Reactions of CuX2.nH2O with the biscarboxylate ligand XDK (H2XDK = m-xylenediamine bis(Kemp's triacid imide)) in the presence of N-donor auxiliary ligands yielded a series of dicopper(II) complexes, [Cu2(mu-OH)(XDK)(L)2]X (L = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (tetmen), X = NO3 (1a), Cl (1b); L = N,N,N'-trimethylethylenediamine (tmen), X = NO3 (2a), Cl (2b); L =2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), X = NO3 (3); L = 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), X = NO3 (4); L = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (Me2bpy), X = NO3 (5); L = 4-methyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Mephen), X = NO3 (6)). Complexes 1-6 were characterized by X-ray crystallography (Cu...Cu = 3.1624(6)-3.2910(4) A), and the electrochemical and magnetic properties were also examined. Complexes 3 and 4 readily reacted with diphenyl phosphoric acid (HDPP) or bis(4-nitrophenyl) phosphoric acid (HBNPP) to give [Cu2(mu-phosphate)(XDK)(L)2]NO3 (L = bpy, phosphate = DPP (11); L = phen, phosphate = DPP (12), BNPP (13)), where the phsophate diester bridges the two copper ions in a mu-1,3-O,O' bidentate fashion (Cu...Cu = 4.268(3)-4.315(1) A). Complexes 4 and 6 with phen and Mephen have proven to be good precursors to accommodate a series of sugar monophosphate esters (Sugar-P) onto the biscarboxylate-bridged dicopper centers, yielding [Cu2(mu-Sugar-P)(XDK)(L)2] (Sugar-P = alpha-D-Glc-1-P (23a and b), D-Glc-6-P (24a and b), D-Man-6-P (25a), D-Fru-6-P (26a and b); L = phen (a), Mephen (b)) and [Cu2(mu-Gly-n-P)(XDK)(Mephen)2] (Gly-n-P = glycerol n-phosphate; n = 2 (21), 3 (22)), where Glc, Man, and Fru are glucose, mannose, and fructose, respectively. The structure of [Cu2(mu-MNPP)(XDK)(phen)2(CH3OH)] (20) was characterized as a reference compound (H2MNPP = 4-nitrophenyl phosphoric acid). Complexes 4 and 6 also reacted with d-fructose 1,6-bisphosphate (D-Fru-1,6-P2) to afford the tetranuclear copper(II) complexes formulated as [Cu4(mu-D-Fru-1,6-P2)(XDK)2(L)4] (L = phen (27a), Mephen (27b)). The detailed structure of 27a was determined by X-ray crystallography to involve two different tetranuclear complexes with alpha- and beta-anomers of D-Fru-1,6-P2, [Cu4(mu-alpha-D-Fru-1,6-P2)(XDK)2(phen)4] and [Cu4(mu-beta-D-Fru-1,6-P2)(XDK)2(phen)4], in which the D-Fru-1,6-P2 tetravalent anion bridges the two [Cu2(XDK)(phen)2]2+ units through the C1 and C6 phosphate groups in a mu-1,3-O,O' bidentate fashion (Cu...Cu = 4.042(2)-4.100(2) A). Notably, the structure with alpha-D-Fru-1,6-P2 demonstrated the presence of a strong hydrogen bond between the C2 hydroxyl group and the C1 phosphate oxygen atom, which may support the previously proposed catalytic mechanism in the active site of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase.  相似文献

