Magnetoelectric (ME) nanocomposites containing Ni0.75Co0.25Fe2O4-BiFeO3 phases were prepared by citrate sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed phase formation of xNi0.75Co0.25Fe2O4-(1−x)BiFeO3 (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4) composites on heating at 700 °C. Transmission electron microscopy revealed the formation of powders of nano order size and the crystal size was found to vary from 30 to 85 nm. Dispersion in dielectric constant (ε) and dielectric loss (tan δ) in the low-frequency range have been observed. It is seen that nanocomposites exhibit strong magnetic properties and a large ME effect. On increasing Ni0.75Co0.25Fe2O4 contents in the nanocomposites, the saturation magnetization (MS) and coercivity (HC) increased after annealing at 700 °C. The large ME output in the nanocomposites exhibits strong dependence on magnetic bias and magnetic field frequency. The large value of ME output can be attributed to small grain size of ferrite phase of nanocomposite being prepared by citrate precursor process.  相似文献

The nanocrystalline samples of La0.9Sr0.1MnO3 (LSMO) have been prepared by the combustion method. The thermo gravimetric analysis of precursor was carried out. The X-ray diffraction study confirms the rhombohedral crystal structure without any other impurity phases. The morphology and magnetic properties change with annealing temperature. The saturation magnetization increases linearly and coercivity of the nanoparticles varies significantly as annealing temperature increases. The maximum saturation magnetization and lower coercivity found for the sample heat treated at 1200 °C are 52.5 emu/g and 10.7 Oe respectively.  相似文献

The nanocrystalline Ni0.53Cu0.12Zn0.35Fe1.88O4 and BaTiO3 powders were prepared using Microwave-Hydrothermal (M-H) method at 160 °C/45 min. The as synthesized powders were characterized using the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The size of the powders that were synthesized using M-H system was found to be ∼30 and ∼50 nm for ferrite phase and ferroelectric phases, respectively. The powders were densified using microwave sintering method at 900 °C/30 min. The ferrite and ferroelectric phases were observed from XRD and morphology of the composites was observed with the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).The magnetic hysteresis loops were recorded using the Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM).The frequency dependence of real (μ′) and imaginary (μ″) parts of permeability was measured in the range of 1 MHz-1.8 GHz. The permeability decreases with an increase of BaTiO3 content at 1 MHz. The transition temperature (TC) of ferrite was found to be 245 °C. The TC of composite materials decreases with an increase in BaTiO3 content.  相似文献

Magnetic nanocomposites formed by cobalt ferrite particles dispersed in a silica matrix were prepared by a sol-gel process. The effects of the thermal treatment temperature and the salt concentration on the structural and magnetic properties of the composites were investigated. By controlling these parameters, CoFe2O4/SiO2 nanocomposites with different crystallite size and magnetic properties were obtained. By increasing the annealing temperature and salt concentration, composites with a progressive increase in the coercive field and of the density of magnetization were produced. In particular, a nanocomposite, with a Fe/Si molar concentration of 21%, obtained by drying the gel at 150 °C and further annealing at 800 °C, has a coercivity of 2000 Oe, which is more than twice higher than the coercivity of bulk cobalt ferrite.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline lithium ferrite (LiFe5O8) powders have been synthesized by oxalate precursor route. The effects of Fe3+/Li+ mole ratio, and annealing temperature on the formation, crystalline size, morphology and magnetic properties were systematically studied. The Fe3+/Li+ mole ratio was controlled from 5 to 3.33 while the annealing temperature was controlled from 600 to 1100 °C. The resultant powders were investigated by differential thermal analyzer (DTA), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). DTA results showed that LiFe5O8 phase started to form at around 520 °C. XRD indicated that LiFe5O8 phase always contained α-Fe2O3 impurity and the hematite phase formation increased by increasing the annealing temperature ?850 °C for different Fe3+/Li+ mole ratios 5, 4.55 and 3.85. Moreover, lithium ferrite phase was formed with high conversion percentage at critical annealing temperature 750–800 °C. Single well crystalline LiFe5O8 phase was obtained at Fe3+/Li+ mole ratio 3.33 and annealing temperatures from 800 to 1000 °C. Maximum saturation magnetization (68.7 emu/g) was achieved for the formed lithium ferrite phase at Fe3+/Li+ mole ratio 3.33 and annealing temperature 1000 °C.  相似文献

