New Scheelite-related solid solutions of the compositions Nax/2Bi1−x/2MoxV1−xO4 (0≤x≤1) and Bi1−x/3 MoxV1−xO4(0≤x≤0.2) have been synthesised by the substitution of Na and Mo at the A and B sites respectively of the ABO4 type ferroelastic BiVO4. The phases were characterised using chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, EDAX, and Raman spectroscopy. While almost a continuous solid solution is obtained for the series Nax/2Bi1−x/2MoxV1−xO4, the absence of Na at the A-site results only in a narrow stability region for the other series, Bi1−x/3 MoxV1−xO4 where 0≤x≤0.2. Raman spectra of selected samples at room temperature also suggest that vanadium and molybdenum atoms are disordered at the tetrahedral sites.  相似文献

Structural studies on the electron doped Ca1−xYxMnO3 are presented. At 300 K, orthorhombic O-phase was observed in all cases, associated to low electric resistivity and high Curie–Weiss temperature. For samples with x>0.07, structural phase transitions to more distorted orthorhombic and monoclinic phases were found at T<170K. In these phases only weak ferromagnetic interactions were observed.  相似文献

Samples of Bi2Sr2Ca1−xPrxCu2Oy have been characterized by resistivity and thermoelectric power measurements. All metallic samples show superconductivity with a maximum Tc = 90 K at X = 0.2. The sample of x = 0.6 shows a crossover from hopping conduction at low temperature above Tc to metallic conduction at high temperature. For the metallic samples below x = 0.6, the results of thermoelectric power are well fitted by both of a phenomenological band spectrum model and the Nagaosa and Lee model.  相似文献

The n = 2 Aurivillius phase Bi2 − xPbxSr1 − xNd2O9 was successfully synthesized as a ceramic material over the whole range of simultaneous, charge compensated substitution x = 0–1.0. Structural investigations were performed by Rietveld refinement applying different space groups Fmmm and A21am, and additionally by X-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS) on the Nd LIII-edge, confirming the accommodation of Nd on the atomic sites of Sr, which implies the substitution of Bi3+ by the isoelectronic Pb2+. The ferroelectric transition temperature Tc = 270 °C of the substituted powders with x = 0.4 and 1.0 is distinctly reduced compared to the unsubstituted sample with Tc = 450 °C. In temperature resolved powder X-ray diffraction patterns no structural phase transition could be detected.  相似文献

The structural, electrical and magnetic properties of the superconducting ferromagnets, Gd1.4−xDyxCe0.6Sr2RuCu2O10 (x=0–0.6) are systematically investigated as a function of Dy doping and temperature. These compounds are characterized by high temperature superconductivity (Tc ranging from 20 to 40 K depending upon the Dy content) co-existing with weak ferromagnetism with two magnetic transitions (TM2 ranging from 95 to 106 K and TM1 around 120 K). Doping with Dy gives no significant structural changes except for a minor change in the c/a ratio. However the superconducting transition temperature is significantly suppressed and magnetic ordering temperature enhanced on Dy doping. These effects are described and discussed.  相似文献

Structure and magnetic properties of the Zr1−xMnxCo2+δ alloys were studied for 0 x <0.7, δ=0, 0.45. The cubic C15 Laves phase structure shows Mn solubility up to x≈0.4. The other Laves phase with the hexagonal C36 structure found for x0.5 apparently has a small region of Mn solubility in the vicinity of Zr0.4Mn0.6Co2. Though the parent Mn-free compounds are known to be paramagnetic, the Mn-substituted alloys show ferromagnetic behavior with the Curie temperatures up to 625 K and the room-temperature saturation magnetization of about 100 emu/g. The onset of ferromagnetism with the Mn substitution for Zr may be caused by polarization of itinerant 3d electrons, like it was earlier supposed for the off-stoichiometric ZrCo2+δ. The universal composition dependencies of the intrinsic magnetic properties for different δ can be obtained, if plotted against the amount of zirconium atoms missing in its sublattice. The room-temperature anisotropy with the noticeable anisotropy field of 24 kOe and the 1 1 0 easy magnetization direction laying in a basal plane was found in the hexagonal Zr0.5Mn0.5Co2.  相似文献

Thin films of Cu, Y and BaF2 are co-condensed in ultrahigh vacuum onto SrTiO3 (1 0 0)-substrates at room temperature without any additional oxygen supply. It is found that the temperature of the ex situ fluorine-oxygen exchange reaction in flowing wet oxygen essentially determines whether the Y1Ba2Cu3O7 − x-phase (Tex = 850°C) or the Y2Ba4Cu8O16 − x-phase (Tex = 800°C) forms or any mixture of both phases in between. Small-angle X-ray diffraction verifies the strictly epitaxial growth of the superconducting phases. The variation of the composition around the ideal 1,2,3-stoichiometry affects only the superconducting and normal conducting properties which are measured using the four-probe Montgomery method. The values of the normal state resistivity and its temperature dependence are discussed in combination with a reduced cross section of the conduction paths in the films.  相似文献

