A scheme XPn of codimension c is called standard determinantal if its homogeneous saturated ideal can be generated by the t×t minors of a homogeneous t×(t+c−1) matrix (fij). Given integers a0a1≤?≤at+c−2 and b1≤?≤bt, we denote by the stratum of standard determinantal schemes where fij are homogeneous polynomials of degrees ajbi and is the Hilbert scheme (if nc>0, resp. the postulation Hilbert scheme if nc=0).Focusing mainly on zero and one dimensional determinantal schemes we determine the codimension of in and we show that is generically smooth along under certain conditions. For zero dimensional schemes (only) we find a counterexample to the conjectured value of appearing in Kleppe and Miró-Roig (2005) [25].  相似文献

Let X1,X2,…,Xn be independent exponential random variables such that Xi has failure rate λ for i=1,…,p and Xj has failure rate λ* for j=p+1,…,n, where p≥1 and q=n-p≥1. Denote by Di:n(p,q)=Xi:n-Xi-1:n the ith spacing of the order statistics , where X0:n≡0. It is shown that Di:n(p,q)?lrDi+1:n(p,q) for i=1,…,n-1, and that if λ?λ* then , and for i=1,…,n, where ?lr denotes the likelihood ratio order. The main results are used to establish the dispersive orderings between spacings.  相似文献

Let be generalized order statistics based on a continuous distribution function F with parameters k and (m1,…,mn−1). Chen and Hu (2007) [8] investigated the sufficient conditions on F and on the parameters k and mi’s such that , where , and is the Shaked-Shanthikumar multivariate dispersive order. Since the order does not possess the closure property under marginalization, one may naturally wonder whether the corresponding multivariate margins of the above random vectors are also ordered in the order . This is answered affirmatively in this paper. Some comparison results for generalized order statistics from two samples are presented. Potential applications are also mentioned.  相似文献

We introduce a functor from the category of braided spaces into the category of braided Hopf algebras which associates to a braided space V a braided Hopf algebra of planar rooted trees . We show that the Nichols algebra of V is a subquotient of . We construct a Hopf pairing between and , generalising one of the results of [Bull. Sci. Math. 126 (2002) 193-239]. When the braiding of c is given by c(vivj)=qi,jvjvi, we obtain a quantification of the Hopf algebras introduced in [Bull. Sci. Math. 126 (2002) 193-239; 126 (2002) 249-288]. When qi,j=qai,j, with q an indeterminate and (ai,j)i,j the Cartan matrix of a semi-simple Lie algebra , then is a subquotient of . In this case, we construct the crossed product of with a torus and then the Drinfel'd quantum double of this Hopf algebra. We show that is a subquotient of .  相似文献

It was discovered some years ago that there exist non-integer real numbers q>1 for which only one sequence (ci) of integers ci∈[0,q) satisfies the equality . The set of such “univoque numbers” has a rich topological structure, and its study revealed a number of unexpected connections with measure theory, fractals, ergodic theory and Diophantine approximation. In this paper we consider for each fixed q>1 the set Uq of real numbers x having a unique representation of the form with integers ci belonging to [0,q). We carry out a detailed topological study of these sets. For instance, we characterize their closures, and we determine those bases q for which Uq is closed or even a Cantor set. We also study the set consisting of all sequences (ci) of integers ci∈[0,q) such that . We determine the numbers r>1 for which the map (defined on (1,∞)) is constant in a neighborhood of r and the numbers q>1 for which is a subshift or a subshift of finite type.  相似文献

The classical polynomials of Meixner's type—Hermite, Charlier, Laguerre, Meixner, and Meixner-Pollaczek polynomials—are distinguished through a special form of their generating function, which involves the Laplace transform of their orthogonality measure. In this paper, we study analogs of the latter three classes of polynomials in infinite dimensions. We fix as an underlying space a (non-compact) Riemannian manifold X and an intensity measure σ on it. We consider a Jacobi field in the extended Fock space over L2(X;σ), whose field operator at a point xX is of the form , where λ is a real parameter. Here, x and are, respectively, the annihilation and creation operators at the point x. We then realize the field operators as multiplication operators in , where is the dual of , and μλ is the spectral measure of the Jacobi field. We show that μλ is a gamma measure for |λ|=2, a Pascal measure for |λ|>2, and a Meixner measure for |λ|<2. In all the cases, μλ is a Lévy noise measure. The isomorphism between the extended Fock space and is carried out by infinite-dimensional polynomials of Meixner's type. We find the generating function of these polynomials and using it, we study the action of the operators x and in the functional realization.  相似文献

