Abstract

Two variants of partial least-squares methodology (PLS-1 and PLS-2) have been used for the analysis of ternary and quaternary mixtures of acetaminophen-acetylsalicylic acid-codeine and caffeine, respectively. This methodology permits the simultaneous quantification of the aforementioned drugs even with closely overlapping spectral bands without any separation step. The concentration ranges are 4.0–12.0, 0.2–1.0 and 4.0–12.0 μg·ml?1 for acetaminophen-acetylsalicylic acid-codeine and 10.0–20.0, 6.0–16.0, 1.0–5.0 and 0.2–1.0 μg·ml?1 for acetaminophen-acetylsalicylic acid-caffeine and codeine, respectively. A systematic study of the experimental data by applying an exhaustive statistical analysis to demostrate the validity of the proposed methods is presented. The results of the determination of these drugs in pharmaceutical preparations are also presented. The analytical results were quite good in all cases.  相似文献

A method has been developed for chemical control of a short-lived radiopharmaceutical,52Fe. The optimum conditions have been investigated for the simultaneous determination of microgram amounts of nickel, iron and chromium in an admixture. The method developed is applicable for the determination of 0.01 to 20 μg·ml?1 of nickel, 0.01 to 50 μg·ml?1 of iron and 0.05 to 50 μg·ml?1 of chromium. A study has been made of the mutual interference of these elements at different concentrations, and also of the interference by various other cations and anions. A list has been given of the other elements that can be analysed using the supporting electrolyte. A method of routine analysis is described.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, rapid, sensitive, and reproducible procedure for assaying norfloxacin (NOR), ciprofloxacin (CIP), and ofloxacin (OFL) was investigated. The procedure is based on the reaction of selected drugs with Sudan II (I), Congo red (II), and Gentian violet (III) in universal buffer to give soluble ion‐pair complexes. The effects of various parameters have been studied. Beer's law plots were obeyed in the concentration ranges 0.5–11 µg ml?1, whereas Ringbom optimum ranges were 0.7–9.5 µg ml?1. The apparent molar absorptivity (6.4×104 L mol?1 cm?1), Sandell sensitivity (4.99 ng cm?2), detection (0.13 µg ml?1), and quantification (0.44 µg ml?1) limits were calculated. The relative standard deviation for ten determinations, for samples containing 4.0 µg ml?1, was found to be 1.40%. The influence of commonly employed excipients in the determination of the studied drugs was examined. There was no interference from degradate product results from thermal and hydrolytic treatments. The results obtained by the proposed procedure were statistically validated. The developed procedure was successfully applied to the determination of the studied drugs in dosage forms and biological fluids.  相似文献

Abstract

A novel chemiluminescence method for the quantitative assay of the organophosphorus pesticide chlorpyrifos in vegetable samples is presented. The determination is based on the reaction of chlorpyrifos with luminol-H2O2 in alkaline medium with sodium chloride being enhancer. Under the optimum conditions, the increased CL intensity was proportional with the concentration of chlorpyrifos in the range of 1.0 × 10?8 g · ml?1 ? 1.0 × 10?6 g · ml?1 and the detection limit was 3.5 × 10?9 g · ml?1 (3σ). The relative standard is less than 3.9% for 5.0 × 10?7g · ml?1 chlorpyrifos (n = 7). This method has been successfully applied to the determination of chlorpyrifos residue in vegetable sample. Further study was focused on the mechanism of chlorpyrifos and the possible mechanism was proposed.  相似文献

Abstract

A post‐chemiluminescence (PCL) was observed when loperamide hydrochloride solution was injected into the reaction mixture after the finish of CL reaction of alkaline N‐Chlorosuccinimide (NCS) and dichlorofluorescein. Based on this phenomenon, a simple, sensitive and fast flow injection PCL method was established for the determination of loperamide hydrochloride. The possible mechanism for the PCL reaction was discussed via the investigation of the CL kinetic characteristics, the CL spectra, the fluorescence spectra. The PCL intensity responded linearly to the concentration of loperamide hydrochloride in the range 8.0×10?10 to 6.0×10?7 g · ml?1 with a linear correlation of 0.9995. The detection limit was 4×10?10 g · ml?1. The relative standard deviation was 2.4% for 4.0×10?8 g · ml?1 loperamide hydrochloride (n=11). This method has been applied to the determination of loperamide hydrochloride in human plasma and pharmaceutical samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Abstract

Sunset Yellow (SY), Carmoisine (C), Ponceau 4R (P), and Patent Blue V (PB) are synthetic organic dyes which are under governmental regulations all over the world because of their toxicity and carcinogenicity.

