The notion of a bead metric space defined here (see Definition 6) is a nice generalization of that of the uniformly convex normed space. In turn, the idea of a central point for a mapping when combined with the “single central point” property of the bead spaces enables us to obtain strong and elegant extensions of the Browder-Göhde-Kirk fixed point theorem for nonexpansive mappings (see Theorems 14-17). Their proofs are based on a very simple reasoning. We also prove two theorems on continuous selections for metric and Hilbert spaces. They are followed by fixed point theorems of Schauder type. In the final part we obtain a result on nonempty intersection.  相似文献

We establish △-convergence and strong convergence theorems for an iterative process for a finite family of generalized nonexpansive multivalued mappings in a CAT(0) space. Moreover, we present a fixed point theorem for a pair consisting of a finite family of generalized nonexpansive single valued mappings, and a generalized nonexpansive multivalued mapping in CAT(0) spaces.  相似文献

Common fixed point results for families of single-valued nonexpansive or quasi-nonexpansive mappings and multivalued upper semicontinuous, almost lower semicontinuous or nonexpansive mappings are proved either in CAT(0) spaces or R-trees. It is also shown that the fixed point set of quasi-nonexpansive self-mapping of a nonempty closed convex subset of a CAT(0) space is always nonempty closed and convex.  相似文献

We prove a strong convergence theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings which includes Kirk’s convergence theorem on CAT(0) spaces. The theorem properly contains a result of Jung for Hilbert spaces. We then apply the result to approximate a common fixed point of a countable family of single-valued nonexpansive mappings and a compact valued nonexpansive mapping.  相似文献

A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce and investigate the concept of multivalued hybrid mappings in CAT(0) spaces by using the concept of quasilinearization. Also, we present a new iterative algorithm involving products of Moreau-Yosida resolvents for finding a common element of the set of minimizers of a finite family of convex functions and a common fixed point of two multivalued hybrid mappings in CAT(0) spaces.  相似文献

In this work, we present some new versions of fixed point theorems for nonexpansive maps and 1-set contractions defined on closed, convex, not necessarily bounded subsets of Banach spaces. Our proofs rely on a compactness result for an approximate fixed point set. The Kuratowski measure of noncompactness is used throughout. To illustrate the results obtained, some applications to Banach algebras and Hammerstein integral equations are provided.  相似文献

First, we consider a strongly continuous semigroup of nonexpansive mappings defined on a closed convex subset of a complete CAT(0) space and prove a convergence of a Mann iteration to a common fixed point of the mappings. This result is motivated by a result of Kirk (2002) and of Suzuki (2002). Second, we obtain a result on limits of subsequences of Mann iterations of multivalued nonexpansive mappings on metric spaces of hyperbolic type, which leads to a convergence theorem for nonexpansive mappings on these spaces.  相似文献

Two fixed point theorems for uniformly lipschitzian mappings in metric spaces, due respectively to E. Lifšic and to T.-C. Lim and H.-K. Xu, are compared within the framework of the so-called CAT(0) spaces. It is shown that both results apply in this setting, and that Lifšic’s theorem gives a sharper result. Also, a new property is introduced that yields a fixed point theorem for uniformly lipschitzian mappings in a class of hyperconvex spaces, a class which includes those possessing property (P)(P) of Lim and Xu.  相似文献

Several characterizations of MT-functions are first given in this paper. Applying the characterizations of MT-functions, we establish some existence theorems for coincidence point and fixed point in complete metric spaces. From these results, we can obtain new generalizations of Berinde-Berinde?s fixed point theorem and Mizoguchi-Takahashi?s fixed point theorem for nonlinear multivalued contractive maps. Our results generalize and improve some main results in the literature.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55] and Xu [Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004) 279–291] to the case of finite mappings. In this paper, we show a relationship between strictly convexity of type (I) and (II) defined by Takahashi and Talman, and we prove that any uniformly convex metric space is strictly convex of type (II). Continuity of the convex structure is also shown on a compact domain. Then, we prove the existence of a minimum point of a convex, lower semicontinuous and d-coercive function defined on a nonempty closed convex subset of a complete uniformly convex metric space. By using this property, we prove fixed point theorems for (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in uniformly convex metric spaces. Using this result, we also obtain a common fixed point theorem for a countable commutative family of (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in uniformly convex metric spaces. Finally, we establish strong convergence of a Mann type iteration to a fixed point of (α, β)-generalized hybrid mapping in a uniformly convex metric space without assuming continuity of convex structure. Our results can be applied to obtain the existence and convergence theorems for (α, β)-generalized hybrid mappings in Hilbert spaces, uniformly convex Banach spaces and CAT(0) spaces.  相似文献

In the paper “Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces” by Sedghi et al. [S. Sedghi, I. Altun, N. Shobec, Coupled fixed point theorems for contractions in fuzzy metric spaces, Nonlinear Analysis 72 (2010) 1298-1304], a coupled common fixed point result was presented. However, our purpose is to show that this result and its proof are false. We give a counterexample and also explain how to correct this result. As a modification, we state and prove a coupled fixed point theorem under some hypotheses of fuzzy metric and t-norm.  相似文献

In this paper, the class of nonspreading mappings in Banach spaces is introduced. This class contains the recently introduced class of firmly nonexpansive type mappings in Banach spaces and the class of firmly nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Among other things, we obtain a fixed point theorem for a single nonspreading mapping in Banach spaces. Using this result, we also obtain a common fixed point theorem for a commutative family of nonspreading mappings in Banach spaces. Received: 10 August 2007  相似文献

A note on cone metric fixed point theory and its equivalence   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the equivalence of vectorial versions of fixed point theorems in generalized cone metric spaces and scalar versions of fixed point theorems in (general) metric spaces (in usual sense). We show that the Banach contraction principles in general metric spaces and in TVS-cone metric spaces are equivalent. Our theorems also extend some results in Huang and Zhang (2007) [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476], Rezapour and Hamlbarani (2008) [Sh. Rezapour, R. The purpose of this paper is to study the strong convergence of a general iterative scheme to find a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping, the set of solutions of variational inequality for a relaxed cocoercive mapping and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem. Our results extend the recent results of Takahashi and Takahashi [S. Takahashi, W. Takahashi, Viscosity approximation methods for equilibrium problems and fixed point problems in Hilbert spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 331 (2007) 506–515], Marino and Xu [G. Marino, H.K. Xu, A general iterative method for nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces, J. Math. Anal. In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We also establish a new control condition for the sequence of mappings {Tn} which is weaker than the control condition in Lemma 3.1 of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi and M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360]. Moreover, we apply our results for finding a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and an element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space, respectively. Our results are applicable to a wide class of mappings.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a modified Ishikawa iterative process for approximating a fixed point of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. We establish some strong convergence theorems of the general iteration scheme under some mild conditions. The results improve and extend the corresponding results of many others.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two closed hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Finally, a new simplified hybrid algorithm has been proposed and relative convergence theorem has been proved by using the new method for proofs. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita, Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Takahashi, A strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, J. Approx. Theory 134 (2005) 257–266] and the results of Plubtieng, Ungchittrakool [S. Plubtieng, K. Ungchittrakool, Strong convergence theorems for a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, J. Approx. Theory 149 (2007) 103–115], and many others.  相似文献
