Some inequalities in inner product spaces related to the generalized triangle inequality

In this paper we obtain some inequalities related to the generalized triangle and quadratic triangle inequalities for vectors in inner product spaces. Some results that employ the Ostrowski discrete inequality for vectors in normed linear spaces are also obtained.     

Characterizations of Sobolev inequalities on metric spaces

We discuss Maz'ya type isocapacitary characterizations of Sobolev inequalities on metric measure spaces.     

Interpolation inequality of logarithmic type in abstract Besov spaces and an application to semilinear evolution equations

An abstract version of Besov spaces is introduced by using the resolvent of nonnegative operators. Interpolation inequalities with respect to abstract Besov spaces and generalized Lorentz spaces are obtained. These inequalities provide a generalization of Sobolev inequalities of logarithmic type. Two-weight norm inequalities for fractional maximal functions and fractional integral operators on weighted Morrey spaces

In this paper, we consider weighted norm inequalities for fractional maximal operators and fractional integral operators. For suitable weights, we prove the two-weight norm inequalities for both operators on weighted Morrey spaces.     

Maximal operator for multilinear Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators on weighted Hardy spaces

In this paper, the maximal operator associated with multilinear Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators will be studied by using an improved Coltlar's inequality. Moreover, weighted norm inequalities and some estimates on weighted Hardy spaces are obtained for this maximal operator.     

Interpolation of Operators on Scales of Generalized Lorentz-Zygmund Spaces

We define generalized Lorentz-Zygmund spaces and obtain interpolation theorems for quasilinear operators on such spaces, using weighted Hardy inequalities. In the limiting cases of interpolation, we discover certain scaling property of these spaces and use it to obtain fine interpolation theorems in which the source is a sum of spaces and the target is an intersection of spaces. This yields a considerable improvement of the known results which we demonstrate with examples. We prove sharpness of the interpolation theorems by showing that the constraints on parameters are necessary for the interpolation theorems.     

Generalizations of the Riesz convergence theorem for Lorentz spaces

Summary We obtain preservation inequalities for Lipschitz constants of higher order in simultaneous approximation processes by Bernstein type operators. From such inequalities we derive the preservation of the corresponding Lipschitz spaces.     

Refinements of the Cauchy–Bunyakovsky–Schwarz inequality for functions of selfadjoint operators in Hilbert spaces

Some inequalities for continuous functions of selfadjoint operators in Hilbert spaces that improve the Cauchy–Bunyakovsky–Schwarz inequality, are given.     

Norm inequalities for the spectral spread of Hermitian operators

In this work, we introduce a new measure for the dispersion of the spectral scale of a Hermitian (self-adjoint) operator acting on a separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space that we call spectral spread. Then, we obtain some submajorization inequalities involving the spectral spread of self-adjoint operators, that are related to Tao's inequalities for anti-diagonal blocks of positive operators, Kittaneh's commutator inequalities for positive operators and also related to the arithmetic–geometric mean inequality. In turn, these submajorization relations imply inequalities for unitarily invariant norms (in the compact case).     

Two-Weighted Inequalities for Integral Operators in Lorentz Spaces Defined on Homogeneous Groups

The optimal sufficient conditions are found for weights, which guarantee the validity of two-weighted inequalities for singular integrals in the Lorentz spaces defined on homogeneous groups. In some particular case, the found conditions are necessary for the corresponding inequalities to be valid. Also, the necessary and sufficient conditions are found for pairs of weights, which provide the validity of two-weighted inequalities for the generalized Hardy operator in the Lorentz spaces defined on homogeneous groups.     

Non-compact generalized variational inequalities for quasi-monotone and hemi-continuous operators with applications

Some results are obtained for non-compact cases in topological vector spaces for the existence problem of solutions for some set-valued variational inequalities with quasi-monotone and lower hemi-continuous operators, and with quasi-semi-monotone and upper hemi-continuous operators. Some applications are given in non-reflexive Banach spaces for these existence problems of solutions and for perturbation problems for these set-valued variational inequalities with quasi-monotone and quasi-semi-monotone operators. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Vector-valued Inequalities for Commutators of Singular Integrals on Herz Spaces with Variable Exponents

Based on the theory of variable exponents and BMO norms,we prove the vector-valued inequalities for commutators of singular integrals on both homogeneous and inhomogeneons Herz spaces where the two main indices are variable exponents.Furthermore,we show that a wide class of commutators generated by BMO functions and sublinear operators satisfy vector-valued inequalities.     

On some new spectral estimates for Schrödinger-like operators

We prove the analog of the Cwikel-Lieb-Rozenblum estimate for a wide class of second-order elliptic operators by two different tools: Lieb-Thirring inequalities for Schrödinger operators with matrix-valued potentials and Sobolev inequalities for warped product spaces.     

The boundedness of maximal operators and singular integrals via Fourier transform estimates

In this paper, the author studies the mapping properties for some general maximal operators and singular integrals on certain function spaces via Fourier transform estimates. Also, some concrete maximal operators and singular integrals are studied as applications.     

Factorizing operators on Banach function spaces through spaces of multiplication operators

In order to extend the theory of optimal domains for continuous operators on a Banach function space X(μ) over a finite measure μ, we consider operators T satisfying other type of inequalities than the one given by the continuity which occur in several well-known factorization theorems (for instance, Pisier Factorization Theorem through Lorentz spaces, pth-power factorable operators …). We prove that such a T factorizes through a space of multiplication operators which can be understood in a certain sense as the optimal domain for T. Our extended optimal domain technique does not need necessarily the equivalence between μ and the measure defined by the operator T and, by using δ-rings, μ is allowed to be infinite. Classical and new examples and applications of our results are also given, including some new results on the Hardy operator and a factorization theorem through Hilbert spaces.

A Buzano type inequality for two Hermitian forms and applications

A Buzano type inequality for two nonnegative Hermitian forms is obtained. Applications to inequalities for norm and numerical radius of bounded linear operators in complex Hilbert spaces are given.
