[Co(η2-CO3)(NH3)4](NO3)·0.5H2O and [(NH3)3Co(μ-OH)2(μ-CO3)Co(NH3)3][NO3]2·H2O were prepared by prolonged aerial oxidation of a solution of Co(NO3)2·6H2O and ammonium carbonate in aqueous ammonia. The formation of these side products highlights the richness of the chemistry of these systems and the possibility of by products if methods are not strictly adhered to. The X-ray crystal structures of [Co(η2-CO3)(NH3)4][NO3]·0.5H2O and [(NH3)3Co(μ-OH)2(μ-CO3)Co(NH3)3][NO3]2·H2O reveal a monomeric octahedral cobalt center with η2-bound CO32− in the former, while the latter consists of a dimeric array where the two cobalt centers are bridged by two OH and one μ2-CO32− groups with three terminal NH3 ligands for each Co center. In both complexes extensive hydrogen bonding interactions are evident.  相似文献

A new ligand, 2-acetyl-2-thiazoline semicarbazone (ATsc), has been prepared and characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. Likewise, the metal complexes [CuCl2(ATsc)] and [Ni(ATsc)2](NO3)2 · H2O have been isolated and characterized through elemental analysis, IR, UV–Vis–NIR diffuse reflectance and magnetic susceptibility, as well as, in the case of the copper complex, by means of EPR. Moreover, the structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction. In both complexes the Schiff base acts as a tridentate ligand through N(1), N(2) and O atoms, making two five-membered chelate rings. The copper complex consists of monomeric molecules in which the copper atom is five coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, with one ATsc and two chlorine ligands. The complex cation of nickel possesses approximately a non-crystallographic C2 symmetry. The environment around the nickel atom may be described as a distorted octahedral geometry with the metallic atom coordinated to two ATsc ligands.  相似文献

Synthesis, structure, spectroscopy and thermal properties of complex [Co(NCS)2(hmt)2(H2O)2][Co(NCS)2(H2O)4] (H2O) (I), assembled by hexamethylenetetramine and octahedral Co(II) metal ions, are reported. Crystal data for I: Fw 387.34, a=9.020(8), b=12.887(9), c=7.95(1) Å, =96.73(4), β=115.36(5), γ=94.16(4)°, V=820(1) Å3, Z=2, space group=P−1, T=173 K, λ(Mo-K)=0.71070 Å, ρcalc=1.718567 g cm−3, μ=17.44 cm−1, R=0.088, Rw=0.148. An interesting two-dimensional network is assembled via hydrogen bonds through coordinated and free water molecules. The d–d transition energy levels of Co(II) ion are determined by UV–vis spectroscopy and calculated by ligand field theory. The calculated results agree well with experiment ones.  相似文献

Four novel mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) with saccharin and nicotinamide were synthesised and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopic study, UV–Vis spectrometric and magnetic susceptibility data. The structure of the Cu (II) complex is completely different from those of the Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes. From the frequencies of the saccharinato CO and SO2 modes, it has been proven that the saccharinato ligands in the structure of the Cu complex are coordinated to the metal ion ([Cu(NA)2(Sac)2(H2O)], where NA — nicotinamide, Sac — saccharinato ligand or ion), whilst in the Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes are uncoordinated and exist as ions ([M(NA)2(H2O)4](Sac)2).  相似文献

A novel N6 macrocyclic ligand, L1 (2,8,14,20-tetramethyl-3,7,15,19,25,26-hexaaza-tricyclo[19.3.1.19,13]hexacosa-1(24),9,11,13(26),21(25),22-hexaene), was obtained by reduction of the 2 + 2 condensation product of 2,6-diacetylpyridine and propane-1,3-diamine. Zinc(II) complexes of L1, of a related N8 macrocycle, L3 (3,6,9,17,20,23,29,30-octaaza-tricyclo[23.3.1.1[11,15]]triaconta-1(28),1,13,15(30),25(29),26-hexaene), similarly prepared by 2 + 2 condensation of 2,6-diformylpyridine and diethylenetriamine and of a tetra N-2-cyanoethyl derivative of a homologue of L1 prepared from diformyl pyridine and ethane-1,2-diamine, L2 (3-[6,14,17-tris-(2-cyano-ethyl)-3,6,14,17,23,24-hexaaza-tricyclo[17.3.1.18,12] tetracosa-1(23),8(24),9,11,19,21-hexaen-3-yl]-propionitrile), were prepared. Structures were determined for [ZnL1](ClO4)2 · H2O, [ZnL2](NO3)2 and [Zn2L3(NO3)2](NO3)2 · H2O. The [ZnL1](ClO4)2 · H2O and [ZnL2](NO3)2 complexes present a mononuclear endomacrocyclic structure with the metal in an octahedral distorted environment coordinated by the six donor nitrogen atoms from the macrocyclic backbone while the complex [Zn2L3(NO3)2](NO3)2 · H2O is dinuclear with both metal atoms into the macrocyclic cavity coordinated by four donor nitrogen atoms from the macrocyclic framework and one oxygen atom from one monodentate nitrate anion, in a distorted square pyramidal arrangement.  相似文献

