The nuclear g-factor of the 4498 keV 172+ isomeric state in 63Cu was measured with the in-bearn perturbed angular distribution method, through the 62Ni(α, p2nγ)63Cu reaction, to be gexp = 0.184 ± 0.012. This value is in good agreement with a semiempirical g-factor for the three-quasiparticle configuration [π2p32(v1f52, 1g92)7]172+ calculated using the experimental single-particle g-factors of neighbouring nuclei. At the same time the internal magnetic field at the Cu nuclei in Ni metal was obtained to be Bint = ?46.6 ± 1.3 kG.  相似文献

The measurements performed at 4.2 K with a Rayleigh type UHF interferometer at a frequency ω/2π = 36.0 GHz, using circular polarization, have revealed the existence of an anomaly in the dielectric constant of Cd0.17Hg0.83Te (namely, æ ? 175) and demonstrated but a slight dependence of the value upon the magnetic field for h?ωH~EF.  相似文献

The magnetic susceptibility measurements of orthorhombic U(OH)2SO4 within the temperature range 4.2–300 K have revealed a magnetic anomaly at TD = 21 K associated with crystallographic transition induced by the cooperative Jahn-Teller effect. Above 21 K the magnetic susceptibility of the uranium (4+) ion corresponds to the electronic ground doublet ¡MJ = ± 2〉 confirming thus the antiprismatic symmetry (D4d) of the crystal field at the uranium site. Below TD the system of two singlets (1√2)|2〉 ± (1√2)|2〉 separated by δ(T) is the ground state of the uranium ion.  相似文献

Measurements have been made of relative production cross sections of the Jψ by π±, K±, p and p? at 39.5 GeV/c incident on copper. Jψ production rates from π?, K? and p? are similar. The Jψ relative particle/anti-particle production cross sections for x>0 are σ(π+)σ(π?)=(0.87±0.14), σ(K+)/σ(K?)=(0.85±0.5) and σ(p)σ(p?)=(0.15 ±0.08). The small p/p? cross section ratio disagrees with models of J/ψ production by gluon amalgamation.  相似文献

Sources of 131I were prepared by implantation in iron foils. Nuclear orientation of these sources was obtained by cooling them to temperatures of 30 to 50 mK using a dilution refrigerator and saturating the iron by an external magnetic field. Anisotropies of angular distributions of eleven γ-transitions in 131Xe have been measured, yielding the following results: the levels at 405 and 637 keV are 32(+) and 72(+) states and the assignment 52(+) for the level a keV is confirmed. Deduced values of E2/M1 multipole mixing ratios are (energies in keV): ?0.5 ≦ δ(318) ≦ + 0.2; δ(364) = ?4.53±0.12; + 0.2 ≦ δ(405) ≦ +2.0; δ(723) = +0.207 ± 0.005. The allowed β-decay branch to the level at 637 keV is for at least 90% of the Gamow- Teller type.  相似文献

Attenuation α and dispersion D=u(ω) ? u(0) of first sound have been measured in a 19.4% 3He-4He mixture for frequencies 2.25 kHz?ω?594 kKz, and at temperatures 1 μK?|T ? Tλ|?10 mK. They are interpreted as arising from a relaxation and a fluctuation process.  相似文献

We present data obtained at the ISR, on the determination of the ratio R = γπ0ats = 30.6 GeV and we compare the results with our previous measurement at s = 53.2 GeV. The ratio R =γπ0 integrated over the interval 0.1 ? χT ? 0.2 is (1.6 ± 0.5) × 10?2 and we obtain an indication of a universal χT dependence.  相似文献

The nuclear spin—lattice relaxations of 93mMoFe and 94, 95TcFe at T ? 10 mK have been investigated with frequency- modulation-pulsedNMR on oriented nuclei as a function of an external magnetic field B0. In the range 0?B0?6kG the relaxation constant varies by a factor >10 and ?6 for 93mMoFe and 94,95TcFe, respectively. The high-field Korringa constants for 93mMo, 94Tc and 95Tc in Fe were determined to be 2.5(4), 1.3(4) and 0.55(10) sK.  相似文献

