We study moduli of “self-associated” sets of points in P n for small n. In particular, we show that for n = 5 a general such set arises as a hyperplane section of the Lagrangian Grassmanian LG(5,10) ? P 15. For n = 6, a general such set arises as a hyperplane section of the Grassmanian G(2,6) ? P 14. We also make a conjecture for the next case n = 7. Our results are analogues of Mukai's characterization of general canonically embedded curves in P 6 and P 7, respectively.  相似文献

We show that if A is a representation-finite selfinjective Artin algebra, then every P ? ? K b(𝒫 A ) with Hom K(Mod?A)(P ?,P ?[i]) = 0 for i ≠ 0 and add(P ?) = add(νP ?) is a direct summand of a tilting complex, and that if A, B are derived equivalent representation-finite selfinjective Artin algebras, then there exists a sequence of selfinjective Artin algebras A = B 0, B 1,…, B m  = B such that, for any 0 ≤ i < m, B i+1 is the endomorphism algebra of a tilting complex for B i of length ≤ 1.  相似文献

Abstract

Let L be a line bundle on a smooth curve C, which defines a birational morphism onto Φ(C) ? P r . We prove that, under suitable assumptions on L, which are satisfied by Castelnuovo's curves, a generic section in H 0(C, L 2) can be written as α2 + β2 + γ2, with α, β, γ ∈ H 0(C, L). If there are no quadrics of rank 3 containing Φ(C), this is true for any section. For canonical curves, this gives a non linear version of Noether's Theorem.  相似文献

Let {f=0} be a hypersurface inC n+1 with a 1-dimensional singular set Σ. We consider the series of hypersurfaces {fx N=0} wherex is a generic linear form. We derive a formula, which relates the characteristic polynomials of the monodromies off andfx N. Other ingredients in this formula are the horizontal and the vertical monodromies of the transversal (isolated) singularities on each branch of the singular set. We use polar curves and the carrousel method in the proof. The formula is a generalization of the Iomdin formula for the Milnor numbers: μ(f+ɛx N )=μ n (f)−μ n −1(f)+Ne 0(Σ)  相似文献

Summary In this paper we study the Chow groups of schemes for which the class map to Borel-Moore homology is an isomorphism. Then we determine the Chow groups of the scheme Copk P n parametrizing finite coplanary subschemes of lenght k ofP n and of the variety of «complete S-tuples» of Le Barz. The authors were partially supported by the DGICYT.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. A subgroup K of a group G is called an ?-subgroup of G if N G (K) ∩ K x  ≦ K for all x ? G. The set of all ?-subgroups of G will be denoted by ?(G). Let P be a nontrivial p-group. A chain of subgroups 1 = P 0 ? P 1 ? ··· ? P n  = P is called a maximal chain of P provided that |P i : P i?1| = p, i = 1, 2, ···, n. A nontrivial p-subgroup P of G is called weakly supersolvably embedded in G if P has a maximal chain 1 = P 0 ? P 1 ? ··· ? P i  ? ··· ? P n  = P such that P i  ? ?(G) for i = 1, 2, ···, n. Using the concept of weakly supersolvably embedded, we obtain new characterizations of p-nilpotent and supersolvable finite groups.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We are concerned with a lower bound with a gain of k/2 + 1 derivatives for the class OP N m, k (X, Σ) of pesudodifferential operators with characteristics of even multiplicity k ≥ 2. In the case of double characteristics operators (k = 2), we recapture a well-known inequality due to Hörmander.  相似文献

Let (R, m) be a Cohen–Macaulay local ring, and let ? = {F i } i∈? be an F 1-good filtration of ideals in R. If F 1 is m-primary we obtain sufficient conditions in order that the associated graded ring G(?) be Cohen–Macaulay. In the case where R is Gorenstein, we use the Cohen–Macaulay result to establish necessary and sufficient conditions for G(?) to be Gorenstein. We apply this result to the integral closure filtration ? associated to a monomial parameter ideal of a polynomial ring to give necessary and sufficient conditions for G(?) to be Gorenstein. Let (R, m) be a Gorenstein local ring, and let F 1 be an ideal with ht(F 1) = g > 0. If there exists a reduction J of ? with μ(J) = g and reduction number u: = r J (?), we prove that the extended Rees algebra R′(?) is quasi-Gorenstein with a-invariant b if and only if J n : F u  = F n+b?u+g?1 for every n ∈ ?. Furthermore, if G(?) is Cohen–Macaulay, then the maximal degree of a homogeneous minimal generator of the canonical module ω G(?) is at most g and that of the canonical module ω R′(?) is at most g ? 1; moreover, R′(?) is Gorenstein if and only if J u : F u  = F u . We illustrate with various examples cases where G(?) is or is not Gorenstein.  相似文献

A Jordan partition λ(m, n, p) = (λ1, λ2, … , λ m ) is a partition of mn associated with the expression of a tensor V m  ? V n of indecomposable KG-modules into a sum of indecomposables, where K is a field of characteristic p and G a cyclic group of p-power order. It is standard if λ i  = m + n ? 2i + 1 for all i. We answer a recent question of Glasby, Praeger, and Xia who asked for necessary and sufficient conditions for λ(m, n, p) to be standard.  相似文献