Two new lanthanide complexes of isonicotinic acid N-oxide (HL), namely [Ln(L)2(H2O)4]n·(NO3)n·n(H2O) for Ln = Sm or Tb, have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. IR spectra suggest that isonicotinic acid N-oxide acts as a O,O′-bidentate ligand, the N-oxide group as well as the nitrate group are not involved in coordination. Single crystal analyses have shown that both complexes are isomorphous, where the Ln(III) centers are eight coordinated by four O atoms of four water ligands and other four O atoms of two isonicotinic acid N-oxide ligands. The carboxylate groups are only involved in the bidentate syn–syn bridging mode into infinite chains. Hydrogen bonds between aqua ligands, lattice molecules, nitrate and N-oxide groups are formed giving a three-dimensional network.  相似文献

The two-stage melting process and the thermal decomposition of [Ni(H2O)6](NO3)2 was studied by DSC, DTA and TG. The first melting point at 328 K is connected with the small and the second melting point at 362 K with the large enthalpy and entropy changes. The thermal dehydration process starts just above ca. 315 K and continues up to ca. 500 K. It consists of three well-separated stages, but the sample mass loss at each stage depends on the experimental regime. However, irrespective of the chosen regime, the total of registered mass losses in stage one and two amounts to three H2O molecules per one [Ni(H2O)6](NO3)2 molecule. The remaining three H2O molecules are gradually freed in the temperature range of 440–500 K in the third stage of the dehydration. Above 580 K, anhydrous Ni(NO3)2 decomposes into NO and NiO. The gaseous products were identified by quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS), and the solid product was identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis.  相似文献

One-dimensional Co(dien)2(VO3)3·(H2O) was prepared from the hydrothermal reaction of NH4VO3, Co2O3, diethylenetriamine (dien) and H2O at 130 °C. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a=16.1581(6) Å, b=8.7006(3) Å, c=13.9893(4) Å, β=103.1483(11)°, V=1915.13(11) Å3, Z=4, and R1=0.0268 for 3060 observed reflections. Single crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that the structure is composed of infinite one-dimensional chains formed by corner-sharing VO4 tetrahedra with Co(dien)3+ complex cations and crystallization water molecules occupying the interchain positions, which are held together to a three-dimensional network via extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions. The compound, with a new zig-zag conformation of metavanadate chains, is the first example of vanadium oxides incorporating trivalent transition metal coordination groups. Other characterizations by elemental analysis, IR and thermal analysis are also described.  相似文献

The solid–liquid equilibria of the ternary system H2O–Fe(NO3)3–Co(NO3)2 were studied by using a synthetic method based on conductivity measurements.

Two isotherms were established at 0 and 15 °C, and the stable solid phases which appear are the iron nitrate nonahydrate (Fe(NO3)3·9H2O), the iron nitrate hexahydrate (Fe(NO3)3·6H2O), the cobalt nitrate hexahydrate (Co(NO3)2·6H2O) and the cobalt nitrate trihydrate (Co(NO3)2·3H2O).  相似文献