CoAl0.2Fe1.8O4/SiO2 nanocomposites were prepared by sol–gel method. The effects of annealing temperature on the structure and magnetic properties of the samples were studied by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometer and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The results show that the CoAl0.2Fe1.8O4 in the samples exhibits a spinel structure after being annealed. As annealing temperature increases from 800 to 1200 °C, the average grain size of CoAl0.2Fe1.8O4 in the nanocomposites increases from 5 to 41 nm while the lattice constant decreases from 0.8397 to 0.8391 nm, the saturation magnetization increases from 21.96 to 41.53 emu/g. Coercivity reaches a maximum of 1082 Oe for the sample annealed at 1100 °C, and thereafter decreases with further increasing annealing temperature. Mössbauer spectra show that the isomer shift decreases, hyperfine field increases and the samples transfer from mixed state of superparamagnetic and magnetic order to the completely magnetic order with annealing temperature increasing from 800 to 1200 °C.  相似文献

Magnetic nanocomposites consisting of cobalt ferrite nanoparticles embedded in silica matrix were prepared by the coprecipitation method using metallic chlorides as precursors for ferrite. Subsequently composites were annealed at 100, 200 and 300 °C for 2 h. The samples were structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The magnetic properties were measured in the temperature range of 10-300 K using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The effects of thermal treatment on structural and magnetic properties of nanocomposites were investigated. When the samples were annealed, CoFe2O4 nanocrystallites were observed in the SiO2 matrix, whose size increases with increase in annealing temperature. The coercivity and saturation magnetization of nanocomposite (annealed at 300 °C for 2 h) are much higher than that of bulk cobalt ferrite. The realization of adjustable particle sizes and controllable magnetic properties makes the applicability of the CoFe2O4 nanocomposite more versatile.  相似文献

TiO2 nanoparticles have been prepared by simple chemical precipitation method and annealed at different temperatures. The as-prepared TiO2 are amorphous, and they transform into anatase phase on annealing at 450 °C, and rutile phase on annealing at 900 °C. The X-ray diffraction results showed that TiO2 nanoparticles with grain size in the range of 21–24 nm for anatase phase and 69–74 nm for rutile phase have been obtained. FESEM images show the formation of TiO2 nanoparticles with small size in structure. The FTIR and Raman spectra exhibited peaks corresponding to the anatase and rutile structure phases of TiO2. Optical absorption studies reveal that the absorption edge shifts towards longer wavelength (red shift) with increase of annealing temperature.  相似文献

Effect of annealing on the soft magnetic properties of Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Au1 amorphous ribbon has been investigated by means of structure examination, magnetoimpedance ratio (MIR) and incremental permeability ratio (PR) spectra measured in the frequency range of 1–10 MHz at a fixed current of 10 mA X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the as-cast sample was amorphous and it became nanocrystalline under a proper heat treatment. When annealing amorphous alloy at 530 °C for 30, 60, 90 min, soft magnetic properties have been improved drastically. Among the samples investigated, the sample annealed at 530 °C for 90 min showed the softest magnetic behavior. The MIR and PR curves revealed the desirable changes in anisotropy field depending upon annealing.  相似文献

Nano-sized YAG:Tb powder phosphors were prepared by a solution-combustion method, using the general inorganic salts as starting materials. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements showed that the precursor can be well-crystallized at 900 °C. As-prepared particles have sizes mostly in the range between 30 and 100 nm as obtained by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transition electron microscope (TEM). Selected area electron diffraction (SAED) patterns proved that the larger particles are monocrystalline. The effects of annealing temperature and Tb-doping concentration on the luminescence intensity were studied.  相似文献

