Summary A simple multi-residue procedure has been developed and applied to the analysis of pesticides in groundwater samples from the Comunidad Valenciana, a predominantly agricultural area on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. The procedure includes a liquid-liquid extraction, after addition of NaCl on the samples, and a subsequent analysis by capillary gas chromatography using a dual detection system with electron capture and nitrogen-phosphorous detectors. This allows the determination of more than 30 compounds (organophosphorous, organochlorine and pyrethroid pesticides) at the low ppb (g l–1) levels. Detection limits obtained varied between 0.01 g l–1 (lindane, fonofos) and 0.5 g l–1 (cypermethrin). An additional injection of the sample extracts into a gas chromatograph equipped with a column of different polarity and electron capture detector is used for the confirmation of chromatographic peaks. The recommended procedure has been applied to 66 ground water samples. Pesticides, including organophosphorus and organochlorine compounds were detected in 31 of them, in levels ranging from 0.02 to 0.7 g l–1.  相似文献

Summary Laser microprobe mass analysis (LAMMA) was applied to characterize aerosol particles collected and separated from 16m to 0.06m by a low pressure cascade impactor. Positive ion LAMMA spectra showed characteristic molecular peaks such as PbCl+, a series of Si2O+–Si2O4 + and NaAl2Si2O2 +–NaAl2Si2O5 +, and TiO+ in 0.06–0.12m, 0.5–1m and 4–8m fraction, respectively. In the negative ion LAMMA spectra, it was observed that the fragment peaks of sulfate ions were deficient above 2m and those of nitrate ions were deficient under 2m. LAMMA allows remarkable insights into the chemical nature of aerosol particles.

Zusammenfassung Laser-Microprobe-Spektrometrie (LAMMS) wurde zur Analyse atmosphärischen Aerosols herangezogen, welches im Korngrößenbereich zwischen 16m und 0.06m mit einem Niederdruckkaskadenimpaktor fraktioniert gesammelt wurde. Positive LAMMS-Spektren zeigten charakteristische molekulare Peaks, wie etwa PbCl+, eine Serie von Si2O+–Si2O4 + und NaAl2Si2O2 +–NaAl2Si2O5 +, sowie TiO+ in der 0,06–0,12-m,- 0,5–1–m- bzw. 4–8-m-Fraktion. In den negativen LAMMS-Spektren konnten über 2m keine Fragmentpeaks für Sulfationen, unter 2m. keine für Nitrationen beobachtet werden. LAMMS ermöglicht eine bemerkenswerte Einsicht in die chemische Natur von Aerosolteilchen.

A novel method for the direct determination of the aminoglycoside tobramycin was developed and validated based on reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) with evaporative light scattering detector (ELSD). Using a Waters ODS-2 C18 Spherisorb column with an evaporation temperature of 45°C and nitrogen pressure of 3.5 bar, the selected mobile phase consisted of water/acetonitrile 55:45 containing 1.5 mL L–1 HFBA (11.6 mM) in an isocratic mode at a rate of 1.0 mL min–1. Tobramycins retention time was 4.3 min with an asymmetry factor of 1.7. A logarithmic calibration curve was obtained from 1 to 38 g mL–1 (r > 0.9998). LOD was 0.3 g mL–1; within-day %RSD was 1.0 (n = 3, 4.7 g mL–1) and between-day %RSD was 1.1 (3 days within a week). The developed method was applied to the determination of tobramycin in a pharmaceutical crude substance and formulations (eye drops and ointments). Dilution experiments revealed the absence of interference from excipients (no constant and proportional errors); recovery from spiked samples was 99–103% with %RSD < 2.2 (n = 3×3). The developed HPLC/ELSD method was also found to be applicable in the determination of tobramycin in human plasma (0.6–12.5 g mL–1) and urine (1.5–12.5 g mL–1) after solid-phase extraction using carboxylate cartridges followed by solvent evaporation (×2 preconcentration). A mean recovery of 86% for plasma and 91% for urine was obtained.  相似文献