Five new complexes of composition [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) (dpt=dipropylenetriamine), [Cu(dien)Ni(CN)4]·2H2O (2) (dien=diethylenetriamine), [Cu(N,N′-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (3) (N,N′-dimeen=N,N′-dimethylethylenediamine), [Cu(N,N-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (4) (N,N-dimeen=N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) and [Cu(trimeen)Ni(CN)4] (5) (trimeen=N,N,N′-trimethylethylenediamine) have been obtained by the reactions of the mixture of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, appropriate amine and K2[Ni(CN)4] in water and have been characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopies and magnetic measurements. The crystal structure of [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The structure of 1 consists of a one-dimensional polymeric chain ---Cu(dpt)---NC---Ni(CN)2---CN---Cu(dpt)--- in which the Cu(II) and Ni(II) atoms are linked by CN groups. The nickel atom is four coordinate with four cyanide-carbon atoms (two cyano groups are terminal and two cyano groups (in cis fashion) are bridged) in a square-planar arrangement and the copper atom is five coordinate with two cyanide-nitrogen and three dpt-nitrogen atoms, in a distorted square-pyramidal arrangement. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility (2–300 K) was measured for compound 1. The magnetic investigation showed the presence of a very weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J=−0.16 cm−1) between the copper atoms within each chain through the diamagnetic Ni(CN)4 2− ions.  相似文献

The reactions of Zn(NO3)2 · 6H2O and FeSO4 · 7H2O with 4-PDS (4-PDS = 4,4′-dipyridyldisulfide) and NH4SCN in CH3OH afforded the complexes [Zn(NCS)2(4-PDS)]n (1) and [Fe(NCS)2(4-PDS)2 · 4H2O]n (2), respectively, while the reaction of CoCl2 · 6H2O with 4-PDS in CH3OH gave the complex {[Co(4-PDS)2][Cl]2 · 2CH3OH}n, (3). These complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic methods and their structures determined by X-ray crystallography. The 4-PDS ligands in 1 are coordinated to the metal centers through the nitrogen atoms to form 1-D zigzag-chains, and the distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry at each zinc center is completed by a pair of N-bonded thiocyanate ligands. Compound 2 has a 1-D channel-chain structure and each octahedral Fe(II) metal center is coordinated by four 4-PDS ligands and two trans N-bonded thiocyanate ligands. Weak SS interactions in complex 1 link the 1-D chains into 2-D molecular sheets. In complex 2, the channel chains are interlinked through SS interactions to form molecular sheets, which interpenetrate through the SS interactions to form 3-D structures with large cavities that are occupied by the water molecules. Compound 3 also has a 1-D channel-chain structure with each square-planar Co(II) metal center coordinated by four 4-PDS ligands. Multiple C–HCl hydrogen bonds and SO interactions in 3 link the 1-D chains into 2-D structures.  相似文献

A potentially decadentate ligand, 1,1,4,7,10,10-hexakis(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolylmethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazadecane (tthd), has been synthesized from the reaction of tri-ethylenetetramine with six equivalents of N-hydroxymethyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazole. The tthd ligand forms coordination compounds, M2(tthd)(ClO4)4(H2O)x, when M is Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd and x = 4–8; and M2(tthd)(A)2(ClO4)2(H2O)x when M is Co and Ni, A is NCS or Cl, and x = 4–8. The cobalt compound, Co2(tthd)(ClO4)2(H2O)2(MeOH)1.75, crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1, a = 1.959(2), b = 1.5657(3), c = 2.1244(3) nm, = 105.5(1), β = 96.9(1), γ = 112.1(1). Due to severe disorder of the anions the structure could only be refined to an Rw, value of 0.099. The ligand acts as a decadentate, dinucleating ligand. The cobalt ions are distorted octahedrally surrounded by five N-atoms of the tthd ligand and an O-atom of water occupying the sixth coordination place. The other perchlorate compounds have very similar structures, as can be concluded from spectroscopic data.

In the thiocyanate and chloride compounds the anions have replaced the coordinated water molecules, resulting in octahedral Ni compounds. With Co thiocyanate, however, tthd acts as an octadentate ligand, resulting only in five-coordinated compounds.  相似文献