Four new zinc phosphates [Zn(HPO4)(C6H9N3O2)] (1), [Zn(HPO4)(C4H6N2)].H2O (2), [Zn2(HPO4)2(C14H14N4)].2H2O (3), and [Zn(HPO4)(C14H14N4)] (4) were synthesized in the presence of d-histidine, 1-methylimidazole, 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (L1), and 1,2-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (L2), respectively, and their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. The inorganic framework of compounds 1, 2, and 3 is composed of vertex-shared ZnO3N and HPO4 tetrahedra that form four rings, which, in turn, are linked to generate a one-dimensional ladder structure. In 1 and 2 the organic groups (monoimidazole ligand) are located at each side of the ladders, while in 3 the bisimidazole ligand, 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, links the ladders together to form a novel 2D structure. Compound 1 is the first zinc phosphate framework to be templated by an N-bonded chiral amino acid. In 4 the zero-dimensional four rings are joined together by the linear bridging ligand, 1,2-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, to generate a one-dimensional framework with a new face-to-face structural motif. The 3D structure of compound 4 is stabilized by hydrogen-bonding, pi-pi interactions, and C-H...pi interactions. The approach of incorporating multifunctional ligands into zinc phosphate frameworks and linking the inorganic zinc phosphates subunits by an organic ligand provides opportunities for the design of new inorganic-organic open frameworks.  相似文献

Reactions of benzil bis(thiosemicarbazone), LH(6), with M(NO(3))(2).nH(2)O (M = Zn, Cd, and Ni), in the presence of LiOH.H(2)O, show the versatile behavior of this molecule. The structure of the ligand, with the thiosemicarbazone moieties on opposite sides of the carbon backbone, changes to form complexes by acting as a chelating molecule. Complexes of these metal ions with empirical formula [MLH(4)] were obtained, although they show different molecular structures depending on their coordinating preferences. The zinc complex is the first example of a crystalline coordination polymer in which a bis(thiosemicarbazone) acts as bridging ligand, through a nitrogen atom, giving a 1D polymeric structure. The coordination sphere is formed by the imine nitrogen and sulfur atoms, and the remaining position, in a square-based pyramid, is occupied by an amine group of another ligand. The cadmium derivative shows the same geometry around the metal ion but consists of a dinuclear structure with sulfur atoms acting as a bridge between the metal ions. However, in the nickel complex LH(6) acts as a N(2)S(2) ligand yielding a planar structure for the nickel atom. The ligand and its complexes have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, microanalysis, mass spectrometry, IR, (1)H, and (13)C NMR spectroscopies and for the cadmium complex by (113)Cd NMR in solution and in the solid state.  相似文献

To independently assess the contribution of ground-state pseudoallylic strain to the enormous rates of amide bond cleavage in tertiary amide derivatives of Kemp's triacid, we have studied four amide derivatives of (1alpha-3alpha-5beta)-5-tert-butyl-1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid. Our results demonstrate that absent pseudoallylic strain, a 1,3-diaxial interaction of an amide with a carboxylic acid leads to only a 2400-fold increase in the rate of amide bond cleavage as compared with the rate of hydrolysis of an unactivated peptide bond.  相似文献

