Isometric embeddings of $\mathbb{Z}_{p^n+1}$ into the Hamming space ( $\mathbb{F}_{p}^{p^n},w$ ) have played a fundamental role in recent constructions of non-linear codes. The codes thus obtained are very good codes, but their rate is limited by the rate of the first-order generalized Reed–Muller code—hence, when n is not very small, these embeddings lead to the construction of low-rate codes. A natural question is whether there are embeddings with higher rates than the known ones. In this paper, we provide a partial answer to this question by establishing a lower bound on the order of a symmetry of ( $\mathbb{F}_{p}^{N},w$ ).  相似文献

In this work, we investigate linear codes over the ring ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ . We first analyze the structure of the ring and then define linear codes over this ring which turns out to be a ring that is not finite chain or principal ideal contrary to the rings that have hitherto been studied in coding theory. Lee weights and Gray maps for these codes are defined by extending on those introduced in works such as Betsumiya et al. (Discret Math 275:43–65, 2004) and Dougherty et al. (IEEE Trans Inf 45:32–45, 1999). We then characterize the ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linearity of binary codes under the Gray map and give a main class of binary codes as an example of ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linear codes. The duals and the complete weight enumerators for ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ -linear codes are also defined after which MacWilliams-like identities for complete and Lee weight enumerators as well as for the ideal decompositions of linear codes over ${\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2+v\mathbb{F}_2+uv\mathbb{F}_2}$ are obtained.  相似文献

For a sequence $\underline{u}=(u_n)_{n\in \mathbb{N }}$ of integers, let $t_{\underline{u}}(\mathbb{T })$ be the group of all topologically $\underline{u}$ -torsion elements of the circle group $\mathbb{T }:=\mathbb{R }/\mathbb{Z }$ . We show that for any $s\in ]0,1[$ and $m\in \{0,+\infty \}$ there exists $\underline{u}$ such that $t_{\underline{u}}(\mathbb{T })$ has Hausdorff dimension $s$ and $s$ -dimensional Hausdorff measure equal to $m$ (no other values for $m$ are possible). More generally, for dimension functions $f,g$ with $f(t)\prec g(t), f(t)\prec \!\!\!\prec t$ and $g(t)\prec \!\!\!\prec t$ we find $\underline{u}$ such that $t_{\underline{u}}(\mathbb{T })$ has at the same time infinite $f$ -measure and null $g$ -measure.  相似文献

A Gizatullin surface is a normal affine surface V over $ \mathbb{C} $ , which can be completed by a zigzag; that is, by a linear chain of smooth rational curves. In this paper we deal with the question of uniqueness of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions and $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations on such a surface V up to automorphisms. The latter fibrations are in one to one correspondence with $ \mathbb{C}_{{\text{ + }}} $ -actions on V considered up to a “speed change”. Non-Gizatullin surfaces are known to admit at most one $ \mathbb{A}^{1} $ -fibration VS up to an isomorphism of the base S. Moreover, an effective $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -action on them, if it does exist, is unique up to conjugation and inversion t $ \mapsto $ t ?1 of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ . Obviously, uniqueness of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions fails for affine toric surfaces. There is a further interesting family of nontoric Gizatullin surfaces, called the Danilov-Gizatullin surfaces, where there are in general several conjugacy classes of $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -actions and $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations, see, e.g., [FKZ1]. In the present paper we obtain a criterion as to when $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations of Gizatullin surfaces are conjugate up to an automorphism of V and the base $ S \cong \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ . We exhibit as well large subclasses of Gizatullin $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -surfaces for which a $ \mathbb{C}^{ * } $ -action is essentially unique and for which there are at most two conjugacy classes of $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ -fibrations over $ \mathbb{A}^{{\text{1}}} $ .  相似文献

In this paper, we study surfaces in Lorentzian product spaces ${{\mathbb{M}^{2}(c) \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ . We classify constant angle spacelike and timelike surfaces in ${{\mathbb{S}^{2} \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ and ${{\mathbb{H}^{2} \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ . Moreover, complete classifications of spacelike surfaces in ${{\mathbb{S}^{2} \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ and ${{\mathbb{H}^{2} \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ and timelike surfaces in ${{\mathbb{M}^{2}(c) \times \mathbb{R}_1}}$ with a canonical principal direction are obtained. Finally, a new characterization of the catenoid of the 3rd kind is established, as the only minimal timelike surface with a canonical principal direction in Minkowski 3–space.  相似文献

