Using the regular structure model, we average the electrical properties of unidirectional fiber-reinforced metal composites and propose procedures for determination of the effective electrical conductivity tensor of these materials. For the general case of packing of fibers of arbitrary cross section, the problem is reduced to calculation of some functionals determined in solutions of the integral equation of the corresponding boundary current problem for the structure. A method is proposed for calculating the current distribution and the main electrical characteristics of arbitrarily oriented multioscillator antennas above a plane Earth. The boundary-value problem is reduced to a system of Gallen integral equations, which is solved by Galerkin's method with self-regularization. The saddle-point method is used to evaluate the Sommerfeld integrals for the far-zone field. The article considers optimization of the shape of a planar domain with an integral functional subject to integral inequality constraints and constraints on domain location. The first plane initial—boundary-value problem for the telegraph equation is reduced by a Chebyshev—Laguerre temporal integral transform to a sequence of stationary boundary-value problems for elliptic equations. Their solutions are sought in integral form. This leads to a recursive sequence of integral equations of the first kind that are solved by the collocation method with isolation of singularities. An algorithm is described for the two-dimensional inverse problem of magnetotelluric sounding with E-polarization, based on minimization of the Tikhonov smoothing functional by the Newton—Kantorovich method (linearization method). The method of integral equations is used in the algorithm to solve the direct problem of magnetotelluric sounding. D. Gale, in 1957 and H.J. Ryser, in 1963, independently proved the famous Gale–Ryser theorem on the existence of (0, 1)–matrices with prescribed row and column sums. Around the same time, in 1968, Mirsky solved the more general problem of finding conditions for the existence of a nonnegative integral matrix with entries less than or equal to p and prescribed row and column sums. Using the results of Mirsky, Brualdi shows that a modified version of the domination condition of Gale–Ryser is still necessary and sufficient for the existence of a matrix under the same constraints. In this article we prove another extension of Gale–Ryser’s domination condition. Furthermore we present a method to build nonnegative integral matrices with entries less than or equal to p and prescribed row and column sums.  相似文献

We study the structures of two types of generalizations of intersection-bodies and the problem of whether they are in fact equivalent. Intersection-bodies were introduced by Lutwak and played a key role in the solution of the Busemann–Petty problem. A natural geometric generalization of this problem considered by Zhang, led him to introduce one type of generalized intersection-bodies. A second type was introduced by Koldobsky, who studied a different analytic generalization of this problem. Koldobsky also studied the connection between these two types of bodies, and noted that an equivalence between these two notions would completely settle the unresolved cases in the generalized Busemann–Petty problem. We show that these classes share many identical structural properties, proving the same results using integral geometry techniques for Zhang's class and Fourier transform techniques for Koldobsky's class. Using a functional analytic approach, we give several surprising equivalent formulations for the equivalence problem, which reveal a deep connection to several fundamental problems in the integral geometry of the Grassmann manifold.  相似文献

We obtain a system of integral equations for the spinor amplitude of a wave packet describing a massive neutral Dirac particle in a curved space–time with an arbitrary geometry. This equation permits describing the spin dynamics of fermions in gravitational fields adequately to the quantum nature of spin. We consider a specific example of the Kerr–Schild metric. The problem of a long hollow viscoelastic cylinder, enclosed in an elastic shell and loaded by internal pressure, is considered. Two cases are investigated: 1) the shear and volume relaxation kernels are proportional; 2) the shear and volume creep kernels are proportional.
