Single crystals with known Tc values of Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ (Y---Pr1:2:3) and YBa2Cu3−xZn3−xZnxO7−δ (Y---Zn1:2:3) systems are studied by Raman measurements. The Raman spectra for (Y---Pr1:2:3) single crystals show that the frequencies of Ba and Oz modes increase as the Pr content increases. The results are consistent with the hole-localization scheme proposed for the suppression of superconductivity in the polycrystalline Y---Pr1:2:3 systems. On the other hand, in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system, all the Raman modes do not change in frequencies. However, the FWHM of the Cu(2) mode increases with the decrease of Tc, indicating strong scattering of charge carriers by the substituted Zn ions in the CuO2 planes. The induced disorder in the CuO2 planes may be related with suppression of Tc in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system. Thus, the suppression mechanism in the Y---Zn1:2:3 systems seems to be different from that in the Y---Pr1:2:3 systems.  相似文献

We have studied the stationary Josephson effect on YBa2Cu3O7−δ (Tc=90 K) and Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2 O8 (Tc=80 K and 87 K for two samples of different origin) ceramic based junctions. The temperature dependence of the critical current near Tc has been found as Ic≈(Tc-T) for the Y-Ba-Cu-O samples indicating that they should be classified as S-N-I-N-S type junctions. The I-V curves of the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu samples show the typical behaviour of S-I-S structures. Using Ambegaokar-Baratoff's theory for Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2O8, the temperature dependence of the superconducting state gap Δ(T) was calculated and it was evaluated that 1.452Δ(0)/kBTc3.5.  相似文献

We have prepared Zn-substituted YBa2Cu3−xZnxO7 (YBCO, x=0.0–0.09) and performed 63,65Cu nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements for the plane site at 300 and 100 K as a function of Zn concentration. The substitutional effects are observed in resonant frequencies and linewidths of spectra, and relaxation times as well as in the superconducting transition temperature. The spin–lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 is reduced for the higher Zn concentration and the reduction is more significant at 100 K. The ratio of 63,65Cu spin–lattice relaxation rates suggests that a magnetic contribution due to the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation becomes weak as the Zn concentration increases. These effects confirm that the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation of Cu 3d spins is suppressed by the Zn substitution due to the absence of local moment at the zinc site.  相似文献

Bi2-xPbxSr2(Y, Ce)2Cu2O10+δ, a new family of lead containing Bi-2222 compounds has been synthesized and effects of annealing in high pressure of oxygen studied. Lead-free Bi2Sr2(Y, Ce)2Cu2O10+δ synthesized under flowing oxygen is known to be non-superconducting, but annealing under high oxygen pressure (100 bar) at 500°C, induced superconductivity with Tc=25 K. On substitution of lead (x>0.4), the superconductivity appears even in samples synthesized under flowing oxygen (1 bar). Tc increases with oxygen annealing pressure for all compositions, and it also increases with Pb content at a given oxygen pressure. These findings are discussed.  相似文献

