Zusammenfassung Isolierung von zwei weiteren, dem Laserpitin strukturell verwandten Stoffen aus der Wurzel des breiten Laserkrauts (Laserpitium latifolium L.) wurde beschrieben. Es sind Laserpitinol (5) und ein Monoester der Angelicasäure mit Laserol (4). Die Struktur des Laserpitinols sowie der bereits früher isolierten Naturstoffe Isolaserpitin (2) und Desoxodehydrolaserpitin (3) wurde auf Grund chemischer Korrelationen und mit Hilfe von NMR-Spektren aufgeklärt.

Isolation of two further compounds structurally related to laserpitine (1) from Laserpitium latifolium L. roots has been reported and that of laserpitinol (5) and monoangelic ester laserol (4). The structure of laserpitinol and previously reported isolaserpitine (2) and deoxodehydrolaserpitine (3) has been elucidated by chemical and physical methods, mainly by nuclear magnetic resonance.

Zusammenfassung Die katalytische Hydrierung von 14-Brom-codeinondimethylacetal (2a) liefert in erster Linie die drei dimeren Neopinon-acetale (bd6,7) und8, sowie Neopinon-dimethylacetal (3b), Dihydro-codeinon-dimethylacetal (9) und (7R)-7-Hydroxyneopinon-dimethylacetal (10). Die Ausbeuten an Dimeren nehmen bei Vergrößerung des Reaktionsvolumens ab. Bei einer besonderen Ausführung der Hydrierung ist9 in 87proz. Ausbeute zugänglich. Die Strukturen und die Konfiguration an C-7 von6,7,8 und3b werden bewiesen und einige Umwandlungsprodukte beschrieben.

The catalytic hydrogenation of 14-bromo-codeinone dimethyl acetal

The palladium-catalyzed hydrogenation of2a mainly leads to the new dimeric compounds6,7 and8, beside3b,9, and10. The yield of dimeric compounds is decreased by increasing the volume of the solvent. Under certain conditions9 in 87% yield is formed. The structures and the configuration on C-7 of3b,6,7, and8 are also derived.

The adduct obtained byStaudinger at –20° from ethoxycarbonyl ethyl ketene and benzylidene aniline has the open chain dipolar structure of 4-ethoxycarbonyl-1,2-diphenyl-2-azonia-1,3-hexadien-3-olate (3).

Mechanismus der Reaktion von polaren Olefinen mit Diazoalkanen zu stickstoffreien Verbindungen

Zusammenfassung Die eingehende kinetische Untersuchung der Reaktion von Isobutylidenmeldrumsäure (1) mit Diazoessigester (2) zu Cyclopropanen und ungesätt. Verbindungen beweist, daß diese Umsetzung nach einem zweistufigen Folgemechanismus abläuft. Im ersten und geschwindigkeitsbestimmenden Teilschritt entsteht nach einem Zeitgesetz zweiter Ordnung das thermisch labile1-Pyrazolin3, im schnelleren zweiten Teilschritt zerfällt das kurzlebige Zwischenprodukt nach einer Reaktion erster Ordnung in die stickstoffreien Endprodukte. Mit Hilfe der UV-Spektroskopie gelang es, den Konzentrationsverlauf des intermediären 1-Pyrazolins unmittelbar zu messen.

Mechanism of the reaction of polar olefines with diazoalkanes to nitrogen-free products

Detailed kinetic investigation shows that the reaction of isobutylideneMeldrum's acid (1) and ethyl diazoacetate (2) consists of two steps. The first step, which produces the thermally unstable 1-pyrazoline3 in a second order reaction, is rate-determining and followed by a rapid first order thermolysis of the short-lived intermediate3 to nitrogen free products. The change in concentration of the intermediate 1-pyrazoline was observed by UV-spectroscopy directly.

1-Chloromethylisatin—a new reagent for identifying carboxylic acids

1-Chlormethylisatin (2) reacts with salts of mono- resp. dicarboxylic acids in water—dimethylformamide easily to yield 1-isatinylmethyl- resp. di(1-isatinylmethyl)esters3 resp.4. 68 of these esters were synthesized and tabulated; they are a useful means for characterizing carboxylic acids.