In this work zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanoparticles have been prepared by sol-gel method in two different media, one acidic and another one basic and then annealed at different temperatures from 350 to 800 °C. XRD investigations show that both samples have a single phase spinel structure. Mean crystallite sizes of the samples were calculated, using Scherrer’s formula, which are 13 and 16 nm for the samples prepared in acidic and basic media, respectively. The variation of cation distribution in the samples was estimated by the ratio of (2 2 0) and (2 2 2) intensity diffraction peaks and the results show that as-prepared nanoparticles have different ionic distributions in comparison with that of bulk zinc ferrite. Also the results show that by increasing annealing temperature the ionic distribution of the zinc ferrite nanoparticles tends to that of bulk sample. The magnetic properties of the samples were studied by VSM and the results show that zinc ferrite nanoparticles have a ferrimagnetic behavior. Also the morphology of the powders was examined by TEM.  相似文献

Ni0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4 ferrite nano-particles with a crystallite size of about 20 nm were prepared by the conventional hydrothermal method, followed by annealing in a microwave oven for 7.5-15 min. The microstructure and magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and vibrating sample magnetometry. The microwave annealing process has slight effect on the morphology and size of Ni0.6Zn0.4Fe2O4 ferrite nano-particles. However it reduces the lattice parameter and enhances the densification of the particles, and then greatly increases the saturation magnetization (50-56 emu/g) and coercive force of the samples as compared to the non-annealing condition. The microwave annealing process is an effective way to rapidly synthesize high performance ferrite nano-particle.  相似文献

Arrays of Fe61Co27P12 nanowire with an aspect ratio about 70 were prepared in anodic aluminum oxide templates by electrodeposition. The influences of annealing temperature on structure and magnetic properties of Fe61Co27P12 nanowires were studied. When the specimens were annealed below 400 °C, there are no obvious changes in structure except relaxation. With the annealing temperature increasing from 400 to 600 °C, the Fe-Co phase is detected by X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectra. The crystalline fraction and hyperfine field can be derived from Mössbauer spectra. The room temperature magnetic hysteresis loops show that the coercivity and squareness of the nanowire arrays in parallel to the wire axis increase with the increasing of annealing temperature, which mainly attributes to the strengthening of anisotropy.  相似文献

We have studied the microstructure and the magnetoresistivity of polycrystalline YBa2Cu3Oy (YBCO or Y-123 for brevity) embedded with nanoparticles of Y-deficient YBCO, generated by the planetary ball milling technique. Bulk samples were synthesized from a precursor YBCO powder, which was prepared from commercial high purity Y2O3, Ba2CO3 and CuO via a one-step annealing process in air at 950 °C. After planetary ball milling of the precursor, the powder was uniaxially pressed and subsequently annealed at 950 °C in air. Phase analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD), granular structure examination by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microstructure investigation by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) were carried out. TEM analyses show that nanoparticles of Y-deficient YBCO, generated by ball milling, are embedded in the superconducting matrix. Electrical resistance as a function of temperature, ρ(T), revealed that the zero resistance temperature, Tco, is 84.5 and 90 K for the milled and unmilled samples respectively. The milled ceramics exhibit a large magnetoresistance in weak magnetic fields at liquid nitrogen temperature. This attractive effect is of high significance as it makes these materials promising candidates for practical application in magnetic field sensor devices.  相似文献

Z-cut congruent LiNbO3 single crystals were annealed in 95%N2+5%H2 at high temperatures. X-ray diffraction showed that 2θ of (0 0 0 6) peak is obviously reduced by 0.6° and 1.0° for the samples annealed at 600 and 900 °C, respectively. A new peak appears at the high-energy side of O 1s spectrum in X-ray photoelelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses, and the leakage current is greatly increased. It is proposed that hydrogen is incorporated in LiNbO3 single crystals through forming gas annealing at temperatures up to 900 °C and exists in LiNbO3 as a proton bound to an oxygen ion through O-H bond with its electron donated.  相似文献