In this study, a simple and fast analytical procedure was proposed for the simultaneous determination of food dyes (SY, C, P, and PB) in powder drinks by means the partial least‐square treatment of spectrophotometric absorbance between 450 –730 nm, taken at 10 nm intervals. The experimental calibration matrix was constructed with 27 samples. The concentration ranges considered were 2, 3, 4 µg · ml?1 for SY, 7, 8, 9 µg · ml?1 for C, 9, 10, 11 µg · ml?1 for P, and 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 µg · ml?1 for PB. The method was applied to the determination of dyes in different commercially available powder drinks. The results obtained by the application of the PLS‐2 method were statistically compared with those obtained by an HPLC method using the F and t tests. Very similar values were found by two methods. No time consuming pretreatment was needed and this method also provides rapid, accurate and economical analysis of these colors.  相似文献

Abstract

1-Hydroxy-2-carboxyanthraquinone reacts with magnesium in ethanol-water mixtures to form a red complex having an absorption maximum at 490 nm in alkaline medium. A detailed study of the characteristics of this complex has been carried out and a spectrophotometric method for the determination of magnesium at the 0.4–4.0 μg ml?1 level is proposed. The method has been sensitized by employing first derivative spectrophotometry. By the use of the derivative approach magnesium can be determined between 0.08–0.40 μg ml?1. ABSTRACT

Four azo compounds based on diazotization of 2-aminobenzothiazole have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis as well as different spectroscopic techniques. The potentiality of the prepared compounds as new chromogenic reagents for the spectrophotometric determination of Mo6+ was studied by extensive investigation of optimum conditions favouring the formation of the coloured complexes. Beers law is obeyed in the concentration range 0.2-8.5 μg ml?1 whereas Ringbom optimum concentration range was 0.8-7.5 μg ml?1. The detection limit was 0.05 μg ml?1. The molar absorptivity and Sandell sensitivity of the formed complexes are calculated. The effect of interfering ions on the determination of Mo6+ was investigated. The relative standard deviations for six replicate determinations of 5.0 μg ml?1 of Mo6+ are 1.23, 1.47, 1.05 and 1.38 % using reagents I, II, III and IV, respectively. The proposed method has been applied to investigate the amount of Mo6+ in human urine samples. The molybdenum levels found between 0.5-2.1 μg/100 ml.  相似文献

Abstract

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of mercury(II) and palladium(II) by first-derivative spectrophotometry based on the absorption spectra of their complexes with 5-(3,4-Methoxyhydroxyphenylmethylene)-2-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidine [5-(3,4-methoxyhydroxybenzylidene) rhodanine]. Zero-crossing measurement technique is found suitable for the measurement of the first-derivative value at the specified wavelengths. Mercury(II) (0.4-1.4 μg ml?1) and palladium(II) (0.08 - 1.8 μg ml?1) in different ratios have been determined simultaneously. A critical evaluation of the proposed method is performed by statistical analysis of the experimental data.  相似文献

Abstract

Two spectrophotometric methods involve the formation of two different ion pairs between the drug and inorganic complexes, Mo(V) and Co(II) thiocyanates followed by their extraction with dichlor?methane and o-nitrotoluene, respectively. The optimum conditions for the ion pair formation are established. The methods permit the determination of metoclopramide and oxybuprocaine hydrochlorides over a concentration range of 1-20 μg ml?1 and 20–240 μg ml?1 using Mo(V) and Co(II) thiocyanates, respectively. Molar ratio of drug to Mo(V) or Co(II) indicates a 2:1 ratio for the two drugs studied in the presence of excess thiocyanate concentration. Results of the analysis of drug substances and their dosage forms by the proposed methods are in good agreement with those obtained by the official methods.  相似文献

