The synthesis, crystal structure, and physical characterization of the coordination compounds [Ni(en)2]4[Fe(CN)5NO]2[Fe(CN)6]x5H2O (1), [Ni(en)2][Fe(CN)5NO]x3H2O (2), [Mn(3-MeOsalen)(H2O)]2[Fe(CN)5NO] (3), and [Mn(5-Brsalen)]2[Fe(CN)5NO] (4) are presented. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n (a = 7.407(4) A, b = 28.963(6) A, c = 14.744(5) A, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 103.26(4) degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, Z = 2). Its structure consists of branched linear chains formed by cis-[Ni(en)2]2+ cations and ferrocyanide and nitroprusside anions. The presence of two kinds of iron(II) sites has been demonstrated by M?ssbauer spectroscopy. 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c (a = 11.076(3) A, b = 10.983(2) A, c = 17.018(5) A, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 107.25(2) degrees, gamma = 90 degrees, Z = 4). Its structure consists of zigzag chains formed by an alternated array of cis-[Ni(en)2]2+ cations and nitroprusside anions. 3 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 (a = 8.896(5) A, b = 10.430(5) A, c = 12.699(5) A, alpha = 71.110(5) degrees, beta = 79.990(5) degrees, gamma = 89.470(5) degrees, Z = 1). Its structure comprises neutral trinuclear bimetallic complexes in which a central [Fe(CN)5NO]2- anion is linked to two [Mn(3-MeOsalen)]+ cations. 4 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group P4/ncc (a = 13.630(5) A, c = 21.420(8) A, Z = 4). Its structure shows an extended 2D neutral network formed by cyclic octameric [-Mn-NC-Fe-CN-]4 units. The magnetic properties of these compounds indicate the presence of quasi-isolated paramagnetic Ni2+ and Mn3+. Irradiated samples of the four compounds have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry to detect the existence of the long-lived metastable states of nitroprusside.  相似文献

Reaction of KNH(2), K(2)Se, Se, [2.2.2]-cryptand, and a metal source yields the metal bis(maleonitrilediselenolates) [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](2)[M(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (M = Ni, 1; Pd, 2, Pt, 3). These compounds are isostructural and crystallize with four formula units in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c in cells at T = 153 K with parameters (a (A), b (A), c (A), beta (deg), V (A(3))) of 12.220(1), 15.860(2), 15.306(1), 107.64(2), 2827(1) for 1; 12.291(1), 15.669(1), 15.548(1), 108.55(1), 2839(1) for 2; and 12.292(3), 15.671(3), 15.569(3), 108.59(3), 2842(1) for 3. The cation of 1 has been substituted to yield [Ni(dmf)(5)Cl](2)[Ni(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (4). [Ni(dmf)(5)Cl](2)[Ni(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(2)] (4) crystallizes with one molecule in the triclinic space group P1 in a cell with parameters (T = 153 K) of a = 8.842(2) A, b =13.161(3) A, c = 13.831(3) A, alpha = 110.08(3) degrees, beta = 95.23(3) degrees, gamma = 93.72(3) degrees, V = 1484(1) A(3). The electronic absorption and infrared spectra are characteristic of metal maleonitrilediselenolates. Cyclic voltammetry shows that the maleonitrilediselenolate (mns) complexes are more easily oxidized than their maleonitriledithiolate (mnt) analogues.  相似文献

The one-electron oxidized linear pentanuclear nickel complexes [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(H(2)O)(BF(4))](BF(4))(2) (1) and [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)(SO(3)CF(3))(2)](SO(3)CF(3)) (2) have been synthesized by reacting the neutral compound [Ni(5)(tpda)(4)Cl(2)] with the corresponding silver salts. These compounds have been characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 15.3022(1) A, b = 31.0705(3) A, c = 15.8109(2) A, beta = 92.2425(4) degrees, V = 7511.49(13) A(3), Z = 4, and compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 42.1894(7) A, b = 17.0770(3) A, c = 21.2117(4) A, beta = 102.5688(8) degrees, V = 14916.1(5) A(3), Z = 8. X-ray structural studies reveal an unsymmetrical Ni(5) unit for both compounds 1 and 2. Compounds 1 and 2 show stronger Ni-Ni interactions as compared to those of the neutral compounds.  相似文献

