In this paper, we constructed the split‐step θ (SSθ)‐method for stochastic age‐dependent population equations. The main aim of this paper is to investigate the convergence of the SS θ‐method for stochastic age‐dependent population equations. It is proved that the proposed method is convergent with strong order 1/2 under given conditions. Finally, an example is simulated to verify the results obtained from the theory, and comparative analysis with Euler method is given, the results show the higher accuracy of the SS θ‐method. In this paper, we first propose the so‐called improved split‐step theta methods for non‐autonomous stochastic differential equations driven by non‐commutative noise. Then, we prove that the improved split‐step theta method is convergent with strong order of one for stochastic differential equations with the drift coefficient satisfying a superlinearly growing condition and a one‐sided Lipschitz continuous condition. Finally, the obtained results are verified by numerical experiments. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we present two composite Milstein methods for the strong solution of Stratonovich stochastic differential equations driven by d-dimensional Wiener processes. The composite Milstein methods are a combination of semi-implicit and implicit Milstein methods. The criterion for choosing either the implicit or the semi-implicit method at each step of the numerical solution is given. The stability and convergence properties of the proposed methods are analyzed for the linear test equation. It is shown that the proposed methods converge to the exact solution in Stratonovich sense. In addition, the stability properties of our methods are found to be superior to those of the Milstein and the composite Euler methods. The convergence properties for the nonlinear case are shown numerically to be the same as the linear case. Hence, the proposed methods are a good candidate for the solution of stiff SDEs.  相似文献

The paper deals with the oscillation analysis of numerical solution in the θ‐methods for differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of advanced type. The conditions of the oscillation for the θ‐method are obtained. It is proved that the oscillation of the analytic solution is preserved by the θ‐ method. Some numerical experiments are given. We consider the mean-square stability of the so-called improved split-step theta method for stochastic differential equations. First, we study the mean-square stability of the method for linear test equations with real parameters. When θ 3/2, the improved split-step theta methods can reproduce the mean-square stability of the linear test equations for any step sizes h 0. Then, under a coupled condition on the drift and diffusion coefficients, we consider exponential mean-square stability of the method for nonlinear non-autonomous stochastic differential equations. Finally, the obtained results are supported by numerical experiments.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the oscillation of numerical solution for the Nicholson's blowflies model. Using two kinds of θ‐methods, namely, the linear θ‐method and the one‐leg θ‐method, several conditions under which the numerical solution oscillates are derived. Moreover, it is shown that every non‐oscillatory numerical solution tends to equilibrium point of the original continuous‐time model. Finally, numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the analytical results. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, the generalized Rosenau–KdV equation is split into two subequations such that one is linear and the other is nonlinear. The resulting subequations with the prescribed initial and boundary conditions are numerically solved by the first order Lie–Trotter and the second‐order Strang time‐splitting techniques combined with the quintic B‐spline collocation by the help of the fourth order Runge–Kutta (RK‐4) method. To show the accuracy and reliability of the proposed techniques, two test problems having exact solutions are considered. The computed error norms L2 and L with the conservative properties of the discrete mass Q(t) and energy E(t) are compared with those available in the literature. The convergence orders of both techniques have also been calculated. Moreover, the stability analyses of the numerical schemes are investigated.  相似文献

In this work, a class of nonstandard finite difference (NSFD) schemes are proposed to approximate the solutions of a class of generalized convection–diffusion–reaction equations. First, in the case of no diffusion, two exact finite difference schemes are presented using the method of characteristics. Based on these two exact schemes, a class of exact schemes are presented by introducing a parameter α. Second, since the forms of these exact schemes are so complicated that they are not convenient to use, a class of NSFD schemes are derived from the exact schemes using numerical approximations. It follows that, under certain conditions about denominator function of time‐step sizes, these NSFD schemes are elementary stable and the solutions are positive and bounded. Third, by means of the Mickens' technique of subequations, a new class of implicit NSFD schemes are constructed for the full convection–diffusion–reaction equations. It is shown that, under certain parameters set, these NSFD schemes are capable of preserving the non‐negativity and boundedness of the analytical solutions. Finally, some numerical simulations are provided to verify the validity of our analytical results. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 31: 1288–1309, 2015  相似文献

In this paper we discuss split-step forward methods for solving Itô stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Eight fully explicit methods, the drifting split-step Euler (DRSSE) method, the diffused split-step Euler (DISSE) method and the three-stage Milstein (TSM 1a-TSM 1f) methods, are constructed based on Euler-Maruyama method and Milstein method, respectively, in this paper. Their order of strong convergence is proved. The analysis of stability shows that the mean-square stability properties of the methods derived in this paper are improved on the original methods. The numerical results show the effectiveness of these methods in the pathwise approximation of Itô SDEs.  相似文献