Reactions of MCl(2).nH(2)O with N,N'-bis(D-glucopyranosyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane ((D-Glc)(2)-tacn), which was formed from D-glucose and 1,4,7-triazacyclononane (tacn) in situ, afforded a series of mononuclear divalent metal complexes with two beta-D-glucopyranosyl moieties, [M((D-Glc)(2)-tacn)Cl]Cl (M = Zn (11), Cu (12), Ni (13), Co (14)). Complexes 11-14 were characterized by analytical and spectroscopic measurements and X-ray crystallography and were found to have a distorted octahedral M(II) center ligated by the pentacoordinate N-glycoside ligand, (beta-D-glucopyranosyl)(2)-tacn, and a chloride anion. Each D-glucose moiety is tethered to the metal center through the beta-N-glycosidic bond with tacn and additionally coordinated via the C-2 hydroxyl group, resulting in a lambda-gauche five-membered chelate ring. When L-rhamnose (6-deoxy-L-mannose) was used instead of D-glucose, the nickel(II) complex with two beta-L-rhamnopyranosyl moieties, [Ni((D-Man)(2)-tacn)(MeOH)]Cl(2) (15), was obtained and characterized by an X-ray analysis. Reactions of 11 (M = Zn) with [Zn(XDK)(H(2)O)] (21) or [Cu(XDK)(py)(2)] (22) (H(2)XDK = m-xylylenediamine bis(Kemp's triacid imide)) yielded homo and heterotrimetallic complexes formulated as [Zn(2)M'((D-Glc)(2)-tacn)(2)(XDK)]Cl(2) (M' = Zn (31), Cu (32)). The similar reactions of 12 (M = Cu) with complex 21 or 22 afforded [Cu(2)M'((D-Glc)(2)-tacn)(2)(XDK)]Cl(2) (M' = Cu (33), Zn (34)). An X-ray crystallographic study revealed that complexes 31 and 34 have either Zn(II)(3) or Cu(II)Zn(II)Cu(II) trimetallic centers bridged by two carboxylate groups of XDK and two D-glucopyranosyl residues. The M...M' separations are 3.418(3)-3.462(3) A (31) and 3.414(1)-3.460(1) A (34), and the M...M'...M angles are 155.18(8) degrees (31) and 161.56(6) degrees (34). The terminal metal ions are octahedrally coordinated by the (D-Glc)(2)-tacn ligand through three nitrogen atoms of tacn, two oxygen atoms of the C-2 hydroxyl groups of the carbohydrates, and a carboxylate oxygen atom of XDK ligand. The central metal ions sit in a distorted octahedral environment ligated by four oxygen atoms of the carbohydrate residues in the (D-Glc)(2)-tacn ligands and two carboxylate oxygen atoms of XDK. The deprotonated beta-D-glucopyranosyl unit at the C-2 hydroxyl group bridges the terminal and central ions with the C-2 mu-alkoxo group, with the C-1 N-glycosidic amino and the C-3 hydroxyl groups coordinating to each metal center. Complexes 31-34 are the first examples of metal complexes in which D-glucose units act as bridging ligands. These structures could be very useful substrate binding models of xylose or glucose isomerases, which promote D-glucose D-fructose isomerization by using divalent dimetallic centers bridged by a glutamate residue.  相似文献

Reactions of the arene-linked bis(pyrazolyl)methane ligands m-bis[bis(1-pyrazolyl)methyl]benzene (m-[CH(pz)2]2C6H4, Lm) and 1,3,5-tris[bis(1-pyrazolyl)methyl]benzene (1,3,5-[CH(pz)2]3C6H3, L3) with BF4- salts of divalent iron, zinc, and cadmium result in fluoride abstraction from BF4- and formation of fluoride-bridged metallacyclic complexes. Treatment of Fe(BF4)2.6H2O and Zn(BF4)2.5H2O with Lm leads to the complexes [Fe2(mu-F)(mu-Lm)2](BF4)3 (1) and [Zn2(mu-F)(mu-Lm)2](BF4)3 (2), in which a single fluoride ligand and two Lm molecules bridge the two metal centers. The reaction of [Cd2(thf)5](BF4)4 with Lm results in the complex [Cd2(mu-F)2(mu-Lm)2](BF4)2 (3), which contains dimeric cations in which two fluoride and two Lm ligands bridge the cadmium centers. Equimolar amounts of the tritopic ligand L3 and Zn(BF4)2.5H2O react to give the related monofluoride-bridged complex [Zn2(mu-F)(mu-L3)2](BF4)3 (4), in which one bis(pyrazolyl)methane unit on each ligand remains unbound. NMR spectroscopic studies show that in acetonitrile the zinc metallacycles observed in the solid-state remain intact in solution.  相似文献