The syntheses and structural determination of NdIII and ErIII complexes with nitrilotriacetic acid (nta) were reported in this paper. Their crystal and molecular structures and compositions were determined by single-crystal X-ray structure analyses and elemental analyses, respectively. The crystal of K3[NdIII(nta)2(H2O)]·6H2O complex belongs to monoclinic crystal system and C2/c space group. The crystal data are as follows: a=1.5490(11) nm, b=1.3028(9) nm, c=2.6237(18) nm, β=96.803(10)°, V=5.257(6) nm3, Z=8, M=763.89, Dc=1.930 g cm−3, μ=2.535 mm−1 and F(000)=3048. The final R1 and wR1 are 0.0390 and 0.0703 for 4501 (I>2σ(I)) unique reflections, R2 and wR2 are 0.0758 and 0.0783 for all 10474 reflections, respectively. The NdIIIN2O7 part in the [NdIII(nta)2(H2O)]3− complex anion has a pseudo-monocapped square antiprismatic nine-coordinate structure in which the eight coordinate atoms (two N and six O) are from the two nta ligands and a water molecule coordinate to the central NdIII ion directly. The crystal of the K3[ErIII(nta)2(H2O)]·5H2O complex also belongs to monoclinic crystal system and C2/c space group. The crystal data are as follows: a=1.5343(5) nm, b=1.2880(4) nm, c=2.6154(8) nm, b=96.033(5)°, V=5.140(3) nm3, Z=8, M=768.89, Dc=1.987 g cm−3, μ=3.833 mm−1 and F(000)=3032. The final R1 and wR1 are 0.0321 and 0.0671 for 4445 (I>2σ(I)) unique reflections, R2 and wR2 are 0.0432 and 0.0699 for all 10207 reflections, respectively. The ErIIIN2O7 part in the [ErIII(nta)2(H2O)]3− complex anion has the same structure as NdIIIN2O7 part in which the eight coordinate atoms (two N and six O) are from the two nta ligands and a water molecule coordinate to the central NdIII ion directly.  相似文献

The sterically hindered zinc chalcogenolato complexes [Zn(EAr″)2]2 (E = S, Se; Ar″ = 2,4,6-But3C6H2) react with 1 equivalent of tert-butylisocyanide in non-coordinating solvents to give Zn(EC6H2But3)2(CNBut) (1, E = S; 2, E = Se) as thermally stable crystalline adducts; the compounds are thought to be chalcogenolato-bridged dimers. In the presence of excess isocyanide ligand the 1 : 2 adducts Zn(EAr″)2(CNBut)2 (3, E = S; 4, E = Se) are isolated. The compounds represent the first examples of well-characterized isocyanide complexes of zinc. The X-ray structure of 4 showed that it is monomeric with a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry of the metal centre, which reflects the steric requirements of the chalcogenolato and isocyanide ligands, respectively.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of the tripodal ligand (MPz3tren) of the general formula [Ni(MPz3tren)]X2·nH2O (X=Cl, Br, NO3, ClO4 and BF4; n=0 for Cl and Br; n=0.5 for NO3, ClO4 and BF4) have been prepared by template methodology and characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements at RT, IR and electronic spectra. The molar conductivities measured in MeOH for all the complexes show them to be 1:2 electrolytes. The hexadentate character of the ligand in all the complexes is inferred from IR spectral studies. The electronic spectra in solid state and in MeOH solution suggest octahedral geometry for all the complexes. The structure of [Ni(MPz3tren)](BF4)2·0.5H2O has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies (monoclinic, c2/c). Nickel(II) is in a trigonal antiprismatic N6 donor environment and the crystal structure is stabilised by a network of strong H-bonding.  相似文献

[Re2(Ala)4(H2O)8](ClO4)6 (Re=Eu, Er; Ala=alanine) were synthesized, and the low-temperature heat capacities of the two complexes were measured with a high-precision adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range from 80 to 370 K. For [Eu2(Ala)4(H2O)8](ClO4)6, two solid–solid phase transitions were found, one in the temperature range from 234.403 to 249.960 K, with peak temperature 243.050 K, the other in the range from 249.960 to 278.881 K, with peak temperature 270.155 K. For [Er2(Ala)4(H2O)8](ClO4)6, one solid–solid phase transition was observed in the range from 270.696 to 282.156 K, with peak temperature 278.970 K. The molar enthalpy increments, ΔHm, and entropy increments,ΔSm, of these phase transitions, were determined to be 455.6 J mol−1, 1.87 J K−1 mol−1 at 243.050 K; 2277 J mol−1, 8.43 J K−1 mol−1 at 270.155 K for [Eu2(Ala)4(H2O)8](ClO4)6; and 4442 J mol−1, 15.92 J K−1 mol−1 at 278.970 K for [Er2(Ala)4(H2O)8](ClO4)6. Thermal decompositions of the two complexes were investigated by use of the thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. A possible mechanism for the thermal decomposition is suggested.  相似文献

