Security inks based on photoluminescent materials are mostly investigated for security applications, such as information encryption and decryption, anti-counterfeiting, and data storage. Although they are invisible to the naked eye under ambient light, they can be detected under ultraviolet or near-infrared light. Herein, a new kind of secret paper made from network-structured ultralong hydroxyapatite nanowires and cellulose fibers has been developed. White vinegar, a common cooking ingredient, is used as an invisible security ink. Covert information on the secret paper written with white vinegar is totally invisible under natural light, but it can be decrypted and clearly read after exposure to fire; the response time to fire is short (<10 s). The ways of writing on the secret paper are diverse by using various pens loaded with white vinegar.  相似文献

Ion-pairing high performance liquid chromatography (IP-HPLC) was utilized to monitor the composition changes of blue gel pen ink entries on paper stored in different light conditions and natural environment. The chromatographic conditions were optimized by comparing the separation efficiencies of the blue gel pen inks using a series of ion-pairing reagents, including ammonium carbonate, ammonium acetate, triethylamine acetate, tributylamine acetate, tetrabutylammonium bromide and dihexylammonium acetate. It has been found that tributylamine acetate was a suitable ion-pairing reagent for separation of the inks on the common C18 column. The analysis results of the ink entries on paper in different aging conditions showed that the tendency of composition change in natural aging condition was similar with those in fluorescent light and UV light conditions, respectively. One main component dye of the blue gel pen ink, Acid Blue 9, and its degradation products were identified by ion-pairing high performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. The results showed that the main degradation products originated from the Acid Blue 9. It gave a reasonable explanation for the changing rules of the relative content of the dyes in the blue gel pen ink. The results obtained can provide scientific evidences for dating of the blue gel pen ink entries on documents.  相似文献

Stimuli‐responsive photoluminescent materials have attracted considerable attention owing to their potential applications in security protection because the information recorded directly in materials with static luminescent outputs are usually visible under either ambient or UV light. Herein, we realize reversible information anticounterfeiting by loading a photoswitchable diarylethene derivative into a lanthanide metal–organic framework (MOF). Light triggers the open‐ and closed‐form isomerization of the diarylethene unit, which respectively regulates the inactivation and activation of the photochromic FRET process between the diarylethene acceptor and lanthanide donor, resulting in reversible luminescence on–off switching of the lanthanide emitting center in the MOF host. This photoresponsive host–guest system allows for reversible multiple information pattern visible/invisible transformation by simply alternating the exposure to UV and visible light.  相似文献

Counterfeiting is an ever-growing global problem challenging companies, governments, and customers. In recent decades, as a potential remedy, anticounterfeiting technology and information security have gained a great deal of attention from academia and industry. In this work and for the first time, Rhodamine B (RhB), an efficient and enticing fluorescent material, was modified and used as a reactive stimuli-responsive component in the formulation of an eco-friendly ink. Additionally, a UV-curable polyurethane dispersion (UCPUD) with zero volatile organic compound was synthesized and employed as the matrix for the fluorescent ink. The modified RhB and UCPUD were thoroughly characterized using Fourier-transform infrared and proton nuclear magnetic resonance analyses. Exploiting the fluorescent monomer in the ink formulations could enhance the absorption intensity (λmax = 552 nm) of the prepared ink up to 7 with respect to its solution (λmax = 519 nm). The printed pattern was immediately illuminated with brilliant red-pink fluorescence emission upon UV irradiation. It has been shown that the prepared fluorescent ink has potential applications in the encryption, security marking, and optical authentication of confidential cellulose substrates.  相似文献

Herein, we report an approach to combat counterfeiting and storage of valuable information based on the solid‐state fluorescence switching behavior of isoniazid functionalized naphthalene diimide (ISO_NDI) in response to an external stimuli (i. e., HCl vapor). The unique feature of ISO_NDI is further utilized to develop an invisible ink (ISO_NDI‐PVA) with commercial polymer polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). A solid‐state fluorescence recovery was observed while loading with HCl vapors. This exclusive property of the material could be applied directly as a security ink for confidential data storage purpose. Based on above strategy, we successfully realized the rewritable application by using ISO_NDI‐PVA ink and confirm its practical efficacy on various substrates by creating different patterns. The solid‐state fluorescence switching behavior of ISO_NDI‐PVA ink exhibited reversible on/off signal for multiple cycles under the influence of HCl/NH3 vapors. Mechanistic investigation supports a clear participation of intermolecular charge transfer (ICT) phenomenon in the solid‐state fluorescence switching property. The ease of fabricating the ink with invisible to visible characteristics in response to HCl vapors provides new opportunities for exploring the application of ISO_NDI‐PVA as invisible ink for targeted security applications.  相似文献