The bis(o-iminobenzosemiquinonato)copper(II) complex 1, containing the radical form [L(*)SQ](1-) arising from the aerial oxidation of the noninnocent ligand 2-anilino-4,6-di- tert-butylphenol, H2L, is readily oxidized by molecular bromine to a bis(o-iminobenzoquinone)copper(II) complex, 2. Thus, a ligand-based oxidative addition is reported for complex 1 containing an electron-rich Cu(II) d(9) metal ion. The crystal structure of the synthesized hexacoordinated complex [Cu(II)(LBQ)2Br2] (2) has been determined by X-ray crystallography at 100 K. Variable-temperature (2-290 K) magnetic susceptibility measurements and an X-band electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum establish the spin state to be St = 1/2 because of localized spin moments mainly in the (d(x(2)-y(2)))(1) orbital of a Cu(II) d(9) ion, indicating clearly the presence of a neutral iminobenzoquinone form, [LBQ](0), of the ligand in 2, as is found also in the X-ray structure. Electrochemical measurements (cyclic voltammograms and coulometry) indicate two successive one-electron reductions of the ligand. The reactivity of complex 2 as an oxidizing agent toward ethanol and triethylamine has been investigated.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of alpha-[Ru(azpy)2(NO3)2], 1, are reported (azpy is 2-(phenylazo)pyridine; alpha indicates the isomer in which the coordinating pairs ONO2, N(py), and N(azo) are cis, trans, and cis, respectively). The solid-state structure of 1 has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data: orthorhombic a = 15.423(5) A, b = 14.034(5) A, c = 10.970(5) A, V = 2374(2) A3, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) (No. 19), Z = 4, Dcalc = 1.655 g cm-3. The structure refinement converged at R1 = 0.042 and wR2 = 0.118 for 3615 unique reflections and 337 parameters. The octahedral complex shows monodentate coordination of the two nitrate ligands. The Ru-N(azo) bond distances (2.014(4) and 1.960(4) A), slightly shorter than the Ru-N(py) bonds (2.031(4) and 2.059(4) A), agree well with the pi-back-bonding ability of the azo groups. The binding of the DNA-model bases 9-ethylguanine (9egua) and guanosine (guo) to 1 has been studied and compared with previously obtained results for the binding of model bases to the bis(bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) complex. The ligands 9egua and guo appear to form monofunctional adducts, which have been isolated as alpha-[Ru(azpy)2(9egua)Cl]PF6, 2, alpha-[Ru(azpy)2(9egua)(H2O)]-(PF6)2, 3, alpha-[Ru(azpy)2(guo)(H2O)](PF6)2, 4, and alpha-[Ru(azpy)2(guo)Cl]Cl, 5. The orientations of 9egua and guo in these complexes have been determined in detail with the use of 2D NOESY NMR spectroscopy. In 2 and 5, H8 is directly pointed toward the coordinated Cl, whereas, in 3 and 4, H8 is wedged between the pyridine and phenyl rings. The guanine derivatives in the azpy complexes can have more orientations than found for related cis-[Ru(bpy)2Cl2] species. This fluxionality is considered to be important in the binding of the alpha-bis(2-(phenylazo)pyridine)ruthenium(II) complex to DNA. In complex 1, ruthenium is the chiral center and in the binding to guanosine, two diastereoisomers each of adducts 4 and 5 have been clearly identified by NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

The transition metal-directed self-assembly of dithiocarbamate ligand functionalized upper and lower rim calix[4]arenes affords novel dimeric bimetallic bis(calix[4]arene) species as determined by a combination of analytical methods including X-ray crystallography. An exception is a zinc(II) dithiocarbamate upper rim calix[4]arene assembly which is monomeric in nature. Electrochemical investigations reveal the bimetallic copper(II) bis(calix[4]arene) systems can electrochemically sense dihydrogen phosphate and carboxylate anions via significant cathodic perturbations of the respective copper(II)/(III) dithiocarbamate oxidation wave.  相似文献