Reactions between [M(N(4)-macrocycle)](2+) (M = Zn(II) and Ni(II); macrocycle ligands are either CTH = d,l-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane or cyclam = 1,4, 8, 11-tetrazaazaciclotetradecane) and [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe(III) and Mn(III)) give rise to cyano-bridged assemblies with 1D linear chain and 2D honeycomblike structures. The magnetic measurements on the 1D linear chain complex [Fe(cyclam)][Fe(CN)(6)].6H(2)O 1 points out its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within the chain and the antiferromagnetic one between chains. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 5.5 K and the critical field at 2 K is 1 T. The unexpected ferromagnetic intrachain interaction can be rationalized on the basis of the axially elongated octahedral geometry of the low spin Fe(III) ion of the [Fe(cyclam)](3+) unit. The isostructural substitution of [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by [Mn(CN)(6)](3-) in the previously reported complex [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).12H(2)O 2 leads to [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Mn(CN)(6)](2).16 H(2)O 3, which exhibits a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a metamagnetic behavior with T(N) = 16 K and a critical field of 1 T. In the ferromagnetic phase (H > 1 T) this compound shows a very important coercitive field of 2900 G at 2 K. Compound [Ni(CTH)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).13H(2)O 4, C(60)H(116)Fe(2)N(24)Ni(3)O(13), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 20.462(7), b = 16.292(4), c = 27.262(7) A, beta = 101.29(4) degrees, Z = 4, also has a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a ferromagnetic intralayer interaction, but, in contrast to 2 and 3, does not exhibit any magnetic ordering. This fact is likely due to the increase of the interlayer separation in this compound. ([Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)] [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)].22H(2)O.EtOH) 5, C(44)H(122)Fe(2)N(24)O(23)Zn(3), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 14.5474(11), b = 37.056(2), c = 14.7173(13) A, beta = 93.94(1) degrees, Z = 4, presents an unique structure made of anionic linear chains containing alternating [Zn(cyclam)](2+) and [Fe(CN)(6)](3)(-) units and cationic trinuclear units [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)](+). Their magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low spin iron(III) ions.  相似文献

Two novel coordination polymers of Co(II) with dicyanamide (dca) were obtained by the addition of ancillary ligands of pyrazine dioxide (pzdo) and 2-methyl pyrazine dioxide (mpdo) into the Co-dca binary system, respectively. Co[N(CN)(2)](2)(pzdo) (1) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group of Pnnm (No. 58) with a = 9.4699(5) A, b = 14.9984(3) A, c = 7.4313(7) A, and Z = 4, while Co[N(CN)(2)](2)(mpdo) (2) is in the monoclinic space group C2 (No. 5) with a = 16.5391(4) A, b = 9.6065(2) A, c = 7.5001(2) A, beta = 105.779(1) degrees, and Z = 4. Both complexes contain similar two-dimensional triangular Co-dca layers, which offer rare examples of mixed 1,5-mu- and mu(3)-dca bridging coordination polymers with long-range ferromagnetic ordering below ca. 2.5 K.  相似文献

