The magnetostriction constant of nickel was measured as a function of plastic deformation up to an elongation of 30%. The values of the magnetostriction constant in deformed samples deviate considerably, a fact which cannot be explained by errors of measurement. The absolute value of the magnetostriction constant decreases with increasing plastic deformation (by around 5%).

The irreducible bases of the icosahedral double groups I and Ih are explicitly presented in their respective group spaces. In a systematic study of the transfer process to sulphur dioxide, in seven different H2 + SO2 gas mixtures, the time spectra of the muonic sulphur X-rays yield muon transfer rates to the SO2 molecule, deduced from the lifetimes of the p atoms, which agree all well with each other. The muonic oxygen time spectra show an additional structure as if p atoms of another kind were present. Reduced transfer ratesO are reproducible if one uses the model of ephemeral p atoms. The intensity ratios between the different kinds of p atoms are also discussed in the framework of this model and the one of black and white p atoms.  相似文献

The paper deals with the determination of the frequency dependence of the acoustic resistance, of the structure factor, the porosity factor and the constant giving whether the process in the propagation of sound in porous materials with a rigid skeleton is isothermal, adiabatic or polytropic. The latter dependence enables a conclusion to be reached on the energy relations during sound propagation in porous materials.The derivation of the wave resistance and of the constant of wave propagation in a porous material with a rigid skeleton is given and a method described for calculating the constants characterizing the material on the basis of measurements of the wave resistance and the acoustic impedance of the material. The calculation was carried out for felt and it was found that the acoustic resistance and structure factor depends on the frequency and that the process at low frequencies approaches the isothermal and at high frequency the adiabatic. It is shown that the structure factor is not equal to unity even in order of magnitude, as is often assumed in the literature. It is shown that for a complete knowledge of the acoustic resistance necessary for the calculations it is not enough to determine it by the static method.

Zusammenfassung Es werden Ergebnisse beschrieben über die Temperaturabhängigkeit: der kritischen Schubspannung 0, des Verfestigungskoeffizienten A , im BereichA der Verfestigungskurve; des Verfestigungskoeffizienten B im BereichB, der Längea A des BereichsA und der Schubspannung A am Ende des BereichsA. Die kritische Schubspannung wächst im Temperaturbereich 225–344°K linear mit abnehmender Temperatur. Der Temperaturverlauf des Verfestigungskoeffizienten A , stimmt überein mit älteren Messungen an h.k.p. Metallen. Ähnlich verhält sich der Verfestigungskoeffizient B . Die Schubspannung am Ende des BereichsA wird durch thermisch aktivierte Vorgänge beeinflußt. Der BereichA verkürzt sich im Temperaturbereich 0–85°C linear mit zunehmender Temperatur. Temperaturwechselversuche zeigen, daß im BereichB thermisch irreversible Änderungen in der Versetzungsstruktur auftreten.

Particle creation by a black hole is described in terms of temperature corrections to the Casimir effect. The results of Levin, Polevoy, and Ritov for spectral and total Poynting vector for a fluctuating electromagnetic field in a plane vacuum gap between two arbitrary media with different temperatures in flat spacetime are applied to clarify the situation that exists between the horizon of a nonrotating black hole and spatial infinity. This helps to reveal the mechanism of particle creation. The Hawking radiation is born inside the bell formed by a potential barrier of a black hole in all the region [2M, ]. Its blackbody spectrum is due to the interaction of field fluctuations with the surface of the bell. The particles between the walls are virtual ones. They can become real after passing through the [3M, ] tail, appearing to an observer at future infinityJ + as real ones. The arguments for and against the present standpoint are discussed.  相似文献

It is shown that generic small data Robinson-Trautman space-times cannot beC 123 extended beyond the r=2m Schwarzschild-like event horizon. The rocking curves of Ge (111), (220), (333) for CuK 1 radiation were measured by means of the triple-crystal diffractometer. Perfect silicon single crystals, cut parallel to the (111) plane were used in the monochromator part of the triple-crystal diffractometer. The results prove the suitability of such a monochromator for studying diffraction patterns.

The Gelfand-Levitan equation for the kernelP(r, r) (withrr) is formulated and then applied for determining the scattering potential in the scattering of slow neutrons on protons (for the case when the dependence of the nuclear forces on the spins can be neglected and onlys-scattering need be considered). The potentials obtained are the same as the Bargmann ones, found by a different method.

This paper addresses the inefficiency loophole in the Bell theorem. We examine factorizable stochastic models for the Bell inequalities, where we allow the detection efficiency to depend both on the hidden state of the measured system and also its passage through an analyzer. We show that, nevertheless, if the efficiency functions are symmetric between the two wings of the experiment, one can dispense with supplementary assumptions and derive new inequalities that enable the models to be tested even for highly inefficient experiments.  相似文献

We show that ifb andb are two boundary conditions (b.c.) for general spin systems on d such that the difference in the energies of a spin configuration in d is uniformly bounded, |H ,b ()–H ,b()|C < , then any infinite-volume Gibbs states and obtained with these b.c. have the same measure-zero sets. This implies that the decompositions of and into extremal Gibbs states are equivalent (mutually absolutely continuous). In particular, if is extremal,=. The possibility of explaining the existence of a surface layer on BaTiO3 crystals by the presence of Schottky defects in the crystal is investigated. The magnitude of the potential difference between the surface and the interior of the crystal and the thickness of the surface layer, which at temperatures of over 400°C agrees with the measured values, are calculated for the cubic phase from a simplified ionic model.

A lepton octet is constructed by analogy with the baryon octet by the substitution p+N 1e+,+1 é+,-2-, - N 2-, where 1, 2,N 1,N 2 are arbitrary constants. The neutral components are replaced by a linear sum of the electron and muon neutrinos with arbitrary coefficients. The constants are determined from the system of general conditions (normalization, absence of crossed terms of the type ( etc.). As a result, the lepton octet is determined to within a single constant, and this is shown to be identical with the Cabibbo angle. Calculations are also made of the weak decays of baryons of the octet in the case of both charged and neutral currents. In the case of charged currents, the results agree with Cabibbo's theory. Calculations are also made of the lepton-lepton weak interactions and the ratios of the corresponding constants are determined. Hydrogen molecules are excited by two 193 nm-photons [X1 g + E,F1 g + ;Q02(1)] generated with a commerical oscillator-amplifier ArF laser. Stimulated emission is subsequently observed in the IR (=752.4 nm to 836.6 nm;E, FB) and in the VUV (=134.0 nm to 160.9 nm;BX) with a VUV conversion efficiency of 0.2%. The rotational fine-structure, the saturation behaviour, pump depletion as well as SRS-onset on and off two-photon resonance are investigated.  相似文献
