Configuration interaction (CI) studies of ground, n *, * * electronically excited states are reported for pyridine N-oxide. The transition energy to the lowest * excited 1 B 2 state is calculated at 4.35 eV, compared to the experimental spectrum range of 3.67–4.0 eV. This state lies below the lowest n * excited 1 A 2 state calculated at 4.81 eV above the ground state. The only experimentally reported triplet state at 2.92 eV above the ground state is predicted to be the 3 A 1 (*) state. The calculated energy lies at 3.27 eV. Numerous other high-lying singlet states as well as the triplet states have also been calculated. The intramolecular charge transfer character of the ground and the excited states have been studied in terms of the calculated dipole moment and other physical properties.  相似文献

Summary The electronically excited states of formaldehyde are examined by means of multiconfigurational second-order perturbation (CASPT2) theory with extended ANO-type basis sets. The calculations comprised five valence excited states plus all singlet 3s, 3p, and 3d members of the Rydberg series converging on the first ionization. The computed vertical excitation energies were found to be within 0.2 eV of the available experimental energies. Full geometry optimization has been performed for five valence excited states. Assuming a planar geometry, the 0-0 transition for the valence1A1( *) state is calculated to appear near 7.9 eV, close to the (n y 3p) region. This state is, however, not planar and the true adiabatic energy is 7.4 eV, which is 2.3 eV below the corresponding vertical transition.  相似文献

Electron transitions in divinyl chalcogenides (CH2=CHXCH=CH2, where X is S, Se, or Te) have been analyzed using UV absorption spectra of dialkyl and alkyl vinyl chalcogenides. The following relations for the orbital energies are found: * < * < * < * for Te and * < * < * < * for S and Se. For chalcophenes, a correlation between the energy of the excited state (E *) of specific symmetry, the ionization potential (I) and the electron affinity (EA) is obtained:E *=const+(I+EA)/2. The electron affinity of divinyl chalcogenides is estimated. Two new triterpene glycosides of the -amyrin series, L-C 2 and L-I 2 , 27-hydroxyursolic acid 3-O--L-arabinopyranoside and its 28-O--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(14)-O--D-glucopyranosyl-(16)-O--D-glucopyranosyl ester, are isolated from leaves ofScheffleropsis angkae(Araliaceae). The electronic spectrum of VCr has been studied using the complete-active-space self-consistent field complete-active-space second-order perturbation theory approach. Potential-energy curves for 12 electronic states have been computed. Transition energies, with respect to the X2 ground state, for some of the calculated electronic states are (with possible experimental values within parentheses) 0.53 eV (0.56) for A2+, 1.03 eV (1.14) for A4, 1.20 eV (1.14) for B2, 1.45 eV (1.51) for B4, 1.60 eV (1.51, 1.78) for C2, and 1.61 eV (1.63) for A4. The purpose of this article is to show that CHELP, CHELPG, and Merz and Kollman undergo error for the charge on atoms of HCOO (H2O) n for n = 1 6. We also demonstrate that the CHELP, CHELPG, and Merz and Kollman show error for the tendency toward change in the charges on carbons for CH3NH+ 3 (CH3)2NH+ 2 (CH3)3NH+ (CH3)4N+.  相似文献

The electronic structure of the croconate anion is investigated by the semi-empirical VESCF method with CI including up to the doubly excited configurations. The effect of the doubly excited configuration is quite large in the lowest singlet state which turns out to be a ground state, while the calculation including only singly excited configurations produces a triplet ground state. The calculated first transition energy (1 A1 1 E1) is in fair agreement with the observed value. The interpretation of the transition moment in case that the doubly excited configurations are included is also discussed.
Zusammenfassung Die Elektronenstruktur des Croconat-Anions wurde mit der halbempirischen VESCF-Methode mit Konfigurationswechselwirkung, die bis zu zweifach angeregte Konfigurationen einschloß, untersucht. Der Einfluß der zweifach angeregten Konfigurationen ist im niedrigsten Singulettzustand, der sich als Grundzustand herausstellt, sehr stark. Schließt die Rechnung hingegen nur einfach angeregte Konfigurationen ein, so erhält man einen Tripletgrundzustand. Die berechnete erste Übergangsenergie (1 A1 1 E1 stimmt gut mit dem beobachteten Wert überein. Ebenso wird die Interpretation des Übergangsmomentes für den Fall, daß auch zweifach angeregte Konfigurationen berücksichtigt werden, diskutiert.

Resumé La structure électronique de l'anion croconique est étudieé par la méthode VESCF semi-empirique avec IC, configurations diexcitées comprises. L'effet des configurations diexcitées est très important sur l'état singulet le plus has qui est un état fundamental, alors que si l'on ne tient compte que des configurations monoexcitées on obtient un état fundamental triplet. La premiére énergie de transition calculée (1 A1 1 E1 est en bon accord avec la valeur observee. Le moment de transition est interprété dans les cas où l'on tient compte des configurations diexcitées.