The preparation of ZnSn-substituted barium ferrite films by sputtering deposition was studied. The as-sputtered films were amorphous, and annealing at a minimum of 750 °C was required to crystallize the films, based on the X-ray diffraction analysis and the magnetic measurements. Scanning electron microscopy combined with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopic microanalysis confirmed that the films were single phase with the composition BaZnxSnxFe12−2xO19, x=0.2−0.3, and their thicknesses were 0.4-1.0 μm when annealed at 750-900 °C. Atomic and magnetic force microscopy studies showed no significant grain growth upon annealing and that the films consisted of single-domain grains forming interaction-cluster-type domains. The natural ferromagnetic resonance frequency was determined at around 4 GHz, together with substantial magnetic losses that make these films promising candidates for microwave absorbers.  相似文献

We doped Ho3+ in CoFe1.95Ho0.05O4 spinel ferrite by mechanical alloying and subsequent annealing at different temperatures (600-1200 °C). We understood the structural and magnetic properties of the samples using X-ray diffraction, SEM, Thermal analysis (TGA and DTA), and VSM measurement. The samples have shown structural stabilization within cubic spinel phase for the annealing temperature (TAN)≥800 °C. Thermal activated grain growth kinetics has been accompanied with the substantial decrease in lattice strain. The gain size dependent magnetism is evident from the variation of magnetic moment, remanent magnetization and coercivity of the material. The paramagnetic to ferrimagnetic transition temperature TC (∼805 K) seems to be grain size independent in the present material. The magnetic nanograins, either single domain/pseudo-single domain (50-64 nm) or multi-domain (above 64 nm) regime, showed superparamagnetic blocking below Tm, which is below TC (805 K) and also well above the room temperature.  相似文献

The effectiveness of nanoscale Dy2Fe14B thin films on coercivity and energy product of melt-spun ribbons of Nd2Fe14B at high temperatures was investigated. It is hypothesized that the nanoscale Dy-thin film will act as an obstacle for the nucleation of reverse domains and also maximize the energy of domain walls and thereby improve the magnetic performance at high temperatures. Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) of amorphous Dy2Fe14B layers on Nd2Fe14B melt-spun ribbons was performed for a nominal thickness of 40 nm. The coated ribbons were then annealed in environmentally controlled quartz furnace at two different cycles (750 °C for 15 min and 900 °C for 2 h) to cause crystallization. Magnetic hysteresis tests conducted at 300 and 400 K revealed that there is small but consistent improvement in the magnetic properties of the coated ribbons annealed at 750 °C for 15 min. However, higher temperature annealing (900 °C for 2 h) drastically reduced the magnetic properties. The incomplete recrystallization of amorphous structure at 750 °C for 15 min and large grain growth and formation of non-magnetic phases at 900 °C for 2 h are believed to be responsible for not meeting the expected magnetic performance.  相似文献

Single phase zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanoparticles have been prepared by the coprecipitation method without any subsequent calcination. The effects of precipitation temperature in the range 20–80 °C on the structural and the magnetic properties of zinc ferrite nanoparticles were investigated. The crystallite size, microstructure and magnetic properties of the prepared nanoparticles were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transmission infrared spectrum, transmission electron microscope (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer and vibrating sample magnetometer. The XRD results showed that the coprecipitated nanoparticles were single phase zinc ferrite with mixture of normal and inverse spinel structures. Furthermore, ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles have the crystallite size in the range 5–10 nm, as confirmed by TEM. The magnetic measurements exhibited that the zinc ferrite nanoparticles synthesized at 40 °C were superparamagnetic with the maximum magnetization of 7.3 emu/g at 10 kOe.  相似文献

The effects of milling time and annealing temperature on phase formation, microstructure and magnetic properties of nickel-cobalt ferrite synthesized from oxide precursors by mechanical alloying were studied. The study of milling time effects on phase formation of milled materials showed that if milling continues up to 55 h, single phase nano-sized nickel-cobalt ferrite is obtained. Also, magnetic properties of powders versus milling time and annealing at different temperatures extensively changed, so that annealing at 1200 °C increased the magnetization saturation of the as-milled powder from 15.1 to 53.6 emu/g. X-ray powder diffraction technique (XRD) with Cu-Ka radiation was employed for phase identification. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were also used to determine the morphology and size of the particles. The magnetic properties were measured by a vibration sample magnetometer (VSM).  相似文献