Let m = (m0, m1, m2, n) be an almost arithmetic sequence, i.e., a sequence of positive integers with gcd(m0, m1, m2, n) = 1, such that m0 < m1 < m2 form an arithmetic progression, n is arbitrary and they minimally generate the numerical semigroup Γ =m0? +m1? +m2? +n?. Let k be a field. The homogeneous coordinate ring k[Γ] of the affine monomial curve parametrically defined by X0 = tm0, X1 = tm1, X2 = tm2, Y = tn is a graded R-module, where R is the polynomial ring k[X0, X1, X2, Y] with the grading degXi: = mi, degY: = n. In this paper, we construct a minimal graded free resolution for k[Γ].  相似文献

In this paper we prove a theorem about the reduction of the codimension of n-dimensional submanifolds of a space form Rm(k), with an (n-1)-dimensional asymptotic distribution and with 1-asymptotic lines (i.e. asymptotic curves for which the (1+1)-dimensional osculating spaces are subspaces of the tangent spaces). We also give a result for (n–1)-asymptotic lines in connection with Enneper's formula. Finally we construct an example.Dedicated to Prof.dr.J.Bilo on his 65th birthday  相似文献

In this article we prove that a set of points B of PG(n, 2) is a minimal blocking set if and only if ?B? = PG(d, 2) with d odd and B is a set of d + 2 points of PG(d, 2) no d + 1 of them in the same hyperplane. As a corollary to the latter result we show that if G is a finite 2-group and n is a positive integer, then G admits a ? n+1-cover if and only if n is even and G? (C 2) n , where by a ? m -cover for a group H we mean a set 𝒞 of size m of maximal subgroups of H whose set-theoretic union is the whole H and no proper subset of 𝒞 has the latter property and the intersection of the maximal subgroups is core-free. Also for all n < 10 we find all pairs (m,p) (m > 0 an integer and p a prime number) for which there is a blocking set B of size n in PG(m,p) such that ?B? = PG(m,p).  相似文献

Let W → 𝔸 2 be the universal Weierstrass family of cubic curves over ?. For each N ≥ 2, we construct surfaces parameterizing the three standard kinds of level N structures on the smooth fibers of W. We then complete these surfaces to finite covers of 𝔸 2. Since W → 𝔸 2 is the versal deformation space of a cusp singularity, these surfaces convey information about the level structure on any family of curves of genus g degenerating to a cuspidal curve. Our goal in this note is to determine for which values of N these surfaces are smooth over (0, 0). From a topological perspective, the results determine the homeomorphism type of certain branched covers of S 3 with monodromy in SL2 (?/N).  相似文献

Let Φ be a Drinfeld A-module over an A-field K of generic characteristic. We will prove the following two results which are analogous to ones in number fields. Case 1. Φ is of rank one. Suppose that P and Q are two nontorsion points in Φ(K). If for any element a ? A and almost all prime ideals 𝒫 in  one has that Φ a (P) ≡ 0 (mod 𝒫) ? Φ a (Q) ≡ 0 (mod 𝒫), then Q = Φ m (P) for some m ? A. Case 2. Φ is of general rank ≥ 1. Let x, y ? Φ(K) be two K-rational points. Denote  = End K (Φ) which is commutative and Λ =  · y which is a cyclic -module. Let red v :Φ(K) → Φ(k v ) be the reduction map at a place v of K with residue field k v . If red v (x) ? red v (Λ) for almost all places v of K. Then f(x) = g(y), for some nonzero elements f and g in .  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this contribution, we establish a calculus of pseudodifferential boundary value problems with Hölder continuous coefficients. It is a generalization of the calculus of pseudodifferential boundary value problems introduced by Boutet de Monvel. We discuss their mapping properties in Bessel potential and certain Besov spaces. Although having non-smooth coefficients and the operator classes being not closed under composition, we will prove that the composition of Green operators a 1(x, D x )a 2(x, D x ) coincides with a Green operator a(x, D x ) up to order m 1 + m 2 ? Θ, where Θ ∈ (0, τ2) is arbitrary, a j (x, ξ) is in C τ j (? n ) w.r.t. x, and m j is the order of a j (x, D x ), j = 1, 2. Moreover, a(x, D x ) is obtained by the asymptotic expansion formula of the smooth coefficient case leaving out all terms of order less than m 1 + m 2 ? Θ. This result is used to construct a parametrix of a uniformly elliptic Green operator a(x, D x ).  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Let X be a nondegenerate subvariety of degree d and codimension e in the projective space ? n . If X is smooth, any multisecant line to X cuts X along a 0-dimensional scheme of length at most d ? e + 1. Moreover, smooth varieties X having a (d ? e + 1)-secant line (an extremal secant line) have been completely classified, extending del Pezzo and Bertini classification of varieties of minimal degree. In this article, we almost completely classify possibly singular varieties having an extremal secant line, without any assumptions on the singularities of X. First, we show that, if e ≠ 2, a multisecant line to X meets X along a 0-dimensional scheme of length at most d ? e + 1. Then, we completely classify singular varieties having a (d ? e + 1)-secant line for e ≠ 3. A partial result is provided in case e = 3.  相似文献