Abstract

Based on the fact that nonionic surfactant polyethylene glycol-400 (PEG-400) catalyzed the chemiluminescence of luminol-H2O2 system, a novel and simple chemiluminescence method has been developed for the determination of PEG-400. Under the optimal conditions, the standard curve was Y = 198835X–2091.8, where the correlation coefficient (R) was 0.9999. The detection limit was 4 × 10?5 g·ml?1 PEG-400 and the linear range was 1.0 × 10?4–4.0 × 10?2g·ml?1. The relative standard deviation was 3.2% at 2.0 × 10?3 g·ml?1 PEG-400 (n = 7). This method has been applied to the determination of PEG-400 in cosmetic samples with satisfactory results. Furthermore, the dynamics characteristic curve of PEG-400 in luminol-H2O2 system was compared to typical metallic ion and other surfactants. Moreover, the mechanism of the luminol-H2O2-PEG-400 chemiluminescence system was studied, assisted by fluorescence spectra and UV spectra.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A simple and sensitive extraction-spectrophotometric method for the determination of barium and potassium is reported. The 18C6-Barium-Orange II (18C6-Ba-(OR II)2) and 18C6-Potassium-Orange II (18C6-K-OR II) ternary complexes are quantitatively extracted into dichloromethane and their absorbances are measured at 483 nm. Linear calibration graphs were obtained over the barium concentration range of 0.1-5 μg ml?1 and potassium concentration range of 1-8 μg ml?1. The relative standard deviation for 2.0 μg ml?1 barium and pottasium are, respectively, 4.16% and 3.60%. The interfering effect of a large number of diverse ions on the determination of barium and potassium was studied. The method was applied to a synthetic sample with natural matrix effects of tap water and the results showed high potential of the recommended method for the determination of Ba and K in water samples.  相似文献

Abstract

A effective and simple determination of poisonous trace element thallium(I) by means of kinetic catalytic reaction is proposed. The method is based on a catalytic effect of thallium(I) on a luminol-hydrogen peroxide system. Three different kinds of surfactants, cetrimonium bromide (CTMAB), sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS), and Tween-80, are also investigated to improve the detection sensitivity. In optimum conditions, a highly selective and sensitive method for detecting trace thallium(I) has been established. The detection limit is 0.0073 µg · mL?1, the relative standard deviation for six determinations of 0.04 µg · mL?1 thallium(I) is less than 4.0%, and the linear range of determination is 0.02–0.1 µg · mL?1.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A new flow-injection CL method was developed for the determination of fluoroquinolones including ofloxacin, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin and lomefloxacin in pharmaceutical preparations, based on the chemiluminescence reaction of sulphite with cerium(IV) sensitized by these compounds. The linear ranges are 0.04 to 4.0 μg ml?1 for ofloxacin and 0.4 to 40.0 μg ml?1 for norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin and lomefloxacin, respectively. The detection limits are 0.016 μg ml?1 for ofloxacin and 0.16 μg ml ?1 for norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin and lomefloxacin, respectively. The relative standard deviations (RSD) are 2.1 to 2.6% (n=10) for these fluoroquinolones. The analytical procedure has been applied to the determination of the fluoroquinolones in pharmaceutical commercial formulations. The results are in agreement with those obtained by the official methods.  相似文献

Abstract

A simple, rapid, selective, and sensitive method for the derivative spectrophotometric determination of Hg(II) and its simultaneous determination in the presence of Zn(II) using 2‐(5‐bromo‐2‐pyridylazo)‐5‐diethylaminophenol in the presence of cetylpyridinium chloride, a cationic surfactant, has been developed. The molar absorption coefficient and analytical sensitivity of the 1∶1 Hg(II) complex at 558 nm (λmax) are 5.78×104 L mol?1 cm?1 and 0.67 ng mL?1, respectively. The detection limit of Hg(II) is 1.40×10?2 ng mL?1, and Beer's law is valid in the concentration range 0.05–2.40 µg mL?1. Overlapping spectral profiles of Hg(II) and Zn(II) complexes in zero‐order mode interfere in their simultaneous determination. However, 0.10–2.00 µg mL?1 of Hg(II) and 0.065–0.650 µg mL?1 of Zn(II), when present together, can be simultaneously determined at zero cross point of the derivative spectrum, without any prior separation. The relative standard deviation for six replicate measurements of solutions containing 0.134 µg mL?1 of Hg(II) and 0.620 µg mL?1 of Zn(II) is 1.72 and 1.47%, respectively. The proposed method has successfully been evaluated for trace level simultaneous determination of Hg(II) and Zn(II) in environmental samples.  相似文献

