A dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) method for separation/preconcentration of ultra trace amounts of Co(II) and its determination with FAAS was developed. The DLLME behavior of Co(II) using Aliquat 336-chloride as ion pairing agent was systematically investigated. The factors influencing the ion pair formation and extraction by DLLME method were optimized. Under the optimized conditions for 150 µL of extraction solvent (carbon tetrachloride), 1.5 mL disperser solvent (acetonitrile) and 5 mL of sample, the enrichment factor was 30. The detection limit was 5.6 µg L?1 and the RSD for replicate measurements of 1 mg L?1 was 1.32 %. The calibration graph using the preconcentration system for cobalt was linear from 40 to 400 µg L?1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The proposed method was successfully applied for determination of cobalt in black tea, paprika and marjoram real samples.  相似文献

Unmodified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were demonstrated as hydrophobic sorbent material for flow injection on-line microcolumn preconcentration coupled with flame atomic absorption spectrometry for cadmium determination in natural water samples. The method was based on on-line chelate complex formation between the analyte with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate and retention onto the surface of MWCNTs. Quantitative elution of the analyte was achieved with methanol which was whereupon delivered to the FAAS nebulizer for atomization and measurement. The microcolumn was packed with a mixture of MWCNTs and silica beads in order to minimize the generated back-pressure in the flow system which arises from the nano dimensions of MWCNTs. All factors affecting the performance of the proposed method were studied thoroughly. For a 180 s preconcentration time the enhancement factor was 54, the detection limit (3s) was 0.24 µg L?1, and the precision as relative standard deviation at a 5.0 µg L?1 Cd(II) concentration level was 3.2%. The method was applied to the analysis of environmental water samples and the accuracy evaluated via certified reference material and recovery experiments.  相似文献

A flow injection on-line preconcentration system was developed for the determination of lead by hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HG-AFS). It is based on a simple micro-column filled with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The preconcentration of lead on the MWCNTs was carried out based on the adsorptive retention of analyte via on-line introducing the sample into the micro-column system. A 0.3 mol L?1 HNO3 was introduced to elute the retained analyte and merged with KBH4 solution for HG-AFS detection. Under the optimal experimental conditions, an enhancement factor of 26 was obtained with a sample consumption of 14.4 mL. The limit of detection was 2.8 ng L?1 and the precision (RSD) of 11 replicate measurements of 0.2?μg L?1 Pb was 4.4%. The method was validated by analyzing three certified reference materials, and was successfully applied to the determination of trace lead in natural water samples.  相似文献

In the present study, the ?5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanin-modified SBA-15? was applied as stable solid sorbent for the separation and preconcentration of trace amounts of cobalt ions in aqueous solution. SBA-15 was modified by ?5-(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)rhodanin reagent. The sorption of Co2+ ions was done onto modified sorbent in the pH range of 6.8–7.9 and desorption occurred in 5.0 mL of 3.0 mol L?1 HNO3. The results exhibit a linear dynamic range from 0.01 to 6.0 mg L?1 for cobalt. Intra-day (repeatability) and inter-day (reproducibility) for 10 replicated determination of 0.06 mg L?1 of cobalt was ±1.82% and ?±1.97%?. Detection limit was 4.2 µg L?1 (3Sb, n = 5) and preconcentration factor was 80. The effects of the experimental parameters, including the sample pH, flow rates of sample and eluent solution, eluent type and interference ions were studied for the preconcentration of Co2+. The proposed method was applied for the determination of cobalt in standard samples, water samples and agricultural products.  相似文献

Solidified floating organic drop microextraction was applied as a separation/preconcentration step prior to the electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometric (ETAAS) determination of ultra trace of antimony species. The method was based on the formation of an extractable complex between Sb(III) and ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate at pH ~ 5, while Sb(V) was remained in the aqueous phase. The antimony extracted into 1-undecanol was determined by ETAAS. Total antimony was determined after the reduction of Sb(V) to Sb(III) with potassium iodide and ascorbic acid. The amount of Sb(V) was determined from the difference of concentration of total antimony and Sb(III). Under the optimum conditions an enhancement factor of 437.5 and a detection limit of 5.0 ng L?1for the preconcentration of 25 mL of sample was achieved. The relative standard deviation at 300 ng L?1 of antimony was found to be 3.5 % (n = 6). The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of antimony in tea, basil and natural water samples.  相似文献