Superconducting transition temperature (Tc), Ca content and oxygen deficiency are studied on GaSr1.8Ca0.2Yb1xCaxCu2O7 (x≤0.35). Superconducting samples with Tc=52 K are prepared after the annealing at 20 MPa of oxygen. The Tc is reduced through a slight oxygen loss accompanied by annealing in air above 650°C. The oxygen loss suggests the presence of short Cu–O chains in the GaO4 slab. The formal valence of planar Cu required for the appearance of superconductivity depends on oxygen and Ca contents. The critical formal Cu valences are 2.105 and 2.125 for the samples annealed in air at 600°C and at 835°C, respectively. The values are higher than those of usual high-Tc superconductors. This can be explained by a high concentration of localized holes in the CuO5 slab.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) is studied in the high Tc superconductors, YBa2Cu3O7−δ. The measurements were done at the Cu K-edge for samples of two orthorhombic phases (Tc≈90 K and ≈58 K, respectively) and a nonsuperconducting tetragonal phase. Interatomic distances and mean square relative displacements σ2 for Cu-O bonds are determined by the least squares refinement. The results indicate that values of σ2 increase near Tc for both the orthorhombic samples. It is concluded that this anomalous behavior related to Tc is caused by an anomalous vibration of oxygen atoms in the Ba-O layer. Changes in the Cu-O distances from 300 to 20 K are not found.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivities of Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy and MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy composites with the nominal Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy volume fraction, 2212, ranging from 0.15 to 1.00. For the Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu 2Oy composites, we find for the samples with 2212≥0.6 that the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, is not disturbed by the addition of Al2O3. For 2212<0.3, no zero-resistivity state is observed. For the MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy composites, Tc is barely disturbed for the samples with ρ2212≥0.7. No superconducting state is observed for the samples with ρ2212<0.35. The variation of (300 K) with ρ2212 indicates a three-dimensional percolating Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O matrix occurring at ρ2212≈0.19 and ≈0.15 in Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2 Cu2Oy and MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy, respectively. Both resistivity and magnetization measurements suggest that the reactions of Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy with MgO are weaker than with Al2O3.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity and thermopower are reported for a hole doped Eu1.5Ce0.5RuSr2Cu2O10+δ sample that has been annealed at 1100 K under an oxygen pressure of 54 atm. At Tc=45 K superconductivity and weak ferromagnetism coexist (Tm=180 K). Weak features in the thermopower, S(T), and thermal conductivity, κ(T), are observed both at Tm and at T*=140 K. The thermopower begins to decrease sharply toward zero at Tc, and there is an extremely sharp increase of about 30% in the thermal conductivity at Tc. This “first order” transition may be related to the sudden appearance of a spontaneous vortex phase at Tc. A small shoulder is observed in κ(T) in the temperature range T=5–13 K.  相似文献

Pr concentration dependence of the superconducting transition temperature Tc in the Ho1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ system is determined from measurements of DC electrical resistance. This dependence coincides with that for the parallely studied Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ reference system. Both systems have the same value of the critical concentration xc=0.58, in accordance with nearly equal ionic radii of Ho3+ and Y3+ ions. It has been shown that the Tc(x) curve can be described with a single mechanism based on a decreasing number of sheet holes trapped by PrIV-ions, if one takes also into account that the number of these ions changes with x.  相似文献

The P-T-x phase diagram of the pseudobinary system (Y-Ba-Cu-O)-O2 has been further investigated in the oxygen pressure range between 1 and 3000 bar. The stability ranges of the phases YBa2Cu4O8 (124), YBa2Cu3.5O7.5−x (123.5) and YBa2Cu3O7−x (123) have been determined. Long duration experiments showed that the 123 phase is not stable at least down to 7 bar≤P≤20 bar oxygen and 900°C. It is not clear whether at lower pressures and temperatures the 123 phase is thermodynamically stable or metastable due to low reaction rates. In the presence of excess CuO, the 124 is the stable phase. The melting of 124 pellets at PO2=2800 bar shows that even at this pressure the 124 compound melts incongruently. Using the phase diagram data we could change the Tc of 123.5 from 16 to 70 K by varying systematically the nonstoichiometry. Due to a narrow homogeneity range the Tc of 124 remained constant but is different for powder pellets (81 K) and for crystals (70 K), probably due to the influence of the flux. Single crystals of both 124 and 123.5 with dimensions up to 4 mm were grown from the flux under high oxygen pressure.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction analyses of good-quality single crystals of HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ, synthetized by a closed-vessel technique at low pressure, have lead to more definite results with respect to previous structural studies. Samples with Tc = 135 K showed a Cu occupancy of 16.1% on the Hg site at the origin of the unit cell. Excess oxygen appears to be present only in the basal plane at the interstitial site , 0 with an occupancy δ = 0.190 ± 0.015. This compound has the shortest copper oxygen apical distance within the mercury family (2.696(3) Å) together with an almost complete planarity of the CuO2 planes. Variations in the excess oxygen content upon different heat treatments were analyzed by thermogravimetry and magnetic-susceptibility measurements. A correlation between δ and Tc could be derived, showing in particular that superconductivity exists down to a very low interstitial oxygen content.  相似文献

