor after crystals of 3 had been harvested; this compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group, P1 with a = 12.535(3) A, b = 13.116(3) A, c = 13.785(3) A, alpha = 82.52(3) degrees, beta = 77.70(3) degrees, gamma = 85.76(3) degrees, V = 2193.0(8) A(3), and Z = 2. Compounds 1-3 constitute a convenient series for probing the influence of the electronic configuration on the extent of mixing of the M-M orbitals with the pi system of the pynp ligand. Single point energy calculations performed on 1-3 at the B3LYP level of theory lend insight into the bonding in these compounds and allow for correlations to be made with electronic spectral data. Although purely qualitative in nature, the values for normalized change in orbital energies (NCOE) of the frontier orbitals before and after reduction are in agreement with the observed differences in reduction potentials as determined by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Compound 1 (C18H18N2O4S) belongs to orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 9.6348(14), b = 11.1517(17), c = 16.412(3) A, V = 1763.4(5) A^3, Mr = 358.40, Z = 4, De = 1.350 g/cm^3,/t = 0.209 mm^-1, F(000) = 752, R = 0.0348 and wR = 0.0714. Compound 2 (CI8H17ClN2O4S) crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 9.3128(14), b = 10.9655(16), c = 17.783(3) A, V = 1815.9(5) A^3, Mr = 392.85, Z = 4, De = 1.437 g/cm^3, p = 0.352 mm^-1, F(000) = 816, R = 0.0389 and wR = 0.0845. The one-electron oxidized linear pentanuclear nickel complexes [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(H(2)O)(BF(4))](BF(4))(2) (1) and [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(SO(3)CF(3))(2)](SO(3)CF(3)) (2) have been synthesized by reacting the neutral compound [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)Cl(2)] with the corresponding silver salts. These compounds have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 15.3022(1) A, b = 31.0705(3) A, c = 15.8109(2) A, beta = 92.2425(4) degrees, V = 7511.49(13) A(3), Z = 4, and compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 42.1894(7) A, b = 17.0770(3) A, c = 21.2117(4) A, beta = 102.5688(8) degrees, V = 14916.1(5) A(3), Z = 8. X-ray structural studies reveal an unsymmetrical Ni(5) unit for both compounds 1 and 2. Compounds 1 and 2 show stronger Ni-Ni interactions as compared to those of the neutral compounds.  相似文献

Single crystals of A2ThP3Se9 (A = K (I), Rb (II)) and Cs4Th2PsSe17 (III) form from the reaction of Th and P in a molten A2Se3/Se (A = K, Rb, Cs) flux at 750 degrees C for 100 h. Compound I crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with unit cell parameters a = 10.4582(5) A, b = 16.5384(8) A, c = 10.2245(5) A, alpha = 107.637(1); beta = 91.652(1); gamma = 90.343(1) degrees, and Z = 2. Compound II crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (No. 2) with the unit cell parameters a = 10.5369(5) A, b = 16.6914(8) A, c = 10.2864(5) A, alpha = 107.614(1) degrees, beta = 92.059(1) degrees, gamma = 90.409(1) degrees, and Z = 2. These structures consist of infinite chains of corner-sharing [Th2Se14] units linked by (P2Se6)4- anions in two directions to form a ribbonlike structure along the [100] direction. Compounds I and II are isostructural with the previously reported K2UP3Se9. Compound III crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c (No. 14) with unit cell parameters a = 10.238(1) A, b = 32.182(2) A, c = 10.749(1) A; beta = 95.832(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Cs4Th2P5Se17 consists of infinite chains of corner-sharing, polyhedral [Th2Se13] units that are also linked by (P2Se6)4- anions in the [100] and [010] directions to form a layered structure. The structure of III features an (Se2)2- anion that is bound eta 2 to Th(2) and eta 1 to Th(1). This anion influences the coordination sphere of the 9-coordinate Th(2) atom such that it is best described as bicapped trigonal prismatic where the eta 2-bound anion occupies one coordination site. The composition of III may be formulated as Cs4Th2(P2Se6)5/2(Se2) due to the presence of the (Se2)2- unit. Raman spectra for these compounds and their interpretation are reported.  相似文献