We report the first observation of the decay ?′→?π+π?l+l?π+π?. The 7 events seen yield a branching ratio B(?′→+π?)=(19±8)%. A consistent value of B=(26±13)% is obtained from the charged multiplicities of the ?′ and ? decays. Using these values we deduce Γtot(?′)=(31+10?8) keV and Bee(?′)=(1.8±0.5)%. Furthermore we estimate Γ(?′→gg?)=(10±5) keV in agreement with QCD predictions using vector gluons while one would expect 100 keV with scalar gluons.  相似文献

The effect of fluctuating Cooper pairs on the diamagnetic susceptibility of dirty superconducting thin films is investigated, for temperature T < Tc. The susceptibility decreases with the decrease in temperature, approaching ?14π at T = 0°K and remains finite at T = Tc.  相似文献

We have measured the branching fractions of the A2? meson, produced in the reaction π?p → pA2? at 3.9 GeV/c incident momentum. The rates for the ηπ and KK modes relative to are 0.211 ± 0.044 and 0.056 ± 0.014, respectively. The upper limit for the ηπ mode is 0.056 at the 90% confidence level. We have also looked for an ωππ decay of the A2? and our data are consistent with a rate of 0.10 ± 0.05, relative to .  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility, specific heat and 133Cs magnetic resonance measurements in a single crystal of CsNiBr3 are reported. The data reveal two magnetic transitions separating the paramagnetic phase from the antiferromagnetic ground state. At the higher transition temperature TN2 = (14.25 ± 0.05)K a net magnetic moment is observed only along the hexagonal c-axis, while only below the lower transition temperature TN1 = (11.75 ± 0.05)K a perpendicular component of the magnetic moment appears also. Above TN2 CsNiBr3 can be described as a one-dimensional antiferromagnet with intrachain exchange interaction JkB = ?(17.0 ± 0.2)K and single-ion anisotropy constant DkB ? ?1.5K. Below TN1, the data are consistent with the non-colinear triangular structure of the Ni2+ moments proposed previously for the isomorphic crystal CsNiCl3. A reduced value of the zero-temperature susceptibility over the classical value is found and atrributed to the zero point deviations.  相似文献

The compound BaCaFe4O8 crystallizes in the trigonal space group P31m with one formula unit per unit cell with lattice constants a = 5.4059 A and c = 7.7023 A Neutron diffraction measurements carried out on a powder sample over the temperature range 300–900 K showed that the compound undergoes a magnetic transition to an antiferromagnetic state at a Néel temperature TN = 680 ± 5 K. Analysis of the room temperature neutron diffraction pattern gave a magnetic unit cell that has the same periodicty as the crystallographic one. An antiferromagnetic model is proposed with the iron spin magnetic moments parallel to the c-axis of the unit cell. The magnetic moment of the Fe3+ ion was found to be (4.5 ± 0.1)μB  相似文献

We have measured the upper critical field, Hc2, of alloys of the form [(La.993Lu.007)1?xGdx]Ru2. For large (x?0.02) concentrations of Gd, the critical fields are re-entrant. For small (x?0.01) concentrations of Gd, the critical fields cross the pure sample critical fields and rise above them due to compensation of the externally applied magnetic field by the negative effective internal field of the magnetic impurity. Compensation occurs at relatively low fields (25 KG) in this system as a result of substantial exchange enhancement. From the concentration and critical field of the most compensated sample, we find a value for the exchange integral, J(0) = ?(15+?2) meV, and a susceptibility enhancement factor in excellent agreement with EPR, specific heat and static susceptibility measurements.  相似文献