The binuclear cobalt(II) amide complex [(CoL2)2-(TMEDA)] (1) [L = N(Si(t)BuMe2)(2-C5H3N-6-Me); TMEDA = Me2NCH2CH2NMe2] has been synthesized by the reaction of anhydrous CoCl2 with 2 equiv of [Li(L)(TMEDA)]. X-ray crystallography revealed that complex 1 consists of two [CoL2] units linked by one TMEDA ligand molecule, which binds in an unusual N,N'-bridging mode. Protolysis of 1 with the bulky phenol Ar(Me)OH (Ar(Me) = 2,6-(t)Bu2-4-MeC6H2) and thiophenol ArSH (Ar = 2,4,6-(t)Bu3C6H2) gives the neutral monomeric cobalt(II) bis(aryloxide) [Co(OAr(Me))2(TMEDA)] (2) and dithiolate [Co(SAr)2(TMEDA)] (3), respectively. Complexes 1-3 have been characterized by mass spectrometry, microanalysis, magnetic moment, and melting-point measurements, in addition to X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Three anisole building blocks featuring bis(hydroxymethyl) or bis(bromomethyl) pendants have been analyzed with regard to their molecular structures and packing behaviour. The compounds are ethyl 3,5‐bis(hydroxymethyl)‐4‐methoxybenzoate, C12H16O5, (I), [5‐bromo‐3‐(hydroxymethyl)‐2‐methoxyphenyl]methanol [or 4‐bromo‐2,6‐bis(hydroxymethyl)anisole], C9H11BrO3, (II), and 5‐bromo‐1,3‐bis(bromomethyl)‐2‐methoxybenzene [or 4‐bromo‐2,6‐bis(bromomethyl)anisole], C9H9Br3O, (III). A typical supramolecular pattern involved C—H…π interactions generating molecular stacks, while π–π interactions were only observed in the absence of bromine, indicating a striking influence on the distances between adjacent aromatic moieties. When comparing bis(hydroxymethyl) compound (II) with bis(bromomethyl) compound (III), we found that the strong O—H…O hydrogen bonds in a zigzag arrangement in the first are replaced by C—H…Br interactions in the second without a change in the general packing.  相似文献

The diphosphine 4,6-bis(3-diisopropylphosphinophenyl)dibenzofuran (abbreviated as (iPr)DPDBFphos) was prepared and studied for its potential as a trans-chelating ligand in transition-metal coordination complexes. In the rhodium norbornadiene complex [((iPr)DPDBFphos)Rh(NBD)]BF(4), which has been characterized with multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, and electrochemical studies, the ligand binds in cis fashion. In the bis(acetonitrile) complexes of rhodium and palladium [((iPr)DPDBFphos)M(CH(3)CN)(2)](BF(4))(n) (M = Rh, Pd; n = 1, 2), the ligand adopts a trans coordination geometry. Density functional theory (DFT, M06-L) calculations predict that the trans conformer is energetically more favorable than the cis by 3.5 kcal/mol. Cyclic voltammograms of the bis(acetonitrile) Pd(II) and Rh(I) complexes contain reversible and quasi-reversible reduction events, respectively, which are preliminarily assigned as metal-based redox reactions.  相似文献

The electronic structures of nickel and cobalt centers coordinated by two alpha-iminoketone ligands have been elucidated using density functional theory calculations and a host of physical methods such as X-ray crystallography, cyclic voltammetry, UV-vis spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In principle, alpha-iminoketone ligands can exist in three oxidation levels: the closed-shell neutral form (L)0, the closed-shell dianion (L(red))(2-), and the open-shell monoanion (L*)(-). Herein, the monoanionic pi-radical form (L*)(-) of alpha-iminoketones is characterized in the compounds [(L*)2Ni] (1) and [(L*)2Co] (3), where (L*)(-) is the one-electron-reduced form of the neutral ligand (t-Bu)N=CH-C(Ph)=O. The metal centers in 1 and 3 are divalent, high-spin, and coupled antiferromagnetically to two ligand pi radicals. These bis(ligand)metal complexes can be chemically oxidized by two electrons to give the dications [trans-(L)2Ni(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (2) and [trans-(L)2Co(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (4), wherein the ligands are in the neutral form.  相似文献

