A complex-envelope (CE) alternating-direction-implicit (ADI) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) approach to treat light-matter interaction self-consistently with electromagnetic field evolution for efficient simulations of active photonic devices is presented for the first time (to our best knowledge). The active medium (AM) is modeled using an efficient multilevel system of carrier rate equations to yield the correct carrier distributions, suitable for modeling semiconductor/solid-state media accurately. To include the AM in the CE-ADI-FDTD method, a first-order differential system involving CE fields in the AM is first set up. The system matrix that includes AM parameters is then split into two time-dependent submatrices that are then used in an efficient ADI splitting formula. The proposed CE-ADI-FDTD approach with AM takes 22% of the time as the approach of the corresponding explicit FDTD, as validated by semiconductor microdisk laser simulations.  相似文献

利用坐标系转换矩阵给出实验室坐标系中饱和磁化铁氧体的频域磁导系数张量,再通过频域到时域的转换关系jω→?/?t得到一个二阶微分方程形式的时域本构关系.然后采用Newmark方法求解时域本构关系从而给出一种适用于处理任意磁化方向铁氧体电磁问题的Newmark时域有限差分算法.利用此算法计算了饱和磁化铁氧体层的反(透)射系数和饱和磁化铁氧体球的后向雷达散射截面,所获得的结果验证了此算法的正确有效性.  相似文献

In this paper an efficient computational method based on extending the sensitivity approach(SA) is proposed to find an analytic exact solution of nonlinear differential difference equations.In this manner we avoid solving the nonlinear problem directly.By extension of sensitivity approach for differential difference equations(DDEs),the nonlinear original problem is transformed into infinite linear differential difference equations,which should be solved in a recursive manner.Then the exact solution is determined in the form of infinite terms series and by intercepting series an approximate solution is obtained.Numerical examples are employed to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the development of an efficient algorithm for the analytic solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equations. The proposed algorithm Laplace homotopy analysis method (LHAM) is a combined form of the Laplace transform method with the homotopy analysis method. The biggest advantage the LHAM has over the existing standard analytical techniques is that it overcomes the difficulty arising in calculating complicated terms. Moreover, the solution procedure is easier, more effective and straightforward. Numerical examples are examined to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

An efficient numerical method has been devised for the study of wave circulated by a magnetised ferrite sphere. It is a finite-difference time-domain formulation that incorporates Mur's absorbing boundary conditions and a perfectly matched layer. The electromagnetic fields inside the ferrite body are calculated using special updating equations derived from the equation of motion of the magnetization vector and Maxwell's curl equations in consistency. The electromagnetic fields inside ferrite and the power-density distribution on the ferrite's surface normal to the bias external magnetic field are obtained in a wide frequency band with a single time domain run. It is observed that an incident plane wave would circulate around the magnetised ferrite body in an open space as if the ferrite were placed inside a waveguide / microstrip junction circulators.  相似文献

Relations for fields with specified distributions of volume electric and magnetic currents are investigated. The dependence of the term outside the integral on the limit method for calculation of improper integrals is shown; an evaluation method is proposed. The relations are used to establish equivalence between integral equations with volume polarization currents and integrofunctional equations of the standard boundary-value problem of electrodynamic for an inhomogeneous ferrite body. It is shown that the solutions of both types of equations satisfy the boundary conditions. The practical use of integrofunctional equations in the form of systems of integral equations of the second kind and functional equations is discussed.Kazan' Aviation Institute. This paper presents an approximate but efficient field treatment of the new easy-to-fabricate ferrite sphere based H-plane waveguide circulator for potentially low-cost millimeter wave communication systems. A new three-dimension modeling strategy using a self-inconsistent mixed coordinates based mode matching technique is developed, i.e. the solutions of the Helmholz wave equations in the ferrite sphere and in the surrounding areas are deduced in the form of infinite summation of spherical, cylindrical and general Cartesian modes respectively. The point matching method is then used on the interface to numerically obtain the coefficients of different orders basis functions of the field. Therefore, the field distributions as well as the characteristics of the circulator are numerically calculated and the good agreement is observed between the numerical results and the measured data.  相似文献

将移位算子(shift operator,SO)-时域有限差分(fintie difference time domain,FDTD)方法推广到外磁场沿任意方向时磁化铁氧体的情形.从磁化铁氧体的相对磁导系数张量和各向异性情形下Maxwell旋度方程出发,推导出外磁场沿任意方向情形下磁化铁氧体电磁散射的SO-FDTD迭代公式.应用该方法计算了磁化铁氧体层、磁化铁氧体球及含磁化铁氧体涂层的Von Karman形雷达罩电磁散射,数值计算结果表明了该算法的正确有效性. 关键词: 磁化铁氧体 FDTD 移位算子法  相似文献

In this paper, a transfer matrix method (TMM) in frequency domain considering fluid-structure interaction of liquid-filled pipelines with elastic constraints is proposed. The time-domain equations considering fluid-structure interaction, are transformed into frequency domain by Laplace transformation, and then twelve fourth-order ordinary differential equations and two second-order ordinary differential equations are deduced from the frequency-domain equations. The results of the fourteen frequency-domain equations are assembled into a transfer matrix, which represents the motion of a single pipe section. Combined with point matrices that describe specified boundary conditions, an overall transfer matrix for liquid-filled pipeline system can be assembled. Using the method, all the pipeline with no and rigid constraints can be easily calculated by simply setting the stiffness of the restraining springs from zero to a large number. Taking into account the longitudinal vibration, transverse vibration and torsional vibration, the proposed method can be used to analyze the pipelines with bends. Several numerical examples with different constraints are presented here to illustrate the application of the proposed method. The results are validated by measured and simulation data. Through the numerical examples, it is shown that the proposed method is efficient.  相似文献