Bioaccumulation of six metals (Cu2+, Cu+, Mo6+, Mn2+, V5+, Ni2+) and their combinations by algaScenedesmus quadricauda was determined by using radio nuclide X-ray fluorescence (RXFA). The metals were added into the cultivation medium in concentrations corresponding with EC50 value for each metal. The obtained results indicate that Ni2+, Cu2+ and Cu+ were accumulated in high amounts (20%, 17.5% and 15.19%) the Mo6+ ion (<0.2%) was accumulated in the lowest amount. For metal-metal interactions in accumulation of metal ions by algaS. quadricauda three types of answers were determined: inhibition (MoCu2+, Ni, Mn, V; VNi, Mn; MnNi, Cu2+, Cu+; Cu+Ni; Cu2+Ni; NiMn, V), enhancement (VCu+; Cu2+Mn;Cu+V, Mn; MnV; NiCu2+, Cu+) and neutral effect (VMo; Cu2+Mo; Cu+Mo; MuMo; NiMo).  相似文献

Short-wavelength nSe * and long-wavelength nSe * bands are observed in the UV spectra of saturated trialkylarsine selenides in the near-UV region. The nx * band in going from arsine selenides to arsine sulfide and then to arsine oxides is shifted hypsochromically, as in the corresponding phosphorus compounds. The nx * band is only slightly sensitive to the chalcogen. Summary Various routes for the synthesis of the methyl ether of d,l-estrone (XI) and of d,l-estrone itself (XIII) have been investigated. Summary New oxomolybdenum(V) complexes MoOCIL (where LH2 = Schiff base) derived from ethanolamine and salicylaldehyde, 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde, 5-bromosalicylaldehyde, 5-nitrosalicylaldehyde, 3-ethoxysalicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde have been synthesized and characterised by elemental analyses, conductance, molecular weight, i.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. The Schiff bases behave as dibasic tridentate ONO donor ligands. The complexes are non-electrolytes and dimers. The complexes exhibit subnormal magnetic moments and are involved in antiferromagnetic exchange withS=0 ground state. The complexes exhibit electronic spectral bands atca. 13000 andca. 17000 cm–1 due to the transitionsd xy d xz,yz (2B2 2E) andd xy d x 2–y2 (2B2 2B1), respectively. The (Mo=O) frequency of the complexes is observed in the 900–970 cm–1 region. Summary The spectra of octahedral cobalt(II) species in sodium ultraphosphate glasses show the two-electron transition,4 T 1g (F) 4 A 2g (F), as a resolved band, separate from the intense one-electron transition4 T 1g (F) 4 T 1g (P), which normally masks it in the visible spectra of cobalt(II) hydrates.  相似文献

A delayed coincidence method, time-interval analysis (TIA), has been applied to successive decay events on the millisecond time-scale. Such decay events are part of the 220Rn216Po (T1/2 145 ms) (Th-series) and 219Rn215Po (T1/2 1.78 ms) (Ac-series). By using TIA in addition to measurement of 226Ra (U-series) from -spectrometry by liquid scintillation counting (LSC), two natural decay series could be identified and separated. The TIA detection efficiency was improved by using the pulse-shape discrimination technique (PSD) to reject -pulses, by solvent extraction of Ra combined with simple chemical separation, and by purging the scintillation solution with dry N2 gas. The U- and Th-series together with the Ac-series were determined, respectively, from alpha spectra and TIA carried out immediately after Ra-extraction. Using the 221Fr217At (T1/2 32.3 ms) decay process as a tracer, overall yields were estimated from application of TIA to the 225Ra (Np-decay series) at the time of maximum growth. The present method has proven useful for simultaneous determination of three radioactive decay series in environmental samples.  相似文献

Four triterpene glycosides were isolated from the roots of Pulsatilla chinensis (Bunge) Regel (Ranunculaceae). Two new glycosides, chinensiosides A (1a) and B (2), were identified as 3-O-[-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(12)--L-arabinopyranosyl]-28-O-[-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(14)--D-glucopyranosyl-(16)--D-glucopyranosyl]-3,23-dihydroxylup-20(29)-en-28-oic acid and 3-O-{-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(12)-[-D-glucopyranosyl-(14)]--L-arabinopyranosyl}-28-O-[-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(14)--D-glucopyranosyl-(16)--D-glucopyranosyl]-3,23-dihydroxylup-20(29)-en-28-oic acid. The other two glycosides were identified as previously known hederasaponin C (3) from Hedera helix and glycoside III (4) from Pulsatilla cernua.  相似文献

The electronic structure of the triphenylgallium molecule in the ground and electronically excited states has been calculated in the framework of the CNDO/S-CI method in sp and spd bases. The electron density in the AO's and atoms, the first ionization potential the energies and matrices of the changes in the electron density of the Sn and Tn states, the matrix elements of the spin-orbit coupling operator $$ " align="middle" border="0"> and $$ " align="middle" border="0"> , the intensities and directions of polarization of the Sn So and T2 Tn transitions, and the phosphorescence lifetimes have been calculated. The following spectroscopic parametrization has been proposed for the Ga atom in the sp and spd bases: 1/2(Is + as) = 10.075 eV, 1/2(Ip + Ap) = 4.265 eV, 1/2(Id + Ad)=0, Ga p =5 eV, Ga d =O, Ga sp =–7 eV, Ga spd =–10 eV, and s,p,d=1.433. Two new steroid glycosides, which have been called echinasterosides B1 and B2 have been isolated from the starfishEchinaster sepositus.