Reaction of AgBF(4), KNH(2), K(2)Se, Se, and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](4)[Ag(4)(Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2))(4)] (1). In the unit cell of 1 there are four [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](+) units and a tetrahedral Ag(4) anionic core coordinated in mu(1)-Se, mu(2)-Se fashion by each of four mns ligands (mns = maleonitrilediselenolate, [Se(2)C(2)(CN)(2)](2)(-)). Reaction of AgNO(3), Na(2)(mnt) (mnt = maleonitriledithiolate, [S(2)C(2)(CN)(2)](2)(-)), and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [Na([2.2.2]-cryptand)](4)[Ag(4)(mnt)(4)].0.33MeCN (2). The Ag(4) anion of 2 is analogous to that in 1. Reaction of AgNO(3), Na(2)(mnt), and [NBu(4)]Br in acetonitrile yields [NBu(4)](4)[Ag(4)(mnt)(4)] (3). The anion of 3 also comprises an Ag(4) core coordinated by four mnt ligands, but the Ag(4) core is diamond-shaped rather than tetrahedral. Reaction of [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mns)(Se(6))] with KNH(2) and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [K([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mns)(2)].2MeCN (4). The anion of 4 comprises an Ag center coordinated by two mns ligands in a tetrahedral arrangement. Reaction of AgNO(3), 2 equiv of Na(2)(mnt), and [2.2.2]-cryptand in acetonitrile yields [Na([2.2.2]-cryptand)](3)[Ag(mnt)(2)] (5). The anion of 5 is analogous to that of 4. Electronic absorption and infrared spectra of each complex show behavior characteristic of metal-maleonitriledichalcogenates. The heterometallic complex (NH(3))(2)YbFe(CO)(4) was prepared from the reduction of Fe(3)(CO)(12) by Yb in liquid ammonia. Ammonia was displaced from (NH(3))(2)YbFe(CO)(4) by acetonitrile in acetonitrile solution, and the crystalline compounds {[(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4))](2).CH(3)CN}(infinity) and [(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4)](infinity) were obtained. An earlier X-ray study of {[(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4)](2).CH(3)CN}(infinity) showed that it is a ladder polymer with direct Yb-Fe bonds. In the present study, an X-ray crystal structure analysis also showed that [(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4)](infinity) is a sheetlike array with direct Yb-Fe bonds. Crystal data for {[(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4)](2).CH(3)CN}(infinity): monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, a = 21.515(8) ?, b = 7.838(2) ?, c = 19.866(6) ?, beta = 105.47(2) degrees, Z = 4. Crystal data for [(CH(3)CN)(3)YbFe(CO)(4)](infinity): monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, a = 8.364(3) ?, b = 9.605(5) ?, c = 17.240(6) ?, beta = 92.22(3) degrees, Z = 4. Electrical conductivity measurements in acetonitrile show that these acetonitrile complexes are partially dissociated into ionic species. IR and NMR spectra of the solutions reveal the presence of [HFe(CO)(4)](-). However, upon recrystallization, the acetonitrile complexes show no evidence for the presence of [HFe(CO)(4)](-) on the basis of their IR spectra. The solid state MAS (2)H NMR spectra of deuterated acetonitrile complexes give no evidence for [(2)HFe(CO)(4)](-). It appears that rupture of the Yb-Fe bond could occur in solution to generate the ion pair [L(n)Yb](2+)[Fe(CO)(4)](2-), but then the highly basic [Fe(CO)(4)](2-) anion could abstract a proton from a coordinated acetonitrile ligand to form [HFe(CO)(4)](-). However, upon crystallization, the proton could be transferred back to the ligand, which results in the neutral polymeric species.  相似文献

