The potential energy surfaces of H-atom reactions with CH(3)CH(2)O and CH(3)CHOH, two major radicals in the decomposition and oxidation of ethanol, have been studied at the CCSD(T)/6-311+G(3df,2p) level of theory with geometric optimization carried out at the BH&HLYP/6-311+G(3df,2p) level. The direct hydrogen abstraction channels and the indirect association/decomposition channels from the chemically activated ethanol molecule have been considered for both reactions. The rate constants for both reactions have been calculated at 100-3000 K and 10(-4) Torr to 10(3) atm Ar pressure by microcanonical VTST/RRKM theory with master equation solution for all accessible product channels. The results show that the major product channel of the CH(3)CH(2)O + H reaction is CH(3) + CH(2)OH under atmospheric pressure conditions. Only at high pressure and low temperature, the rate constant for CH(3)CH(2)OH formation by collisonal deactivation becomes dominant. For CH(3)CHOH + H, there are three major product channels; at high temperatures, CH(3)+CH(2)OH production predominates at low pressures (P < 100 Torr), while the formation of CH(3)CH(2)OH by collisional deactivation becomes competitive at high pressures and low temperatures (T < 500 K). At high temperatures, the direct hydrogen abstraction reaction producing CH(2)CHOH + H(2) becomes dominant. Rate constants for all accessible product channels in both systems have been predicted and tabulated for modeling applications. The predicted value for CH(3)CHOH + H at 295 K and 1 Torr pressure agrees closely with available experimental data. For practical modeling applications, the rate constants for the thermal unimolecular decomposition of ethanol giving key accessible products have been predicted; those for the two major product channels taking place by dehydration and C-C breaking agree closely with available literature data.  相似文献

The hydrogen abstraction reactions of CH3CHFCH3 and CH3CH2CH2F with the OH radicals have been studied theoretically by a dual-level direct dynamics method. The geometries and frequencies of all the stationary points are optimized by means of the DFT calculation. There are complexes at the reactant side or exit route, indicating these reactions may proceed via indirect mechanisms. To improve the reaction enthalpy and potential barrier of each reaction channel, the single point energy calculation is performed by the MC-QCISD/3 method. The rate constants are evaluated by canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with the small-curvature tunneling correction method (SCT) over a wide temperature range 200-2000 K. The canculated CVT/SCT rate constants are consistent with available experimental data. The results show that both the variation effect and the SCT contribution play an important role in the calculation of the rate constants. For reactions CH3CHFCH3 and CH3CH2CH2F with OH radicals, the channels of H-abstraction from -CHF- and -CH2- groups are the major reaction channels, respectively, at lower temperature. Furthermore, to further reveal the thermodynamics properties, the enthalpies of formation of reactants CH3CHFCH3, CH3CH2CH2F, and the product radicals CH3CFCH3, CH3CHFCH2, CH3CH2CHF, CH3CHCH2F, and CH2CH2CH2F are studied using isodesmic reactions.  相似文献

The multiple-channel reactions Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The optimized geometries, frequencies, and minimum energy path are all obtained at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the G3(MP2) (single-point) theory. The rate constants for every reaction channels, Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> CH(3)SCH(2) + HBr (R1), Br + CH(3)SCH(3) --> CH(3)SBr + CH(3) (R2), and Br + CH(3)SCH(3) -->CH(3)S + CH(3)Br (R3), are calculated by canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range 200-3000 K. The total rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data, and the two-parameter expression k(T) = 2.68 x 10(-12) exp(-1235.24/T) cm(3)/(molecule s) over the temperature range 200-3000 K is given. Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channel is the major channel due to the smallest barrier height among three channels considered, and the other two channels to yield CH(3)SBr + CH(3) and CH(3)S + CH(3)Br are minor channels over the whole temperature range.  相似文献