The flux pinning behavior of a Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (Nd123) single crystal, which exhibited a peak effect, has been studied by monitoring the time decay of the magnetic moment. The apparent pinning energy (U0*) was deduced from flux creep data on the basis of the Anderson-Kim model. The magnetic field dependence of U0* showed maxima at peak fields which depended on the temperatures, in a similar manner to those of critical current densities. In addition, the temperature dependence of U0* showed several features. To explain the increase in U0* with the field as well as its temperature and field dependence, we made a numerical calculation by introducing an additional pinning energy which increased with increasing field. The results are in good agreement with the experimental data, especially at temperatures above 60 K, where the contribution of field induced pinning centers is believed to be dominant.  相似文献

Oxygen nonstoichiometry and electrical resistance of a series La2−xSrxNiOy solid solutions, where x=0.0, 0.2 and 0.5 in argon flows at oxygen partial pressures 1.5, 10.2, 49.2, 100 and 286 Pa within the temperature range of 20–1050°C were studied. Nickelate oxygen desorption/sorption spectra when heating–cooling at constant rate demonstrated strong dependence of cation composition of the samples. Unlike La1.5Sr0.5NiOy compounds those of La2NiOy and La1.8Sr0.2NiOy have weakly bonded oxygen, capable to exchange reversibly with the gas phase at the temperatures higher than 250°C. The equilibrium values of oxygen nonstoichiometry and specific resistance for the these nickelates were determined at 300–1050°C and pO2=1.5–286 Pa as a functions of temperature versus oxygen partial pressure. All nickelate studied appear to be p-type conductors with metal electric conductivity at equilibrium states.  相似文献

We present extensive measurements of anisotropic resistivity on Bi2Sr2CuOy crystals grown from melts with different Bi/Sr ratios and doped with Pb. We find that the temperature variation of the c-axis resistivity c(T) is correlated with the in-plane resistivity ab. Depending on the starting compositions, the normal-state in-plane resistivity ab can either show localized conduction at low temperature or be metallic (dab/dT < 0) in the whole temperature range. Correspondingly, a change of the T dependence of c from nonmetallic (dc/dT < 0) in the whole measured temperature range (4.2–300 K) to a mixed (dc/dT < 0 at low T but dc/dT> 0 at high T) conduction is observed. In accompany, the magnitude of c at low T decreases by about two orders. We have quantified the trend of the c(T) and examined some current proposals concerning the out-of-plane transport.  相似文献

The reduction of oxygen in the three phases gas–liquid–solid using a nickel nest as electrode with a La1−xSrxCoO3 (x=0, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1) series of combined oxides as a catalyst in different electrolytes of acidic H3PO4 or alkaline KOH, NaOH or LiOH solution at a fixed optimum oxygen flow-rate at room temperature was studied by the electrochemical method. The electrochemical parameters, such as electron transfer coefficient and exchange current density, were also determined. The La1−xSrxCoO3 series of catalysts was synthesized by a solid-state reaction. XRD was used to confirm the structure of the catalyst. BET, EDS and resistivity measurements were used to investigated the electrochemical behaviour of the cathodic reduction of oxygen in the presence of the catalyst. SEM was also used to inspect the change before and after the reaction with the catalyst. The electron transfer coefficients, β, from the experiments with the various catalysts in the different alkaline electrolytes were determined as follows:
β(in KOH)>β(in NaOH)>β(in LiOH).
It was discovered that La0.7Sr0.3CoO3 as a catalyst has a higher catalytic activity, a higher specific surface area, lower electrical resistivity, better stability and less agglomeration. Therefore, the above catalyst is the best catalyst for oxygen reduction of those studied.  相似文献

The y(1−y)-like maxima in Ni0.98S1−ySey are found beyond yc in the y-dependences of the coefficient of the T2 contribution to the resistivity and of the residual resistivity. The effects of Fe-substitution of YBa2Cu3Oy have been investigated by means of Raman scattering, X-ray diffraction, resistivity and susceptibility measurements. A series of samples of YBa2(Cu1 − xFex)3Oy with different dopant concentration (0 x 0.15) has been prepared in two batches, the second set having undergone twice the heat and mechanical treatment used to produce the first batch. Considerable improvement in the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, is obtained upon reprocessing. A phase transformation from orthorhombic to tetragonal symmetry is observed for x=0.05 from the X-ray measurements in agreement with previous work. Using a micro-Raman technique, all five Ag vibrational modes have been measured and their dependence on Fe-concentration is analyzed. There are indications that iron substitutes for copper at both sites and that the structure is a mixture of orthorhombic and tetragonal microdomains for all x.  相似文献