We consider the groups ${\mathrm{Diff }}_\mathcal{B }(\mathbb{R }^n)$ , ${\mathrm{Diff }}_{H^\infty }(\mathbb{R }^n)$ , and ${\mathrm{Diff }}_{\mathcal{S }}(\mathbb{R }^n)$ of smooth diffeomorphisms on $\mathbb{R }^n$ which differ from the identity by a function which is in either $\mathcal{B }$ (bounded in all derivatives), $H^\infty = \bigcap _{k\ge 0}H^k$ , or $\mathcal{S }$ (rapidly decreasing). We show that all these groups are smooth regular Lie groups.  相似文献

For a holomorphic proper map F from the ball $\mathbb{B}^{n+1}$ into $\mathbb{B}^{N+1}$ that is C 3 smooth up to the boundary, the image $M=F(\partial\mathbb{B}^{n})$ is an immersed CR submanifold in the sphere $\partial \mathbb{B}^{N+1}$ on which some second fundamental forms II M and $\mathit{II}^{CR}_{M}$ can be defined. It is shown that when 4??n+1<N+1??4n?3, F is linear fractional if and only if $\mathit{II}_{M} - \mathit{II}_{M}^{CR} \equiv 0$ .  相似文献

We prove Haag duality property of any translation invariant pure state on ${\mathcal B}= \otimes _{{\mathbb {Z}}}\!M_d({\mathbb {C}}), \;d \ge 2$ , where $M_d({\mathbb {C}})$ is the set of $d \times d$ dimensional matrices over the field of complex numbers. We also prove a necessary and sufficient condition for a translation invariant factor state to be pure on ${\mathcal B}$ .  相似文献

We study zero-temperature Glauber dynamics on ${\mathbb{Z}^d}$ , which is a dynamic version of the Ising model of ferromagnetism. Spins are initially chosen according to a Bernoulli distribution with density p, and then the states are continuously (and randomly) updated according to the majority rule. This corresponds to the sudden quenching of a ferromagnetic system at high temperature with an external field, to one at zero temperature with no external field. Define ${p_c(\mathbb{Z}^d)}$ to be the infimum over p such that the system fixates at ???+??? with probability 1. It is a folklore conjecture that ${p_c(\mathbb{Z}^d) = 1/2}$ for every ${2 \le d \in \mathbb{N}}$ . We prove that ${p_c(\mathbb{Z}^d) \to 1/2}$ as d ?? ??.  相似文献

The present paper proposes a general theory for $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1}, \mathcal{Z}_{2}\right) $ -complete partially ordered sets (alias $\mathcal{Z} _{1}$ -join complete and $\mathcal{Z}_{2}$ -meet complete partially ordered sets) and their Stone-like representations. It is shown that for suitably chosen subset selections $\mathcal{Z}_{i}$ (i?=?1,...,4) and $\mathcal{Q} =\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1},\mathcal{Z}_{2},\mathcal{Z}_{3},\mathcal{Z} _{4}\right) $ , the category $\mathcal{Q}$ P of $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{1},\mathcal{Z}_{2}\right) $ -complete partially ordered sets and $\left( \mathcal{Z}_{3},\mathcal{Z}_{4}\right) $ -continuous (alias $\mathcal{ Z}_{3}$ -join preserving and $\mathcal{Z}_{4}$ -meet preserving) functions forms a useful categorical framework for various order-theoretical constructs, and has a close connection with the category $\mathcal{Q}$ S of $\mathcal{Q}$ -spaces which are generalizations of topological spaces involving subset selections. In particular, this connection turns into a dual equivalence between the full subcategory $ \mathcal{Q}$ P s of $\mathcal{Q}$ P of all $\mathcal{Q}$ -spatial objects and the full subcategory $\mathcal{Q}$ S s of $\mathcal{Q}$ S of all $\mathcal{Q}$ -sober objects. Here $\mathcal{Q}$ -spatiality and $\mathcal{Q}$ -sobriety extend usual notions of spatiality of locales and sobriety of topological spaces to the present approach, and their relations to $\mathcal{Z}$ -compact generation and $\mathcal{Z}$ -sobriety have also been pointed out in this paper.  相似文献