Controlled synthesis of transition metal complexes with mixed ligands has led to two new compounds with the same empirical formula [Fe(N3)2(4,4'-bpy)] (4,4'-bpy=4,4'- bipyridine). The compound 2D-[Fe(N3)2(4,4'-bpy)] (I) contains end-on (EO) bridging azido ligands. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system, space group Cmmm (No. 65): a=11.444(2) A, b=15.181(3) A, c=3.458(1) A, V=600.8(2) A(3), and Z=2. The compound 3D-[Fe(N3)2(4,4'-bpy)] (II) contains end-to-end (EE) azido bridges. It belongs to the tetragonal crystal system, space group P4(1)2(1)2 (No. 92): a=8.132(1) A, b=8.132(1) A, c=16.708(3) A, V=1104.9(5) A(3), and Z=4. Crystals of I and II have been grown by the diffusion method. Phase-pure samples of both compounds have been obtained by means of an optimal solution synthesis. Spontaneous long-range magnetic ordering was found in both I and II, with I being a metamagnet, and II being a ferromagnet. For I, in the low-field region, multiple transitions at TN1=20 K and TN2=5 K were observed, and these indicated the existence of Fe moment reorientation. Heat capacity measurements on II confirmed ferromagnetic transition at TC=20 K.  相似文献

The compound K2Cu3US5 was obtained by the reaction of K2S, UCl4, CuCl, and S at 973 K. K2Cu3US5 crystallizes in a new structure type in space group Cmcm of the orthorhombic system in a cell of dimensions a = 3.9374(6) A, b = 13.813(2) A, c = 17.500(3) A, and V = 951.8(2) A3 at 153 K. The structure comprises (2)(infinity)[UCu3S52-] slabs separated by K+ cations. The slabs are built from CuS4 tetrahedra and US6 octahedra. Their connectivity differs from other known octahedral/tetrahedral packing patterns. In the temperature range 130-300 K the compound exhibits Curie-Weiss magnetic behavior with mu(eff) = 2.45(8) mu(B). This result together with both the bond distances and bond valence calculations and the absence of a Cu2+ ESR signal support the formulation of the above compound as K+2Cu+3U5+S2-5.  相似文献

The oxothio polyanions gamma-[SiW(10)M(2)S(2)O(38)](6)(-) (M = Mo(V), W(V)) were obtained through stereospecific addition of the dication [M(2)S(2)O(2)](2+) (M = Mo, W) to the divacant gamma-[SiW(10)O(36)](8)(-) anion in dimethylformamide. These compounds were isolated as crystals and are stable in usual organic solvents and in aqueous medium from pH = 1 to pH = 7. NEt(4)Cs(3)H(2)[SiW(10)Mo(2)S(2)O(38)].6H(2)O (a gamma-isomer derived from the alpha Keggin structure capped by the [Mo(2)S(2)O(2)](2+) fragment containing a metal-metal bond) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr; with a = 12.050(3) ?, b = 12.695(2) ?, c = 20.111(4) ?, alpha = 74.35(2) degrees, beta = 86.83(2) degrees, gamma = 63.50(2) degrees, Z = 2. NEt(4)Cs(5)[SiW(12)S(2)O(38)].7H(2)O is isostructural and crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr; with a = 12.197(4) ?, b = 12.714(3) ?, c = 20.298(3) ?, alpha = 74.75(1) ?, beta = 86.48(2) degrees, gamma = 61.80(2) degrees, Z = 2. (183)W NMR spectra of Li(+) salts in aqueous solution agree with the solid state structures and reveal 100% purity for both anions. Polarographic, infrared and UV-vis data are also given.  相似文献

Two new hybrid organic/inorganic copper oxovanadium diphosphonates [Cu2(phen)2(O3PCH2PO3)(V2O5)(H2O)] x H2O (1) and [(Cu2(phen)2(O3P(CH2)3PO3)(V2O5)] x C3H8 (2) have been obtained by hydrothermal synthesis. The compounds are monoclinic, and they crystallize in the space group P2(1)/n with cell parameters of a = 11.788(2) A, b = 17.887(3) A, c = 14.158(2) A, and beta = 93.99(0) degrees and in the space group C2/c with cell parameters of a = 11.025(1) A, b = 18.664(2) A, c = 15.054(2) A, and beta = 90.06(0) degrees, respectively. Both compounds present two-dimensional frameworks built up from infinite chains of corner-sharing vanadium tetrahedra and diphosphonate groups connected by copper tetramers for (1) and copper dimers for (2). The remarkable feature of (2) is the encapsulation of propane molecules, stabilized by strong hydrogen bonding between the layers. The magnetic properties of the compounds have been investigated showing antiferromagnetic coupling with Tmax = 64 K for (1) and Curie-like paramagnetic behavior for (2).  相似文献