A series of new heterometallic coordination polymers has been prepared from the reaction of metal-ligand cations and KAg(CN)(2) units. Many of these contain silver-silver (argentophilic) interactions, analogous to gold-gold interactions, which serve to increase supramolecular structural dimensionality. Compared to [Au(CN)(2)](-) analogues, these polymers display new trends specific to [Ag(CN)(2)](-), including the formation of [Ag(2)(CN)(3)](-) and the presence of Ag...N interactions. [Cu(en)(2)][Ag(2)(CN)(3)][Ag(CN)(2)] (1, en = ethylenediamine) forms 1-D chains of alternating [Ag(CN)(2)](-) and [Ag(2)(CN)(3)](-) units via argentophilic interactions of 3.102(1) A. These chains are connected into a 2-D array by strong cyano(N)-Ag interactions of 2.572(3) A. [Cu(dien)Ag(CN)(2)](2)[Ag(2)(CN)(3)][Ag(CN)(2)] (2, dien = diethylenetriamine) forms a 1-D chain of alternating [Cu(dien)](2+) and [Ag(CN)(2)](-) ions with the Cu(II) atoms connected in an apical/equatorial fashion. These chains are cross-linked by [Ag(2)(CN)(3)](-) units via argentophilic interactions of 3.1718(8) A and held weakly in a 3-D array by argentophilic interactions of 3.2889(5) A between the [Ag(CN)(2)](-) in the 2-D array and the remaining free [Ag(CN)(2)](-). [Ni(en)][Ni(CN)(4)].2.5H(2)O (4) was identified as a byproduct in the reaction to prepare the previously reported [Ni(en)(2)Ag(2)(CN)(3)][Ag(CN)(2)] (3). In [Ni(tren)Ag(CN)(2)][Ag(CN)(2)] (5, tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine), [Ni(tren)](2+) cations are linked in a cis fashion by [Ag(CN)(2)](-) anions to form a 1-D chain similar to the [Au(CN)(2)](-) analogue. [Cu(en)Cu(CN)(2)Ag(CN)(2)] (6) is a trimetallic polymer consisting of interpenetrating (6,3) nets stabilized by d(10)-d(10) interactions between Cu(I)-Ag(I) (3.1000(4) A). Weak antiferromagnetic coupling has been observed in 2, and a slightly stronger exchange has been observed in 6. The Ni(II) complexes, 4 and 5, display weak antiferromagnetic interactions as indicated by their relatively larger D values compared to that of 3. Magnetic measurements on isostructural [Ni(tren)M(CN)(2)][M(CN)(2)] (M = Ag, Au) show that Ag(I) is a more efficient mediator of magnetic exchange as compared to Au(I). The formation of [Ni(CN)(4)](2)(-), [Ag(2)(CN)(3)](-), and [Cu(CN)(2)](-) are all attributed to secondary reactions of the dissociation products of the labile KAg(CN)(2).  相似文献

Kinetic studies of cyanide exchange on [M(CN)(4)](2-) square-planar complexes (M = Pt, Pd, and Ni) were performed as a function of pH by (13)C NMR. The [Pt(CN)(4)](2-) complex has a purely second-order rate law, with CN(-) as acting as the nucleophile, with the following kinetic parameters: (k(2)(Pt,CN))(298) = 11 +/- 1 s(-1) mol(-1) kg, DeltaH(2) (Pt,CN) = 25.1 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS(2) (Pt,CN) = -142 +/- 4 J mol(-1) K(-1), and DeltaV(2) (Pt,CN) = -27 +/- 2 cm(3) mol(-1). The Pd(II) metal center has the same behavior down to pH 6. The kinetic parameters are as follows: (k(2)(Pd,CN))(298) = 82 +/- 2 s(-1) mol(-1) kg, DeltaH(2) (Pd,CN) = 23.5 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS(2) (Pd,CN) = -129 +/- 5 J mol(-1) K(-1), and DeltaV(2) (Pd,CN) = -22 +/- 2 cm(3) mol(-1). At low pH, the tetracyanopalladate is protonated (pK(a)(Pd(4,H)) = 3.0 +/- 0.3) to form [Pd(CN)(3)HCN](-). The rate law of the cyanide exchange on the protonated complex is also purely second order, with (k(2)(PdH,CN))(298) = (4.5 +/- 1.3) x 10(3) s(-1) mol(-1) kg. [Ni(CN)(4)](2-) is involved in various equilibrium reactions, such as the formation of [Ni(CN)(5)](3-), [Ni(CN)(3)HCN](-), and [Ni(CN)(2)(HCN)(2)] complexes. Our (13)C NMR measurements have allowed us to determine that the rate constant leading to the formation of [Ni(CN)(5)](3-) is k(2)(Ni(4),CN) = (2.3 +/- 0.1) x 10(6) s(-1) mol(-1) kg when the following activation parameters are used: DeltaH(2)() (Ni,CN) = 21.6 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS(2) (Ni,CN) = -51 +/- 7 J mol(-1) K(-1), and DeltaV(2) (Ni,CN) = -19 +/- 2 cm(3) mol(-1). The rate constant of the back reaction is k(-2)(Ni(4),CN) = 14 x 10(6) s(-1). The rate law pertaining to [Ni(CN)(2)(HCN)(2)] was found to be second order at pH 3.8, and the value of the rate constant is (k(2)(Ni(4,2H),CN))(298) = (63 +/- 15) x10(6) s(-1) mol(-1) kg when DeltaH(2) (Ni(4,2H),CN) = 47.3 +/- 1 kJ mol(-1), DeltaS(2) (Ni(4,2H),CN) = 63 +/- 3 J mol(-1) K(-1), and DeltaV(2) (Ni(4,2H),CN) = - 6 +/- 1 cm(3) mol(-1). The cyanide-exchange rate constant on [M(CN)(4)](2-) for Pt, Pd, and Ni increases in a 1:7:200 000 ratio. This trend is modified at low pH, and the palladium becomes 400 times more reactive than the platinum because of the formation of [Pd(CN)(3)HCN](-). For all cyanide exchanges on tetracyano complexes (A mechanism) and on their protonated forms (I/I(a) mechanisms), we have always observed a pure second-order rate law: first order for the complex and first order for CN(-). The nucleophilic attack by HCN or solvation by H(2)O is at least nine or six orders of magnitude slower, respectively than is nucleophilic attack by CN(-) for Pt(II), Pd(II), and Ni(II), respectively.  相似文献

