Let B(EF) be the Banach Space of all continuous linear operators from a Banach Space E into a Banach space F. Let UX and UY be balanced open subsets of Banach spaces X and Y, respectively. Let V and W be two Nachbin families of continuous weights on UX and UY, respectively. Let HV(UXE) (or HV0(UXE)) and HW(UYF) (or HW0(UYF)) be the weighted spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions. In this paper, we investigate the holomorphic mappings ? : UY → UX and ψ : UY → B(EF) which generate weighted composition operators between these weighted spaces.  相似文献

Let X be an n-element set and T a family of k-subsets of X. Let r be an integer, k > r ? 2. Suppose that T does not contain r + 1 members having empty intersection such that any r of them intersect non-trivially. Chvátal and Erdös conjectured that for (r + 1) k ? rn we have |F|?n?1k?1. In this paper we first prove that This conjecture holds asymptotically (Theory 1). In Theorems 4 and 5 we prove it for r = 2, K ? 5, n > no(k); k ? 3r, n > no(k, r), respectively.  相似文献

Let X be a locally finite simplicial complex of dimension n, n? 5, equipped with a k-fold end structure [4] and consider a piecewise linear (n + 1)-dimensional manifold M that is proper homotopy equivalent to X × R by F:MX × R, where R is the set of real numbers. The question arises as to whether or not the manifold M can be split, i.e., written as M = N × R where N is a n-manifold and where there is a proper homotopy between F and (p1 ° F0) × id:N × RX × R, preserving the natural (k+1)-fold end structure, where F0 is F|N and p1 is the projection X × RX. Of particular significance is the fact that X is noncompact. When the construction of such splittings is attempted, algebraic obstructions arise, which vanish if and only if the construction can be completed. This paper develops such an obstruction theory by utilizing methods of L.C. Siebenmann and the k-fold end structures of F. Waldhausen.  相似文献

We show that the fundamental group-scheme of a separably rationally connected variety defined over an algebraically closed field is trivial. Let X be a geometrically irreducible smooth projective variety defined over a finite field k admitting a k-rational point. Let {En,σn}n?0 be a flat principal G-bundle over X, where G is a reductive linear algebraic group defined over k. We show that there is a positive integer a such that the principal G-bundle is isomorphic to E0, where FX is the absolute Frobenius morphism of X. From this it follows that E0 is given by a representation of the fundamental group-scheme of X in G.  相似文献

Consider the space of Drinfeld modular forms of fixed weight and type for Γ0(n)⊂GL2(Fq[T]). It has a linear form bn, given by the coefficient of tm+n(q−1) in the power series expansion of a type m modular form at the cusp infinity, with respect to the uniformizer t. It also has an action of a Hecke algebra. Our aim is to study the Hecke module spanned by b1. We give elements in the Hecke annihilator of b1. Some of them are expected to be nontrivial and such a phenomenon does not occur for classical modular forms. Moreover, we show that the Hecke module considered is spanned by coefficients bn, where n runs through an infinite set of integers. As a consequence, for any Drinfeld Hecke eigenform, we can compute explicitly certain coefficients in terms of the eigenvalues. We give an application to coefficients of the Drinfeld Hecke eigenform h.  相似文献

Let F be a field with ∣F∣ > 2 and Tn(F) be the set of all n × n upper triangular matrices, where n ? 2. Let k ? 2 be a given integer. A k-tuple of matrices A1, …, Ak ∈ Tn(F) is called rank reverse permutable if rank(A1 A2 ? Ak) = rank(Ak Ak−1 ? A1). We characterize the linear maps on Tn(F) that strongly preserve the set of rank reverse permutable matrix k-tuples.  相似文献

Let Mm,n(F) denote the space of all mXn matrices over the algebraically closed field F. A subspace of Mm,n(F), all of whose nonzero elements have rank k, is said to be essentially decomposable if there exist nonsingular mXn matrices U and V respectively such that for any element A, UAV has the form
UAV=A1A2A30
where A1 is iX(k–i) for some i?k. Theorem: If K is a space of rank k matrices, then either K is essentially decomposable or dim K?k+1. An example shows that the above bound on non-essentially-decomposable spaces of rank k matrices is sharp whenever n?2k–1.  相似文献

Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero and ℘ a prime ideal in k[X]?k[X1,…,Xn]. Let gk[X] and d?1. If for all 1?|α|?d the derivatives αg belong to ℘, then there exists ck such that g−c∈℘(d+1), the d+1th symbolic power of ℘. In particular, if ℘ is a complete intersection it follows that g−c∈℘d+1.  相似文献

We investigate relationships between polyvectors of a vector space V, alternating multilinear forms on V, hyperplanes of projective Grassmannians and regular spreads of projective spaces. Suppose V is an n-dimensional vector space over a field F and that An-1,k(F) is the Grassmannian of the (k − 1)-dimensional subspaces of PG(V) (1  ? k ? n − 1). With each hyperplane H of An-1,k(F), we associate an (n − k)-vector of V (i.e., a vector of ∧nkV) which we will call a representative vector of H. One of the problems which we consider is the isomorphism problem of hyperplanes of An-1,k(F), i.e., how isomorphism of hyperplanes can be recognized in terms of their representative vectors. Special attention is paid here to the case n = 2k and to those isomorphisms which arise from dualities of PG(V). We also prove that with each regular spread of the projective space PG(2k-1,F), there is associated some class of isomorphic hyperplanes of the Grassmannian A2k-1,k(F), and we study some properties of these hyperplanes. The above investigations allow us to obtain a new proof for the classification, up to equivalence, of the trivectors of a 6-dimensional vector space over an arbitrary field F, and to obtain a classification, up to isomorphism, of all hyperplanes of A5,3(F).  相似文献

Let X1,X2,… be i.i.d. random variables with a continuous distribution function. Let R0=0, Rk=min{j>Rk?1, such that Xj>Xj+1}, k?1. We prove that all finite-dimensional distributions of a process W(n)(t)=(R[nt]?2[nt])23n, t ? [0,1], converge to those of the standard Brownian motion.  相似文献

Let k≥2 be an integer. An abeliankth power is a word of the form X1X2?Xk where Xi is a permutation of X1 for 2≤ik. A word W is said to be crucial with respect to abelian kth powers if W avoids abelian kth powers, but Wx ends with an abelian kth power for any letter x occurring in W.Evdokimov and Kitaev (2004) [2] have shown that the shortest length of a crucial word on n letters avoiding abelian squares is 4n−7 for n≥3. Furthermore, Glen et al. (2009) [3] proved that this length for abelian cubes is 9n−13 for n≥5. They have also conjectured that for any k≥4 and sufficiently large n, the shortest length of a crucial word on n letters avoiding abelian kth powers, denoted by ?k(n), is k2n−(k2+k+1). This is currently the best known upper bound for ?k(n), and the best known lower bound, provided in Glen et al., is 3kn−(4k+1) for n≥5 and k≥4. In this note, we improve this lower bound by proving that for n≥2k−1, ?k(n)≥k2n−(2k3−3k2+k+1); thus showing that the aforementioned conjecture is true asymptotically (up to a constant term) for growing n.  相似文献

Let X be a normal projective variety defined over an algebraically closed field k. Let |O X (1)| be a very ample invertible sheaf on X. Let G be an affine algebraic group defined over k. Let E G and F G be two principal G-bundles on X. Then there exists an integer n > > 0 (depending on E G and F G ) such that if the restrictions of E G and F G to a curve C ∈ |O X (n)| are isomorphic, then they are isomorphic on all of X.  相似文献

Let k1 ? k2? ? ? kn be given positive integers and let S denote the set of vectors x = (x1, x2, … ,xn) with integer components satisfying 0 ? x1 ? kni = 1, 2, …, n. Let X be a subset of S (l)X denotes the subset of X consisting of vectors with component sum l; F(m, X) denotes the lexicographically first m vectors of X; ?X denotes the set of vectors in S obtainable by subtracting 1 from a component of a vector in X; |X| is the number of vectors in X. In this paper it is shown that |?F(e, (l)S)| is an increasing function of l for fixed e and is a subadditive function of e for fixed l.  相似文献