A study is presented of the inclusive production cross sections of K(892) vector mesons in pp interactions at 12 and 24 GeV/c and in π+p interactions at 16 GeV/c. The K inclusive cross section is ~0.9 mb for both pp at 24 GeV/c and π+p interactions at 16 GeV/c. For pp interactions, σ(K1+) and σ(K1?) are seen to rise with energy, showing a threshold behaviour. In both pp and π+p interactions, σ(K1+) largely exceeds σ(K1?) at these energies and this excess is interpreted as K1+ production by beam and target fragmentations. The decays of K1±0 yield ~30% of the K0 observed in the final states. The pT2 dependence of both K1+ and K1? cross sections is described by an exponential with slope of ~3.3 (GeV/c)?2. The longitudinal momentum spectra for K1+ in 16 GeV/cπ+p and 24 GeV/c pp interactions are similar in shape in the target hemisphere. The K1? spectra are similar over the whole kinematic region when viewed in the quark c.m.s. and point to a central production mechanism. Comparing K1+ and ρ0 production, striking similarities are found.  相似文献

The 59Co NMR in a CsCoCl3 single crystal has been observed by the spin echo method at 4.2 K. The obtained spectrum is composed of seven distinct lines split by the nuclear-quadrupole interaction. The frequency of the central (± 12 ? ± 12) transition 502.08±0.05 MHz corresponds to the hyperfine field of 499.38 ± 0.05 kOe, which agrees well with the calculated value. Due to the interaction of the nucleus with the electronic moment induced by the external field, a shift as large as 18% was observed for the nuclear g-factor.  相似文献

We present the results of a search for a resonance at 2.6 GeV decaying into KS0π±π+π? in the six-prong plus KS0 final state in 14.75 GeV/cpp interactions. We do not find confirming evidence, and with 95% confidence we quote an upper limit of σ·BR < 21 ub.  相似文献

J/ψ production at 40 GeV/c by π±, K±, p and p incident on hydrogen has been studied and results compared with those obtained on tungsten in the same experiment. On hydrogen, J/ψ cross-section ratios relative to π? have been measured to be (for xF > 0) σ(π?) : σ(π+) : σ(p) : σ(p) = 1 : (0.78 ± 0.09) : (0.83 ± 0.35) : (0.07 ± 0.04). The suppression of the proton induced cross sections shows the importance of calence quark-antiquark fusiin J/ψ production at this energy (i.e. MJ2/ψ/s=0.13).  相似文献

Results on K1(890) production in K?p → NKπ reactions at 16 GeV/c are presented. Total cross sections, differential cross sections and density matrix elements are determined. It is found that: (i) The cross section for K1?(890) p is consistent with containing two components, one due to natural parity exchange, falling slowly with increasing energy, the other, due to unnatural parity exchange, vanishing rapidly with increasing energy. For K1o(890)n, the cross section decreases steadily as the energy increases. (ii) Natural spin-parity exchange dominates in the K1?(890) p channel, the unnatural exchange contribution being approximately (5±4)%. In K1o(890)n, natural spin-parity exchange is only about (30±10)%. (iii) The reacton K?pK1?(890)p is dominated (95±5)% by isoscalar exchange. (iv) The effective trajectory involved in the I = 0 natural parity exchange is consistent with the ω-f trajectory. (v) Interference terms between exchanges with positive (f, πo,…) and negative (?o, ω,…) C-conjugation amount to (23±12) μb at 16 GeV/c.  相似文献

The Curie-Weiss constant θ of the quasi b.c.c., S = 12, Heisenberg ferromagnets, (NH4)2 Cu Br4 · 2H2 O and Rb2 Cu Br4 · 2H2 O, have been derived from measurements of the susceptibility in the paramagnetic region (4.2 < T < 100 K) and of the high-field magnetization curves at T = 4.2 K (TTc ? 2.3). The Tcθ values obtained point to the presence of further neighbour interactions considerably stronger than previously assumed. The effective number of equivalently interacting magnetic neighbours is estimated to be at least seventeen.  相似文献