The diblock copolymers of polystyrene and poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) (PSt‐b‐PtBA) with various molecular weights and hydrophobic/hydrophilic (styrene/acrylic acid) chain length were prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). Selective hydrolysis of the diblock copolymers (PSt‐b‐PtBA) resulted in amphiphilic block copolymers of polystyrene and poly(acrylic acid) (PSt‐b‐PAA). The amphiphilic block copolymers of PSt‐b‐PAA with average molecular weight (Mn) <7500 were proved to be critical in dispersing the pigments of UV curable ink‐jet inks for manufacturing the color filter. Incorporating DB2 diblock copolymer dispersants with styrene/acrylic acid ratio at 1.5 allowed more UV curable compositions in the red and blue inks without deteriorating pigment dispersing stability and jetting properties of the ink‐jet inks. The ink drops can be precisely ejected into the tiny color area. Better properties of the cured red stripe such as nanoindentation hardness and chemical resistance were found. The competing absorption of UV light by the blue pigment hindered the through cure of monomers near the interface between glass substrate and the blue stripe. This leads to lower hardness and poor chemical resistance of the UV cured blue stripe. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part B: Polym Phys 43: 3337–3353, 2005  相似文献

Information security has gained increasing attention in the past decade, leading to the development of advanced materials for anti-counterfeiting, encryption and instantaneous information display. However, it remains challenging to achieve high information security with simple encryption procedures and low-energy stimuli. Herein, a series of strain/temperature-responsive liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) are developed to achieve dual-modal, multi-level information encryption and real-time, rewritable transient information display. The as-prepared polydomain LCEs can change from an opaque state to a transparent state under strain or temperature stimuli, with the transition strains or temperatures highly dependent on the concentration of long-chain flexible spacers. Information encrypted by different LCE inks can be decrypted under specific strains or temperatures, leading to multi-level protection of information security. Furthermore, with the combination of the phase transition of polydomain LCEs and the photothermal effect of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), we achieved a repeatable transient information display by using near-infrared (NIR) light as a pen for writing. This study provides new insight into the development of advanced encryption materials with versatility and high security for broad applications.  相似文献

A novel approach for classification and dating of the black gel pen ink entries on document was developed based on ion-pairing high-performance liquid chromatography (IP-HPLC). Ninety-three black gel pens were collected and divided into two groups, dye-based and pigment-based, by preliminary solubility test. The chromatographic conditions for separation of the dye-based black gel pen inks were optimized and the dye components in inks were satisfactorily separated by using 40 mmol/L tetrabutylammonium bromide as ion-pairing reagent. According to the number and the chromatographic retention times of the main dye components, the 50 dye-based inks were categorized into four classes. The inks within a class can be further identified by the percentage of each dye component. The compositional changes of the dye components in the black gel pen ink entries on paper were investigated in light and natural aging conditions and it has been found that the dye components in the ink entries underwent obvious decomposition, and the decomposing extent of the dye components was related to the aging time. The results can provide scientific evidences for dating of the suspicious black gel pen ink entries on documents.  相似文献

For all‐solution‐processed (ASP) devices, transparent conducting oxide (TCO) nanocrystal (NC) inks are anticipated as the next‐generation electrodes to replace both those synthesized by sputtering techniques and those consisting of rare metals, but a universal and one‐pot method to prepare these inks is still lacking. A universal one‐pot strategy is now described; through simply heating a mixture of metal–organic precursors a wide range of TCO NC inks, which can be assembled into high‐performance electrodes for use in ASP optoelectronics, were synthesized. This method can be used for various oxide NC inks with yields as high as 10 g. The formed NCs are of high crystallinity, uniform morphology, monodispersity, and high ink stability and feature effective doping. Therefore, the inks can be readily assembled into films with a surface roughness of 1.6 nm. Typically, a sheet resistance of 110 Ω sq?1 can be achieved with a transmittance of 88 %, which is the best performance for TCO NC ink‐based electrodes described to date. These electrodes can thus drive a polymer light‐emitting diode (PLED) with a luminance of 2200 cd m?2 at 100 mA cm?2.  相似文献

