Generally solutions of high polymers show a shear-rate dependent flow behaviour and so the properties of these fluids have to be measured under conditions of shear corresponding to the practical service. Capillary viscometry is suitable for achieving high rates of shear but relaxation phenomena can effect the results, which is proved experimentally. The flow behaviour of a lubricant blended with a high polymer additive is measured and a graphical representation of the dependence of flow behaviour on temperature and rate of shear is recommended. 相似文献

采用基于霍普金森压杆的新型加载技术对Ti-6Al-4V材料的动态剪切特性及失效机理进行了测试研究。获得了Ti-6Al-4V材料在超过104 s-1应变率下的剪应力-剪应变曲线及失效参数。研究发现,材料的流动应力存在明显的应变率强化效应;随着应变率的增加,材料的失效应力逐渐增大,而失效应变逐渐减小。采用ABAQUS/Explicit对加载过程进行了数值模拟。结果显示,剪切区材料基本处于平面剪切状态,应力应变场分布较为均匀,计算得到的剪应力-剪应变曲线与实验结果吻合较好。经断口分析可知,随着应变率的升高,Ti-6Al-4V的失效机理存在由韧窝、拉伸韧窝至台阶及河流花样的演化过程,材料的失效模式主要表现为韧性断裂。

提出了高速切削过程中诱发绝热剪切带形成的热塑性剪切波的传播机理,针对锯齿形切屑中热望性区域内的塑性梯度变形特征、动量和能量耗散情况,建立了与切削条件相关的热塑性剪切波的传播模型及剪切带宽度模型.在此基础上,通过淬硬45钢的切削实验并结合改进的Johnson-Cook本构模型分析了热塑性剪切波的传播规律,并将剪切带宽度模型与已提出的DB模型、WR模型和DM模型做了对比,结果表明,由热塑性剪切波传播理论推导的剪切带宽度模型与实验结果较其他模型吻合较好. 相似文献

A procedure is presented for converting torque-speed plots obtained from experiments using discs rotating rapidly in shear thinning materials into information on the viscosity function. The method is based on an exact boundary-layer solution for the power-law model and on the concept of pseudo-similarity of non-Newtonian flows. It enables the rheological behaviour to be evaluated at very high shear rates. Experimental data for concentrated shear-thinning kaolin suspensions at shear rates from 400 to 2 105s–1 are compared with values of the viscosity function obtained from customary viscometers of the Brookfield and Couette type. 相似文献

At high shear rates a steady state of shear flow with constant shear rate, constant shear stress, and constant recoverable shear strain is observed in the short-time sandwich rheometer after some few shear units already. The melt exhibits rather high elastic shear deformations and the recovery occurs at much higher speed than it is observed in the newtonian range. The ratio of first normal stress difference and twice the shear stress, being equal to the recoverable strain in the second-order fluid limit, significantly underestimates the true elastic shear strains at high shear rates. The observed shear rate dependence of shear stress and first normal stress difference as well as of the (constrained) elastic shear strain is correctly described on the basis of a discrete relaxation time spectrum. In simple shear a stick-slip transition at the metal walls is found. Necessary for the onset of slip is a critical value of shear stress and a certain amount of elastic shear deformation or orientation of the melt. 相似文献

The present paper briefly reviews analytical studies of the evolution of thermoplastic shear band, i.e. emergence from uniform
deformation, post-instability growth and late stage behaviour. The case studied is the simple shear of temperature and rate-dependent
materials with heat transfer. Uniform mode exists before a critical state, if no heat flows out of testpiece. Upon reaching
the critical state, bifurcation appears as a result of disturbances, which leads to instability and the formation of narrow
shear band. Initially, the band, due to temperature disturbance, can shrink with increasing temperature and strain rate owing
to unsteady flow. Then heat conduction dominates and causes the shear band to expand. The postmortem appearance of thermo-plastic
shear band manifests itself as balance of plastic work rate and heat diffusion. Melting may also take place within the band. 相似文献

The shear viscosity of clay-based coating colors containing latex and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) has been measured over a relatively large shearrate region. In the shear-rate range of 50–1500 s–1 the measurements were performed using a rotational viscometer and, at higher shear rates extending into the region 105 – 106 s–1, a high pressure capillary viscometer was employed. The viscosity of the clay colors increased with increasing CMC-concentration, but the influence of the CMC-content was less pronounced at higher shear rates. The apparent shear-thinning behavior of the investigated colors could, in part, be attributed to the shear-thinning of the corresponding polymer (CMC) solution constituting the liquid phase of the color, but the influence of another factor was also indicated. At low shear rates, the interaction between the color components can produce relatively high viscosity levels, but in the high shear rate region these interactions appear to be less important for the viscosity level. It is also of interest to note that the viscosity dependence on the solids content in the high shear-rate region could be described with reasonable accuracy using an empirical equation neglecting interactions between the color components. 相似文献

利用高温电子万能试验机和具有高温同步自组装功能的Hopkinson压杆对二维C/SiC复合材料进行了应变率为10-4~103s-1,温度为293~1273K下的单轴压缩力学性能测试。实验结果表明:二维C/SiC复合材料破坏时并未表现出典型的脆性破坏,而是在应力达到压缩强度时出现了显著的应变软化,在经历了较大的变形后才最终破坏,同时材料还表现出良好的高温承载能力及一定的温度和应变率依赖性。随着温度的升高,复合材料的压缩强度呈降低的趋势。与准静态下室温压缩时相比,材料在1273K 时的压缩强度的降低程度不超过30%,但压缩强度对应变率的敏感性随着温度的升高而增大。由于高温下试样氧化,C/SiC复合材料压缩强度对应变率的敏感性在温度为1073K时显著增大。 相似文献