The thermoelectric power (TEP) S versus temperature has been systematically investigated for several series of the superconducting cuprates Tl(Ba,Sr)2Cam−1CumO2m+3−δ (m = 2, 3) and Tl2Ba2Cam−1CumO2m+4+δ (m = 1, 2, 3). The consideration of the S(Tc) curves allows two important points to be found evidence for. The first one deals with the fact that all these superconducting thallium cuprates are systematically overdoped whatever Tc, and whatever the number of Cu or Tl layers; no underdoped superconducting cuprate could be obtained. The second point shows that there exist two classes of Tl cuprates: the weakly overdoped cuprates that exhibit a Tc max ≥ 100 K (all the triple copper layer cuprates and the 2212 cuprates) and those which can be heavily doped that exhibit a Tc max ≤ 90 K (the 2201 and the 1212 cuprates). The different behavior of thallium cuprates compared to YBa2Cu3O7−δ and to bismuth cuprates is discussed.  相似文献

We investigated the coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order in the compound Er2O2Bi with anti-ThCr2Si2-type structure through resistivity, magnetization, specific heat measurements and first-principle calculations. The superconducting transition temperature Tc of 1.23 K and antiferromagnetic transition temperature TN of 3 K are observed in the sample with the best nominal composition. The superconducting upper critical field Hc2(0) and electron-phonon coupling constant λeph in Er2O2Bi are similar to those in the previously reported non-magnetic superconductor Y2O2Bi with the same structure, indicating that the superconductivity in Er2O2Bi may have the same origin as in Y2O2Bi. The first-principle calculations of Er2O2Bi show that the Fermi surface is mainly composed of the Bi 6p orbitals both in the paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic state, implying minor effect of the 4f electrons on the Fermi surface. Besides, upon increasing the oxygen incorporation in Er2OxBi, Tc increases from 1 to 1.23 K and TN decreases slightly from 3 K to 2.96 K, revealing that superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order may compete with each other. The Hall effect measurements indicate that hole-type carrier density indeed increases with increasing oxygen content, which may account for the variations of Tc and TN with different oxygen content.  相似文献

139La-NQR measurements have been carried out in the ternary carbide superconductor LaNiC2. The nuclear quadrupole frequency and the asymmetry parameter of 139La in LaNiC2 were estimated to be about 1.9 MHz and 0, respectively. In the normal state, the nuclear spin relaxation rate (1/T1) in the 139La NQR signal was proportional to temperature (T) in zero external field above the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) or in an external field larger than the superconducting critical field, which means the system is in the Fermi-liquid state. In the superconducting state, on the other hand, 1/T1 decreases no more linearly with T, but decreases rapidly exponentially as exp (−Δ/kBT) at low T with an appreciable enhancement just below Tc. The value of the superconducting energy gap, 2Δ, was estimated to be 3.34kBTc, compared with 3.52kBTc of the BCS-value. This result strongly suggests that the superconductivity in LaNiC2 is of a conventional BCS type.  相似文献

The annealing characteristics and the superconducting properties of Tl2Ca2Ba2Cu3O10 thin films sputter-deposited onto yttrium- stabilized ZrO2 substrate at up to 500°C from two stoichiometric oxide targets are reported. The films deposited at 400–500°C were found to require a lower post-annealing temperature than the films deposited at lower temperatures to attain the highest Tc superconducting state, due to a more pronounced Ba diffusion toward the substrate as indicated by their secondary ion mass spectrometry depth profiles. The highest Tc achieved tends to degrade with increasing substrate temperatures, a zero resistance Tc of 121 and ≈90 K, respectively, being observed for the films deposited at -ambient temperature and at 500°C. The formation of the highest Tc phase (Tl2Ca2Ba2Cu3O10) generally is associated with a sheet type of crystal growth morphology with smooth and aligned surfaces which can be obtained only from the films capable of sustaining prolonged annealing at 900°C. Annealing at lower temperatures (≈860°C) results in the formation of rod or sphere type of morphologies with rough and randomly oriented crystals and the lower Tc phases such as Tl2Ca1Ba2Cu2O8.  相似文献