The cleavage of the di--hydroxo bridges of [Co(nta)(-OH)]2 2– by dimethylaminopyridine (dmap) and pyridine (py) has been investigated. [Co(nta)(-OH)]2 2– equilibrates rapidly in aqueous basic solutions with a mono--hydroxo bridged CoIII species [pK OH = 3.26(2)] and both these species react with the incoming ligand to form different ion associated species which react in the subsequent rate-determining steps (k 1 and k 2) to form presumably a ligand-substituted, mono-bridged species, [(nta)(OH)Co--OH-Co(nta)(L)]2–. Values for k 2, the preferred mono--hydroxo bridged substitution pathway for these reactions, vary between 6.8(2) × 10–4 s–1 (py) and 8.5(4) × 10–2 s–1 (dmap).  相似文献

Column preconcentration methods have been established for the spectrophotometric determination of trace nitrite with sulfanilic acid (SA) orp-aminoacetophenone (AAP) as the diazotizable aromatic amine andN, N-dimethylaniline (DMA) or 1-aminonaphthalene (AN) as the coupling agent, using differention-pairs co-precipitated with biphenyl. Nitrite ion reacts with SA in the pH range 2.0–3.0 and AAP in the pH range 1.7–3.0 in HCl medium to form water-soluble colourless diazonium cations. These cations are subsequently coupled with DMA in the pH range 3.7–6.1 for the SA-DMA system and AN in the pH range 1.7–2.3 for the AAP-AN system to be retained on microcrystalline biphenyl packed in a column. The solid mass is dissolved out from the column with 5 ml of DMF and the absorbance is measured by a spectrophotometer at 420 nm for the SA-DMA system and at 517 nm for the AAP-AN system. The calibration was linear over the concentration ranges 0.3–6.0 g of nitrite in 5 ml of DMF solution (i.e., 0.02–0.40 g/ml in the sample solution) for the SA-DMA system and 0.5–7.0 g of nitrite in 5 ml of DMF solution (i.e., 0.03–0.47 g/ml in the sample solution) for the AAP-AN system. The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity were respectively 2.63 × 104lmol–1cm–1 and 1.75 × 10–3 g cm–2 for SA-DMA and 3.28 × 104lmol–1 cm–1 and 1.40 × 10–3 g cm–2 for AAP-AN. The concentration factors were 4 and 16 for SA-DMA and AAP-AN, respectively. The detection limits were 0.0138 and 0.0175 g/ml NO2 for SA-DMA and AAP-AN, respectively. Seven replicate determinations of a solution containing 3.5 g of nitrite gave mean absorbances of 0.410 and 0.500 with relative standard deviations of 0.51 and 0.55% for SA-DMA and AAP-AN, respectively. Interference from various foreign ions has been studied and the methods have been applied to the determination of nitrite in environmental samples.  相似文献

A rapid high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method using a monolithic column with UV detection at 238 nm was developed for the determination of fenpropathrin, betacyfluthrin, deltamethrin, and permethrin (cis and trans isomers) in whole urine. The method is based on the use of a monolithic chromatographic column and a restricted access material (RAM) cartridge for sample preparation. The mobile phase was water/acetonitrile (42:58 v/v), the flow rate was 3 mL min–1, and chromatographic separation was carried out in 10 min. The separation of cis and trans isomers of permethrin was also possible under the above-mentioned conditions. Detection limits in reconstituted whole urine samples were between 0.9 g L–1 for betacyfluthrin and 4.4 g L–1 for fenpropathrin and trans-permethrin. Recoveries for urine samples spiked with different amounts of pyrethroids (between 19 g L–1 and 75 g L–1) were in the 70±6 to 90±7% range.  相似文献