A homologous series of dinuclear compounds with the bridging ligand 2-(2-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pynp) has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallographic and spectroscopic methods. [Mo(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x 3CH(3)CN (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 15.134(5) A, b = 14.301(6) A, c = 19.990(6) A, beta = 108.06(2) degrees, V = 4113(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Ru(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][PF(6)](2) x 2CH(3)OH (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 14.2228(7) A, b = 20.3204(9) A, c = 14.1022(7) A, beta = 95.144(1) degrees, V = 4059.3(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x C(7)H(8) (3) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 13.409(2) A, b = 21.670(3) A, c = 13.726(2) A, beta = 94.865(2) degrees, V = 3973.9(8) A(3), and Z = 4. A minor product, [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)][PF(6)] x 2CH(3)CN (4), was isolated from the mother liquor after crystals of 3 had been harvested; this compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group, P1 with a = 12.535(3) A, b = 13.116(3) A, c = 13.785(3) A, alpha = 82.52(3) degrees, beta = 77.70(3) degrees, gamma = 85.76(3) degrees, V = 2193.0(8) A(3), and Z = 2. Compounds 1-3 constitute a convenient series for probing the influence of the electronic configuration on the extent of mixing of the M-M orbitals with the pi system of the pynp ligand. Single point energy calculations performed on 1-3 at the B3LYP level of theory lend insight into the bonding in these compounds and allow for correlations to be made with electronic spectral data. Although purely qualitative in nature, the values for normalized change in orbital energies (NCOE) of the frontier orbitals before and after reduction are in agreement with the observed differences in reduction potentials as determined by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Methanol adsorption into the porous 2D bimetallic coordination network {[Ni(cyclam)](3)[W(CN)(8)](2)}(n) (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) causes significant modification of its structure and magnetic properties. Fully reversible transformations between the three states of the network: anhydrous, hydrated and methanol-modified are observed with the transition to the magnetic ordered state at T(c) equal to 4.9 K, 8.3 K and 11.4 K respectively. All three phases have a metamagnetic character but the methanol-modified one most easily turns to ferromagnetic and shows a hysteresis loop with coercivity field of 250 Oe. The differences in magnetic behaviour of the anhydrous and guest-induced forms of the compound are discussed in terms of changes in the structure: CN-bridge geometry and distance between the layers.  相似文献

Three-dimensional network structures of [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[M(III)(CN)(6)] (M = Cr, Fe, Co) composition have been formed and their magnetic properties characterized. [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[M(III)(CN)(6)] (M = Cr, Fe, Co) have nu(CN) IR absorptions at 2138, 2116, and 2125 cm(-1) and have body-centered unit cells (a = 13.34, 13.30, and 13.10 A, respectively) with -M-Ctbd1;N-Ru=Ru-Ntbd1;C-M- linkages along all three Cartesian axes. [Ru(II/III)(2)(O(2)CMe)(4)](3)[Cr(III)(CN)(6)] magnetically orders as a ferrimagnet (T(c) = 33 K) and has an unusual constricted hysteresis loop.  相似文献