The notion of a modular is introduced as follows. A (metric) modular on a set X is a function w:(0,X×X→[0,] satisfying, for all x,y,zX, the following three properties: x=y if and only if w(λ,x,y)=0 for all λ>0; w(λ,x,y)=w(λ,y,x) for all λ>0; w(λ+μ,x,y)≤w(λ,x,z)+w(μ,y,z) for all λ,μ>0. We show that, given x0X, the set Xw={xX:limλw(λ,x,x0)=0} is a metric space with metric , called a modular space. The modular w is said to be convex if (λ,x,y)?λw(λ,x,y) is also a modular on X. In this case Xw coincides with the set of all xX such that w(λ,x,x0)< for some λ=λ(x)>0 and is metrizable by . Moreover, if or , then ; otherwise, the reverse inequalities hold. We develop the theory of metric spaces, generated by modulars, and extend the results by H. Nakano, J. Musielak, W. Orlicz, Ph. Turpin and others for modulars on linear spaces.  相似文献

We consider a random (multi)graph growth process {Gm} on a vertex set [n], which is a special case of a more general process proposed by Laci Lovász in 2002. G0 is empty, and Gm+1 is obtained from Gm by inserting a new edge e at random. Specifically, the conditional probability that e joins two currently disjoint vertices, i and j, is proportional to (di+α)(dj+α), where di, dj are the degrees of i, j in Gm, and α>0 is a fixed parameter. The limiting case α=∞ is the Erd?s-Rényi graph process. We show that whp Gm contains a unique giant component iff c:=2m/n>cα=α/(1+α), and the size of this giant is asymptotic to , where c<cα is the root of . A phase transition window is proved to be contained, essentially, in [cαAn−1/3,cα+Bn−1/4], and we conjecture that 1/4 may be replaced with 1/3. For the multigraph version, {MGm}, we show that MGm is connected whp iff m?mn:=n1+α−1. We conjecture that, for α>1, mn is the threshold for connectedness of Gm itself.  相似文献

Let G be a simple graph of order n. Let and , where a and b are two nonzero integers and m is a positive integer such that m is not a perfect square. We say that Ac=[cij] is the conjugate adjacency matrix of the graph G if cij=c for any two adjacent vertices i and j, for any two nonadjacent vertices i and j, and cij=0 if i=j. Let PG(λ)=|λI-A| and denote the characteristic polynomial and the conjugate characteristic polynomial of G, respectively. In this work we show that if then , where denotes the complement of G. In particular, we prove that if and only if PG(λ)=PH(λ) and . Further, let Pc(G) be the collection of conjugate characteristic polynomials of vertex-deleted subgraphs Gi=G?i(i=1,2,…,n). If Pc(G)=Pc(H) we prove that , provided that the order of G is greater than 2.  相似文献

Let x?s,t(x) be a -valued stochastic homeomorphic flow produced by non-Lipschitz stochastic differential equation , where W=(W1,W2,…) is an infinite sequence of independent standard Brownian motions. We first give some estimates of modulus of continuity of {?s,t(⋅)}, then prove that the flow ?s,t(x), when x nears infinity, grows slower than for some constant c>0 and integrable random variable Z via lemma of Garsia-Rodemich-Rumsey Lemma (abbreviated as GRR Lemma) improved by Arnold and Imkeller [L. Arnold, P. Imkeller, Stratonovich calculus with spatial parameters and anticipative problems in multiplicative ergodic theory, Stochastic Process. Appl. 62 (1996) 19-54] and moment estimates for one- and two-point motions.  相似文献

We study m-dimensional SDE , where {Wi}i?1 is an infinite sequence of independent standard d-dimensional Brownian motions. The existence and pathwise uniqueness of strong solutions to the SDE was established recently in [Z. Liang, Stochastic differential equations driven by countably many Brownian motions with non-Lipschitzian coefficients, Preprint, 2004]. We will show that the unique strong solution produces a stochastic flow of homeomorphisms if the modulus of continuity of coefficients is less than , ?∈[0,1) with ?(−1)=1, and the coefficients are compactly supported.  相似文献