In this paper,the generalised two-dimensional differential transform method (DTM) of solving the time-fractional coupled KdV equations is proposed.The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense.The presented method is a numerical method based on the generalised Taylor series expansion which constructs an analytical solution in the form of a polynomial.An illustrative example shows that the generalised two-dimensional DTM is effective for the coupled equations.  相似文献

A rigorous, fast and efficient method is proposed for analytical extraction of guided defect modes in two-dimensional photonic crystals, where each Bloch spatial harmonic is expanded in terms of Hermite-Gauss functions. This expansion, after being substituted in Maxwell’s equations, is analytically projected in the Hilbert space spanned by the Hermite-Gauss basis functions, and then a new set of first order coupled linear ordinary differential equations with non-constant coefficients is obtained. This set of equations is solved by employing successive differential transfer matrices, whereupon defect modes, i.e. the guided modes propagating in the straight line-defect photonic crystal waveguides and coupled resonator optical waveguides, are analytically derived. In this fashion, the governing differential equations are converted into an algebraic and easy to solve matrix eigenvalue problem. Thanks to the analyticity of the proposed approach, the eigenmodes of these structures can be extracted very quickly. The validity of the obtained results is however justified by comparing them to those derived by using the standard finite-difference time-domain method.  相似文献

The purpose of the paper is to present analytical and numerical solutions of a degenerate parabolic equation with time-fractional derivatives arising in the spatial diffusion of biological populations. The homotopy-perturbation method is employed for solving this class of equations, and the time-fractional derivatives are described in the sense of Caputo. Comparisons are made with those derived by Adomian's decomposition method, revealing that the homotopy perturbation method is more accurate and convenient than the Adomian's decomposition method. Furthermore, the results reveal that the approximate solution continuously depends on the time-fractional derivative and the proposed method incorporating the Caputo derivatives is a powerful and efficient technique for solving the fractional differential equations without requiring linearization or restrictive assumptions. The basis ideas presented in the paper can be further applied to solve other similar fractional partial differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, an efficient numerical method is considered for solving space-time fractional wave equation. The fractional derivatives are described in the conformable sense. The method is based on shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind. Unknown function is written as Chebyshev series with the N term. The space-time fractional wave equation is reduced to a system of ordinary differential equations by using the properties of Chebyshev polynomials. The finite difference method is applied to solve this system of equations. Numerical results are provided to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approach.  相似文献

An efficient method is proposed for the self-consistent calculation of Landau levels of a quasi-two-dimensional hole gas at a GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure in a perpendicular magnetic field. The method is based on transforming the Schroedinger and Poisson equations to a system of nonlinear differential equations which are then spatially discretized and solved by the method of relaxation. The method proposed is used to model the optical spectra for recombination of the quasi-two-dimensional hole gas with electrons localized at a dlayer of donors in an isolated p-type heterojunction. In this paper, we propose an efficient spectral collocation algorithm to solve numerically wave type equations subject to initial, boundary and non-local conservation conditions. The shifted Jacobi pseudospectral approximation is investigated for the discretization of the spatial variable of such equations. It possesses spectral accuracy in the spatial variable. The shifted Jacobi-Gauss-Lobatto (SJ-GL) quadrature rule is established for treating the non-local conservation conditions, and then the problem with its initial and non-local boundary conditions are reduced to a system of second-order ordinary differential equations in temporal variable. This system is solved by two-stage forth-order A-stable implicit RK scheme. Five numerical examples with comparisons are given. The computational results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is more accurate than finite difference method, method of lines and spline collocation approach  相似文献

In recent years multigrid methods have been proven to be very efficient for solving large systems of linear equations resulting from the discretization of positive definite differential equations by either the finite difference method or theh-version of the finite element method. In this paper an iterative method of the multiple level type is proposed for solving systems of algebraic equations which arise from thep-version of the finite element analysis applied to indefinite problems. A two-levelV-cycle algorithm has been implemented and studied with a Gauss–Seidel iterative scheme used as a smoother. The convergence of the method has been investigated, and numerical results for a number of numerical examples are presented.  相似文献

This is the first paper on symmetry classification for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) based on Wu’s method. We carry out symmetry classification of two ODEs, named the generalizations of the Kummer-Schwarz equations which involving arbitrary function. First, Lie algorithm is used to give the determining equations of symmetry for the given equations, which involving arbitrary functions. Next, differential form Wu’s method is used to decompose determining equations into a union of a series of zero sets of differential characteristic sets, which are easy to be solved relatively. Each branch of the decomposition yields a class of symmetries and associated parameters. The algorithm makes the classification become direct and systematic. Yuri Dimitrov Bozhkov, and Pammela Ramos da Conceição have used the Lie algorithm to give the symmetry classifications of the equations talked in this paper in 2020. From this paper, we can find that the differential form Wu’s method for symmetry classification of ODEs with arbitrary function (parameter) is effective, and is an alternative method.  相似文献
