A highly ordered nanoporous aluminosilicate (MMZY) is prepared and employed as a catalyst for the synthesis of benzimidazoles from 1,2-diaminobenzene and aromatic aldehydes. In all the cases, the reactions are highly chemoselective and afford 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles in excellent yield. The catalyst was characterized by electron microscopy and X-ray methods and its other advantages like functional tolerance, mildness of the reaction conditions, easy separation, and reusability are also highlighted.  相似文献

An efficient, microwave-assisted method for the mercury chloride mediated synthesis of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles has been developed. Biologically interesting benzimidazoles were readily assembled utilizing SNAr reactions, reduction, and followed with mercury(II) mediated cyclization under microwave irradiation. The desired products were then liberated from the soluble matrix in excellent yield and purity after cleavage.  相似文献

We have developed a straightforward approach to diverse synthesis of 2,3-, 2,4-disubstituted pyrimido [1,2-a]benzimidazoles, 2,4,10-trisubstituted 2,10-dihydropyrimido [1,2-a]benzimidazoles and 2,3-disubstituted imidazo [2,1-b]benzothiazoles via multicomponent reactions (MCRs) of heterocyclic azoles, aldehydes with easily storable and handling alkynecarboxylic acids. In the presence of a catalytic amount of CuI and K2CO3, the pyrimido [1,2-a]benzimidazole or imidazo [2,1-b]benzothiazole scaffold could be rapidly constructed through a 6-endo-dig or 5-exo-dig cyclization, respectively. The preliminary mechanistic study suggested that the formation of 2,3- disubstituted pyrimido [1,2-a]benzimidazoles, which completes the assembly of the scaffold and its C-3 position functionalization in one pot, undergoes a novel cascade process involving a decarboxylation, A [3] coupling, 6-endo-dig cyclization, nucleophilic addition and dehydration.  相似文献

We described herein the use of glycerol as solvent in the catalyst-free synthesis of benzodiazepines and benzimidazoles. This simple and efficient method furnishes the corresponding 1-H-1,5-benzodiazepines and 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles in good yields by the condensation of o-phenylenediamine with several ketones and aldehydes, respectively. In addition, glycerol can be easily re-utilized for further condensation reactions up to four times without lost of activity.  相似文献

Zn-proline (5 mol%) performs as a novel water-soluble and recyclable Lewis acid catalyst for the selective synthesis of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles from wide range of substituted o-phenylenediamines and aldehydes in moderate to excellent isolated yields (42-92%) using water as solvent at ambient temperature.  相似文献

A facile method to synthesize various 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles is developed. It is suggested that formation of a Meisenheimer adduct between the substrate, amine, and solvent aids the N-arylation process. The generality of the protocol is demonstrated by the efficient reactions involving numerous substituents ranging from electron-withdrawing groups to electron-donating groups.  相似文献

A general and easy method for the synthesis of several 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles using SiO2/ZnCl2 and solvent-free conditions is described. This efficient and improved method furnishes selectively and in good yields the corresponding 1,2-bis(organyl)-benzimidazoles starting from o-phenylenediamine and aromatic or aliphatic aldehydes. The catalytic system was re-used up three times and the use of focused microwaves accelerates the reaction.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple method for the synthesis of several 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles catalyzed by strongly acidic SBA-15-supported poly(4-styrenesulfonyl-(perfluorobutylsulfonyl)imide) is described. The protocol furnished the products in moderate yield and good selectivity in the condensation of o-phenylenediamine with structurally diverse aldehydes under mild conditions.  相似文献

An efficient, environmental friendly and substrate controlled method of synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives 3 and 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives 4 with high selectivity has been achieved from the reaction of o-phenylenediamine 1 and aldehydes 2 in the presence of water extract of onion and selecting suitable reaction medium. This method is widely applicable for variety of aldehydes such as aromatic/aliphatic/heterocyclic aldehydes and 1,2-diamines to afford 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives 3 and 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivatives 4 in good to excellent yields (up to 96%). The developed method of water extract of onion catalysis produced 2-substituted benzimidazoles 3 from aromatic aldehydes having electron-withdrawing groups, whereas aromatic aldehydes bearing electron donating groups selectively furnished 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole 4 derivatives. The process described here has several advantages of cheap, low energy consumption, commercially available starting materials, operational simplicity and nontoxic catalyst. The use of water extract of onion makes this present methodology green and giving a useful contribution to the existing methods available for the preparation of benzimidazole derivatives. In addition, Hammett correlation of substituent constant (σ) vs percentage (%) yield has been established.  相似文献

Stable 3-acetyl derivatives of imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazole were synthesized by the action of acetic anhydride on 2,9-disubstituted imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazole. Synthesis of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles has been developed by the condensation of diamine with aldehydes using nano In2O3 as an efficient catalyst under mild reaction conditions in aqueous media. The procedure is applicable to aryl, aliphatic, heteroaryl aldehydes. In2O3 nanoparticles are recyclable without the loss of significant catalytic activity.  相似文献

The reaction of N-aminobenzimidazoles with ketones under the conditions of the Fischer reaction, as a result of which derivatives of 1,3-disubstituted pyrido-[1,2-a]benzimidazoles are unexpectedly formed, was investigated. A novel efficient method for the selective synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazoles is described through condensation reaction of o-phenylenediamines with a wide rang of aliphatic, aromatic and heteroaromatic aldehyde substrates using Brönsted acidic ionic liquid as a reusable catalyst under metal-free conditions at ambient temperature. Notably, Dodecylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([DodecIm][HSO4]) is the most efficient catalyst for good to excellent yields of the corresponding products (up to 98%). Subsequently, this protocol was successfully applied for the preparation of N-alkylated 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles in high to excellent yields via sequential one-pot reaction. In addition, catalysts are recycled at least four times without significant loss in activity.  相似文献

One-pot multistep reactions involving a new environmentally friendly catalytic procedure have been developed for the synthesis of benzimidazoles. Benzimidazole derivatives with biological and pharmaceutical interest have been prepared by a one-pot four step process with a solid catalyst containing basic and oxidation sites. The four steps refer to: (a) oxidation of the alcohol; (b) cyclocondensation of the aldehyde formed with ortho-phenylenediamines, (c) oxidation of the carbon-nitrogen bond, (d) N-alkylation reaction. The process is illustrated by the synthesis of 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazole derivative with antiviral activity.  相似文献

The substitutive addition of acrylic acids and their esters, amides, and nitriles to 2,9-disubstituted imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazoles, which leads to 3-(imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazol-3-yl)propionic acids and their derivatives, was studied. The rate of addition depends on the structure of the unsaturated compound, the nature of the substituent in the 2 position, the magnitude of the charge on the carbon atom in the 3 position of the heteroring, and the reaction conditions. The addition proceeds most smoothly in polyphosphoric acid (PPA). In the case of acrylonitrile imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazol-3-ylpropionic acid amides were isolated in PPA.
