Two similar tetranuclear copper(II) complexes with the formulae [Cu4(L1)21,1-N3)42-CH3COO)2] and [Cu4(L2)21,1-N3)2(μ-Br)2Br2(CH3OH)2], where L1 and L2 are the deprotonated forms of 2-[(2-ethylaminoethylimino)methyl]-5-methoxyphenol and 5-methoxy-2-[(2-piperidin-1-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol, respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both complexes are centrosymmetric tetranuclear copper(II) compounds. The bridging groups in [Cu4(L1)21,1-N3)42-CH3COO)2] are μ1,1-azide ligands and μ2-acetate ligands, and those in [Cu4(L2)21,1-N3)2(μ-Br)2Br2(CH3OH)2] are μ1,1-azide ligands and μ-bromide ligands. Each Cu atom in the complexes is in a square pyramidal geometry.  相似文献

The synthesis and X-ray structural characterisation of a new Cu(II) complex, [Cu(L1)Cl](ClO4)·CH3OH (1) [L1 = N,N′-bis((pyridine-2-yl)phenylidene)-1,3-diaminopropan-2-ol], has been described in this work. The structural study reveals that the Cu(II) centre in 1 has a square pyramidal geometry with a trigonality index τ = 0.43, being coordinated by the organic ligand and a chloro group. The interaction of complex 1 and another complex previously reported by our group, [Cu(L2)](ClO4)2 (2) [L2 = N-(1-pyridin-2-yl-phenylidene)-N′-[2-({2-[(1-pyridin-2-ylphenylidene)amino]ethyl}amino)ethyl]ethane-1,2diamine], with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) has been investigated using absorption and emission spectral studies. The binding constant (Kb) and the linear Stern-Volmer quenching constant (Ksv) have been determined.  相似文献

A reaction between VOSO4, 2,6-diacetylpyridine, and nicotinohydrazide in a molar ratio of 1: 1: 2 afforded two complexes differing in both color and crystal shape as well as in chemical composition and molecular structure. The compositions and structures of the vanadium complexes were determined by IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (CIF files CCDCnos. 1411235 (I) and 1411236 (II)). These complexes can be formulated as [V 2 II (H2L)2](NO3)4 ? H2O (I) and [VIV(=O)(H2L)(SO4)] ? 5H2O (II), where H2L is 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(nicotinylhydrazone). Complex I consists of centrosymmetric dinuclear complex cations [V2(H2L)2]4+, NO 3 - anions, and crystal water molecules in a ratio of 1: 4: 1; complex II is built from molecular V(IV) complexes and crystal water molecules in a ratio of 1: 5. The coordination polyhedron of the metal atom in I is a tetragonal pyramid made up of the electron-donating atoms N3O2 of two ligands H2L. The coordination polyhedron of the metal atom in II is a pentagonal bipyramid made up of the electron-donating atoms N3O2 of one neutral five-coordinate ligand H2L and two O atoms coming from the oxo ligand and the SO 4 2- anion coordinated in a monodentate fashion.  相似文献

2,6-Diacetylpyridine bis(benzenesulfonohydrazide) Schiff bases (L1, L2 and L3) and their Cu(II) complexes of the general formula [CuL·H2O] were synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. The crystal structure of [CuL3·(py)]·py was investigated by single crystal X-ray structure analysis. The Cu(II) cation has near square pyramidal, penta-coordinate geometry. The binegatively charged tetradentate Schiff base is asymmetrically coordinated to the Cu(II) ion via the pyridine N atom, the azomethine N atom, the sulfonyl O atom and the deprotonated hydrazine N atom. There is a pyridine molecule apically coordinated to the Cu(II) ion. All the Schiff bases and their copper(II) complexes were screened by the disc diffusion method against multi-drug resistant (MDR) gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values were also determined. These results show that the antibacterial activity of the Schiff bases against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is enhanced when they are chelated with the copper(II) ion.  相似文献

