This paper concerns the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions for elliptic and parabolic equations under nonlocal boundary conditions, based on maximal regularity. It also gives the positivity of solutions which can be used in monotone iteration methods. As an application, the results are used to discuss some specific nonlocal problems.  相似文献

We obtain estimates on the continuous dependence on the coefficient for second-order non-linear degenerate Neumann type boundary value problems. Our results extend previous work of Cockburn et al., Jakobsen and Karlsen, and Gripenberg to problems with more general boundary conditions and domains. A new feature here is that we account for the dependence on the boundary conditions. As one application of our continuous dependence results, we derive for the first time the rate of convergence for the vanishing viscosity method for such problems. We also derive new explicit continuous dependence on the coefficients results for problems involving Bellman-Isaacs equations and certain quasilinear equation.  相似文献

We prove the existence of classical solutions of elliptic equations of Monge-Ampère type subject to a semilinear oblique boundary condition which is a perturbation of the Neumann boundary condition. Our techniques also allow us to treat fully nonlinear strictly oblique boundary conditions satisfying a concavity condition. Let r,s∈]1,2[r,s]1,2[ and λ,μ∈]0,+∞[λ,μ]0,+[. In this paper, we deal with the existence and multiplicity of nonnegative and nonzero solutions of the Dirichlet problem with 00 boundary data for the semilinear elliptic equation −Δu=λus−1−ur−1Δu=λus1ur1 in Ω⊂RNΩRN, where N≥2N2. We prove that there exists a positive constant ΛΛ such that the above problem has at least two solutions, at least one solution or no solution according to whether λ>Λλ>Λ, λ=Λλ=Λ or λ<Λλ<Λ. In particular, a result by Hernandéz, Macebo and Vega is improved and, for the semilinear case, a result by Díaz and Hernandéz is partially extended to higher dimensions. Finally, an answer to a conjecture, recently stated by the author, is also given.  相似文献

Boundary value problems for (pseudo-) differential operators on a manifold with edges can be characterised by a hierarchy of symbols. The symbolic structure is responsible for ellipticity and for the nature of parametrices within an algebra of “edge-degenerate” pseudo-differential operators. The edge symbolic component of that hierarchy takes values in boundary value problems on an infinite model cone, with edge variables and covariables as parameters. Edge symbols play a crucial role in this theory, in particular, the contribution with holomorphic operator-valued Mellin symbols. We establish a calculus in a framework of “twisted homogeneity” that refers to strongly continuous groups of isomorphisms on weighted cone Sobolev spaces. We then derive an equivalent representation with a particularly transparent composition behaviour.  相似文献

We study compactness properties for solutions of a semilinear elliptic equation with critical nonlinearity. For high dimensions, we are able to show that any solutions sequence with uniformly bounded energy is uniformly bounded in the interior of the domain. In particular, singularly perturbed Neumann equations admit pointwise concentration phenomena only at the boundary.  相似文献

We construct positive solutions of the semilinear elliptic problem with Dirichet boundary conditions, in a bounded smooth domain ΩRN(N?4), when the exponent p is supercritical and close enough to and the parameter λR is small enough. As , the solutions have multiple blow up at finitely many points which are the critical points of a function whose definition involves Green's function. Our result extends the result of Del Pino et al. (J. Differential Equations 193(2) (2003) 280) when Ω is a ball and the solutions are radially symmetric.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a Laguerre spectral method for solving Neumann boundary value problems. This approach differs from the classical spectral method in that the homogeneous boundary condition is satisfied exactly. Moreover, a tridiagonal matrix is employed, instead of the full stiffness matrix encountered in the classical variational formulation of such problems. For analyzing the numerical errors, some basic results on Laguerre approximations are established. The convergence is proved. The numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of this approach.  相似文献
