In Iliadis (2005) [13] for an ordinal α the notion of the so-called (bn-Ind?α)-dimensional normal base C for the closed subsets of a space X was introduced. This notion is defined similarly to the classical large inductive dimension Ind. In this case we shall write here I(X,C)?α and say that the base dimension I of the space X by the normal base C is less than or equal to α. The classical large inductive dimension Ind of a normal space X, the large inductive dimension Ind0 of a Tychonoff space X defined independently by Charalambous and Filippov, as well as, the relative inductive dimension defined by Chigogidze for a subspace X of a Tychonoff space Y may be considered as the base dimension I of X by normal bases Z(X) (all closed subsets of X), Z(X) (all functionally closed subsets of X), and , respectively. In the present paper, we shall consider normal bases of spaces consisting of functionally closed subsets. In particular, we introduce new dimension invariant : for a space X, is the minimal element α of the class O∪{−1,∞}, where O is the class of all ordinals, for which there exists a normal base C on X consisting of functionally closed subsets such that I(X,C)?α. We prove that in the class of all completely regular spaces X of weight less than or equal to a given infinite cardinal τ such that there exist universal spaces. However, the following questions are open.(1) Are there universal elements in the class of all normal (respectively, of all compact) spaces X of weight ?τ with ?(2) Are there universal elements in the class of all Tychonoff (respectively, of all normal) spaces X of weight ?τ with Ind0(X)?nω? (Note that for a compact space X.)  相似文献

We study the boundary value problem in Ω, u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in RN (N?3) and is a p(x)-Laplace type operator with p(.):Ω→[1,+∞) a measurable function and b a continuous and nondecreasing function from RR. We prove the existence and uniqueness of an entropy solution for L1-data f.  相似文献

It is proved that the Hörmander and spaces (Ω1Rn, Ω2Rm open sets, 1?p<∞, ki Beurling-Björck weights, k=k1k2) are isomorphic whereas the iterated spaces and are not if 1<pq<∞. A similar result for weighted Lp-spaces of entire analytic functions is also obtained. Finally a result on iterated Besov spaces is given: and are not isomorphic when 1<q≠2<∞.  相似文献

Barros-Neto and Gelfand (Duke Math. J. 98 (3) (1999) 465; Duke Math. J. 117 (2) (2003) 561) constructed for the Tricomi operator on the plane the fundamental solutions with the supports in the regions related to the geometry of the characteristics of the Tricomi operator. We give for the Tricomi-type operator a fundamental solution relative to an arbitrary point of Rn+1 with the support in the region t?0, where the operator is hyperbolic. Our key observation is that the fundamental solution for the Tricomi-type operator can be written like an integral of the distributions generated by the fundamental solution of the Cauchy problem for the wave equation. The application of that fundamental solution to the Lp-Lq estimate for the forced Tricomi-type equation is given as well.  相似文献

Lim's theorems for multivalued mappings in CAT(0) spaces   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let X be a complete CAT(0) space. We prove that, if E is a nonempty bounded closed convex subset of X and a nonexpansive mapping satisfying the weakly inward condition, i.e., there exists pE such that ∀xE, ∀α∈[0,1], then T has a fixed point. In Banach spaces, this is a result of Lim [On asymptotic centers and fixed points of nonexpansive mappings, Canad. J. Math. 32 (1980) 421-430]. The related result for unbounded R-trees is given.  相似文献

We establish here some inequalities between distances of pointwise bounded subsets H of RX to the space of real-valued continuous functions C(X) that allow us to examine the quantitative difference between (pointwise) countable compactness and compactness of H relative to C(X). We prove, amongst other things, that if X is a countably K-determined space the worst distance of the pointwise closure of H to C(X) is at most 5 times the worst distance of the sets of cluster points of sequences in H to C(X): here distance refers to the metric of uniform convergence in RX. We study the quantitative behavior of sequences in H approximating points in . As a particular case we obtain the results known about angelicity for these Cp(X) spaces obtained by Orihuela. We indeed prove our results for spaces C(X,Z) (hence for Banach-valued functions) and we give examples that show when our estimates are sharp.  相似文献

We investigate a limiting uniqueness criterion to the Navier-Stokes equations. We prove that the mild solution is unique under the class , where bmo-1 is the “critical” space including Ln. As an application of uniqueness theorem, we also consider the local well-posedness of Navier-Stokes equations in bmo-1.  相似文献

In this paper, by using the atomic decomposition and molecular characterization of the homogeneous and non-homogeneous weighted Herz-type Hardy spaces , we obtain some weighted boundedness properties of the Bochner-Riesz operator and the maximal Bochner-Riesz operator on these spaces for α=n(1/p−1/q), 0<p?1 and 1<q<∞.  相似文献