Samples of Bi2Sr2Ca1−xPrxCu2Oy have been characterized by resistivity and thermoelectric power measurements. All metallic samples show superconductivity with a maximum Tc = 90 K at X = 0.2. The sample of x = 0.6 shows a crossover from hopping conduction at low temperature above Tc to metallic conduction at high temperature. For the metallic samples below x = 0.6, the results of thermoelectric power are well fitted by both of a phenomenological band spectrum model and the Nagaosa and Lee model.  相似文献

All-thin-film ramp type Josephson junctions between YBa2Cu3O7−δ and Nb have been fabricated. This procedure allows connections between high-Tc and low-Tc superconductors at different crystal sides of the high-Tc superconductor on one chip, which is of great interest for novel phase devices. A thin Au layer is incorporated as a chemical barrier to avoid oxygen transfer from the YBa2Cu3O7−δ to the Nb. Critical current densities up to 600 A/cm2 are obtained at T=4.2 K, with typical RnA values of 0.8 μΩ cm2. The variation of the magnetic field dependence of the critical current with the angle between the junction barrier and the YBa2Cu3O7−δ crystal axes is explained by considering a predominant dx2y2 order parameter symmetry of the YBa2Cu3O7−δ. The successful fabrication of these junctions allows the implementation of novel superconducting electronics, such as complementary Josephson circuitry or proposed qubit concepts, using the unconventional order parameter symmetry of the high-Tc superconductor.  相似文献

Thin films of Cu, Y and BaF2 are co-condensed in ultrahigh vacuum onto SrTiO3 (1 0 0)-substrates at room temperature without any additional oxygen supply. It is found that the temperature of the ex situ fluorine-oxygen exchange reaction in flowing wet oxygen essentially determines whether the Y1Ba2Cu3O7 − x-phase (Tex = 850°C) or the Y2Ba4Cu8O16 − x-phase (Tex = 800°C) forms or any mixture of both phases in between. Small-angle X-ray diffraction verifies the strictly epitaxial growth of the superconducting phases. The variation of the composition around the ideal 1,2,3-stoichiometry affects only the superconducting and normal conducting properties which are measured using the four-probe Montgomery method. The values of the normal state resistivity and its temperature dependence are discussed in combination with a reduced cross section of the conduction paths in the films.  相似文献

Evidence is presented that in high-Tc superconductors the electrostatic interaction as expressed by the Madelung energy is the key factor in determining the charge distribution and in particular the distribution of the holes between the CuO2-planes and other structural subunits. Specifically, this explains the phase diagram (Tc as a function of oxygen content and oxidizing power) of cation-substituted YBa2Cu3O6+y and the oxygen ordering in YBa2Cu3O6.5. Moreover, we argue that the dependence of Tc on strontium content in La2−xSrxCuO4 is similarly due to the fact that holes go into the (La,Sr)O-sheets as well as into the CuO2-planes.  相似文献

To study a behavior of the thermal conductivity near Tc specific heat and thermal diffusivity of the YBa2Cu3O7−δ high-Tc ceramics were simultaneously measured. Close to Tc = 92.30 K the thermal diffusivity and the thermal conductivity discovered minima and the specific heat – maximum. Quantitative analysis of the influence of thermodynamical fluctuations showed the same power laws with Gaussian exponent equal to 0.5 and existing of crossover from the 3D Gaussian to 3D XY critical behavior in the specific heat and thermal conductivity at the approach to Tc. To explain the minimum in thermal conductivity at Tc we propose a mechanism of scattering of phonons on the superconducting fluctuations.  相似文献