In the present study, the operator splitting techniques based on the quintic B‐spline collocation finite element method are presented for calculating the numerical solutions of the Rosenau–KdV–RLW equation. Two test problems having exact solutions have been considered. To demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the present methods, the error norms L2 and L with the discrete mass Q and energy E conservative properties have been calculated. The results obtained by the method have been compared with the exact solution of each problem and other numerical results in the literature, and also found to be in good agreement with each other. A Fourier stability analysis of each presented method is also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, the reproducing kernel Hilbert space method (RKHSM) is applied to neutral functional–differential equations with proportional delays. Its approximate solution is obtained by truncating the n‐term of exact solution. Some examples are displayed to demonstrate the computation efficiency of the method. We also compare the performance of the method with a particular Runge–Kutta method, a one‐leg θ‐method and variational iteration method. Experiment dates indicate that the RKHSM is an accurate and efficient method to solve neutral functional–differential equations with proportional delays. In this paper, a high‐order accurate numerical method for two‐dimensional semilinear parabolic equations is presented. We apply a Galerkin–Legendre spectral method for discretizing spatial derivatives and a spectral collocation method for the time integration of the resulting nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations. Our formulation can be made arbitrarily high‐order accurate in both space and time. Optimal a priori error bound is derived in the L2‐norm for the semidiscrete formulation. Extensive numerical results are presented to demonstrate the convergence property of the method, show our formulation have spectrally accurate in both space and time. The aim of this paper is to propose mixed two‐grid finite difference methods to obtain the numerical solution of the one‐dimensional and two‐dimensional Fitzhugh–Nagumo equations. The finite difference equations at all interior grid points form a large‐sparse linear system, which needs to be solved efficiently. The solution cost of this sparse linear system usually dominates the total cost of solving the discretized partial differential equation. The proposed method is based on applying a family of finite difference methods for discretizing the spatial and time derivatives. The obtained system has been solved by two‐grid method, where the two‐grid method is used for solving the large‐sparse linear systems. Also, in the proposed method, the spectral radius with local Fourier analysis is calculated for different values of h and Δt. The numerical examples show the efficiency of this algorithm for solving the one‐dimensional and two‐dimensional Fitzhugh–Nagumo equations. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We show that a modified Milstein scheme combined with explicit Newton’s method enables us to construct fast converging sequences of approximate solutions of stochastic differential equations. The fast uniform convergence of our Newton–Milstein scheme follows from Amano’s probabilistic second-order error estimate, which had been an open problem since 1991. The Newton–Milstein scheme, which is based on a modified Milstein scheme and the symbolic Newton’s method, will be classified as a numerical and computer algebraic hybrid method and it may give a new possibility to the study of computer algebraic method in stochastic analysis.  相似文献

A method for solving the time dependent Navier‐Stokes equations, aiming at higher Reynolds' number, is presented. The direct numerical simulation of flows with high Reynolds' number is computationally expensive. The method presented is unconditionally stable, computationally cheap, and gives an accurate approximation to the quantities sought. In the defect step, the artificial viscosity parameter is added to the inverse Reynolds number as a stability factor, and the system is antidiffused in the correction step. Stability of the method is proven, and the error estimations for velocity and pressure are derived for the one‐ and two‐step defect‐correction methods. The spacial error is O(h) for the one‐step defect‐correction method, and O(h2) for the two‐step method, where h is the diameter of the mesh. The method is compared to an alternative approach, and both methods are applied to a singularly perturbed convection–diffusion problem. The numerical results are given, which demonstrate the advantage (stability, no oscillations) of the method presented. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we present the composite Milstein methods for the strong solution of Ito stochastic differential equations. These methods are a combination of semi-implicit and implicit Milstein methods. We give a criterion for choosing either the implicit or the semi-implicit scheme at each step of our numerical solution. The stability and convergence properties are investigated and discussed for the linear test equation. The convergence properties for the nonlinear case are shown numerically to be the same as the linear case. The stability properties of the composite Milstein methods are found to be more superior compared to those of the Milstein, the Euler and even better than the composite Euler method. This superiority in stability makes the methods a better candidate for the solution of stiff SDEs.  相似文献

We consider the stability of an efficient Crank–Nicolson–Adams–Bashforth method in time, finite element in space, discretization of the Leray‐α model. We prove finite‐time stability of the scheme in L2, H1, and H2, as well as the long‐time L‐stability of the scheme under a Courant‐Freidrichs‐Lewy (CFL)‐type condition. Numerical experiments are given that are in agreement with the theoretical results. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 32: 1155–1183, 2016  相似文献

The current paper is devoted to stochastic Ginzburg–Landau–Newell equation with degenerate random forcing. The existence and pathwise uniqueness of strong solutions with H1‐initial data is established, and then the existence of an invariant measure for the Feller semigroup is shown by Krylov–Bogoliubov theorem. Because of the coupled items in the stochastic Ginzburg–Landau–Newell equations, the higher order momentum estimates can be only obtained in the L2‐norm. We show the ergodicity of invariant measure for the transition semigroup by asymptotically strong Feller property and the support property. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A semidiscretization based method for solving Hamiltonian partial differential equations is proposed in this article. Our key idea consists of two approaches. First, the underlying equation is discretized in space via a selected finite element method and the Hamiltonian PDE can thus be casted to Hamiltonian ODEs based on the weak formulation of the system. Second, the resulting ordinary differential system is solved by an energy‐preserving integrator. The relay leads to a fully discretized and energy‐preserved scheme. This strategy is fully realized for solving a nonlinear Schrödinger equation through a combination of the Galerkin discretization in space and a Crank–Nicolson scheme in time. The order of convergence of our new method is if the discrete L2‐norm is employed. An error estimate is acquired and analyzed without grid ratio restrictions. Numerical examples are given to further illustrate the conservation and convergence of the energy‐preserving scheme constructed.© 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
