On complemented subgroups of finite groups

In this paper, it is proved that the class of all finite supersoluble groups with elementary abelian Sylow subgroups is just the class of all finite groups for which every minimal subgroup is complemented. The structure of a finite group under the assumption that all maximal subgroups (respectively 2-maximal) of any Sylow subgroup are complemented is also analyzed.     

Structure of finite groups with <Emphasis Type="Italic">S</Emphasis>-quasinormal third maximal subgroups

We study finite groups whose 3-maximal subgroups are permutable with all Sylow subgroups.

本文完全确定了下述类型的有限群：（１）对于某个素数ｐ，在其Ｓｙｌｏｗｐ－子群的集合上作用双传递的所有几乎单群；（２）所有的非交换单群Ｔ，其自同构群在Ｔ的某个Ｓｙｌｏｗｐ－子群的集合上作用双传递；（３）在其所有的Ｓｙｌｏｗ子群上双传递的全部有限群．     

具有给定Sylow-子群正规化子的有限群

本文研究了部分Sylow-子群的正规化子属于某群系且具有给定指数的有限{ p,q}-可解群,利用Sylow-子群正规化子的性质,获得了相关群的一个分类定理,并给出了若干推论.     

On Complementability of Nonmetacyclic Subgroups in Finite A-Groups

We study groups G that satisfy the following conditions: (i) G is a finite solvable group with nonprimary metacyclic second subgroup and (ii) all Sylow subgroups of the group G are elementary Abelian subgroups. We describe the structure of groups of this type with complementable nonmetacyclic subgroups.

SATURATED FORMATIONS CLOSED UNDER SYLOW NORMALIZERS

In this article we show that a finite soluble group possesses nilpotent Hall subgroups for well-defined sets of primes if and only if its Sylow normalizers satisfy the same property. In fact, this property of groups provides a characterization of the subgroup-closed saturated formations, whose elements are characterized by the Sylow normalizers belonging to the class, in the universe of all finite soluble groups.     

极小子群与超可解性

本文利用极小子群及Ｓｙｌｏｗ子群的“半正规”性得到有限群超可解的若干结果。其中定理１统一地推广了文〔１〕，〔２〕，〔４〕中几个定理，定理２，３也使文〔４〕中一些结果得到进一步推广。

令Ｒ为有限交换局部环，Ｍ表其唯一的极大理想，ｋ表其剩余类域．本文定出了Ｒ上的一般线性群ＧＬｎＲ，辛群Ｓｐ２ｎＲ及双曲正交群Ｏ２ｎＲ的Ｓｙｌｏｗ子群．一般讲，若ｃｈａｒｘ＝ｐ，上述三类典型群的Ｓｙｌｏｗ ｐ－子群分别同构于由某些特殊形式的矩阵生成的子群；若ｃｈａｒｋ≠ｐ，上述三类典型群的Ｓｙｌｏｗｐ－子群分别同构于一循环群或半二面体群与若干Ｚｐ型循环群的圈积。     

Two sufficient conditions for supersolvability of finite groups

In this paper two sufficient conditions for supersolvability of finite groups are given considering the maximal subgroups of Sylow subgroups of the group. An example is given to show that the conditions given are not necessary for supersolvability.     

Groups with maximal subgroups of Sylow subgroups normal

This paper characterizes those finite groups with the property that maximal subgroups of Sylow subgroups are normal. They are all certain extensions of nilpotent groups by cyclic groups.     

Sylow permutability in locally finite groups

A theorem is established which describes the structure of locally finite groups in whose finite subgroups Sylow permutability is a transitive relation.     

On a Finite Group Having a Normal Series Whose Factors Have Bicyclic Sylow Subgroups

We consider the structure of a finite group having a normal series whose factors have bicyclic Sylow subgroups. In particular, we investigate groups of odd order and A ₄-free groups with this property. Exact estimations of the derived length and nilpotent length of such groups are obtained.     

Perverse equivalences and Brouéʼs conjecture

We give a new approach to the construction of derived equivalences between blocks of finite groups, based on perverse equivalences, in the setting of Broué?s abelian defect group conjecture. We provide in particular local and global perversity data describing the principal blocks and the derived equivalences for a number of finite simple groups with Sylow subgroups elementary abelian of order 9. We also examine extensions to automorphism groups in a general setting.     

Algorithms for permutability in finite groups

In this paper we describe some algorithms to identify permutable and Sylow-permutable subgroups of finite groups, Dedekind and Iwasawa finite groups, and finite T-groups (groups in which normality is transitive), PT-groups (groups in which permutability is transitive), and PST-groups (groups in which Sylow permutability is transitive). These algorithms have been implemented in a package for the computer algebra system GAP.     

On <Emphasis Type="Italic">CAS</Emphasis>-subgroups of finite groups

We introduce a new subgroup embedding property of a finite group called CAS-subgroup. Using this subgroup property, we determine the structure of finite groups with some CAS-subgroups of Sylow subgroups. Our results unify and generalize some recent theorems on solvability, p-nilpotency and supersolvability of finite groups.