Abstract

A new sensitive, selective, rapid, and reproducible method is presented for the analysis of trace amounts of molybdenum (VI) (Mo(VI)). The method is based on the reaction of molybdenum (VI) with a new analytical reagent, 6‐(5‐Chloro‐2‐hydroxy‐4‐sulfophenylazo)‐5‐hydroxy‐1‐naphthalenesulfonic acid, disodium salt. Under optimum reaction conditions, molybdenum (VI) forms a red complex with a maximum absorption peak at 589 nm. The color reaction is rapidly completed at room temperature. The apparent molar absorption coefficient and Sandell sensitivity were 1.13×104 L · mol?1 · cm?1 and 0.0084 µg · cm?2, respectively. Beer's law was obeyed up to 8.5 µg · mL?1. Methods for the determination of Mo(VI) by first‐derivative spectrophtometry have also been proposed at 547 and 625 nm. The proposed methods offer the advantages of sensitivity, rapidity, selectivity, and simplicity without any prior separation or extraction. The methods have been applied to the determination of Mo(VI) in various environmental samples and some alloys; satisfactory results have been obtained.  相似文献

Abstract

Two flow-injection methods for the determination of 4-aminobiphenyl by amperometry (glassy carbon electrode) and spectrophotometry are proposed. A sample volume of 200 or 400 μl containing an analyte concentration of 0.1–1.0 μg ml?1 or 0.8–24.0 μg ml?1 for amperometric or spectrophotometric detection, respectively, is injected into a carrier stream containing 0.04 or 0.02 M Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 10.0 or 8.0, respectively.

The throughput thus achieved is 200 (amperometry) and 240 samples/h (spectrophotometry) and the relative standard deviation less than 2.5% and 4.2% respectively.

Both methods were applied to the determination of 4-aminobiphenyl in commercially available, legally permitted food colouring additive.  相似文献

Abstract

Catalyzed determination of glucose with mimic glucose oxidase is constructed by the reaction of β‐cyclodextrin, maleic anhydride, and chloroacetic acid with iron trichloride in hydrogen peroxide. The method is simple and convenient, and sensitivity and repeatability are ideal. Beer's law is obeyed in a concentration range of 30–197 µg · ml?1 glucose with an excellent correlation coefficient (r=0.9994), while the detection limit is 4.10 µg · ml?1, the RSD is 0.98% (n=8). Abstract

Alternative current polarography has been applied to indomethacin determination in serum, after dichloromethan extraction at pH 3.0. Solvent is evaporated and the residue submited to hydrolysis by NaOH. The indole derivative obtained is nitrosated by nitrous acid at pH 3,5. The indole-nitrosamine formed is measured by polarography at pH 1,3 and compared with an added quantity of the pure nitrosated product. Abstract

Palladium(II) forms 1:1 and 1:4 complexes with allyl thiourea. The molar composition of the complexes was determined by molar-ratio and continuous variation methods and confirmed by means of elemental analysis of the compounds isolated from solution.

Conformity to Beer's law was observed for up to 12 μg ml?1 of 4 palladium in strongly acidic medium (molar absorptivity 2.28×104 1 mol?1 cm?1 at 292 nm);the Sandell's sensitivity of the reaction for palladium is 0.0047 μg cm?2 per 0.001 absorbance unit.

The tolerance of the system to platinum metals and other common cations is satisfactory.

A statistical evaluation of the analytical procedure of palladium determination has been undertaken.

The infrared spectra of allyl thiourea and of its 1:1 and 1:4 palladium complexes have been measured in the 2.5–50μ region. The absorption bands have been assigned. The spectra reveal that allyl thiourea forms sulphur-to-metal bonds only, rather than nitrogen-to-metal bonds in the complexes studied.  相似文献