The reaction for CH3CH2+O(3P) was studied by ab initio method. The geometries of the reactants, intermediates, transition states and products were optimized at MP2/6-311+G(d,p) level. The corresponding vibration frequencies were calculated at the same level. The single-point calculations for all the stationary points were carried out at the QCISD(T)/6-311+G(d,p) level using the MP2/6-311+G(d,p) optimized geometries. The results of the theoretical study indicate that the major products are the CH2O+CH3, CH3CHO+H and CH2CH2+OH in the reaction. For the products CH2O+CH3 and CH3CHO+H, the major production channels are A1: (R)→IM1→TS3→(A) and B1: (R)→IM1→TS4→(B), respectively. The majority of the products CH2CH2+OH are formed via the direct abstraction channels C1 and C2: (R)→TS1(TS2)→(C). In addition, the results suggest that the barrier heights to form the CO reaction channels are very high, so the CO is not a major product in the reaction.  相似文献

The hydrogen abstraction reactions C2H + CH3CN --> products (R1), C2H + CH3CH2CN --> products (R2), and C2H + CH3CH2CH2CN --> products (R3) have been investigated by dual-level generalized transition state theory. Optimized geometries and frequencies of all the stationary points and extra points along the minimum-energy path (MEP) are performed at the BH&H-LYP and MP2 methods with the 6-311G(d, p) basis set, and the energy profiles are further refined at the MC-QCISD level of theory. The rate constants are evaluated using canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with a small-curvature tunneling correction (SCT) over a wide temperature range 104-2000 K. The calculated CVT/SCT rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental values. Our calculations show that for reaction R2, the alpha-hydrogen abstraction channel and beta-hydrogen abstraction channel are competitive over the whole temperature range. For reaction R3, the gamma-hydrogen abstraction channel is preferred at lower temperatures, while the contribution of beta-hydrogen abstraction will become more significant with a temperature increase. The branching ratio to the alpha-hydrogen abstraction channel is found negligible over the whole temperature range.  相似文献

The multiple-channel reactions SiH(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The minimum energy path (MEP) is calculated at the MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the MC-QCISD (single-point) method. The rate constants for individual reaction channels are calculated by the improved canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range of 200-2400 K. The theoretical three-parameter expression k(T) = 2.44 x 10(-23)T(3.94) exp(-4309.55/T) cm(3)/(molecule s) is given. Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channel R1 from SiH group is the major channel because of the smaller barrier height among five channels considered.  相似文献

The reaction for CH3CH2+N(4S) was studied by ab initio method. The geometries of the reactants, intermediates, transition states and products were optimized at MP2/6-311+G(d,p) level. The corresponding vibration frequencies were calculated at the same level. The single point calculations for all the stationary points were carried out at the QCISD(T)/ 6-311+G(d,p) level using the MP2/6-311+G(d,p) optimized geometries. The results of the theoretical study indicate that the major products are the CH2CH2+3NH and H2CN+CH3, and the minor products are the CH3CHN+H in the reaction. The majority of the products CH2CH2+3NH are formed via a direct hydrogen abstraction channel. The products H2CN+CH3 are produced via an addition/dissociation channel. The products CH3CHN+H are produced via an addition/dissociation channel.  相似文献

Potential energy surfaces for the reactions of HO(2) with CH(2)ClO(2), CHCl(2)O(2), and CCl(3)O(2) have been calculated using coupled cluster theory and density functional theory (B3LYP). It is revealed that all the reactions take place on both singlet and triplet surfaces. Potential wells exist in the entrance channels for both surfaces. The reaction mechanism on the triplet surface is simple, including hydrogen abstraction and S(N)2-type displacement. The reaction mechanism on the singlet surface is more complicated. Interestingly, the corresponding transition states prefer to be 4-, 5-, or 7-member-ring structures. For the HO(2) + CH(2)ClO(2) reaction, there are two major product channels, viz., the formation of CH(2)ClOOH + O(2) via hydrogen abstraction on the triplet surface and the formation of CHClO + OH + HO(2) via a 5-member-ring transition state. Meanwhile, two O(3)-forming channels, namely, CH(2)O + HCl + O(3) and CH(2)ClOH + O(3) might be competitive at elevated temperatures. The HO(2) + CHCl(2)O(2) reaction has a mechanism similar to that of the HO(2) + CH(2)ClO(2) reaction. For the HO(2) + CCl(3)O(2) reaction, the formation of CCl(3)O(2)H + O(2) is the dominant channel. The Cl-substitution effect on the geometries, barriers, and heats of reaction is discussed. In addition, the unimolecular decomposition of the excited ROOH (e.g., CH(2)ClOOH, CHCl(2)OOH, and CCl(3)OOH) molecules has been investigated. The implication of the present mechanisms in atmospheric chemistry is discussed in comparison with the experimental measurements.  相似文献