Crystal structures of three Ni(CN)(4)(2)(-) salts all with eclipsed ligands and varying axial stacking arrangements are presented. The absorption spectra of all three salts show a slight red shift in the x,y-polarizations and a large red shift in their z-polarizations upon crystallization from solution. Semiempirical ZINDO calculations provide a good model of the solid state, even with only a three-molecule segment, allowing reproduction of the red-shifting and intensity increase upon crystallization found experimentally. The modified nickel beta(s,p) bonding parameter of -5 found appropriate for Ni coordination in our previous studies of single Ni(CN)(4)(2-) planes and a helically stacked Cs(2)[Ni(CN)(4)].H(2)O crystal was changed to -3 for the more parallel-stacked Ni(CN)(4)(2-) planes in this case, while beta(d) was retained at -41. Crystal data are as follows: Na(2)[Ni(CN)(4)].3H(2)O, triclinic space group P1, a = 7.2980(10) A, b = 8.8620(10) A, c = 15.132(2) A, alpha = 89.311(5) degrees, beta = 87.326(5) degrees, gamma = 83.772(6) degrees, V = 971.8(2) A(3), T = 100 K, Z = 4, R = 0.024, R(w) = 0.064; Sr[Ni(CN)(4)].5H(2)O, monoclinic space group C2/m, a = 10.356(2) A, b = 15.272(3) A, c = 7.1331(10) A, beta = 98.548(12) degrees, V = 1115.6(3) A(3), T = 100 K, Z = 4, R = 0.024, R(w) = 0.059; Rb(2)[Ni(CN)(4)].1.05H(2)O, triclinic space group P1, a = 8.6020(10) A, b = 9.6930(10) A, c = 12.006(2) A, alpha = 92.621(6) degrees, beta = 94.263(6) degrees, gamma = 111.795(10) degrees, V = 924.0(2) A(3), T = 100 K, Z = 4, R = 0.034, R(w) = 0.067.  相似文献

The new cyano complexes of formulas PPh(4)[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)] x H(2)O (1), [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] x 4H(2)O with M = Mn (2) and Zn (3), and [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)Zn(II)] x 2H(2)O (4) [bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine and PPh(4) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation] have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure of complex 1 is made up of mononuclear [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) anions, tetraphenyphosphonium cations, and water molecules of crystallization. The iron(III) is hexacoordinated with two nitrogen atoms of a chelating bipy and four carbon atoms of four terminal cyanide groups, building a distorted octahedron around the metal atom. The structure of complexes 2 and 3 consists of neutral centrosymmetric [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] heterotrinuclear units and crystallization water molecules. The [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) entity of 1 is present in 2 and 3 acting as a monodentate ligand toward M(H(2)O)(4) units [M = Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3)] through one cyanide group, the other three cyanides remaining terminal. Four water molecules and two cyanide nitrogen atoms from two [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units in trans positions build a distorted octahedron surrounding Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3). The structure of the [Fe(phen)(CN)(4)](-) complex ligand in 2 and 3 is close to that of the one in 1. The intramolecular Fe-M distances are 5.126(1) and 5.018(1) A in 2 and 3, respectively. 4 exhibits a neutral one-dimensional polymeric structure containing two types of [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units acting as bismonodentate (Fe(1)) and trismonodentate (Fe(2)) ligands versus the divalent zinc cations through two cis-cyanide (Fe(1)) and three fac-cyanide (Fe(2)) groups. The environment of the iron atoms in 4 is distorted octahedral as in 1-3, whereas the zinc atom is pentacoordinated with five cyanide nitrogen atoms, describing a very distorted square pyramid. The iron-zinc separations across the single bridging cyanides are 5.013(1) and 5.142(1) A at Fe(1) and 5.028(1), 5.076(1), and 5.176(1) A at Fe(2). The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0-300 K. 1 is a low-spin iron(III) complex with an important orbital contribution. The magnetic properties of 3 correspond to the sum of two magnetically isolated spin triplets, the antiferromagnetic coupling between the low-spin iron(III) centers through the -CN-Zn-NC- bridging skeleton (iron-iron separation larger than 10 A) being very weak. More interestingly, 2 exhibits a significant intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the central spin sextet and peripheral spin doublets, leading to a low-lying spin quartet.  相似文献