Let Ω be a measurable subset of a compact group G of positive Haar measure. Let be a non-negative function defined on the dual space and let L2(μ) be the corresponding Hilbert space which consists of elements (ξπ)π∈suppμ satisfying , where ξπ is a linear operator on the representation space of π, and is equipped with the inner product: . We show that the Fourier transform gives an isometric isomorphism from L2(Ω) onto L2(μ) if and only if the restrictions to Ω of all matrix coordinate functions , π∈suppμ, constitute an orthonormal basis for L2(Ω). Finally compact connected Lie groups case is studied.  相似文献

For an integer n and a prime p, let . In this paper, we present a construction for vertex-transitive self-complementary k-uniform hypergraphs of order n for each integer n such that for every prime p, where ?=max{k(2),(k−1)(2)}, and consequently we prove that the necessary conditions on the order of vertex-transitive self-complementary uniform hypergraphs of rank k=2? or k=2?+1 due to Potoňick and Šajna are sufficient. In addition, we use Burnside’s characterization of transitive groups of prime degree to characterize the structure of vertex-transitive self-complementary k-hypergraphs which have prime order p in the case where k=2? or k=2?+1 and , and we present an algorithm to generate all of these structures. We obtain a bound on the number of distinct vertex-transitive self-complementary graphs of prime order , up to isomorphism.  相似文献

Let −L be the Laplacian. In this paper, we prove that on a compact Lie group G of dimension n, the multiplier operator , s∈(0,1], extends to a bounded operator on the Hardy space Hp(G), 0<p<∞, if and only if . The result is an analogue of a well-known theorem in Euclidean space.  相似文献

A graph X, with a subgroup G of the automorphism group of X, is said to be (G,s)-transitive, for some s≥1, if G is transitive on s-arcs but not on (s+1)-arcs, and s-transitive if it is -transitive. Let X be a connected (G,s)-transitive graph, and Gv the stabilizer of a vertex vV(X) in G. If X has valency 5 and Gv is solvable, Weiss [R.M. Weiss, An application of p-factorization methods to symmetric graphs, Math. Proc. Camb. Phil. Soc. 85 (1979) 43-48] proved that s≤3, and in this paper we prove that Gv is isomorphic to the cyclic group Z5, the dihedral group D10 or the dihedral group D20 for s=1, the Frobenius group F20 or F20×Z2 for s=2, or F20×Z4 for s=3. Furthermore, it is shown that for a connected 1-transitive Cayley graph of valency 5 on a non-abelian simple group G, the automorphism group of is the semidirect product , where R(G) is the right regular representation of G and .  相似文献

We prove that an analytic function f on the unit ball B with Hadamard gaps, that is, (the homogeneous polynomial expansion of f) satisfying nk+1/nk?λ>1 for all kN, belongs to the space if and only if . Moreover, we show that the following asymptotic relation holds . Also we prove that limr→1(1-r2)αRfrp=0 if and only if . These results confirm two conjectures from the following recent paper [S. Stevi?, On Bloch-type functions with Hadamard gaps, Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2007 (2007) 8 pages (Article ID 39176)].  相似文献

Let w be a Muckenhoupt weight and be the weighted Hardy spaces. We use the atomic decomposition of and their molecular characters to show that the Bochner-Riesz means are bounded on for 0<p?1 and δ>max{n/p−(n+1)/2,[n/p]rw−1(rw−1)−(n+1)/2}, where rw is the critical index of w for the reverse Hölder condition. We also prove the boundedness of the maximal Bochner-Riesz means for 0<p?1 and δ>n/p−(n+1)/2.  相似文献

For the sets , 1?p<∞, of positive finite Borel measures μ on the real axis with the set of algebraic polynomials P dense in Lp(R,dμ), we establish a majorization principle of their “boundaries,” i.e. for every there exists such that dμ/dν?1. A corresponding principle holds for the sets , p>0, of non-negative upper semi-continuous on R functions (weights) w such that P is dense in the space : For every there exists such that w?ω.  相似文献

The notion of simple compact quantum group is introduced. Let m(n,k,r,t) be the maximum size of satisfying |F1∩?∩Fr|≥t for all F1,…,FrF. We prove that for every p∈(0,1) there is some r0 such that, for all r>r0 and all t with 1≤t≤⌊(p1−rp)/(1−p)⌋−r, there exists n0 so that if n>n0 and p=k/n, then . The upper bound for t is tight for fixed p and r.  相似文献