The reactions of gas-phase Cu+(1S) and Cu+(3D) with CH3Cl, CH2ClF, CHClF2, and CClF3 are examined using the drift cell technique at 3.5 Torr. State-specific product channels and overall bimolecular rate constants for depletion of the two Cu+ states are determined using electronic state chromatography. Cu+(1S) participates exclusively in association with all four neutrals, whereas Cl abstraction is the dominant product channel for Cu+(3D). The resulting CuCl+ product subsequently abstracts Cl- in a secondary process. Tertiary reactions are also observed, which include both hydride abstraction (with CH3Cl) and fluoride abstraction (with the fluorinated neutrals). All product channels can be understood in terms of the known thermochemical and quantum mechanical (i.e., spin) requirements. Cu+(1S) is depleted by all four neutrals at 30% to 40% of the ADO rate under these conditions, whereas Cu+(3D) is observed to react at approximately 80% of the ADO rate with CH3Cl, CH2ClF, and CHClF2. Reaction of excited state Cu+ with CClF3 occurs at only 7% of the ADO rate. The behavior of Cu+(3D) is consistent with a mechanism in which formation of CuCl+ occurs exclusively on the triplet surface via a mechanism in which the metal ion must interact exclusively with Cl.  相似文献

Theoretical investigations are carried out on the multiple-channel reactions, CH(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) → products and CF(3) + SiH(CH(3))(3) → products. The minimum energy paths (MEP) are calculated at the MP2/6-311 + G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the MC-QCISD (single point) method. The rate constants for major reaction channels are calculated by the canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with small-curvature tunneling (SCT) correction over the temperature range 200-1500 K. The theoretical rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data and are found to be k(1a)(T) = 1.93 × 10(-24) T(3.15) exp(-1214.59/T) and k(2a)(T) = 1.33 × 10(-25) T(4.13) exp(-397.94/T) (in unit of cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)). Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channel from SiH group is the major channel due to the smaller barrier height among five channels considered.  相似文献

A dual-level direct dynamic method is employed to study the reaction mechanisms of CF3CH2OCHF2 (HFE-245fa2; HFE-245mf) with the OH radicals and Cl atoms. Two hydrogen abstraction channels and two displacement processes are found for each reaction. For further study, the reaction mechanisms of its products (CF3CH2OCF2 and CF3CHOCHF2) and parent ether CH3CH2OCH3 with OH radical are investigated theoretically. The geometries and frequencies of all the stationary points and the minimum energy paths (MEPs) are calculated at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level. The energetic information along the MEPs is further refined at the G3(MP2) level of theory. For reactions CF3CH2OCHF2 + OH/Cl, the calculation indicates that the hydrogen abstraction from --CH2-- group is the dominant reaction channel, and the displacement processes may be negligible because of the high barriers. The standard enthalpies of formation for the reactant CF3CH2OCHF2, and two products CF3CH2OCHF2 and CF3CHOCHF2 are evaluated via group-balanced isodesmic reactions. The rate constants of reactions CF3CH2OCHF2 + OH/Cl and CH3CH2OCH3 + OH are estimated by using the variational transition state theory over a wide range of temperature (200-2000 K). The agreement between the theoretical and experimental rate constants is good in the measured temperature range. From the comparison between the rate constants of the reactions CF3CH2OCHF2 and CH3CH2OCH3 with OH, it is shown that the fluorine substitution decreases the reactivity of the C--H bond.  相似文献