A simple, sensitive and reliable method has been developed for separation and preconcentration of chromium (VI) from aqueous samples before determination by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The method is based on the extraction of the hydrophobic complex of chromium (VI) with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate in the coacervates made up of decanoic acid reverse micelles in the water–tetrahydrofuran mixture. Parameters affecting the extraction efficiency of the analyte were studied and optimised. Under the optimum conditions, the linear range, enhancement factor, the limit of detection and limit of quantification were found to be 0.008–0.4 µg L?1, 127, and 1.8 ng L?1 and 6.0 ng L?1, of Cr(VI), respectively. The relative standard deviation at the concentration level of 0.1 µg L?1 Cr(VI) (n = 6) was 4.2%. Total chromium was determined after the oxidation of Cr(III) to Cr(VI) with permanganate in acidic medium. The method was successfully applied to the determination of chromium species in water and human serum samples.  相似文献

The supramolecular solvent system consists of tetrahydrofuran (THF) and 1-decanol, that was used as an extraction solvent for a microextraction procedure for the preconcentration and separation of Co(II). The proposed supramolecular-based procedure was combined with microsampling flame atomic absorption spectrometry for the determination of cobalt at trace levels in water samples. N-Benzoyl-N,N-diisobutylthiourea was used to chelate Co(II) in an aqueous solution. Quantitative extraction efficiency was obtained at pH 6.5. The effects of analytical parameters including pH, amount of ligand, type, ratio and volume of supramolecular solvent, sample volume and interfering ions were investigated for optimisation of the procedure. The proposed supramolecular solvent-based microextraction procedure (Ss-ME) exhibits a limit of detection (LOD) of 1.29 µg L?1 and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 3.88 µg L?1. The procedure was validated by addition/recovery tests and by applying TMDA 64.2 and TMDA 53.3 water certified reference materials. The microextraction method was successfully applied for the preconcentration and determination of cobalt in water samples.  相似文献

In this work, magnetic solid-phase extraction based on sodium dodecyl sulfate-coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles has been successfully applied for extraction and preconcentration of trace amounts of nystatin from water and vaccine samples prior to high-performance liquid chromatography–ultraviolet detection. Various experimental parameters affecting extraction and recovery of the analyte, such as the amount of sodium dodecyl sulfate, pH of the sample solution, salt concentration, extraction time, sample volume and desorption conditions, were systematically studied and optimized. Under optimized conditions, nystatin was quantitatively extracted. Proper linear range with good coefficient of determination, (R 2 > 0.99) and limit of detection and quantification (based on signal-to-noise ratios of 3 and 10) of 2.0 and 5.0 µg L?1, over the investigated concentration range (5–700 µg L?1), were obtained, respectively. The intra-day and inter-day relative standard deviations at 50 µg L?1 level of NYS were 1.4 and 4.5% based on six replicate determinations. The accuracy of the method was evaluated by recovery measurements on spiked samples. Suitable recoveries of 96–102 and 26–44% were achieved (at spiked levels of 50, 300 and 500 µg L?1) for water and vaccine samples, respectively.  相似文献

A preconcentration methodology utilizing the cloud point phenomenon is described for the determination of copper by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The reagent Sulfathiazolylazo resorsin was used as a complexing agent. The preconcentration factor of 25-fold was obtained. The calibration curve is linear in the range of 4–400 µ g L?1 with a limit of detection of 0.64 µ g L?1. The relative standard deviation (n = 5, 12 µ g L?1) was 3.5%. The cloud point is formed in the presence of phenol at room temperature. The method was successfully applied to the determination of copper in water samples and a standard reference material.  相似文献