A time-based sequential dispensing on-line column preconcentration procedure for mercury determination at trace levels by cold vapour generation inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (CV-ICP-AES), by means of a unified module of a preconcentration column and a gas–liquid separator (PCGLS) is described. The complex of mercury formed on-line with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) is retained on the surface of the hydrophobic poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) turnings, which are packed into the lower compartment of the PCGLS. Subsequently, mercury vapour is generated directly on the PTFE turnings by reductant SnCl2 and separated from the liquid mixture via the PCGLS by argon purge gas. The outlet of the PCGLS is connected directly to the torch adapter of the plasma without the normal spray chamber and nebulizer. With 60-s preconcentration time and 12.0 mL min–1 sample flow rate, the sampling frequency is 30 h–1. The calibration curve is linear over the concentration range 0.02–5.0 g L–1, the detection limit (cL) is 0.01 g L–1 and the relative standard deviation (sr) is 3.1% at the 1.0 g L–1 level. The proposed method was evaluated by analysis of BCR CRM 278 (Mytilus Edulis) reference material and applied to the determination of total mercury in digested urine, blood and hair samples.  相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used to determine the concentration of platinum (Pt) in silicone breast implant gel (range, 0.26–48.90 g g–1 Pt; n=15), elastomer (range, 3.05–28.78 g g–1 Pt; n=7), double lumen (range, 5.79–125.27 g g–1 Pt; n=7), foam (range, 5.79–8.36 g g–1 Pt; n=2), and capsular tissue (range, 0.003–0.272 g g–1 Pt; n=15). The results show that very high levels of Pt are present in the encasing elastomer, double lumen, and foam envelope materials. Silicone breast implants can be a source of significant Pt exposure for individuals with these implants.  相似文献

The following biologically active diiodohalides of organic cations were studied: N-cetylpyridinium, trimethylbenzylammonium, triethylbenzylammonium, and N,N-dimethylmorpholinium diiodochlorides; N-cetylpyridinium, tetramethylammonium, tetrabutylammonium, and N,N-dimethylmorpholinium diiodobromides; and N,N-dimethylmorpholinium and butyroylcholinium triiodides. A simple and rapid procedure was proposed for the determination of the above compounds; it is based on the conversion of organic diiodohalides into the corresponding triiodides (300 nm 4 × 104; 370 nm 2 × 104) in the presence of excess potassium iodide (RSD 2%). An extraction–spectrophotometric method was developed for the quantitative determination of the biologically active compounds in pharmaceutical dosage forms based on their ion associates with anionic dyes, erythrosine (m min = 1.25–3.30 g; RSD 3%) and Bromothymol Blue (m min = 3.85 g; RSD = 3%), or a cationic dye—1,3-dimethyl-2-(4-morpholinophenyl)azobenzimidazolium phenylsulfate (m min = 2.32–8.26 g; RSD 4%). Summary A method has been proposed for the determination of small quantities of Cl, SCN and I in mixtures. The method is based on the use of filter paper evenly impregnated with Ag2CrO4. The method permits the determination of 5 to 50g of Cl; 15 to 100g of I and 10 to 150g of SCN with an accuracy of 1.5%.The method may also be used for determination of SCN alone.
Zusammenfassung Ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung kleiner Mengen Chlorid, Rhodanid und Jodid in deren Gemischen wird vorgeschlagen. Es beruht auf der Verwendung eines mit Silberchromat gleichmäßig imprägnierten Filtrierpapierstreifens und ermöglicht die Bestimmung von 5 bis 50g Chlorid,15 bis 100g Jodid und 10 bis 150g Rhodanid mit einer Genauigkeit von 1,5%. Das Verfahren kann auch für die Bestimmung von Rhodanid allein verwendet werden.

Résumé On a proposé une méthode pour le dosage de petites quantités de Cl, SCN, et I en mélanges. La méthode est fondée sur l'emploi d'un papierfiltre uniformément imprégné d'Ag2CrO4. Elle permet le dosage de 5 à 50g de Cl, 15 à 100g d'I et de 10 à 150g de SON, à la précision de 1,5%. On peut aussi utiliser la méthode pour le dosage de SCN seul.

