The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two countable families of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Using this result, we also discuss the problem of strong convergence concerning the maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Takahashi, A strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, J. Approx. Theory 134 (2005) 257-266] and the results of Plubtieng and Ungchittrakool [S. Plubtieng, K. The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two closed hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Finally, a new simplified hybrid algorithm has been proposed and relative convergence theorem has been proved by using the new method for proofs. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita, Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. The purpose of this paper is by using the hybrid iterative method to prove some strong convergence theorems for approximating a common element of the set of solutions to a system of generalized mixed equilibrium problems and the set of common fixed points for two countable families of closed and asymptotically relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space. The purpose of this paper is to propose a modified block iterative algorithm for find a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the set of an equilibrium problem. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space with the Kadec-Klee property. As an application, at the end of the paper a numerical example is given. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Qin et al. [Convergence theorems of common elements for equilibrium problems and fixed point problem in Banach spaces, J. Comput. Appl. Math., 225, 2009, 20-30], Zhou et al. In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space by using the hybrid method in mathematical programming. Using this result, we also discuss the problem of strong convergence concerning nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space and maximal monotone operators in a Banach space.

A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.

The purpose of this article is to prove some approximation theorems of common fixed points for countable families of total quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings which contain several kinds of mappings as its special cases in Banach spaces. In order to get the approximation theorems, the hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Using this result, we also discuss the problem of strong convergence concerning the maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. In this paper, we established strong convergence theorems for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups by using the hybrid method in a Hilbert space. Moreover, we also proved a strong convergence theorem for a common fixed point of two nonexpansive mappings. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by Kim and Xu [T.W. Kim, H.W. In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We also establish a new control condition for the sequence of mappings {Tn} which is weaker than the control condition in Lemma 3.1 of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi and M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360]. Moreover, we apply our results for finding a common fixed point of two relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space and an element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in a Banach space, respectively. Our results are applicable to a wide class of mappings.

In this paper, we modify Halpern and Mann’s iterations for finding a fixed point of a relatively nonexpansive mapping in a Banach space. Consequently, a strong convergence theorem for a nonspreading mapping is deduced. Using a concept of duality theorems, we also obtain analogue results for certain generalized nonexpansive and generalized nonexpansive type mappings. Finally, we discuss two strong convergence theorems concerning two types of resolvents of a maximal monotone operator in a Banach space.

In this paper, some iterative schemes are given to approximate a fixed point of the nonexpansive non-self-mapping and nonexpansive self-mapping. Furthermore, the strong convergence of the scheme to a fixed point is shown in a Banach space with uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm.