A selective separation and preconcentration method for the determination of gold ions in water and ore samples has been developed using dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction, followed by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. 4-Ethyl-1(2-(4-(4-nitrophenyl)piperazin-1-yl)acetyl)thiosemicarbazide) (NPPTSC) has been used for the first time as new chelating reagent. A mixture of ethanol (dispersive solvent) and carbon tetrachloride (extraction solvent) was used. Some parameters affecting the extraction procedure including the type and volume of the extracting and dispersive solvents, HNO3 concentration, the chelating agent amount, volume of sample, and foreign ions have optimized. Also, the complex formation between gold ions and the ligand has been investigated in a methanol–water solution (1:1) using UV–visible spectrometry. The spectrophotometric titration data showed that of Au–NPPTSC complex composition was found to be 3:2. After optimizing the instrumental and experimental parameters, we achieved a detection limit of 1.5 µg L?1, a preconcentration factor of 50, and a linear dynamic range of 10.0–400.0 µg L?1. The relative standard deviation obtained 2.1% at 50 µg L?1 for gold ions (n = 10). The proposed method was successfully performed for the determination of gold in certified reference material, environmental water, and ore samples.  相似文献

Abstract

The application of bismuth film electrodes to the determination of cobalt by constant current adsorptive stripping potentiometry with exploitation of a catalytic effect is presented. The addition of NaNO2 to the solution containing ammonia buffer and dimethylglyoxime results in a 25‐fold enhancement of the adsorptive stripping potentiometric cobalt signal. Several key parameters of the potentiometric stripping mode were optimized, including the composition of the supporting electrolyte, the stripping current, the accumulation potential, and the accumulation time. The optimized procedure yields favorable and highly stable stripping responses with good precision (RSD=1.4% for a Co concentration of 2 µg L?1), low detection limit (0.07 µg L?1), and good linearity (up to 10 µg L?1, R2=0.998) with a deposition time of 60 s and a stripping current of 10 µA. The method enables the determination of Co in the presence of high excesses of Ni or Zn.  相似文献

1-(2-pryidylazo)-2-naphthol (PAN) immobilized on sodium dodecyl sulfate-coated nano alumina was developed for the preconcentration and determination of metal cations Co (II) from environmental and food samples. The research results displayed that adsorbent has the highest adsorption capacity for Co (II) in this system. Desorption by elution of the adsorbent with 2.0?ml of a mixture of nitric acid and ethanol was carried out. After phase separation, the enriched analyte in the final solution is determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) by using a micro sample introduction system. Analytical influencing parameters including pH value, amount of sorbent, equilibrium time, sample volume, volume and concentration of eluent were examined. The effect of common matrix ions has also been investigated and it was found that they had no influence on cobalt preconcentration. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the maximum capacity of sorbent was obtained as 20?mg?g?1. The preconcentration factor and limit of detection were found to be 250 and 0.15?µg?L?1, respectively. This method showed good precision with the relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.4% and 2.1% in concentrations of 20 and 50?µg?L?1, respectively. The accuracy of the method was evaluated by comparison of results with those obtained by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. This method was successfully applied for preconcentration and determination of Co (II) in environmental and food samples.  相似文献

The present paper describes the feasibility of on-line preconcentration of nickel ions from aqueous medium on Ni(II)-imprinted cross-linked poly(methacrylic acid) (IIP) synthesised through a double-imprinting method and their subsequent determination by FAAS. The proposed method consisted in loading the sample (20.0 mL, pH 7.25) through a mini-column packed with 50 mg of the IIP for 2 min. The elution step was performed with 1.0 mol L?1 HNO3 at a flow rate of 7.0 mL min?1. The following parameters were obtained: quantification limit (QL) – 3.74 µg L?1, preconcentration factor (PF) – 36, consumption index (CI) – 0.55 mL, concentration efficiency (CE) – 18 min?1, and sample throughput – 25 h?1. The precision of the procedure assessed in terms of repeatability for ten determinations was 5.6% and 2.5% for respective concentrations of 5.0 and 110.0 µg L?1. Moreover, the analytical curve was obtained in the range of 5.0–180.0 µg L?1 (r = 0.9973), and a 1.64-fold increase in the method sensitivity was observed when compared with the analytical curve constructed for the NIP (non-imprinted polymer), thus suggesting a synergistic effect of the Ni(II) ions and CTAB on the adsorption properties of the IIP. The practical application of the adsorbent was evaluated from an analysis of tap, mineral, lake and river water. Considering the results of addition and recovery experiments (90.2–100 %), the efficiency of this adsorbent can be ensured for the interference-free preconcentration of the Ni(II) ions.  相似文献