Complexation of aluminium(III) with the fluorogenic ligand chromotropic acid (4,5-dihydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid) has been revisited with the aim of using enhancement of the fluorescence intensity as an analytical tool. Complexation at the optimum pH4 was shown to lead to a 1:1 complex with a stability constant log 110=18.4±0.7. The fluorogenic effect was thoroughly investigated. Nearly selective excitation of the chelate rather than the ligand could be achieved at wavelengths longer than 360 nm. For analytical purposes the main interfering ion was Ga3+. The strongest competing ligand was shown to be citric acid. Competitive complexation by acetate or formate ions can also make their use in a buffer at the usual concentration, 0.2 mol L–1, questionable, whereas a 10–2 mol L–1 formic acid buffer was shown to be a good alternative. The calibration plot showed that the dependence of response on Al(III) concentration was linear up to 500 g L–1; the detection limit was 0.65 g L–1 (3SD blank, n=10, SD=±1.4% at 10 g L–1 and ±0.8% at 100 g L–1). The analytical procedure was successfully applied to several samples of tap water and the results were in good agreement with those from AAS determination.  相似文献

Summary A high-performance liquid chromatographic method is discribed for the determination of 6-amino-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxepan-5-ol using Spherisorb ODS II stationary phase and mobile phase 30:70 (v/v) methanol: aqueous 1-octane sulfonic acid. Detection was fluorimetric following postcolumn derivatization with o-phthaladehyde/2-mercaptoethanol. The procedure was applied to the analysis of aqueous solutions and microcrystalline suspensions in liquid paraffin, prepared for investigation of the toxicological profile. The method was validated for selectivity, linearity of detector response, repeatability, limit of detection and quantitation. The HPLC method was selective. The instrumental limit of detection was 0.5 ng per injection (0.05 g mL–1). The method detection limits were 0.5 g mL–1 aqueous solution and 5 g mL–1 liquid paraffin suspension, the quantitation limit 0.05 mg mL–1 aqueous solution and 1.0 mg mL–1 liquid paraffin. Linearity was within 0.94–47.1 g mL–1. Intra-assay accuracy accounted for 99–100% in the range 0.05–226 mg mL–1 aqueous solution, intra-assay precision for 2% (C.V.). For microcrystalline liquid paraffin suspensions with 1 and 250 mg mL–1 99 and 109% was found for intra-assay accuracy. Intra-assay precision was 5% (C.V.). Reliable results over a wide concentration range can be obtained. The procedure is considered valid for determination of the analyte in aqueous solution or microcrystalline paraffin oil suspensions.  相似文献

A simple, rapid, and precise high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of nimesulide in pharmaceutical preparations was proposed using Ibuprofen as an internal standard. The separation was performed on a CLC C18 (5 m, 25 cm × 4.6 mm i.d.) column with a mobile phase consisting of an acetonitrile–0.05 M KH2PO4 buffer mixture of pH 7.00 (55 : 45, v/v). The detection was carried out at 230 nm and the linearity range was found to be 0.5–100 g/mL. The method has been applied successfully to the determination of nimesulide in pharmaceutical formulations. The recovery values were found to be in the range of 99.23–100.13% with RSD values of less than 0.97%.  相似文献

5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3-chloro-4-sulfophenyl)porphine (m-Cl-TPPS4) was synthesized and used for the Spectrophotometric determination of mercury by flow injection analysis. A pseudo-first-order reaction kinetic mechanism was proposed with a rate constant of 0.8 min–1 for Hg(II) withm-Cl-TPPS4 in the presence of 8-hydroxyquinoline in a medium of 1.0M acetic acid and sodium acetate buffer solution (pH 6.22). In the optimum conditions of reaction temperature (85 ° C), stopped-flow time (60 s) and sampling volume (100 l), the method's relative standard deviation was 0.82% (n = 12) at 5.0 g ml–1 mercury, with a linear range of 0–12.0 g ml–1 and an analytical frequency of 60h–1. The detection limit (3) was 0.025 g ml–1. Interference studies showed that most metal ions co-existing with Hg2+ could be tolerated at 100-fold excess levels, but Zn2+, Cu2+ and Mn2+ needed to be masked. The method has been applied to the analysis of water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Novel, simple, rapid, highly sensitive, and direct determination of iodide and thiocyanate ions in seawater has been performed by liquid chromatography (LC) with UV detection at 220 nm. The separation was achieved on a C30 column of conventional size (150 mm × 4.6 mm i.d.) modified with poly(ethylene glycol); an aqueous solution of 300 mM sodium sulfate and 50 mM sodium chloride was used as mobile phase. Detection limits (S/N=3) obtained by injecting a 20-L sample were 0.5 and 6 ng mL–1 for iodide and thiocyanate, respectively. The method was successfully used for rapid and direct determination of iodide and thiocyanate in seawater samples, collected from the coasts of Japan, without any extra pretreatment.Dedicated to Professor K. Summary Two packing materials, C18 and PLRP-S, are studied for on-line trace enrichment of phenolic compounds in water. Various precolumns of different internal diameter are also tested and the addition of an ion-pair reagent to increase retention and thus, breakthrough volumes of phenolic compounds, is studied. Best results are obtained when a PLRP-S precolumn is coupled on-line with a C18 analytical column and DAD detector. Addition of TBA considerably increases breakthrough volumes. In contrast, when a C18 precolumn is used, breakthrough volumes are lower and it is impossible to determine TCP and PCP, under the experimental conditions used, because of interference of other nonpolar compounds in the samples. The performance of the system is evaluated with river and tap water and the preconcentration of 10 ml of sample in a PLRP-S precolumn involves a linear range between 1 g 1–1 and 20 l–1 and limits of determination between 0.5 g l–1 and 1 g l–1 are obtained.  相似文献