Shear band formation in a thermal viscoplastic heat conducting material is described in a simple shear test at high strain rate with inertia effects. The classical perturbation method is discussed, and a new relative perturbation method accounting for non-steadiness of plastic flow is presented. They respectively provide instability and localization criteria which are compared. Furthermore both are compared to available nonlinear exact results and to experimental data. 采用浸入边界法对细长柔性圆柱在线性剪切流条件下的涡激振动进行三维数值模拟。细长柔性圆柱振动采用三维索模型模拟,其两端铰接,质量比为6,长细比为50,无量纲顶张力为496。来流为线性剪切流,剪切率从0到0.024变化,最大雷诺数为250。研究发现:剪切流作用下柔性立管横流向振动表现为驻波模式,而顺流向振动表现为行波-驻波混合模式。随着剪切率增大,振动频谱呈现多频响应,振动能量逐渐向低频转移。阻力系数平均值随着展向变化,脉动阻力系数和升力系数的均方根值均表现为“双峰”模式。流固能量传递系数沿立管轴向的分布表明,振动激励区集中于高流速区,而振动阻尼区多位于低流速区。剪切率较小时,圆柱的泻涡为平行交叉模式;剪切率较大时,圆柱的泻涡为倾斜泻涡模式,且由于泻涡频率沿立管轴向变化,尾流发生涡裂现象,形成泻涡频率不同的胞格结构。 相似文献

The rheological and structural properties of perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant films including viscosity, shear stress,
and birefringence were measured at relatively low to extremely high shear rates using a rotational optical rheometer. The
viscosity of various films with different thicknesses exhibit Newtonian behavior up to a shear rate 1 × 104 s−1, with a transition to shear-thinning behavior obvious at higher shear rates. Birefringence of these films was also measured
for the first time, and these results indicate chain alignment with shear in the shear-thinning regime. The shear rate at
which alignment occurs is similar to that of the onset of shear thinning. This correlation between chain alignment and shear
thinning provides direct evidence that the ability of PFPEs to lubricate hard drives at high shear rates is a direct consequence
of the ability of the applied shear field to align the molecules on a molecular level. 相似文献

描述了一种利用Hopkinson杆装置确定在高温(温度可高达1 173 K)、高应变率下材料动态性能的试验方法。在试样加温过程中,试样不与入射杆及透射杆接触。当试样加热到预定温度时,气压驱动同步组装系统,推动透射杆及试样,使得应力波到达入射杆与试样接触面时,入射杆、试样及透射杆紧密接触。利用以上系统,完成了连铸单晶铜及上引法连铸多晶铜从室温到1 085 K范围内的应力应变曲线。测试结果表明,不论是上引法连铸多晶铜还是连铸单晶铜,流动应力随温度的升高而下降,在温度低于585 K时,材料的应变硬化率明显大于在温度高于585 K时的应变硬化率。 相似文献

使用光学显微镜、显微硬度计、X射线衍射、SEM、TEM等方法对高速切削30CrNi3MoV高强度钢锯齿形切屑中第一和第二变形区内形成绝热剪切带和白层进行了观察和研究。结果表明,形成了两种形式的绝热剪切带,即低速下形成的形变带和高速下形成的转变带。转变带内的硬度高于形变带和切屑基体。X射线衍射表明白层内发生了马氏体相变。TEM观察发现,形变带内为经历了大塑性变形的回火马氏体组织。转变带是由尺寸为50~100 nm的等轴晶组成,绝热剪切带形成过程中发生了动态再结晶。 相似文献

A torsional Kolsky bar (split-Hopkinson bar) was used to deform tubular specimens of AISI 1018 cold rolled steel and AISI 1020 hot rolled steel at a nominal strain rate of 103s−1. Shear bands were observed to form in both steels, and the temperature of the material in the bands was measured by determining the infrared radiation emitted at the metal surface. For this purpose, a linear array of ten indium-antimonide detectors was used to determine temperature history at ten neighboring points lying across the projected path of the shear band. Results showed that shear bands in these steels are relatively wide, that the maximum temperature rise in the band is about 450°C and that the temperature distribution across the band is consistent with results of stability analyses. The two steels have very different work hardening rates and the strain at which localization is first observed is very different for the two steels : in the cold-rolled steel it occurs at about 15% strain, while in the hot-rolled the strain is near 100%. The time-resolved axial and azimuthal components of the wall shear rate were measured as function of Reynolds number by a three-segment electrodiffusion probe flush mounted in the inner wall of the outer fixed cylinder. The geometry was characterized by a radius ratio of 0.8 and an aspect ratio of 44. The axial distribution of the wall shear rate components was obtained by sweeping the vortices along the probe using a slow axial flow. The wavelength and phase celerity of azimuthal waves, axial wavelength of vortices and their drifting velocity were calculated from the limiting diffusion currents measured by three simple electrodiffusion probes. 相似文献

Shear softening and thixotropic properties of wheat flour doughs are demonstrated in dynamic testing with a constant stress rheometer. This behaviour appears beyond the strictly linear domain (strain amplitude 0 0.2%),G,G and |*| decreasing with 0, the strain response to a sine stress wave yet retaining a sinusoidal shape.
