We prove the mirror duality conjecture for the mirror pairs constructed by Berglund, Hübsch, and Krawitz. Our main tool is a cohomological LG/CY correspondence which provides a degree-preserving isomorphism between the cohomology of finite quotients of Calabi–Yau hypersurfaces inside a weighted projective space and the Fan–Jarvis–Ruan–Witten state space of the associated Landau–Ginzburg singularity theory.  相似文献

We construct Calabi–Yau 3‐fold orbifolds embedded in weighted projective space in codimension 4. Each Hilbert series we consider is realised by at least two deformation families of Calabi–Yau 3‐folds, distinguished by their topology, echoing a similar phenomenon for Fano 3‐folds in high codimension.  相似文献

We study the generalized hypergeometric system introduced by Gelfand, Kapranov and Zelevinsky and its relationship with the toric Deligne-Mumford (DM) stacks recently studied by Borisov, Chen and Smith. We construct series solutions with values in a combinatorial version of the Chen-Ruan (orbifold) cohomology and in the K-theory of the associated DM stacks. In the spirit of the homological mirror symmetry conjecture of Kontsevich, we show that the K-theory action of the Fourier-Mukai functors associated to basic toric birational maps of DM stacks are mirrored by analytic continuation transformations of Mellin-Barnes type.  相似文献

We prove that any affine, resp. polarized projective, spherical variety admits a flat degeneration to an affine, resp. polarized projective, toric variety. Motivated by mirror symmetry, we give conditions for the limit toric variety to be a Gorenstein Fano, and provide many examples. We also provide an explanation for the limits as boundary points of the moduli space of stable pairs whose existence is predicted by the Minimal Model Program.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth complex projective variety, and let be a smooth very ample hypersurface such that is nef. Using the technique of relative Gromov-Witten invariants, we give a new short and geometric proof of (a version of) the “mirror formula”, i.e. we show that the generating function of the genus zero 1-point Gromov-Witten invariants of Y can be obtained from that of X by a certain change of variables (the so-called “mirror transformation”). Moreover, we use the same techniques to give a similar expression for the (virtual) numbers of degree-d plane rational curves meeting a smooth cubic at one point with multiplicity 3d, which play a role in local mirror symmetry. In this paper, we apply Borcea–Voisin's construction and give new examples of fourfolds containing a del Pezzo surface of degree six, which admit an elliptic fibration on a smooth threefold. Some of these fourfolds are Calabi–Yau varieties, which are relevant for the compactification of Type IIB string theory known as F‐theory. As a by‐product, we provide a new example of a Calabi–Yau threefold with Hodge numbers .  相似文献

This paper deals with polarized pairs , where is a nonsingular projective threefold and is a very ample line bundle on it, such that for one smooth member  | |, one has (Â)=2. A large class of pairs whose adjoint line bundle is nef and big was indirectedly studied by Beltrametti and co-workers. We add some more information, both in this general case and also when the adjoint line bundle fails to be nef and big.  相似文献

Let be a normal complex projective polarized variety and an H‐semistable sheaf on X. We prove that the restriction to a sufficiently positive general complete intersection curve passing through a prescribed finite set of points remains semistable, provided that at each , the variety X is smooth and the factors of a Jordan–Hölder filtration of are locally free. As an application, we obtain a generalization of Miyaoka's generic semipositivity theorem.  相似文献

We determine the geometric structure of a minimal projective threefold having two ‘independent and commutative’ automorphisms of positive topological entropy, and generalize this result to higher-dimensional smooth minimal pairs (X,G). As a consequence, we give an effective lower bound for the first dynamical degree of these automorphisms of X fitting the ‘boundary case’.  相似文献

We apply the methods of C a?ld?raru to construct a twisted Fourier-Mukai transform between a pair of holomorphic symplectic four-folds which are fibred by Lagrangian abelian surfaces. More precisely, we obtain an equivalence between the derived category of coherent sheaves on a certain Lagrangian fibration and the derived category of twisted sheaves on its ‘mirror’ partner. As a corollary, we extend the original Fourier-Mukai transform to degenerations of abelian surfaces. Another consequence of the general theory is that the holomorphic symplectic four-fold and its mirror are connected by a one-parameter family of deformations through Lagrangian fibrations.  相似文献

In order to study stress–strain tensors, we consider their representations as pairs of symmetric 3 × 3‐matrices and the space of such pairs of matrices partitioned into equivalence classes corresponding to change of bases. We see that these equivalence classes are differentiable submanifolds; in fact, orbits under the action of a Lie group. We compute their dimension and obtain miniversal deformations. In this paper we introduce two Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás type properties for bounded linear operators between two Banach spaces X and Y : property 1 and property 2. These properties are motivated by a Kim–Lee result which states, under our notation, that a Banach space X is uniformly convex if and only if the pair satisfies property 2. Positive results of pairs of Banach spaces satisfying property 1 are given and concrete pairs of Banach spaces failing both properties are exhibited. A complete characterization of property 1 for the pairs is also provided.  相似文献

In this note we apply the techniques of the toric systems introduced by Hille–Perling to several problems on smooth projective surfaces: We showed that the existence of full exceptional collection of line bundles implies the rationality for small Picard rank surfaces; we proved equivalences of several notions of cyclic strong exceptional collection of line bundles; we also proposed a partial solution to a conjecture on exceptional sheaves on weak del Pezzo surfaces.  相似文献

Although annuities provide longevity insurance that should be attractive to households facing an uncertain lifespan, rates of voluntary annuitization remain extremely low. We evaluate the Advanced Life Deferred Annuity, an annuity purchased at retirement, providing an income commencing in advanced old age. Using numerical optimization, we show that it would provide a substantial proportion of the longevity insurance provided by an immediate annuity, at much lower cost. At plausible levels of actuarial unfairness, households should prefer it to both immediate and postponed annuitization and an optimal decumulation of unannuitized wealth. Few households would suffer significant losses were it used as a 401(k) plan default.  相似文献

In any characteristic p different from 2 and 5, Kondō gave an example of a K3 surface with a purely non-symplectic automorphism of order 50. The surface was explicitly given as a double plane branched along a smooth sextic curve. In this note we show that, in any characteristic p2,5, a K3 surface with a cyclic action of order 50 is isomorphic to the example of Kondō.  相似文献

We prove that every globally F-regular variety is log Fano. In other words, if a prime characteristic variety X is globally F-regular, then it admits an effective Q-divisor Δ such that −KX−Δ is ample and (X,Δ) has controlled (Kawamata log terminal, in fact globally F-regular) singularities. A weak form of this result can be viewed as a prime characteristic analog of de Fernex and Hacon's new point of view on Kawamata log terminal singularities in the non-Q-Gorenstein case. We also prove a converse statement in characteristic zero: every log Fano variety has globally F-regular type. Our techniques apply also to F-split varieties, which we show to satisfy a “log Calabi-Yau” condition. We also prove a Kawamata-Viehweg vanishing theorem for globally F-regular pairs.  相似文献