A highly sensitive and selective ion-chromatographic procedure with UV detection at 227 nm was developed for the determination of trace amounts of iodide. The procedure utilizes 0.1M NaOH as eluent, which enables the determination of 1–100 g I–1 I with a precision of ca. 6%. 1000-fold amounts of other anions such as fluoride, chloride, phosphate, sulphate, bromide, nitrite and nitrate do not interfere. The method has been applied to determine iodide in sea water samples from the Indian coast.  相似文献

Precise and accurate determination of hexavalent chromium in different types of solid environmental sample is regarded as a technical challenge with significant potential error if historically accepted methods are used. Microwave-assisted alkaline extraction (0.5 mol L–1 NaOH+0.28 mol L–1 Na2CO3) followed by anion-exchange chromatographic separation and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrophotometric detection has been shown to provide accurate and precise results. To obtain a better understanding of potential species conversion during and/or after extraction steps, speciated isotope-dilution mass spectrometry (SIDMS) (EPA Method 6800) metrology has been successfully applied as a diagnostic tool with the modified accompanying extraction version of EPA Method 3060A. In our study, aggregate materials distributed over a large area of a major western US state were found to contain a high concentration of total chromium (195±13 to 709±19 g g–1) and significant amounts of Cr6+ (141±6 to 341±29 g g–1) which are at least three orders of magnitude higher than the US EPA threshold limit (0.5 g g–1). Sediment samples from a major western US state, studied independently, were found to contain less (1.77±0.34 g g–1) or no Cr6+ in the presence of significant total chromium.  相似文献

Summary A gas chromatograph/mass selective detector method is presented for the analysis of the major metabolic residues of metolachlor by acid hydrolysis of tomato fruit. The two major hydrolysis products, CGA-37913 (2-[2-ethyl-6-methylphenyl]amino-1-propanol) and derivatised CGA-49751 (4-[2-ethyl-6-methylphenyl]-2-hydroxy-5-methyl-3-morpholinone) were monitored in the selective ion mode atm/z 162 andm/z 160, respectively. Recoveries from 87 to 96% were obtained for tomato fortified at 50 to 200g kg–1. The proposed method of analysis will allow for a detection limit of 11 g kg–1 for CGA-37913 and 12 g kg–1 for the derivatised CGA-49751.  相似文献

Summary Simultaneous Determination of Chromium(VI) and Chromium(III) by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry with a Chelating Ion-Exchange Flow Injection System A simple method is described for the simultaneous determination of chromium(VI) and chromium(III) in a flow injection system comprising chelating ion-exchange and flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Sampling rates for 2001 and 1 ml sample volumes were 120 and 60 h–1 (240 and 120 speciations per hour), respectively. Typical relative standard deviations were 0.52% for Cr(VI) (0.50g ml–1 and 0.67% for Cr(III) (0.10,g ml–1) and the corresponding limits of detection were 85 ng ml–1, and 16 ng ml–1, respectively.On leave from University of Belgrade.  相似文献