MeOH (I) and [Zn(L2)2] (II) (L1 = 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2-ethylammonioethylimino)methyl]phenolate; L2 = 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-(isopropyliminomethyl)phenolate), have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared and UV-Vis spectroscopy, and single-cyrstal X-ray diffraction (CIF files CCDC nos. 1408962 (I), 1408961 (II)). Complex I crystallizes in the triclinic space group \(P\overline 1\) with unit cell dimensions a = 9.859(1), b = 13.015(2), c = 19.817(3) Å, α = 73.591(2)°, β = 76.032(2)°, γ = 82.966(2)°, V = 2363.0(5) Å3, Z = 4, R 1 = 0.0925, and wR 2 = 0.2257. Complex II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with unit cell dimensions a = 7.6387(7), b = 22.307(2), c = 21.443(2) Å, β = 96.216(3)°, V = 3632.4(6) Å3, Z = 8, R 1 = 0.0651, and wR 2 = 0.1100. The both Zn atoms in I is four-coordinated in a tetrahedral geometry by the NO donor set of the Schiff base ligand, and two Cl ligands. The Zn atom in II is in a tetrahedral geometry by two N and two O atoms from two Schiff base ligands. Crystals of the complexes are stabilized by hydrogen bonds and weak π…π interactions. Fluorescence property of the complexes have been determined.  相似文献

The reactions of copper(II) chloride dihydrate and three bulky Schiff base ligands derived from rimantadine and salicylaldehyde (or methoxy-substituted salicylaldehydes), generated C38H48CuN2O2 (1), C40H52CuN2O4 (2), and C40H52CuN2O4 (3), respectively. These complexes were characterized by infrared spectra, UV–vis, elemental analysis and molar conductance. X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis reveals that 1 has two different spatial configurations, 1a and 1b. For 1a, each asymmetric unit consists of one mononuclear copper(II) molecule. For 1b, each asymmetric unit consists of two copper(II) mononuclear molecules. All the complexes crystallize in the monoclinic system, P21/c space group for 1a and 2; P21/n space group for 1b; C2/c space group for 3. Each complex for 13 consists of one copper(II) and two corresponding deprotonated ligands. The central copper(II) in all complexes is four-coordinate via two nitrogens and two oxygens from the corresponding Schiff base ligands. The geometry around copper in 1a, 1b, and 2 is distorted square planar, but square planar in 3.  相似文献

New organotin(IV) complexes with empirical formula Sn(SNNNS)R2, where SNNNS is the dianionic form of 2,6-diacetylpyridine Schiff bases of S-methyldithiocarbazate (H2dapsme) or S-benzyldithiocarbazate (H2dapsbz) and R = Ph or Me, have been prepared and characterized by IR, UV-Vis, NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopic techniques and conductance measurements. The molecular structures of the Sn(dapsme)R2 (R = Ph and Me) have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Both complexes have a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry in which the tin is coordinated by a dinegatively charged pentadentate chelating agent via pyridine nitrogen, two azomethine nitrogens, and two thiolate sulfurs. The five donors (N3S2) provided by the Schiff base occupy the equatorial plane close to a pentagonal planar array while the carbanion ligands occupy axial sites.  相似文献

Two end-on azido-bridged Co(III) complexes, [Co3(L1)21,1-N3)4(N3)2(OH2)(OCH2CH3)]·0.5H2O (1) and [Co2(L2)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (2), where L1 and L2 are the deprotonated form of 5-methoxy-2-[(2-morpholin-4-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol and 2-ethoxy-6-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol, respectively, were prepared and structurally characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray determination. Complex (1) is a trinuclear Co compound, while complex (2) is a centrosymmetric dinuclear Co compound. In both complexes, the Co atoms are in octahedral coordination. The preliminary biological tests show that the complexes have excellent antibacterial activity.  相似文献

In this paper we describe the electrochemical synthesis and characterization of new neutral manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium and lead complexes with the ligand bis(4-N-methylthiosemicarbazone)-2,6-diacetylpyridine, H4DAPTsz-Me. X-Ray structures of [Mn(H2DAPTsz-Me)(EtOH)2] 1, [Pb(H2DAPTsz-Me)] 3 and [Zn(H2DAPTsz-Me)]2.EtOH.2H2O 4, were also determined. In these complexes the ligand behaves as bis-deprotonated and SNNNS pentadentate. In the manganese complex the metal is heptacoordinated, in a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal environment, with the N3S2 donor set of the ligand in the pentagonal girdle and two solvent molecules occupying the axial positions. In the lead complex 3 the metal is pentacoordinated, bound exclusively to the five donor atoms of the ligand, as a consequence of the existence of "inert pair effect". The bishelical zinc complex 4 shows each zinc atom with different coordination geometry, one octahedrally six-coordinate while the other is distorted tetrahedrally four-coordinate.  相似文献