3,6,9-trioxaundecanedioic acid (3,6,9-tddaH2) reacts with Mn(CH3CO2)2·4H2O in ethanol to give [Mn(3,6,9-tdda)]·H2O (1). Recrystallization of 1 from methanol gives crystals of [Mn(3,6,9-tdda) (H2O)2]·2H2O (2). Complex 1 reacts with an ethanolic solution of 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) to give {[Mn(3,6,9-tdda)(phen)2]·3H2O·EtOH}n (3). All of the complexes are extremely water soluble. Complexes 2 and 3 were structurally characterised. The manganese(II) ion in 2 is seven coordinate, with an approximately pentagonal bipyramidal O7 coordination sphere. The axial donors are water molecules and the pentagonal plane is occupied by the diacid, acting as a pentadentate ligand through the three ethereal oxygens and one oxygen atom from each of the carboxylate functions. In complex 3 the manganese(II) ion is six-coordinate, being bound to two bidentate phenanthroline ligands and to the carboxylate oxygen atoms from two symmetry related diacids which are coordinated in a cis fashion. The structure consists of polymeric chains, with diacid ligands bridging the manganese ions. There is π-π stacking of pairs of phenanthroline ligands on adjacent chains, running along both the z and y directions.  相似文献

A new nitronyl nitroxide NIT2-bithph (1) and its manganese(II) compound [Mn(hfac)2(IMHBithph)]2·(NIT2-bithph)(C6H14) (2) (hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate; NIT2-bithph = 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(bithiophenal-2-yl)imidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide; IMHBithph = 1-hydroxy-2-bithiophenal-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro- 1H-imidazole) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The units of compound 1 were connected as one-dimensional chain by the intermolecular hydrogen bonds which afford an intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between nitronyl nitroxide radicals within the chain (J = −1.89 cm−1). Compound 2 resulting from the reaction of Mn(hfac)2·2H2O and NIT2-bithph is dinuclear and includes the reduced amidino-oxide form of NIT2-bithph, it is made up of three parts: a [Mn(hfac)2(IMHBithph)]2 dimer unit, an uncoordinated NIT2-bithph radical and a noncoordinated solvent molecule of hexane, the molecule of radical is hydrogen bonded to its reduced form. Two reduced IMHBithph ligands bridge the two manganese(II) ions through their amidino-oxide oxygen atoms resulting in a small intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the manganese ions (J = −1.55 cm−1).  相似文献

Mononuclear copper(II) complexes of a family of pyridylmethylamide ligands HL, HLMe, HLPh, HLMe3 and HLPh3, [HL = N-(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamide; HLMe = N-(2-pyridylmethyl)propionamide; HLPh = 2-phenyl-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamide; HLMe3 = 2,2-dimethyl-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)propionamide; HLPh3 = 2,2,2-triphenyl-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)acetamide], were synthesized and characterized. The reaction of copper(II) salts with the pyridylmethylamide ligands yields complexes [Cu(HL)2(OTf)2] (1), [Cu(HLMe)2](ClO4)2 (2), [Cu(HL)2Cl]2[CuCl4] (3), [Cu(HLMe3)2(THF)](OTf)2 (4), [Cu(HLMe3)2(H2O)](ClO4)2 (5a and 5b), [Cu(HLPh3)2(H2O)](ClO4)2 (6), [Cu(HL)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (7), and [Cu(HLPh)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (8). All complexes were fully characterized, and the X-ray structures vary from four-coordinate square-planar, to five-coordinate square-pyramidal or trigonal-bipyramidal. The neutral ligands coordinate via the pyridyl N atom and carbonyl O atom in a bidentate fashion. The spectroscopic properties are typical of mononuclear copper(II) species with similar ligand sets, and are consistent their X-ray structures.  相似文献

The title cobalt(III) complexes have been investigated by polarized absorption and Raman spectroscopies of the single crystals. The symmetry properties of the d-electron orbitals and of the vibrational modes attributable to the Raman bands of trans(Cl2)-[CoCl2(NH3)n(H2O)4−n]Cl complexes (n = 2, 3, or 4) were examined to elucidated the peculiar observation that ligand substitution causes no splitting of the 15 200-cm−1 absorption band and the 250-cm−1 Raman band. Effects of replacing the NH3 ligand with H2O on the electronic structure, atom–atom force constants and vibrational modes of these complex ions are briefly described.  相似文献