The diamino-dithiolato N2S2 ligand N,N'-bis-2-methyl-mercaptopropyl-N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine, H2bmmp-dmed), and its nickel (1) and zinc (2) complexes have been prepared and their reactivities with hydrogen peroxide investigated. Complex 1 yields a mixture of sulfenato (RSO-), 4, sulfinato (RSO2-), 3, and sulfonato (RSO3-), 5, products upon addition of H2O2. Products are separable by column chromatography. Stoichiometric addition of H2O2 to 2 yields an inseparable mixture. Excess peroxide addition results in oxygenation of the ligand to the disulfonate, 6, and decomplexation of zinc. Complexes 1, 2, and 3 and compound 6 have been investigated by X-ray crystallography, and their structures are reported. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of 1 and 2 reveal significant sulfur p character in the HOMO of each complex. However, 1 also shows significant metal d character that is pi-antibonding with respect to the sulfur p orbitals. Complex 2 shows little metal character in the HOMO. Implications of the HOMO with respect to S-centered reactivity and metal ligand distances in S-oxygenated products are provided.  相似文献

A route to various substituted phosphine phosphonic acid compounds of the general form Ar(2)PC(6)H(4)PO(OH)(2) (Ar = Ph, o-MeC(6)H(4), o-MeOC(6)H(4)) has been investigated. These compounds were employed as bidentate anionic [P,O] ligands in neutral palladium complexes. The [P,O] chelating coordination was determined by X-ray crystallography of a representative palladium complex. Furthermore, the bifunctional ligand Ph(2)PC(6)H(4)PO(OH)Ph represents the first example of a chelating anionic [P,O] ligand resulting from the combination of a phosphine and a phosphinate moiety.  相似文献

A family of new fluorescently labeled ligands, HRDATI, was prepared to develop transition-metal-based NO sensing strategies. The ligands are composed of aminotroponiminates (ATIs) with a dansyl fluorophore on one of the imine nitrogen atoms and an alkyl substituent, either i-Pr (8), t-Bu (9), or Bz (10), on the other. Bis(chelate) Co2+ ([Co(i-PrDATI)2] (12), [Co(t-BuDATI)2] (14), [Co(BzDATI)2] (15)) and Zn2+ ([Zn(i-PrDATI)2] (13)) complexes were prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The bis(ATI) complex [Co(i-Pr2ATI)2] (11) was also prepared and its X-ray crystal structure determined. Cyclic voltammetry reveals reversible redox waves at -2.57 and -0.045 V (vs Cp2Fe/Cp2Fe+) in THF for the Co2+/Co+ and Co3+/Co2+ couples, respectively, of 11. Only a Co2+/Co+ wave at -2.09 V is observed for 12. When excited at 350 nm, the HRDATI ligands and the diamagnetic Zn2+ complex 13 fluoresce around 500 nm, whereas the paramagnetic Co2+ complexes quench the fluorescence. These air-stable cobalt compounds react with nitric oxide to dissociate a DATI ligand and form neutral dinitrosyl complexes, [Co(NO)2(RDATI)]. The release of the fluorophore-containing ligand is accompanied by an increase in fluorescence intensity, thus providing a strategy for fluorescent NO sensing. Linking two DATI moieties via a tetramethylene chain affords the ligand H2DATI-4 (18). The Co2+ complex [Co(DATI-4)] (19) reacts more readily with NO than the bis(DATI) compounds and also displays an increase in fluorescence intensity upon NO binding.  相似文献

The reinvestigation of two allyl zinc compounds, parent bis(allyl)zinc [Zn(C(3)H(5))(2)] (1) and 2-methallyl chloro zinc [Zn(C(4)H(7))Cl] (2), revealed two new coordination modes in the solid state for the allyl ligand, viz cis- and trans-μ(2)-η(1):η(1). These results call for modification of the conventional interpretation of zinc-allyl interactions. Computational results indicate that the classical η(3)-bonding mode of the allyl ligand is not favored in zinc compounds. A rare case of a zinc-olefin interaction in the dimer of [Zn(η(1)-C(3)H(5))(OC(C(3)H(5))Ph(2))] was found in the monoinsertion product of 1 with benzophenone.  相似文献