Two bimetallic assemblies, [Ni(tn)(2)](2)[Cr(CN)(5)(NO)]OH.H(2)O (1) and [Ni(tn)(2)](2)[Co(CN)(6)]NO(3).2H(2)O (2) (tn = 1,3-diaminopropane), have been prepared and structurally and magnetically characterized. Crystal data for 1 (2): space group P1 (P1), a = 8.698(3) (8.937(2)) A, b = 10.001(2) (9.863(1)) A, c = 10.158(2) (10.064(1)) A, alpha = 87.40(2) (86.064(10)) degrees, beta = 65.10(2) (65.489(10)) degrees, gamma = 81.63(2) (81.572(12)) degrees and Z = 1 (1). Both structures consist of two-dimensional grid-like polycations containing Ni-N triple bond C-M linkages (M = Cr or Co) and counteranions (OH, NO(3)). Magnetic studies of 1 showed that the complex displays a metamagnetic behavior originating from intralayer ferromagnetic and interlayer antiferromagnetic interactions. Long-range antiferromagnetic ordering was observed at T(N) = 3.3 K. Complex 2 exhibits intramolecular ferromagnetic interactions through the diamagnetic N triple bond C-Co-N triple bond C bridges, owing to superexchange involving the empty d(sigma) orbital of the diamagnetic Co(III) ion.  相似文献

Solutions of K[Au(CN)(2)] and K[Ag(CN)(2)] in water and methanol exhibit strong photoluminescence. Aqueous solutions of K[Au(CN)(2)] at ambient temperature exhibit luminescence at concentration levels of > or =10(-2) M, while frozen methanol glasses (77 K) exhibit strong luminescence with concentrations as low as 10(-5) M. The corresponding concentration limits for K[Ag(CN)(2)] solutions are 10(-1) M at ambient temperature and 10(-4) M at 77 K. Systematic variations in concentration, solvent, temperature, and excitation wavelength tune the luminescence energy of both K[Au(CN)(2)] and K[Ag(CN)(2)] solutions by >15 x 10(3) cm(-1) in the UV-visible region. The luminescence bands have been individually assigned to *[Au(CN)(2)(-)](n) and *[Ag(CN)(2)(-)](n) excimers and exciplexes that differ in "n" and geometry. The luminescence of Au(I) compounds is related for the first time to Au-Au bonded excimers and exciplexes similar to those reported earlier for Ag(I) compounds. Fully optimized unrestricted open-shell MP2 calculations for the lowest-energy triplet excited state of staggered [Au(CN)(2)(-)](2) show the formation of a Au-Au sigma single bond (2.66 A) in the triplet excimer, compared to a weaker ground-state aurophilic bond (2.96 A). The corresponding frequency calculations revealed Au-Au Raman-active stretching frequencies at 89.8 and 165.7 cm(-1) associated with the ground state and lowest triplet excited state, respectively. The experimental evidence of the exciplex assignment includes the extremely large Stokes shifts and the structureless feature of the luminescence bands, which suggest very distorted excited states. Extended Hückel (EH) calculations for [M(CN)(2)(-)](n) and *[M(CN)(2)(-)](n) models (M = Au, Ag; n = 2, 3) indicate the formation of M-M bonds in the first excited electronic states. From the average EH values for staggered dimers and trimers, the excited-state Au-Au and Ag-Ag bond energies are predicted to be 104 and 112 kJ/mol, respectively. The corresponding bond energies in the ground state are 32 and 25 kJ/mol, respectively.  相似文献