A solid phase extraction method based on graphene oxide (GO) modified with magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles was developed for the preconcentration and determination of trace amounts of cadmium, copper and nickel ions. The adsorbed analytes were eluted by 4.0 mL of 0.1 M (EDTA) and injected to flame atomic absorption spectrometer. The factors influencing the complex formation and extraction of these heavy metals were optimized. Studies on potential interference by various anions and cations showed the method to be highly selective. The preconcentration factor was about 11 with relative standard deviation of <4.0 for 8 replication determination. The detection limits for the Cd, Cu, Ni were found to be 0.5, 3.4 and 25 µg L?1, respectively. The method was successfully applied for the determination of cadmium, copper and nickel in tap water, well water, sea water, rice and macaroni samples with spike recoveries ranging 93–105 %.  相似文献

In the existing study, a new vortex-assisted cloud point extraction (VA-CPE) method was developed for determination of low levels of thiosulfate in environmental waters at 632 nm by spectrophotometry. The method is selectively based on charge-transfer-sensitive ion-pair complex formation of Ag(S2O3)2 3?, which is produced by the reaction of thiosulfate with excess Ag+ ions with toluidine blue (3-amino-7-dimethylamino-2-methylphenazathionium chloride, TB+) and then its extraction into micellar phase of polyethylene glycol 4-tert-octylphenyl ether (Triton X-45) in presence of Na2SO4 as salting-out agent at pH 7.0. All the factors affecting complex formation and VA-CPE efficiency were optimized in detail. Under the optimized conditions, the linear calibration curves for thiosulfate were in the range of 0.2–120 and 5–180 µg L?1 with sensitivity improvement of 81-folds and 15-folds, respectively, as a result of efficient mass transfer obtained by CPE with and without vortex, while it changed in the range of 260–3600 µg L?1 without preconcentration at 642 nm. The limits of detection and quantification of the method for VA-CPE were found to be 0.05 and 0.22 µg L?1, respectively. The precision (expressed as the percent relative standard deviation) was in range of 2.5–4.8% (5, 10 and 25 µg L?1, n: 5). The method accuracy was validated by comparing the results to those of an independent 5,5′-dithiobis(2-aminobenzoic acid) (DTNB) method as well as recovery studies from spiked samples. It has been observed that the results are statistically in a good agreement with those obtained by DTNB method. Finally, the method developed was successfully applied to the preconcentration and determination of trace thiosulfate from environmental waters.  相似文献

In this work functionalised mesoporous silica spheres have been utilised for the simultaneous preconcentration of nickel and cobalt. The silica spheres (SiSPs) prepared by the sol-gel method were functionalised with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC-SiSPs). They were characterised by SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, CHN and nitrogen adsorption. The adsorption efficiency of DDTC-SiSPs was examined by batch equilibrium technique. The DDTC-SiSPs showed 100% adsorption for Ni (II) and Co (II). The effect of changing variables such as pH, shaking time, sample volume, preconcentration factor, eluent type and volume were investigated so as to obtain maximum recovery with high selectivity over interfering ions. The maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 15.15 mg g?1 and 11.80 mg g?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively using DDTC-SiSPs. 100% recovery was achieved with 5 mL of 2 M HNO3. The maximum preconcentration factor was 400 and the 3σ limits of detection were 0.201 µg L?1 and 0.198 µg L?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively. Thermodynamic studies showed that adsorption of Ni (II) and Co (II) on DDTC-SiSPs is exothermic with enthalpy changes of –0.514 KJ mol?1 and –0.854 KJ mol?1 for Ni (II) and Co (II) respectively. The method was applied to the preconcentration and determination of Ni (II) and Co (II) from tap, river and sea water.  相似文献