Several intermediates for the CH(3)SH + OH(*) --> CH(3)S(*) + H(2)O reaction were identified using MP2(full) 6-311+g(2df,p) ab initio calculations. An adduct, CH(3)S(H)OH(*), I, with electronic energy 13.63 kJ mol(-1) lower than the reactants, and a transition state, II(double dagger), located 5.14 kJ mol(-1) above I, are identified as the entrance channel for an addition-elimination reaction mechanism. After adding zero-point and thermal energies, DeltaH(r,298) ( degrees )(reactants --> I) = -4.85 kJ mol(-1) and DeltaH(298) (double dagger)(I --> II(double dagger)) = +0.10 kJ mol(-1), which indicates that the potential energy surface is broad and flat near the transition state. The calculated imaginary vibrational frequency of the transition state, 62i cm(-1), is also consistent with an addition-elimination mechanism. These calculations are consistent with experimental observations of the OH(*) + CH(3)SH reaction that favored an addition-elimination mechanism rather than direct hydrogen atom abstraction. An alternative reaction, CH(3)SH + OH(*) --> CH(3)SOH + H(*), with DeltaH(r,298) ( degrees ) = +56.94 kJ mol(-1) was also studied, leading to a determination of DeltaH(f,298) ( degrees )(CH(3)SOH) = -149.8 kJ mol(-1).  相似文献

A direct ab initio dynamics method was carried out for the reaction CH3OCl + OH --> products. Three abstraction channels from chlorine atom, in-plane hydrogen, and out-of-plane hydrogen atoms at the CH3 group have been found. The optimized geometries and frequencies of the stationary points and the minimum-energy paths (MEPs) were calculated at the MP2/6-311G(d,p) level. To improve the reaction enthalpy and potential barrier, single-point calculations were made at three higher levels of theory, the approximate QCISD(T)/6-311++G(3df,2pd), G3, and G3(MP2) levels. Furthermore, the rate constants for three abstraction channels were evaluated using canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with the small-curvature tunneling correction (SCT) over a wide temperature range of 220-2000 K at above three higher theory levels, respectively. The calculated rate constants as well as branching rates are in reasonable agreement with the experimental values in the temperature region 250-341 K. The present results indicate H-abstraction especially from out-of-plane hydrogen is the main reaction pathway, while Cl-abstraction is much less competitive.

The hydrogen abstraction reaction of the OH radical with CH(3)CHF(2) (HFC152-a) has been studied theoretically over a wide temperature range, 200-3000 K. Two different reactive sites of the molecule, CH(3) and CHF(2) groups have been investigated precisely, and results confirm that CHF(2) position of the molecule is a highly reactive site. In this study, three recently developed hybrid density functional theories, namely, MPWB1K, MPW1B95, and MPW1K, are used. The MPWB1K/6-31+G(d,p) method gives the best result for kinetic calculations, including barrier heights, reaction path information and geometry of transition state structures and other stationary points. To refine the barrier height of each channel, a single point energy calculation was performed in MPWB1K/MG3S method. The obtained rate constants by dual level direct dynamics with the interpolated single point energy method (VTST-ISPE) using DFT quantum computational methods, are consistent with available experimental data. The canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) with the zero-curvature and also the small-curvature tunneling correction methods is used to calculate the rate constants. Over the temperature range 200-3000 K, the variation effect, tunneling contribution, branching ratio of each channel are calculated. The rate constants and their temperature dependency in the form of a fitted three-parameter Arrhenius expression are k(1)(T) = 2.00 x 10(-19)(T)(2.24) exp(-1273/T), k(2)(T) = 1.95 x 10(-19)(T)(2.46) exp(-2374/T), and k(T) = 3.13 x 10(-19)(T)(2.47) exp(- 1694/T) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1). For the H abstraction from the CHF(2) group, a nonclassical reflection effect is detected as a dominant quantum effect.  相似文献