Two new one-dimensional compounds, trans-[Mn(4-bzpy)2(N(CN)2)2]n (1) and cis-[Mn(bpy)(N(CN)2)2]n (2), have been synthesized and studied from a magnetic point of view (4-bzpy = 4-benzoylpyridine; bpy = 2,2'-bipyridyl). The crystal structures of 1 and 2 have been solved. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, P2(1)/n group, a = 6.374(2) A, b = 7.584(2) A, c = 26.766(5) A, beta = 91.87 degrees, and Z = 2, whereas compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, C2/c group, a = 6.707(2) A, b = 17.188(5) A, c = 13.096(5) A, beta = 90.54 degrees, and Z = 4. The two compounds consist of chains with double mu 1,5-dicyanamide bridges between neighboring manganese(II) atoms. The weak antiferromagnetic coupling found for the two compounds (J = -0.3 cm-1 for 1 and -0.4 cm-1 for 2) has been studied by MO analysis, and the superexchange pathway through the mu 1,5-(NCNCN-) bridge has been compared with the shorter mu 1,3-(NNN-).  相似文献

1 INTRODUCTION Bimetallic assemblies with Prussian Blue-likestructure form a family of materials that exhibit spon-taneous magnetization[1~3] as well as interesting elec-trochemical, optoelectronic amagneto-optical properties[4]. One alternative route to synthesize bimetalliccyanide-bridged extended arrays is by using hexa-cyanometalate as good building unit to obtain a largenumber of one-, two- and three-dimensional cyano-bridge assemblies[5, . The compound [(CH(3))C(NH(2))(2)](4)[Re(6)Se(8)(CN)(6)] has been synthesized by the reaction at 200 degrees C for 3 days of Re(4)Te(4)(TeCl(2))(4)Cl(8), KSeCN, and NH(4)Cl in superheated acetonitrile. This compound crystallizes in the space group C2/c of the monoclinic system with four formula units in a cell of dimensions a = 20.3113(14) A, b = 10.1332(7) A, c = 19.9981(14) A, beta = 106.754(1) degrees, V = 3941.3(5) A(3) (T = 153 K). The [Re(6)Se(8)(CN)(6)](4-) anion comprises an Re(6) octahedron face capped by mu(3)-Se atoms, with each Re atom liganded by a CN group. The anions and cations are connected by an extensive network of hydrogen bonds. The conversion of a Re(IV) tetrahedral cluster to a Re(III) octahedral cluster appears to be unprecedented.  相似文献

The generation of metal cyanide ions in the gas phase by laser ablation of M(CN)(2) (M = Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Hg), Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O, Ag(3)[M(CN)(6)] (M = Fe, Co), and Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)] has been investigated using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Irradiation of Zn(CN)(2) and Cd(CN)(2) produced extensive series of anions, [Zn(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (1 < or = n < or = 27) and [Cd(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (n = 1, 2, 8-27, and possibly 29, 30). Cations Hg(CN)(+) and [Hg(2)(CN)(x)](+) (x = 1-3), and anions [Hg(CN)(x)](-) (x = 2, 3), are produced from Hg(CN)(2). Irradiation of Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O gives the anions [Fe(CN)(2)](-), [Fe(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Fe(2)(CN)(5)](-). When Ag(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] is ablated, [AgFe(CN)(4)](-) and [Ag(2)Fe(CN)(5)](-) are observed together with homoleptic anions of Fe and Ag. The additional heterometallic complexes [AgFe(2)(CN)(6)](-), [AgFe(3)(CN)(8)](-), [Ag(2)Fe(2)(CN)(7)](-), and [Ag(3)Fe(CN)(6)](-) are observed on ablation of Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)]. Homoleptic anions [Co(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Co(3)(CN)(5)](-) are formed when anhydrous Co(CN)(2) is the target. Ablation of Ag(3)[Co(CN)(6)] yields cations [Ag(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n)](+) (n = 1, 2) and anions [Ag(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n-1)](-) (n = 1, 2), [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1, 2), and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+3)](-) (n = 0-2). The Ni(I) species [Ni(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ni(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3) are produced when anhydrous Ni(CN)(2) is irradiated. In all cases, CN(-) and polyatomic carbon nitride ions C(x)N(y)(-) are formed concurrently. On the basis of density functional calculations, probable structures are proposed for most of the newly observed species. General structural features are low coordination numbers, regular trigonal coordination stereochemistry for d(10) metals but distorted trigonal stereochemistry for transition metals, the occurrence of M-CN-M and M(-CN-)(2)M bridges, addition of AgCN to terminal CN ligands, and the occurrence of high spin ground states for linear [M(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) complexes of Co and Ni.  相似文献