We consider the (pure) braid groups $B_{n}(M)$ and $P_{n}(M)$ , where $M$ is the $2$ -sphere $\mathbb S ^{2}$ or the real projective plane $\mathbb R P^2$ . We determine the minimal cardinality of (normal) generating sets $X$ of these groups, first when there is no restriction on $X$ , and secondly when $X$ consists of elements of finite order. This improves on results of Berrick and Matthey in the case of $\mathbb S ^{2}$ , and extends them in the case of $\mathbb R P^2$ . We begin by recalling the situation for the Artin braid groups ( $M=\mathbb{D }^{2}$ ). As applications of our results, we answer the corresponding questions for the associated mapping class groups, and we show that for $M=\mathbb S ^{2}$ or $\mathbb R P^2$ , the induced action of $B_n(M)$ on $H_3(\widetilde{F_n(M)};\mathbb{Z })$ is trivial, $F_{n}(M)$ being the $n^\mathrm{th}$ configuration space of $M$ .  相似文献

In this work, we prove that if C is a free ${\mathbb{Z}_4}$ -module of rank k in ${\mathbb{Z}_4^n}$ , and ${j\in \mathbb{Z}}$ and e ≥ 1, then the number of codewords in C with Lee weight congruent to j modulo 2 e is divisible by ${2^{\left \lfloor \large{\frac{k-2^{e-2}}{2^{e-2}}} \right \rfloor}}$ . We prove this result by introducing a lemma and applying the lemma in one of the theorems proved by Wilson. The method used is different than the one used in our previous work on Lee weight enumerators in which more general results were obtained. Moreover, Wilson’s methods are used to prove that the results obtained are sharp by calculating the power of 2 that divides the number of codewords in the trivial code ${\mathbb{Z}_{4}^k}$ with Lee weight congruent to j modulo 2 e .  相似文献

Given a Lie group G with a bi-invariant metric and a compact Lie subgroup K, Bittencourt and Ripoll used the homogeneous structure of quotient spaces to define a Gauss map ${\mathcal{N}:M^{n}\rightarrow{\mathbb{S}}}$ on any hypersupersurface ${M^{n}\looparrowright G/K}$ , where ${{\mathbb{S}}}$ is the unit sphere of the Lie algebra of G. It is proved in Bittencourt and Ripoll (Pacific J Math 224:45–64, 2006) that M n having constant mean curvature (CMC) is equivalent to ${\mathcal{N}}$ being harmonic, a generalization of a Ruh–Vilms theorem for submanifolds in the Euclidean space. In particular, when n = 2, the induced quadratic differential ${\mathcal{Q}_{\mathcal{N}}:=(\mathcal{N}^{\ast}g)^{2,0}}$ is holomorphic on CMC surfaces of G/K. In this paper, we take ${G/K={\mathbb{S}}^{2}\times{\mathbb{R}}}$ and compare ${\mathcal{Q}_{\mathcal{N}}}$ with the Abresch–Rosenberg differential ${\mathcal{Q}}$ , also holomorphic for CMC surfaces. It is proved that ${\mathcal{Q}=\mathcal{Q}_{\mathcal{N}}}$ , after showing that ${\mathcal{N}}$ is the twisted normal given by (1.5) herein. Then we define the twisted normal for surfaces in ${{\mathbb{H}}^{2}\times{\mathbb{R}}}$ and prove that ${\mathcal{Q}=\mathcal{Q}_{\mathcal{N}}}$ as well. Within the unified model for the two product spaces, we compute the tension field of ${\mathcal{N}}$ and extend to surfaces in ${{\mathbb{H}}^{2}\times{\mathbb{R}}}$ the equivalence between the CMC property and the harmonicity of ${\mathcal{N}.}$   相似文献

Let G =  (V, E) be a finite loopless graph and let (A, +) be an abelian group with identity 0. Then an A-magic labeling of G is a function ${\phi}$ from E into A ? {0} such that for some ${a \in A, \sum_{e \in E(v)} \phi(e) = a}$ for every ${v \in V}$ , where E(v) is the set of edges incident to v. If ${\phi}$ exists such that a =  0, then G is zero-sum A-magic. Let zim(G) denote the subset of ${\mathbb{N}}$ (the positive integers) such that ${1 \in zim(G)}$ if and only if G is zero-sum ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -magic and ${k \geq 2 \in zim(G)}$ if and only if G is zero-sum ${\mathbb{Z}_k}$ -magic. We establish that if G is 3-regular, then ${zim(G) = \mathbb{N} - \{2\}}$ or ${\mathbb{N} - \{2,4\}.}$   相似文献