The enrichment ability of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was investigated and a new method established for the determination of trace thallium species in environmental samples using electrothermal atomization-atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). The CNTs were employed as sorbent substrate in a continuous flow system coupled to ETAAS. Parameters influencing the recoveries of thallium were optimized. Under optimal conditions, the detection limit and precision of the method were 0.009 µg L?1 and 3.9%, respectively. The method was applied to the determination of thallium in real environmental samples and the recoveries were in the range from 96 to 100%. This system was able to separate thallium (I) from the matrix, which allowed its selective determination. The total thallium content was then determined by reducing Tl(III) with hydroxylamine. All these experimental results indicated that this new procedure can be applied to the determination of trace thallium in drinking water samples.  相似文献

A novel automatic sequential injection (SI) single-drop micro-extraction (SDME) system is proposed as versatile approach for on-line metal preconcentration and/or separation. Coupled to electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) the potentials of this SI scheme are demonstrated for trace cadmium determination in water samples. A non-charged complex of cadmium with ammonium diethyldithiophosphate (DDPA) was produced and extracted on-line into a 60 μL micro-drop of di-isobutyl ketone (DIBK). The extraction procedure was performed into a newly designed flow-through extraction cell coupled on a sequential injection manifold. As the complex Cd(II)-DDPA flowed continuously around the micro-droplet, the analyte was extracting into the solvent micro-drop. All the critical parameters were optimized and offered good performance characteristics and high preconcentration ratios. For 600 s micro-extraction time, the enhancement factor was 10 and the sampling frequency was 6 h−1. The detection limit was 0.01 μg L−1 and the precision (RSD at 0.1 μg L−1 of cadmium) was 3.9%. The proposed method was evaluated by analyzing certified reference material.  相似文献

An on-line scandium preconcentration and determination method was developed with spectrophotometer associated with flow injection. Scandium from aqueous sample solution of pH 4.5 was selectively retained in the minicolumn containing XAD-4 resin impregnated with nalidixic acid at a flow rate of 11.8 mL min?1 as scandium–nalidixic acid complex. The scandium complex was desorbed from the resin by 0.1 mol L?1 HCl at a flow rate of 3.2 mL min?1 and mixed with arsenazo-III solution (0.05 % solution in 0.1 mol L?1 HCl, 3.2 mL min?1) and taken to the flow through cell of spectrophotometer where its absorbance was measured at 640 nm. The preconcentration factors obtained were 35 and 155; detection limits of 1.4 and 0.32 μg L?1 and sample throughputs of 40 and 11 were obtained for preconcentration time of 60 and 300 s, respectively. The tolerance limits of many interfering cations like Th(IV), U (VI), rare-earths and anions like tartrate, citrate, oxalate and fluoride were improved. The method was successfully applied to the determination of scandium from mock seawater samples and good recovery was obtained. The method was also validated on certified reference material IAEA-SL-1 (lake sediment) and the result was in good agreement with the reported value.  相似文献

Fast and sensitive method of prednisolone determination at renewable mercury film electrode using differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV) was successfully developed. The effects of various factors such as: preconcentration potential and time, pulse height, step potential and supporting electrolyte composition were optimized. A linear voltammetric response for analyte was obtained in the concentration range from 0.05 µmol L−1 (18 µg L−1) to 2.25 µmol L−1 (0.81 mg L−1), with a detection limit of 0.01 µmol L−1 for preconcentration time of 20 s. Repeatability of method was determined as RSD % for prednisolone concentration of 0.04 µmol L−1 as 1.6 % (n=9). The proposed method was successfully applied and validated by recovery parameter of prednisolone in simulated sample and pharmaceutical product.  相似文献