Six novel 2-substituted analogues of 1alpha,25-dihydroxy-19-norvitamin D(3), 6a,b-8a,b, were efficiently synthesized utilizing (-)-quinic acid as the A-ring precursor. The C2-modified A-rings were prepared as 4-alkylated (3R,5R)-3,5-dihydroxycyclohexanones 12-15 from (-)-quinic acid based on radical allylation at the C4 position of methyl (-)-quinicate. The new type of the CD-ring coupling partner 23 was synthesized from 25-hydroxy Grundmann's ketone 19 to apply to the modified Julia olefination to construct a diene unit between the A-ring and the CD-ring. The coupling yields, including a deprotection step, were 47-62%. After the separation of the diastereomers based on C2 stereochemistry, the structure (2alpha or 2beta) was determined by (1)H NMR experiments and compared to DeLuca's 2-methyl- and 2-ethyl-1alpha,25-dihydroxy-19-norvitamin D(3). Thus, the synthesized 2alpha-(3-hydroxypropyl)-1alpha,25-dihydroxy-19-norvitamin D(3) (8a) showed almost the same potency in binding to the bovine thymus vitamin D receptor (VDR) as the natural hormone 1, while its beta-isomer 8b had only a 3% affinity. Both 2alpha-allyl- and 2alpha-propyl-1alpha,25-dihydroxy-19-norvitamin D(3) (6a and 7a) and their 2beta-analogues (6b and 7b) possessed a weak affinity for the VDR. The strong VDR ligand 8a was ca. 36-fold more potent in induction of HL-60 cell differentiation than 1, and interestingly, even the weaker ligand 8b showed a 6.7-fold higher potency in the cell differentiation activity than that of 1.  相似文献

The imidazolium salts [3-R1-1-{2-Ar-imino)-2-R2-ethyl}imidazolium] chloride (C-N; Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3; R1/R2 = Me/Me (a), Me/Ph (b), Ph/Me (c), 2,4,6-Me3C6H2 (d), 2,6-iPr2C6H3 (e)) react with Ag(2)O to give Ag(I) iminocarbene complexes (C-N)AgCl (4a-e) in which the iminocarbene ligand is bonded to Ag via the imidazoline-2-ylidene carbon atom. The solid-state structures of 4b and 4d were determined by X-ray crystallography and revealed the presence of monomeric (carbene)AgCl units with Z and E configurations at the imine C=N bonds, respectively. Carbene transfer to Pd occurs when compounds 4b-e are treated with (COD)PdCl2 to yield bis(carbene) complexes (C-N)2PdCl2 (6b-e) containing two kappa1-C bonded iminocarbene moieties. NMR spectroscopic data indicated a trans coordination geometry at Pd. This conclusion was supported by an X-ray structure determination of 6b which clearly demonstrated the non-chelating nature of the iminocarbene ligand system. EXSY 1H NMR spectroscopy suggests that the non-chelating structures undergo E/Z isomerization at the imine C[double bond, length as m-dash]N double bonds in solution. The preparative results contrast our earlier report that the reaction between 4a and (COD)PdCl2 results in a chelating kappa2-C,N bonded iminocarbene complex (C-N)PdCl2. The coordination mode and dynamic behavior of the iminocarbene ligand systems have been found to be dramatically affected by changes in the substitution pattern of the ligand system. Sterically unencumbered systems (a) favor the formation of kappa2-C,N chelate structures containing one iminocarbene moiety per metal upon coordination at Pd(II); these complexes were demonstrated to engage in reversible, solvent-mediated chelate ring-opening reactions. Sterically encumbered systems (b-e) form non-chelating kappa1-C iminocarbene Pd(II) complexes containing two iminocarbene ligands per metal.