Phosphorescent materials from small organic molecules at ambient conditions are very useful as they possess major applicability in diverse fields including light emitting diodes, security and data encryption/decryption, sensing, bioimaging and biomedical sciences. 3,5′-diiodo-2,2′-bithiophene-5-carboxaldehyde exhibited solid state room temperature phosphorescence which was triggered by halogen bond. X-ray crystallography revealed the existence of intermolecular C–I⋯O type halogen bonding interaction. Notably, the compound, 3,5′-diiodo-2,2′-bithiophene-5-carboxaldehyde, did not show phosphorescence in solution state and upon doping in polymer matrix.  相似文献

Photochromic inks for repeatable light‐printed media have attracted increasing attention owing to the fact that they may be widely applied to reduce the consumption of papers and plastics and conserve the environment. Therefore, it is of practical significance to develop convenient photochromic inks with a low cost and on a large scale. In this study, a simple one‐step hydrothermal route was used to prepare tungsten trioxide (WO3) nanoparticles, which were further used to make photochromic inks and transparent photochromic films. The obtained transparent photochromic film could rapidly respond to UV light within tens of seconds, then return to its initial state, with different recovery times at different temperatures, and also exhibit good reversible coloration–bleaching effect. A typical polyethylene terephthalate (PET) foil coated with the photochromic ink could also be repeatedly printed with various patterns and displayed excellent rewritable performance over tens of cycles. This study proposes a simple method for widespread applications of WO3‐based photochromic inks.  相似文献

Fluorescent photochromism has been applied as an attractive approach for the production of effective authentication substrates to show dual-mode secure encoding. In the current study, novel photochromic and fluorescent nanocomposite ink was developed to introduce a stamped film with strong dual-mode emission for anti-counterfeiting purposes. Inorganic/organic nanocomposite ink was developed from lanthanide-doped aluminate (LDA) dispersed in poly(acrylic acid)-based binder. To produce a transparent film, LDA must be dispersed well in the poly(acrylic acid)-based ink solution. The fluorescent and photochromic nanocomposite ink was stamped effectively onto cellulose documents followed with thermal fixation. Homogeneous fluorescent and photochromic layer was stamped onto paper surface providing a transparent look with the ability to switch to green beneath ultraviolet as illustrated by CIE Lab. The stamped documents were studied by photoluminescence spectra to show an absorption peak at 364 nm, and fluorescence band at 438 nm. The induced security encoding was transparent beneath visible light turning into visible greenish-yellow beneath ultraviolet light indicating a bathochromic shift. LDA was synthesized in the nanoparticle form and characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The morphological properties of the stamped documents were examined by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scan electron microscope (SEM), EDS, and X-ray fluorescence (XRF). The stamped paper sheets displayed an efficiently reversible photochromism without fatigue under visible and ultraviolet lights. The rheologies of the prepared photoluminescent nanocomposite inks as well as the mechanical performance of the stamped sheets were investigated.  相似文献

In this work, a unique approach is developed to generate photoswitchable and water‐soluble fluorescent nano‐aggregates. Initially, a new light‐controlled diarylethene–dansyl dyad DAE 1 is formed by linking two dansyl fluorophores covalently to a symmetrical dithienylethene backbone, whose photophysical properties can be reversibly switched by optical stimuli. Subsequently, the water insolubility of the molecular switch 1 is overcome by incorporating it into the bilayer of liposome DPPC (1,2‐dihexadecanoyl‐sn ‐glycero‐3‐phosphocholine) in water. This strategy creates stable fluorescent nano‐aggregates OF‐1@DPPC (≈25 nm diameter) that are soluble in an aqueous medium. The nano‐aggregates OF‐1@DPPC retain and even improve the photoswitchable fluorescence properties of DAE 1 . More importantly, OF‐1@DPPC exhibits a remarkable photostability and fatigue resistance after 5 cycles of irradiation with UV and visible light, which is crucial for its practical application.  相似文献

Summary: Two types of ink‐jet inks are presented: ink containing an aqueous dispersion of silver nanoparticles and an oil‐in‐water microemulsion‐based ink. The metallic ink contains nanoparticles of silver, which are formed in the presence of an ionic polymeric stabilizer. Sintering of the printed image obtained with the use of such silver‐based inks at temperatures as low as 300 °C results in formation of patterns possessing noticeable conductivity. The microemulsion inks are based on a thermodynamically stable microemulsion, in which the dispersed oil phase is a volatile solvent containing a water‐insoluble colorant. After contact of the jetted ink droplets with a substrate, nanodroplets of the microemulsion are converted into nanoparticles of the solubilized colorant. In some cases, it was found that the evaporation of microemulsion ink droplets leads to formation of rings composed of ordered nanoparticles.