The multiple-channel reactions OH + CH3NHC(O)OCH3 --> products are investigated by direct dynamics method. The optimized geometries, frequencies, and minimum energy path are all obtained at the MP2/6-311+G(d,p) level, and energetic information is further refined by the BMC-CCSD (single-point) method. The rate constants for every reaction channels, R1, R2, R3, and R4, are calculated by canonical variational transition state theory with small-curvature tunneling correction over the temperature range 200-1000 K. The total rate constants are in good agreement with the available experimental data and the two-parameter expression k(T) = 3.95 x 10(-12) exp(15.41/T) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) over the temperature range 200-1000 K is given. Our calculations indicate that hydrogen abstraction channels R1 and R2 are the major channels due to the smaller barrier height among four channels considered, and the other two channels to yield CH3NC(O)OCH3 + H2O and CH3NHC(O)(OH)OCH3 + H2O are minor channels over the whole temperature range.  相似文献

Kinetics of the hydrogen abstraction reaction (*)CH(3) + CH(4) --> CH(4) + (*)CH(3) is studied by a direct dynamics method. Thermal rate constants in the temperature range of 300-2500 K are evaluated by the canonical variational transition state theory (CVT) incorporating corrections from tunneling using the multidimensional semiclassical small-curvature tunneling (SCT) method and from the hindered rotations. These results are used in conjunction with the Reaction Class Transition State Theory/Linear Energy Relationship (RC-TST/LER) to predict thermal rate constants of any reaction in the hydrogen abstraction class of (*)CH(3) + alkanes. Our analyses indicate that less than 40% systematic errors on the average exist in the predicted rate constants using the RC-TST/LER method while comparing to explicit rate calculations the differences are less than 100% or a factor of 2 on the average.  相似文献

采用双水平直接动力学方法对C2H3与CH3F氢抽提反应进行了研究. 在QCISD(T)/6-311++G(d, p)//B3LYP/6-311G(d, p)水平上, 计算的三个反应通道R1、R2和R3的能垒(ΔE)分别为43.2、43.9和44.1 kJ·mol-1, 反应热为-38.2 kJ·mol-1. 此外, 利用传统过渡态理论(TST)、正则变分过渡态理论(CVT)和包含小曲率隧道效应(SCT)的CVT, 分别计算了200-3000 K温度范围内反应的速率常数kTST、kCVT和kCVT/SCT. 结果表明: (1) 三个氢抽提反应通道的速率常数随温度的增加而增大, 其中变分效应的影响可以忽略, 隧道效应则在低温段影响显著; (2) R1反应是主反应通道, 但随着温度的升高, R2反应的竞争力增大, 而R3反应对总速率常数的影响很小.  相似文献

Using a crossed laser-molecular beam scattering apparatus and tunable photoionization detection, these experiments determine the branching to the product channels accessible from the 2-hydroxyethyl radical, the first radical intermediate in the addition reaction of OH with ethene. Photodissociation of 2-bromoethanol at 193 nm forms 2-hydroxyethyl radicals with a range of vibrational energies, which was characterized in our first study of this system ( J. Phys. Chem. A 2010 , 114 , 4934 ). In this second study, we measure the relative signal intensities of ethene (at m/e = 28), vinyl (at m/e = 27), ethenol (at m/e = 44), formaldehyde (at m/e = 30), and acetaldehyde (at m/e = 44) products and correct for the photoionization cross sections and kinematic factors to determine a 0.765:0.145:0.026:0.063:<0.01 branching to the OH + C(2)H(4), H(2)O + C(2)H(3), CH(2)CHOH + H, H(2)CO + CH(3), and CH(3)CHO + H product asymptotes. The detection of the H(2)O + vinyl product channel is surprising when starting from the CH(2)CH(2)OH radical adduct; prior studies had assumed that the H(2)O + vinyl products were solely from the direct abstraction channel in the bimolecular collision of OH and ethene. We suggest that these products may result from a frustrated dissociation of the CH(2)CH(2)OH radical to OH + ethene in which the C-O bond begins to stretch, but the leaving OH moiety abstracts an H atom to form H(2)O + vinyl. We compare our experimental branching ratio to that predicted from statistical microcanonical rate constants averaged over the vibrational energy distribution of our CH(2)CH(2)OH radicals. The comparison suggests that a statistical prediction using 1-D Eckart tunneling underestimates the rate constants for the branching to the product channels of OH + ethene, and that the mechanism for the branching to the H(2)O + vinyl channel is not adequately treated in such theories.  相似文献