A new pentadentate Schiff base 2,6,10-triaza-1,11-bis(2′-aminophenyl)-undeca-1,10-diene, abaDPT, and its complexes of general formula M(abaDPT)X2 where M = Cu(II), Ni(II), X = Cl, Br, I, NO3 and ClO4, have been prepared. The complexes have been characterized by electronic and IR spectra, EPR, magnetic moments, molar conductances, and elemental analysis. IR data show an interaction between halide anion of the outer coordination sphere and the complexed amino group. EPR and spectrophotometric data of most of the copper compounds are consistent with a distorted square pyramidal geometry. Single crystal EPR studies of Cu(abaDPT)(NO3)2 and Cu(abaDPT)Br2 revealed that copper atoms in the former compound occupy two magnetically inequivalent places in the lattice while copper atoms in the latter compound take identical sites. Principal g tensor axes of the two compounds have been determined.  相似文献

The crystal of II is triclinic: space group P21/c, a = 8.1441(2), b = 10.4531(3), c = 10.8849(3) Å, α = 84.0240(10)°, β = 76.9800(10)°, γ = 74.2280(10)°, V = 867.92(4) Å3, Z = 1. Complex I consists of a mononuclear cobalt(III) complex cation and a perchlorate anion. Complex II consists of a crystallographic centrosymmetric mononuclear nickel(II) complex cation and two perchlorate anions. Each metal atom in the complexes is in an octahedral coordination.  相似文献

The Ni atom in each of the complexes is coordinated by three donor atoms of the Schiff base ligand and by one N atom of the azide or thiocyanate ligand, forming a square planar geometry. The azide and thiocyanate anions readily coordinate to the complexes as secondary ligands.  相似文献

Summary The reaction of warm alcoholic solutions of acetates of CoII, MnII, ZnII and NiII with 2, 6-diacetylpyridine andS-methylisothiosemicarbazide hydrogen iodide yielded the complexes: [Co(H2L)I2]·H2O, [Mn(H2L)(MeOH)2]I2, [Zn(H2L)(MeOH)I]I and [Ni(HL)]I, (H2L=the pentadentate pentaaza-ligand 2, 6-diacetylpyridine bis(S-methylisothiosemicarbazone)). The reaction of methanolic solutions of [Ni(HL)]I and NH4NCS or LiOAc.2H2O, give [Ni(HL)]NCS and NiL, respectively. For the complexes of CoII, MnII and ZnII, a pentagonal bipyramidal configuration is proposed, with H2L in the equatorial plane and two unidentate ligands (I and/or MeOH) in the axial positions. The complexes [Ni(HL)]X (X=I or NCS) and NiL probably have monomeric five- and dimeric six-coordinate structures, respectively, in which only the chelate ligand is involved in coordination.  相似文献

Condensation of 2,6-diacetylpyridine (dap) with S-methyldithiocarbazate (smdtc) in a 1:2 molar ratio yields a bicondensed pentadentate Schiff base (H2dapsme) which reacts with K2MCl4 (M = PdII, PtII) giving stable complexes of empirical formula, [M(dapsme)] · 0.5Me2CO. These complexes have been characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. Condensation of dap with smdtc in a 1:1 molar ratio also yields the bicondensed Schiff base (H2dapsme) as the major product, but a mono-condensed one-armed Schiff base (Hmdapsme) is also obtained as a minor product. The latter reacts with K2PdCl4 in an EtOH–H2O mixture yielding a crystalline complex of empirical formula, [Pd(mdapsme)Cl], the crystal structure of which has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex has a distorted square-planar structure in which the ligand is coordinated to the palladium(II) ion as a uninegatively charged tridentate chelating agent via the pyridine nitrogen atom, the azomethine nitrogen atom and the thiolate sulfur atom; the oxygen atom of the acetyl group does not participate in coordination.  相似文献

Four new organotin complexes, namely [(Bu2Sn)2O(EtO)(L1)]2 (1), [(Bu2Sn)2O(EtO)(L2)]2 (2), [(Bu2Sn)2O(EtO)(L3)]2 (3) and [Ph3Sn(L4)] · 0.5H2O (4), were obtained by reactions of Bu2SnO and Ph3SnOH with 4-phenylideneamino-3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione (HL1), 4-furfuralideneamino-3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione (HL2), 4-(2-thienylideneamino)-3-ethyl-1,2,4 -triazole-5-thione (HL3) and 4-(3,5-di-t-butylsalicylideneamino)-3-ethyl-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione (HL4). Compounds 1-4 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. Complexes 1-3 show similar structures containing a Sn4O4 ladder skeleton in which each of the exo tin atoms is bonded to the N atom of a corresponding thione-form deprotonated ligand. Complex 4 shows a mononuclear structure in which the tin atom of triphenyltin group is coordinated by the S atom of a thiol-form L4 anion.  相似文献