In this paper we use Kuperberg’s $\mathfrak {sl}_3$ -webs and Khovanov’s $\mathfrak {sl}_3$ -foams to define a new algebra $K^S$ , which we call the $\mathfrak {sl}_3$ -web algebra. It is the $\mathfrak {sl}_3$ analogue of Khovanov’s arc algebra. We prove that $K^S$ is a graded symmetric Frobenius algebra. Furthermore, we categorify an instance of $q$ -skew Howe duality, which allows us to prove that $K^S$ is Morita equivalent to a certain cyclotomic KLR-algebra of level 3. This allows us to determine the split Grothendieck group $K^{\oplus }_0(\mathcal {W}^S)_{\mathbb {Q}(q)}$ , to show that its center is isomorphic to the cohomology ring of a certain Spaltenstein variety, and to prove that $K^S$ is a graded cellular algebra.  相似文献

We study the geometry and dynamics of discrete subgroups $\Gamma $ of $\mathrm{PSL}(3,\mathbb C )$ with an open invariant set $\Omega \subset \mathbb P _\mathbb{C }^2$ where the action is properly discontinuous and the quotient $\Omega /\Gamma $ contains a connected component whicis compact. We call such groups quasi-cocompact. In this case $\Omega /\Gamma $ is a compact complex projective orbifold and $\Omega $ is a divisible set. Our first theorem refines classical work by Kobayashi–Ochiai and others about complex surfaces with a projective structure: We prove that every such group is either virtually affine or complex hyperbolic. We then classify the divisible sets that appear in this way, the corresponding quasi-cocompact groups and the orbifolds $\Omega /\Gamma $ . We also prove that excluding a few exceptional cases, the Kulkarni region of discontinuity coincides with the equicontinuity region and is the largest open invariant set where the action is properly discontinuous.  相似文献

Known upper bounds on the minimum distance of codes over rings are applied to the case of ${\mathbb Z_{2}\mathbb Z_{4}}$ -additive codes, that is subgroups of ${\mathbb Z_{2}^{\alpha}\mathbb Z_{4}^{\beta}}$ . Two kinds of maximum distance separable codes are studied. We determine all possible parameters of these codes and characterize the codes in certain cases. The main results are also valid when ?? = 0, namely for quaternary linear codes.  相似文献

We construct and study a family of toric degenerations of the Cox ring of the moduli of quasi-parabolic principal SL3( $ \mathbb{C} $ ) bundles on a smooth, marked curve (C, $ \vec{p} $ ): Elements of this algebra have a well known interpretation as conformal blocks, from the Wess-Zumino-Witten model of conformal field theory. For the genus 0; 1 cases we find the level of conformal blocks necessary to generate the algebra. In the genus 0 case we also find bounds on the degrees of relations required to present the algebra. As a consequence we obtain a toric degeneration for the projective coordinate ring of an effective divisor on the moduli $ {{\mathcal{M}}_{{C,\vec{p}}}}\left( {\mathrm{S}{{\mathrm{L}}_3}\left( \mathbb{C} \right)} \right) $ of quasi-parabolic principal SL3( $ \mathbb{C} $ ) bundles on (C, $ \vec{p} $ ). Along the way we recover positive polyhedral rules for counting conformal blocks.  相似文献

The moduli space of smooth curves admits a beautiful compactification $\mathcal{M}_{g,n} \subset \overline{\mathcal{M}}_{g,n}$ by the moduli space of stable curves. In this paper, we undertake a systematic classification of alternate modular compactifications of $\mathcal{M}_{g,n}$ . Let $\mathcal{U}_{g,n}$ be the (non-separated) moduli stack of all n-pointed reduced, connected, complete, one-dimensional schemes of arithmetic genus g. When g=0, $\mathcal{U}_{0,n}$ is irreducible and we classify all open proper substacks of $\mathcal{U}_{0,n}$ . When g≥1, $\mathcal{U}_{g,n}$ may not be irreducible, but there is a unique irreducible component $\mathcal{V}_{g,n} \subset\mathcal{U}_{g,n}$ containing $\mathcal{M}_{g,n}$ . We classify open proper substacks of $\mathcal {V}_{g,n}$ satisfying a certain stability condition.  相似文献