We have investigated the reversible mixed-state magnetization M of three lanthanum substituted Bi1.95Sr2.05−xLaxCuOy (Bi-2201) ceramic samples having different critical temperatures Tc ranging from 20.0 to 35.5 K. As for the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) phase, we found that anisotropy of Bi-2201 is large. A manifestation of this anisotropy is the field independent magnetization M* observed at a temperature T*. In the framework of the London model, and including thermal fluctuations of vortices, we found for the temperature dependence of the penetration depth λab(T) = λab(0)[1 − (T/Tc0)n]−1/2, with n 1.7 and λab (T = 0) 4000 Å. The estimated upper critical fields μ0Hc2,c are of the order of 10 T. We observe a peculiar negative slope M/T at low temperature and sufficiently high external magnetic field. This feature seems to be a characteristic of the Bi-2201 phase. However, we do not know whether it is associated with the superconducting mixed-state. A small amount of magnetic impurities could also be responsible for this behavior. Finally, the behavior of the reversible magnetization of the Bi-2201 samples investigated, which are situated at the optimal and in the overdoped region, did not indicate any unusual temperature dependence for the upper critical field Hc2,c.  相似文献

Oxide ion conductivity of the pure and aliovalent ion substituted rare-earth pyrohafnates in the series RE2−xSrxHf2O7 and RE2Hf2−xAlxO7 (RE=Gd and Nd; x=0–0.2) has been explored in the temperature range 400°C–700°C for the first time. It is seen that, conductivity is enhanced by doping 5 atom% Sr at the rare–earth site in these systems. Well defined impedance plots due to grain interior and grain boundary resistances were obtained in the Gd pyrohafnate with Sr substitution. The results of the conductivity variation for the pure, Sr and Al doped phases are explained on the basis of pyrochlore structure.  相似文献

Superconductivity reported at 110 K, and recently at 150–170 K, in the infinite-layered (SrxCa1−x)CuO2 system is investigated by means of the full potential linear muffin-tin orbital (FLMTO) method. As in other high-Tc cuprates, the electronic structure of the parent compounds, CaCuO2 and SrCuO2, and of the separately calculated composition Sr0.7Ca0.3CuO2 using the experimental lattice parameters, displays strong 2D features including a low density of states at EF (lower than in the other cuprates) and a simple 2D Fermi surface (rounded square) with strong nesting due to a single hybridized Cu d-O p band. As in La2CuO4, a major van Hove saddle-point singularity exists near EF. The drastic changes of the Fermi surface when Ca/Sr vacancies shift the Fermi energy to the van Hove singularity may have a strong influence on the superconducting properties of the compounds and indicate the need for Sr/Ca vacancies in inducing the high Tc.  相似文献

Pr substituted at constant Ca concentration for Y in (Y1−xyPrxCay)Ba2Cu3O7−δ superconductors have been prepared under identical conditions and the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of these samples are measured. The resistively determined values of Tc decrease linearly with increasing x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) for constant y = 0.10 and 0.15 which provides convincing evidence that the suppression of superconductivity by Pr is mainly due to magnetic pair breaking. The suppression of superconductivity can also be correlated to the observed changes in oxygen content determined by iodometric analysis and to the average Cu-valences. However, it is found that the observed suppression of Tc cannot be compensated by appropriate hole doping with Ca.  相似文献

The polarized Raman spectra of Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (−0.023≤x≤0.107) and Pr1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (0.01≤x≤0.15) single crystals have been investigated. It was found that the Cu(2) Ag mode softens by 6 cm−1 in Nd 1:2:3 and 4 cm−1 in Pr 1:2:3 as x increases. These frequency shifts cannot be explained by the change in the relevant bond lengths due to Nd(Pr)-substitution for Ba. The variations with x of the two low frequency modes may be affected by change of their hybridization and/or change of their force constants. The linewidths of Ba mode in Pr 1:2:3 are broader than those in Y 1:2:3. This result suggests that the Pr substitution on Ba sites occurred even in a very small value of x. In x(yy) geometry the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes in Nd 1:2:3 is greater than those in Pr 1:2:3. The difference between Nd 1:2:3 and Pr 1:2:3 in the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes may be produced by the chains.  相似文献

Single-phase polycrystalline samples of Bi1−xNdxFeO3 were prepared by standard solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the powder samples were recorded and analyzed for the confirmation of crystal structure lattice parameters. Further, these samples were characterized by IR technique to identify and understand the aspect of bonding in the present samples. The dielectric measurements were carried out on the samples as a function of frequency in the range 100 Hz to 1 MHz at room temperature and also as a function of temperature in the range 300–750 K at certain fixed frequencies. The DC and AC electrical resistivity studies were carried out in order to understand conduction mechanism in the samples.  相似文献

Single crystals with known Tc values of Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ (Y---Pr1:2:3) and YBa2Cu3−xZn3−xZnxO7−δ (Y---Zn1:2:3) systems are studied by Raman measurements. The Raman spectra for (Y---Pr1:2:3) single crystals show that the frequencies of Ba and Oz modes increase as the Pr content increases. The results are consistent with the hole-localization scheme proposed for the suppression of superconductivity in the polycrystalline Y---Pr1:2:3 systems. On the other hand, in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system, all the Raman modes do not change in frequencies. However, the FWHM of the Cu(2) mode increases with the decrease of Tc, indicating strong scattering of charge carriers by the substituted Zn ions in the CuO2 planes. The induced disorder in the CuO2 planes may be related with suppression of Tc in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system. Thus, the suppression mechanism in the Y---Zn1:2:3 systems seems to be different from that in the Y---Pr1:2:3 systems.  相似文献