Scheme of ink‐jet printing of an oil‐in‐water microemulsion followed by conversion of the nanodroplets into nanoparticles, caused by quick evaporation of the solvent within the microemulsion droplets. Therefore, the ink behaves as a dye‐based ink prior to printing, but after printing it behaves like a pigment‐based ink.  相似文献

Efficient cleaving of DNA oligonucleotides by a water‐soluble fullerene main‐chain polymer is demonstrated following a facile routine of monitoring the reaction by UV‐vis spectroscopy and separating the cleaved fractions by membrane filtration. A small quantity of the fullerene derivative could cleave a large excess of the oligonucleotide under ambient light conditions, leading to cleaved DNA in quantitative yields.  相似文献

Fingerprint fluorescence imaging has become one of the most prominent technologies in the field of forensic medicine, but it seldom considers the security protection of detection information, which is of great importance in modern society. Herein we demonstrate that luminescent TbIII–carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) complex binding aptamer hydrogels that are reversibly responsive to ClO?/SCN? can be used for the selective detection, protection, and storage of fingerprint information. The imaging information of the fingerprint can be quenched and recovered by ClO?/SCN? regulation, respectively, resulting in reversible on/off conversion of the luminescence signals for the encryption and decryption of multiple levels of information. The present study opens new avenues for multilevel imaging, data recording, and security protection of fingerprint information with tunable fluorescent hydrogels.  相似文献

Smart fluorescent materials that can respond to environmental stimuli are of great importance in the fields of information encryption and anti-counterfeiting. However, traditional fluorescent materials usually face problems such as lack of tunable fluorescence and insufficient surface-adaptive adhesion, hindering their practical applications. Herein, inspired by the glowing sucker octopus, we present a novel strategy to fabricate a reversible fluorescent eutectogel with high transparency, adhesive and self-healing performance for conformal information encryption and anti-counterfeiting. Using anthracene as luminescent unit, the eutectogel exhibits photoswitchable fluorescence and can therefore be reversibly written/erased with patterns by non-contact stimulation. Additionally, different from mechanically irreversible adhesion via glue, the eutectogel can adhere to various irregular substrates over a wide temperature range (−20 to 65 °C) and conformally deform more than 1000 times without peeling off. Furthermore, by exploiting surface-adaptive adhesion, high transparency and good stretchability of the eutectogel, dual encryption can be achieved under UV and stretching conditions to further improve the security level. This study should provide a promising strategy for the future development of advanced intelligent anti-counterfeiting materials.  相似文献

The concept of using cantilever‐free scanning probe arrays as structures that can modulate nanoscale ink flow and composition with light is introduced and evaluated. By utilizing polymer pen arrays with an opaque gold layer surrounding the base of the transparent polymer pyramids, we show that inks with photopolymerizable or isomerizable constituents can be used in conjunction with light channelled through the pyramids to control ink viscosity or composition in a dynamic manner. This on‐tip photo‐modulated molecular printing provides novel chemically and mechanically controlled approaches to regulating ink transport and composition in real time and could be useful not only for rapidly adjusting feature size but also for studying processes including photoreactions and mass transport at the nanoscale, self‐assembly, and cell–material interactions.  相似文献

Since the discovery of aggregation induced emission (AIE) phenomenon, various stimuli-responsive materials have been rapidly developed, but there are still great challenges in the application of ink printing due to the bad water solubility. In this research, a new cationic amphiphilic TPE-functionalized pyridine salt (TPE-OTs) was designed, which shows good water solubility and hydrochromic properties. The optical properties of the compound have been studied, which is equipped with the typical AIEE characteristics and TICT effect. The compound can self-assemble to form aggregates with a particle size of about 30 nm in water. What is more, the compound is responsive to the environmental humidity, whose fluorescent color changes from green to yellow as the humidity gradually increased. Based on this characteristic, we applied it to the fluorescent anti-counterfeiting ink, realizing the protection and encryption of information.  相似文献