Reaction of 14-bromo-codeinone dimethyl acetal (1) with methanol in presence of Na₂CO₃ yields 7-methoxy-neopinonedimethyl acetal (2 b) and 14-methoxy-codeinone dimethyl acetal (6 b). The structures of the new compounds are proved.

Zusammenfassung Es wird über die Darstellung neuer 2-Methyl-2,4-diaryl-3-imidazolin-thione-(5) berichtet. Sie entstehen bei Einwirkung von Ammoniak und Schwefel im Überschuß auf kernsubstituierte Acetophenonderivate bzw. acetylierte Heterocyclen in methanol. Lösung im Raumtemperaturbereich.

The preparation of new 2-methyl-2,4-diaryl-3-imidazolin-thions-(5) is reported. These compounds are formed when ammonia und sulphur in excess react with nucleus substituted acetophenone derivatives or with acetylated heterocycles in methyl alcohol solution of room temperature.

The methanolysis of 14-bromo-codeinone dimethyl acetal

14-Bromocodeinone dimethyl acetal (1) reacts in methanol containing sodium carbonate (0.5 moles) to give the three isomeric methoxycodeinone acetals3, 4, and5 besides the indolino-codeinones6 and7. The structures and configurations of3–6 were established on the basis of NMR- and IR-spectroscopy and by conversion to known compounds.

Lichtreaktionen mit Carbonsäurederivaten, 6. Mitt.: Über die Isolierung von Aroyl-Radikalen nach Photolyse von Aroylbromiden und Benzaldehyd in der Gasphase

Zusammenfassung Bei der Photolyse von Benzoylbromid im Gaszustand wurde das orange-rote Benzoyl-Radikal ausgefroren, das bei 70° K beständig ist. Methoxylgruppe und Chloratom in p-Stellung wirken nicht stabilisierend. Farbe, ESR-Spektrum und Thermostabilität sind identisch mit denen des Benzoyl-Radikals aus der Bestrahlung des Benzaldehyds. Nach der Rekombination des Benzoyl-Radikals wurden Benzil und Benzophenon identifiziert.

In the photolysis of gaseous benzoyl bromide, the orange-red benzoyl radical, which is stable at 70° Kelvin, was frozen out. Stability is not enhanced by a methoxyl group or chlorine atom in the para position. Color, ESR spectra and thermal stability were indentical with that of the benzoyl radical from the photolysis of benzaldehyde. Benzil and benzophenone were identified after recombination of the benzoyl radical.

Zusammenfassung Die Acylierung von 2-Amino-3.3-diphenyl-5-methyl-1-pyrrolin (1) und 2-Amino-3.3-diphenyl-1-pyrrolin (2) erfolgt in den hier untersuchten Fällen am N-2-(exo)-Stickstoff. Die Umsetzung der cyclischen Amidine1 und2 mit BrCN gibt jedoch neben den N-2-(exo)-auch die N-1-(endo)-Cyanamidine. Diese werden in die entsprechenden Carbamoyl- und Thiocarbamoylamidine umgewandelt.

Acylderivatives of 2-amino-1-pyrrolines

Acylations of 2-amino-3.3-diphenyl-5-methyl-1-pyrroline (1) and 2-amino-3.3-diphenyl-1-pyrroline (2) occur at the N-2-(exo)-nitrogen. However, reaction of1 and2 with BrCN yields not only the N-2-(exo)-cyanoamidines but also the N-1-(endo)-isomers. Either is converted into the corresponding carbamoyl and thiocarbamoyl amidines.

Über die Nitrierung substituierter Indenone, 6. Mitt.: Struktur der Zwischenprodukte

Zusammenfassung Die IR- und NMR-spektroskopische Untersuchung und die N-Bestimmung der mit rauch. HNO₃ und Stickoxiden entstandenen unbeständigen, farblosen intermediären Nitrierungsprodukte der 2,3-disubstituierten Indenone lassen sie als 2,3-Dinitro-2,3-disubstituierte Hydrindenone (7 und8) erkennen.

Nitration of substituted indenones, VI: Structure of the intermediate products

The IR- and NMR-spectral investigations and the N-analyses of the unstable colourless intermediate products obtained by treatment of 2,3-disubstituted indenones with fuming nitric acid and nitric oxides showed that they are 2,3-dinitro-2,3-disubstituted hydrindenones (7 and8).