Let (Xn)n?N be a sequence of real, independent, not necessarily identically distributed random variables (r.v.) with distribution functions FXn, and Sn = Σi=1nXi. The authors present limit theorems together with convergence rates for the normalized sums ?(n)Sn, where ?: NR+, ?(n) → 0, n → ∞, towards appropriate limiting r.v. X, the convergence being taken in the weak (star) sense. Thus higher order estimates are given for the expression ∝Rf(x) d[F?(n)Sn(x) ? FX(x)] which depend upon the normalizing function ?, decomposability properties of X and smoothness properties of the function f under consideration. The general theorems of this unified approach subsume O- and o-higher order error estimates based upon assumptions on associated moments. These results are also extended to multi-dimensional random vectors.  相似文献

Let G be a finite abelian group of order n and Davenport constant D(G). Let S=0h(S)gGgvg(S)∈F(G) be a sequence with a maximal multiplicity h(S) attained by 0 and t=|S|?n+D(G)−1. Then 0∈k(S) for every 1?k?t+1−D(G). This is a refinement of the fundamental result of Gao [W.D. Gao, A combinatorial problem on finite abelian groups, J. Number Theory 58 (1996) 100-103].  相似文献

Let X be a finite-dimensional compactum. Let R(X) and N(X) be the spaces of retractions and non-deformation retractions of X, respectively, with the compact-open (=sup-metric) topology. Let 2Xh be the space of non-empty compact ANR subsets of X with topology induced by the homotopy metric. Let RXh be the subspace of 2Xh consisting of the ANR's in X that are retracts of X.We show that N(Sm) is simply-connected for m > 1. We show that if X is an ANR and A0?RXh, then limi→∞Ai=A0 in 2Xh if and only if for every retraction r0 of X onto A0 there are, for almost all i, retractions ri of X onto Ai such that limi→∞ri=ro in R(X). We show that if X is an ANR, then the local connectedness of R(X) implies that of RXh. We prove that R(M) is locally connected if M is a closed surface. We give examples to show how some of our results weaken when X is not assumed to be an ANR.  相似文献

Let X?C be compact, 0>nZ, and g a continuous function on X. Let R(n,g,X) be the rational module consisting of the functions on X of the type r0 + r1g + ··· + rngn, where rj is a rational function with poles off X, 0 ? j ? n. It is shown that if X is nowhere dense, g is sufficiently smooth, and \?t6g(z) ≠ 0, z ∈ X, then the restriction to X of each function in C∈(C) is approximable in the Lip(n ? 1, X)-norm, n ? 2, by functions in R(n, g, X). Also dealt with are approximation problems in Sobolev norms by more general types of rational modules.  相似文献

Let M be an open manifold with a symplectic form Ω, and N a manifold with dimN<dimM. We prove that submersions with symplectic fibres satisfy the h-principle. Such submersions define Dirac manifold structures on the given manifold. As an application to this result we show that CPn?CPk−1 admits a submersion into R2(2kn) with symplectic fibres for n/2<k?n.  相似文献

Let F denote a finite field with q=pf elements, and let σ(A) equal the trace of the square matrix A. This paper evaluates exponential sums of the form S(E,X1,…,Xn)e{?σ(CX1?XnE)}, where S(E,X1,…,Xn) denotes a summation over all matrices E,X1,…,Xn of appropriate sizes over F, and C is a fixed matrix. This evaluation is then applied to the problem of counting ranked solutions to matrix equations of the form U1?UαA+DV1?Vβ=B where A,B,D are fixed matrices over F.  相似文献

Let Fn be a binary form with integral coefficients of degree n?2, let d denote the greatest common divisor of all non-zero coefficients of Fn, and let h?2 be an integer. We prove that if d=1 then the Thue equation (T) Fn(x,y)=h has relatively few solutions: if A is a subset of the set T(Fn,h) of all solutions to (T), with r:=card(A)?n+1, then
(#)
h divides the numberΔ(A):=1?k<l?rδ(ξk,ξl),
where ξk=〈xk,yk〉∈A, 1?k?r, and δ(ξk,ξl)=xkylxlyk. As a corollary we obtain that if h is a prime number then, under weak assumptions on Fn, there is a partition of T(Fn,h) into at most n subsets maximal with respect to condition (#).  相似文献
